Qualified for Stars Champion of Champions 2023, Equifest, British Elite and had too many supreme championships to mention.George is a very talented pony.
He is not however a first pony or suitable for a novice or nervous rider. We have only had George since December and have learnt very quickly that we have a far too advanced pony for us.
George has concentrated previously on his showing career and according to his previous owner been very well behaved and excelled at all pony club and regional activities. He has stayed away at many residential events and performed well. He has beautiful paces and exceptional on the flat, goes well for any confident level rider, he even does flying changes! He loves his showing and knows the job inside and out. He will also do a fantastic dressage test.
He is nicely forwards, doesn’t rush in his trot paces but definitely more go than woah. He is strong on some canters and can drop his head and pull forward and be hard to pull back for a younger or inexperienced rider. He doesn’t do this every time but has taken off with a rider who is a novice and taken time to pull back. He is only ridden in a wilkie bit so a stronger bit maybe an option for his next rider. He leads well off the lead rope and loads well onto trailers and lorries.
He has a beautiful jump, and although he hasn’t done a huge amount of jumping he is currently easily popping over 90cm jumps. He would be superb in competitions and would develop well with a competitive rider, he could also make a fabulous racing pony as speed is definitely his thing.
On the ground he is not a cuddly unicorn type pony. He stands well with a haynet but without he is easy distracted eats his lead rope and a bit rude with personal space. To my knowledge he has never bitten or kicked out and we have never seen any of this behaviour at all and is easy to do his feet and good to clip. He is more lets get on with the job as he loves being in the arena working rather than a pamper pony.
He can live in or out and mixes well with mares and geldings. He currently is out in the day and in at night.
He is fully vaccinated and bare foot. He has a 5 stage vetting in December which is fully available to view. George will be sold as seen with no refund option available as we have no jockey for him. Please only contact me if you have a confident experience child, teen or young adult as he is a special pony and needs the right home.
If you dream of success and want an advanced rosette winning pony then George is the pony for you!
