  • 5 yo Welsh Section B mare
  • Make a stunning first ridden, potential BS under 10's pony
  • Would Event or make a super Pony Club pony

Twiggy is a 5 yo section B mare... she is full up 128cm but is a fine, quality blood pony. She is very correct ,has clean limbs and good feet. No sarcoids ,lumps of bumps. She is the most stunning looking pony , a real super model!

We brought her earlier in the year as a project unbroken.. she has been super to work with , done plenty of long reining and groundwork and is now riding very sweetly. Taken to ridden life like a duck to water. She is walk ,trotting and cantering in the school , is popping round a set of fences and has been XC schooling,  going through water complex's etc.. she's been very genuine to her fences both coloured and natural.

She has been out hacking on the roads and up In the forest.. been great with the traffic we have met ( we are on quiet country lanes ).

Last week she went and did her first little tests .. and scored just under 65 percent in each receiving some lovely comments and a placing.  She was very well behaved out in company and in the collecting ring.

Next week she will attend a small unaffiliated showjumping competition. She has been ridden up the road in walk and trot by my 4 yo boy on the lead rein....

Produced on could do anyjob .. make a stunning first ridden , potential BS under 10's pony..would Event or make a super pony club pony.. she is a versatile type. Would also be a fab lead rein pony with some milage. More of a leg on type ,not a whizzy pony .

Heart and eyes checked when we purchased but open to vetting.

Very straight pony , not the sort that gets her back up if she has a day off.. has a look at things but never ever done anything horrible  but she is newly broken so needs producing along side older child / small mother.. experienced home. She's obviously green and wobbly but happy for child to be kicking and flapping.. not a sensitive type . Ridden recently by a 10 yo girl in all paces.

A gorgeous pony that I can't wait to see excell in the perfect home.

A very comprehensive video of her attached...of the stage she is at so please don't ask for more.

Oswestry..shropshire

No timewasters please

Priced to sell has we have to many and have homebreds to get in from the field ASAP.

I have had this pony since weaned. I bought him unhandled and feral.

He was introduced slowly to his new life, spending the first 12/18 months halter breaking and handling him, progressing on to daily turnout.

Then after all that training he has then been turned out to eat and grow.

He has a lovely temperament and would make a fantastic child’s pony in time or if kept entire a nice stallion.

He is from good breeding lines and has the most beautiful head.

He is fully up to date with vaccinations and feet.

Panda
Black and white cob
Perfect kids pony

SUPER SAFE
KIND, LOVING, SUPERSTAR

Panda is the calmest, considerate, schoolmistress who always takes care of her riders. Ridden by tiny tots both on and off the lead rein.

Tonnes of experience and very safe. Ideal for a beginner, nervous rider or a rider who wants to progress and have some fun, she is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, even though she is extremely safe, she responds to the leg and has 3 excellent paces. She is kind and willing and will do anything you ask, jumps a course of small fences, logs and cross country jumps, she walks, trots and canters incorporating figures of 8, 3 and 4 loop serpentines, 20 metre circles in all paces on and off the lead rein in a slow, steady relaxed gait.

Fantastic all-rounder.

This is a really fantastic pony for anyone to build up their confidence, learn to ride and continue to progress on.
Definitely a 1st and 2nd pony.

She really is a true kids pony who looks after the smallest of riders, she is currently in the riding school teaching children to ride, from complete beginners up to riders who can walk, trot, canter and jump.

She has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups, with the same enthusiasm now as when she first started her riding school career. She is very genuine and loves to hack out, she doesn’t pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, she is the most loving mare you could ever wish to meet, she participates in all our lessons, walkouts, hacks and stable management sessions.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling the tiniest tot to handle her safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed, bathed and pampered.

She has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy schoolmistress, with no ifs or buts.

Panda will hack out alone or in company in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eye lid. She is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of whether she is at the front, middle, back of the ride or on her own, she will not rush or pull even on the way home. She has been all Farm machinery, dogs, bike and isn’t phased.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

She is stabled during the day and out at night within a mixed herd, she is equally happy to be stabled or turned out full time, she keeps herself to herself and never causes any trouble despite being out with 30 other horses.
She isn’t clingy in any way and is happy being stable and or turned out solo.

She is currently barefoot she has excellent manners with the farrier and could be shod if needed, she ties up anywhere, and loves attention.
She is excellent to catch, bath, clip, load, travel and with the farrier and dentist.

