EYE CATCHING DRESSAGE/WORKING HUNTER PROSPECT

EYE CATCHING DRESSAGE/WORKING HUNTER PROSPECT

Ref #: 378017
  • Achieved 1st in M&M In-Hand, Reserve Champion and went into the supreme championship at Dorset County Show main arena
  • Well established in the school, with beautiful paces
£8,000
  • Welsh Section D
  • Chestnut

  • 6 years
  • 14.3 hands
  • Achieved 1st in M&M In-Hand, Reserve Champion and went into the supreme championship at Dorset County Show main arena
  • Well established in the school, with beautiful paces

Jack is a 14’3 Welsh D 6 year old with the ‘look at me’ factor (seriously, this boy could feature in a ‘neigh’belline advert). If you don’t like being the centre of attention, Jack is not for you, as he literally gets compliments for his looks every where he goes, even out hacking.

We brought Jack 4 months ago, however Jack was misrepresented in his advertisement as a horse ready to go out and compete at 80cm. What arrived at the yard in April was a horse scared of his own shadow, unconfident, and in need of a lot of work. We have spent the past 4 months showing Jack the world, taking him out and about to flatwork and jumping clinics, introducing him to the world of competitions, and generally just settling him into normal, day to day life. When Jack arrived he was bolshy, and had no boundaries. Jack will now stand with his stable door wide open, and is much more patient in every aspect, but we do want to be completely honest about how far he has come in the past 4 months, as he is still very much learning.

Jack is a fantastic stamp of a horse. He is well established in the school, with beautiful paces. Jack was broken late, as a 5 year old, and so his canter still requires some strength work, though as you can see from the videos it is a strong eye catching gait. Jack has competed in numerous intro dressage competitions, most recently coming second, even with his jockey learning the wrong test initially (seriously, sack me). Jack has never placed below 2nd place in any of his dressage competitions, he will be a serious one to watch for the future in the right home, and regularly scores 70%+. We were told by the previous owner that Jack has competed in one Prelim, and came 2nd in a busy class.

Jack’s previous owner also stated that he achieved 1st in M&M In-Hand, Reserve Champion and went into the supreme championship at Dorset County Show main arena.

Jack is very new to jumping – but it is certainly something he enjoys. He is the type to pull you towards a fence with his ears pricked, though isn’t quite educated enough yet to always pull the perfect stride. Jack is generally quite bold, however (typical Welsh D) will get upset about something should he believe it is terrifying. He has schooled over all sorts of fillers first time with no issues, but can be prone to a spook every now and again. Height is not an issue for Jack.

Jack has been to group and solo lessons. He is not fazed by standing around and waiting, or by other horses around him.

Jack hacks out alone and in company, however when Jack came to us he was very unconfident alone, and would nap. We have put a lot of work into this, and as you can see in the videos below, Jack is now happy to hack alone, though this may take a settling period. Jack is perfect around all traffic, and frequently sees farm machinery, cars, lorries etc.

When Jack came to us, he had been mainly living out in a herd. Currently, he is on a private yard, stabled at night, and out in the day. It did take him a while to settle into being in a stable, however he is now extremely relaxed, loves a treat over the stable door, and will stand munching his hay happily whilst you take his friends out and about. Handling around the yard he is a dream, and more of a donkey then a Welsh D. His stable manners are impeccable, and he keeps a lovely clean stable.

Jack will stand for hours to be brushed and bathed and fussed with. He is great with the farrier (he is only shod on his fronts as has great feet).

At competitions, Jack can be wired. He is not the sort to stand by the box for hours while you get dressed, he does need to get straight on with his job. Jack can be bolshy out and about, and needs a firm hand to tell him no.

When Jack came to us, he would rush off a trailer, and could take a few minutes to load. We have put extensive work into this, and as you can see in the video, he now loads first time, and takes his time coming off the box. Again, this may be something to be aware of initially.

Jack is a pony with a seriously loveable personality, but he can take a moment to really trust his new mum/dad. He requires an experienced home, one which is able to continue putting more work into him, and equally able to tell him no when needed. He will be a seriously fun little horse in the future.

Rare Colour, Outstanding Temperament, and Exceptional Breeding

Meet Colleen, a truly eye-catching 4-year-old purebred Connemara mare standing at 14.2hh. With her striking cremello coat, kind nature, and elegant movement, she is the definition of a rare gem. Colleen is a Class 1 inspected mare with a pedigree packed full of top performance bloodlines. She is an exciting young pony who is already proving herself as a serious all-round prospect, both beautiful and brilliant in every sense.

Colleen is as sweet and kind as she is stunning. She is very easy to handle, good to shoe, box, catch, clip, and is confident in traffic. She hacks out quietly alone or in company and is polite and uncomplicated in all settings. Her calm and willing attitude makes her a pleasure to have on the yard and a joy to ride.

A Joy to Ride – Balanced, Forward, and Talented

Colleen has been professionally and correctly started. She is working well on the flat, showing three fantastic paces with a particularly lovely uphill canter. She is a straight mover, works happily into a soft contact in a snaffle, and gives a correct and comfortable ride. She is light off the aids, forward-thinking but always sensible – an ideal ride for a confident teenager or small adult looking for a top-quality pony to produce.