Panda would give confidence to any rider/ handler and could easily compete at riding club level, fun/beach rides.

She can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, she is extremely low maintenance, she maintains his weight all year round on grass and hay and Haylage during the winter months.
She has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch, sarcoids, lumps or bumps.

I can honestly say he has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, she has passed the riding school annual inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible pony, with so much to offer.

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around about every few years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again.

We have other horses and ponies available for viewings.

Photos and videos available upon request.

Bubbles has an amazing personality, first to meet you in the field, has a lot of love to give and loves being pampered by children. No biting or kicking and loves to be groomed and made a fuss off.

He was professionally broken late last year, rested over the winter and professionally brought back into riding in the spring.
Beautiful stamp of a Pony, straight and correct with lovely flowing paces, and showing potential over coloured poles.

He is presently being ridden by a 5yo of the lead. Although still green he is a very quick learner and is willing to please. ~Ready to progress to the next stage.

This is a very sad sale. He is going to be a special pony but unfortunately surplus to requirements in his present home.

Pebbles, The Perfect Partner for Riders of All Levels

In the world of horses, it is rare to find one as reliable, versatile, and genuinely kind-hearted as Pebbles. Pebbles has spent the past three years working in a reputable riding school, where she has played a vital role in teaching both children and small adults. Her adaptability is remarkable mare she gently carries complete novices in their first lessons, encourages riders learning to canter and jump, and supports more advanced students through dressage movements, showjumping courses, cross-country schooling, and even gymkhana games. She is a true schoolmistress who brings out the best in everyone she meets.

What sets Pebbles apart is not only her experience but her natural ability to connect with her rider. She knows her job and performs it with quiet confidence. Her paces are balanced and steady, yet she is responsive and willing to work into a soft outline for more experienced riders. She approaches every task with enthusiasm and never displays a trace of sharpness or stubbornness. Whether schooling in the arena or out on a fun ride, she is sensible, enthusiastic, and utterly dependable.

She has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups, basic dressage moves and tests, low level jumping courses and competitions, cross country, gymkhana games she is very genuine and loves to hack out, she never pulls, rush, spook or get nervous of anything.

Pebbles has done pony club, riding club, low level competitions, beach / fun rides prior to her riding school career, so she will return to that lifestyle with ease.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling anyone to handle her safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed.

She has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy Schoolmistress, with no ifs or buts.

Pebbles hacks out in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eye lid, she will wait at traffic lights / roundabouts for as long as required without moving, she doesn’t flinch when articulated lorries, double-decker buses, motorbikes, tractors and trailers fly pass her at some speed.
She is absolutely not fazed by large plant farm machinery.

She has impeccable manners when ridden across open fields, cantered / galloped on grass verges at the side of busy roads, within a group she is happy to be lead file, in the middle or at the back, she doesn’t pull, rush, spin or try and overtake.

She would give confidence to any rider/ handler when showjumping, dressage, cross country, working hunter, in hand, fun rides and beach rides she has been there and done it all.

She doesn’t need to be ridden every day she can go without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, she is extremely low maintenance.
She has never been lame had laminitis, sweet itch or sarcoids. No lumps or bumps. No Marish traits.

Passes are annual Licence Inspection which is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

On the ground, Pebbles continues to impress. She has excellent stable manners and is handled daily by children. She will stand quietly for grooming, bathing, and tacking, even without a head collar. She loads, travels, and clips without fuss and is equally happy stabled or turned out, either in a herd or alone. She is currently barefoot, sound, and has no vices or health issues. Her long-standing participation in riding school life is a testament to her physical soundness and mental stability.

What makes Pebbles particularly special is her ability to give confidence to her rider, no matter their age or ability. She is the sort of pony that helps people fall in love with riding and continue to grow within it. Whether you are beginning your equestrian journey or looking to regain confidence, Pebbles offers a safe and supportive path forward.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

TALLULAH
Gorgeous 2017 dark bay Irish mare standing at a full up 13hh, so beautifully marked and well put together, with a long body and a big step she rides much bigger than 13hh and takes the leg up massively.

Tallulah has lovely paces and produces a great test, she is snaffle mouthed, voice activated and is super safe and easy.

She has done plenty of riding club, showjumping, hunting and dressage. Tallulah will jump whatever you place her at, off any stride and is super careful, a fantastic candidate for a BS pony, or a pony club allrounder as she has plenty of showjumping experience already, she isn’t bothered by XC fences or coloured fillers and she looks after her rider.