She is also straightforward to jump and has started cross-country schooling, where she has shown herself to be brave, honest, and willing. She’s already proving to enjoy her jumping, and she takes everything in her stride with a steady and relaxed approach.

Top Pedigree – Built for Performance and Breeding

Colleen’s pedigree speaks volumes. Her sire is the highly regarded Lissroe Charlie, a Class 1 stallion known for his athleticism, excellent temperament, and top-quality offspring. Her dam is by Woodfield Sammy, another performance-bred stallion, and out of a mare by the legendary Westside Mirah, one of the most influential sires in Connemara performance breeding. This combination gives Colleen everything she needs to excel in sport – be it dressage, working hunter, showjumping, or Pony Club.

She passed her Class 1 inspection with top results, making her not only a promising riding pony but also an exciting future broodmare prospect, particularly with her rare cremello colouring and exceptional type.

Beautiful mover & has scope to burn. Gives you a fantastic ride both into a fence & on the flat. She thoroughly loves her job.

She has been very well started, sympathetically and slowly educated, not rushed or overdone and has had the benefit of being taken out to several venues. Good to load, travel & easy to handle.

She is an easy mare to deal with on a daily basis, not mareish. Lovely temperament & has a gorgeous character.

Would suit an ambitious jockey wanting to go to the top but equally would settle within a family wanting an allrounder.

Up to date with farrier, vaccinations, teeth & worming.

Poppy has it ALL!!! The looks, the breeding, the temperament, the talent!! Absolutely stunning full up 14.2, 5yo bay mare with exceptional breeding. Poppy is a classy ISH by the very successful Imperial Heights (Master Imp).

We honestly think a lot of this little mare, showing exceptional technique and scope over a fence. She’s brave, bold and very careful. Poppy loves her jumping and would make an ambitious child’s dreams come true. In the right hands she will be a top class BS pony. She pops round 1-110cm at home like it’s nothing.

While Poppy has been with us she has competed in UA SJing, been to several arena hires, XC schooling, PC rallies, clinics, and lots of hacking. She’s regularly ridden by a 12yo girl.

Even though Poppy has loads of talent she is also very easy and would equally make a lovely Allrounder, PC pony or a best friend for anyone. She would be suitable for a child or a small adult.

At home Poppy is a pleasure to have around, she’s completely vice free, hacks alone and in company, 100% to shoes, box, clip and catch. Never gets hot, spooky or silly. Always in a snaffle.

Excellent viewing facilities in Worcester.

Beautiful Chaps registered 135cm 6yro Gelding, top class WHP prospect.

This unusually marked, striking gelding has an extremely kind nature and willingness to work & learn. An expressive big loose straight moving pony, a lovely length of rein, substance without losing quality, and a very kind eye.

Rides very mannerly on the flat, he is very polite to a fence and hacks out alone & in company and has proved very solid in a variety of busy traffic. He's seen lots of the world on fun rides and clinics and doesn't get hot or silly.

He has recently started his jumping under saddle and he has had the most willing attitude, proving how much he would excel nursery stakes or as 133 WHP, he's jumped round coloured fences, been xc schooling and jumped around a Workers course. He improves vastly on each and every outing and would be easily produced by a capable ambitious child. Beyond the show circuit, a lovely alround pony, dressage & hunter... he could do it all.

Snaffle mouthed in all environments, with a lovely way of going. For a young pony at the beginning of his career he shows the right level headed nature to go on to do very exciting things with a small adult/ teen or an ambitious child with guidance to continue his education.

Beautiful natured to deal with, no stable vices he's very easy to have around.

Vaccinations up to date.

He is a home bred that combines top dressage and showing breeding.

Well handled, feet, worming and vaccinations all up to date. Absolutely wonderful kind nature.

Nico moves beautifully and really has the wow factor.

A serious FEI pony for the future!

Nico is a homebred and for sale due to breeder’s ill health.

Celton Cordelia 2020 12.2/13hh black pure bred Welsh B mare out of the incredible stallion Celton Tarian who was successful in showing and is currently in Sweden doing high level dressage!

Coco was backed over winter and was turned away, she is now back in work and is hacking out, walking, trotting, and cantering under saddle. She can be sharp as she is still quite green but doesn’t have a bad bone in her body. Quick learner and takes everything in her stride.

She has been to a couple of Inhand shows and handles the atmosphere very well, never being out of top placings.

She is ready for someone to put their stamp on. She would make an excellent show pony is HOYS potential, she could easily follow in her dads footsteps and do some great dressage but she could also equally make a great showjumper as she was careful and had plenty of scope when she was loose jumped.

No vices, good for farrier, teeth, load, easy to handle on the ground. Open to Vettings and she can be seen in Linlithgow

*No ridden viewings available, but can be seen being ridden at home by our home rider. *

She can come will a full wardrobe at an extra expense.

Hamish is a quality Connemara with a fantastic temperament and plenty of potential.

He’s competed successfully in unaffiliated dressage and show jumping, and would also shine in the HOYS level show ring or Working Hunter classes.

A lovely mover with a great attitude, Hamish is ready to go on in any direction—perfect for a competitive rider or someone looking for a fun, trainable pony.