She will give you plenty of confidence and makes light work of jumping a track of fences.

She’s super to hack out alone and in company, she isn’t bothered by heavy traffic, farm machinery, or the gayest of traffic, a real super star pony with so much offer and lots of brilliant qualities, she’s special enough to do a showing or worker’s job, but equally a great mother daughter share or pony club pony.

She’s super laid back in the yard, affectionate and sweet to handle in every way, a real easy type to have around with impeccable manners.

Mickey is the ultimate first pony off lead rein he's been there done it and got the t-shirt.

He goes at a nice steady pace and is great in all situations wether at a busy show in the collecting ring or out hacking in the open fields he's Mr dependable, will happily hack behind another horse with the tiniest of jockeys or trot round a x pole class never jumping big and always being steady.

He easily pops into Canter and is very steady and just canters in a rhythm he's never strong and can be pulled up by the smallest of kids.

Mickey is literally the ultimate small just off lead rein child's pony . He's a type impossible to find and what every parent is looking for.

Great to box , trim , bath , trim etc  Very easy on the floor always handled by children. Just a complete superstar.

Mother's absolute dream

The ultimate child's pony, mother's dream and a childs bestest friend.

A real money can't buy pony and the hardest decision I've ever had to make, they don't make ponies like this anymore and are hard to come by

Been there done it and done it all hoof perfect.
Would take any child through the ranks from lead rein pony, 1st pony & 2nd pony. Well put together, stocky leg in each corner kind of pony.
Could go on for days on just how perfect she is at everything.

You want a pony who is 100% safe and will look after your child she is the pony.

Shown at county level, hacks alone or in company. She's never ever put a hoof out of line and always done everything we've ever asked of her we've had her 3 1/2 years she Isn't spooky or nappy never bucked reared or done anything silly. Not lazy and has good breaks.

she's not only ridden by a child but she's handled by a child every day from loading/tacking up/lunging it is done by a child. Rides and leads well has done sponsored rides, beach rides, showing, a complete winning machine and holds her own in the show ring no matter what, pops a little fence nicely, fun clinics, lots of hacking and everything inbetween.

Good to clip/shoe/catch and everything else you can think of.

A pony I could put my life on.

Her ONLY down fall if I'm being completely honest is she prefers to travel loose if alone. (This has never fased us)

The only reason I'm even considering selling her is because I'm kidding myself trying to make my son (9 years old) love my hobby as much as I do and his really not interested as much as it kills me she so deserves to be a child's world and be out there winning pretty rosettes

Would love her to go to an experienced showing home where she will be treated like the princess she is but again this is only my preference have 100s of photos and videos of her and will only go to the best of homes.

Open to vetting.

Transportation can be arranged.

Won't sell unseen.

Located in Kent.

Tack & rugs can be available.

Only for sale no loans, joy riders or time wasters.

And I must warn you I will probably cry a lot

it will be the best money any parent could spend for the safety of their child.

  • Same home since 3 yrs old sadly now outgrown

Been dreading this day and hearts are breaking just writing this but the time has come for this superstar pony to teach another little jockey how it is done.

Percy has been with us since he was 3 years old and we absolutely adore him! He will only go to a 5* family that promise to stay in touch.

What has this pony done? Well more like what hasn’t he done!

Hugo’s passion is to pony race, so that is exactly what we’ve concentrated on for the last 3 years since Hugo turned 9 and was old enough.

As a racing pony he has been very consistent with numerous wins and placings at both pony club and Point to Point open pony races.

Percy has travelled all over the UK pony racing and absolutely loves it. He is a true schoolmaster on the racecourse who will teach his next little jockey the ropes. Very well mannered at the races, perfect to lead up, tack up and never silly at the start.

Percy has been to Newmarket British Racing School pony racing camp for a week and was an absolute star from start to finish.

Before Hugo was old enough to start pony racing Percy did EVERYTHING! To name a few, hunting, pony club rallies, pony camps, mounted games, numerous local show jumping shows, farmrides, beach rides, hunter trials, dressage etc. He really has done it all.

He has lovely flatwork and works in a great rhythm and shape. Percy moves beautifully and would show or do a lovely dressage test.

Hugo hacks him for hours and hours through the forests cantering about etc with his friends and I just leave him to it. Percy hasn’t really hacked alone as he has always been ridden by kids, so will need work on that.

Always ridden at home and at the gallops by the kids in a snaffle. They do everything with him, from catching him, tacking him up, loading him, bathing him, mucking him out etc.

He is a complete darling to travel in a trailer or horsebox, excellent to catch, shoe, stable, turnout.

Percy does pull grumpy faces in his stable but this has never been an issue! Hugo just ties him up and cracks on. No problem at all to muck out with him in stable etc.

Percy’s halo can occasionally slip and he will have a very mild nap if he doesn’t fancy doing something. So he wouldn’t be for a novice as he needs telling from time to time. However saying this Hugo has ridden him since he was 6yrs old with no real issues.

This pony is very special to us and his new family is priority.

We are based in Whitchurch, Shropshire. I can get numerous references for this gorgeous boy.

Rosie is a delightful 3-year-old black cob mare standing at approximately 12.1hh. Recently weaned from her foal, she has settled beautifully into her current environment and is showing all the qualities of a wonderful project pony. With her gentle and confident nature,

Rosie thrives on human interaction and enjoys spending time with her handlers.

She is excellent to catch, leads well with a soft response to pressure, and is happy to be groomed all over, including her mane, tail, and feathered legs. Rosie is good with the vet and farrier. She’s currently living out 24/7 in a herd of mares but is happy to part stable and has previously lived in a mixed herd.

Rosie is an unbacked pony and is available for adoption as a project. With her calm temperament and promising foundation, she could have potential as a child's lead rein or ridden pony in the future, with appropriate training and development. She’s looking for a committed and experienced home that can help her flourish into the lovely pony she is destined to be.

Approx 12hh Registered Welsh Section A gelding, 16 years old. Heartbreaking sale of my daughter’s best friend.

Casper has been a brilliant first pony for my daughter. He’s taken her from a very timid, lead rein jockey to cantering confidently around open fields and competing at a variety of local events. He has given her all her first riding experiences off the yard - clinics, Working Hunter, SJ, mini HT and XC and a very memorable ride with friends around Somerford Park farm ride, jumping everything their in path.

Calm and sensible when out and about, he doesn’t get lit up in open spaces or on group rides. Happy in busy practice rings and falls asleep ringside between classes - he won’t stand alone on the trailer, but this has never affected us as he’s so easy at a show.

He’s been ridden bareback, vaulted on, dressed in tinsel, bells, flowers (and as a lion in his previous home!) and hasn’t batted an eyelid. Never bucked, reared, bolted. If you stop kicking, he will come back in two strides; which has given my daughter so much confidence - we just now need a bigger pony with more gears as she has grown so much, and is ready to take on new challenges.

He has a lovely way of going with three smooth, balanced paces - and can really strut his stuff with longer legs on board! Happy on the lead with little jockeys teaching up-downs and first canters on the lunge, but equally would produce a lovely little dressage test with a more established jockey. Has jumped up to 70cm at home and xc schooling - where he truly excels - and has competed at 30/40/50 cm on and off lead - decorating both my daughters’ bedroom walls with rosettes. Will back off show jumps with fillers and takes some encouraging with new fences, so please don’t enquire if you are looking for a pony to carry a child around a course - that isn’t who he is. He loves XC fences and is a saint with steps, ditches and water. He will follow or lead just the same and stand watching others patiently. XC is my daughters favourite discipline, due entirely to the feeling Casper has given her.

He is easy to do and used to children, non-riders, dogs, poultry and sheep. He is my go-to pony when we have friends to visit who don’t ride, and has been used routinely for teaching riding lessons.

Sweet-natured, loves fuss, grooming and kisses and has no stable vices. Very much the Welsh pony, he will tow to grass / haynet / feed bins when leading (show me a pony that doesn’t!) but has been independently handled, tacked up, loaded etc by my daughter - he’s just taught her to be on the ball!

Never sick or sorry and very low maintenance. Up to date with vaccinations, dentist, farrier and physio (routine). I’ve regularly updated his previous owner on our adventures and have had contact with the previous home too, so most history known. Super feet, always been barefoot and never had health issues.

He has been the centre of our happiest moments in 2024 and 2025 - we have hundreds of photos and videos of all we have done. He is fit and ready to help another young jockey learn the ropes and go on adventures together. We are looking for a kind, loving and knowledgeable family home, and will not be rushing the sale as we adore him. He will come with some tack and full wardrobe. Newly fitted Black Country saddle available by separate negotiation.

POA - please message or call Emily on 07956107499 with any questions. WhatsApp fine but I have issues with SMS!

Oreo is a beautifully put-together 12.2hh Gypsy Cob mare with the temperament every parent dreams of. Safe, sensible, and full of love — this pony has been a real confidence-giver and is now looking for her next little person due to my daughter sadly outgrowing her.

Full history known, Oreo has been in the same extended family since she was backed. She spent time at a riding school (not dead to the leg!) when she returned to our good friends, my daughter fell in love and so she came to us. Still living in her original home. Since then, she’s taken my autistic, highly anxious 11-year-old daughter from being ready to give up riding altogether to confidently hacking, showing, jumping, and even tackling XC courses.

A true first pony or second pony.
Oreo is:
- Bombproof in all settings; heavy traffic, dogs, open spaces, nothing phases her
- Easy to handle; perfect with farrier, vet, to catch, load, groom, bathe
- Happy living in a mixed herd, and turns out beautifully
- Hacks alone or in company
- Ridden off lead by 4 &5-year-olds never puts a hoof wrong
- Recently jumping 70cm with ease
- Not fizzy or sharp, but responsive and willing
- Manners to burn both on the ground and ridden
- Stunning to look at; thick mane, tail, and feathers

Oreo would make a super Pony Club all-rounder, or stepping stone to independence. She’s been to the beach, local shows, clinics, and is always impeccably behaved.

We may consider a swap or part exchange for a safe, sensible 14.2/15hh pony suitable for a novice (but not complete beginner) child rider.
Serious enquiries only; home is absolutely paramount.

LEAD REIN, SHOW PONY OR SMALL ADULTS SUPERSTAR

  • Very safe slow and steady for a lead rein
  • Moves beautifully and would excel if prepared for a show home
  • Extremely talented if has a strong rider

This pony can sort of do it all - so depending on what you are looking for he may be just what you need.

Stable name: Prince
Passport name: Chanwin Celtic Garland
Sire: Millcroft Beluga (by Millcroft / Royal Lustre x Thornwood Royalist)
Dam: Hilin Garland (by top sire Hilin Carnedd, a Royal Welsh champion and WPCS sire-ratings winner)

Very quiet and needs lots of kicking so either suited to a lead rein OR a stronger more competitive rider as he has the ability but you have to MAKE him work.

Very safe and reliable, does not buck or rear. Happily wobbles about in trot round the fields, out hacking all day long - if out in open space could race another pony in canter.

Very slow and steady in the arena - great to teach someone to canter on, goes like a rocking horse.

Lovely jump and lots of ability. Current owner tried to take BS and whilst he has all the ability she doesn't have the strength to get results.

Would do a fabulous dressage test for a stronger rider & I believe he would be excellent for a showing home.

If you're little and you don't want to kick he's not for you! If you're a light adult and want a flashy pony I find him very easy but you need to ride effectively and not bang and kick about to bring out his best.

Based at Queenz Equestrian. Was previously owned by Queenz, client purchased him and kept him at Queenz, rider now moving on to BS pony with more experience.

We are offering our much-loved 12.2hh mare for sale – a true gem who has safely carried my daughter from age 4 to 9. She is a lovely confidence-giver and a perfect partner for a tiny tot starting their riding journey.

Lead Rein Superstar

This pony is as steady as they come. She’s been our daughter’s best friend and teacher, happily hacking out in all environments – from quiet lanes to busy roads with lorries and tractors. She’s also used to being led off a horse and is equally well-behaved off the lead rein with adult support.

Safe, Sensible & Sweet

• Excellent in heavy traffic
• Barefoot and great to trim
• Good to clip (body and beard but not legs), catch, load, and for the dentist
• Will stand for hours to be groomed – loves fuss and attention
• Never bites or kicks
• Lives in or out and has never had laminitis

Ideal for a Family Home

She’s brilliant on the lunge and will happily teach a child rising trot and the basics. While she’s not a true first ridden off the lead, she will go off in the school with an adult nearby to encourage her forward. She’s a pony you can trust to look after your child while you enjoy your own horse.
Only for sale as sadly outgrown.

A loving, knowledgeable home is a must for this very sweet pony. She does have small patches of mallenders behind her knees but these do not bother her. Plenty of photos and videos on request. Will come with tack and rugs.
