14hh 4yo performance Connemara mare.

She’s been carefully and correctly backed and showing tremendous promise. Walking and trotting in the school and has done lots and lots of hacking on roads and on the forest. Good in traffic, including big noisy tractors. She’s great on the forest, will trot over little logs, go up and down banks and through water.

She has been to several inhand shows, always in the ribbons (including a 1st at the area breed show) and happily comfortable with the show ground atmosphere. She is coming on well in the school and been to clinics and her first dressage competition. Due to pregnancy and not having a rider for her, her education has stalled so looking for a kind experienced new home for her to carry on the good start she has had and realise her potential.

She is a super pony, correct paces, very athletic and very impressive loose jumping (not jumped under saddle yet). She’s intelligent and quick to learn, loves to please.

Absolutely no vices, never shown any bad behaviours, never been lame or ill, no lumps or sarcoids. She is brilliant to bath, load, clip, catch, farrier. Well mannered and a pleasure to have on the yard, lives in or out, happy to be left on her own in the field, will stand on the lorry at show all day.

She really is a super pony and will go far with a confident and experienced person to finish her education and realise her talent.

Please note because of her age and stage of her education I will not take enquiries from first time horse owners or novices.

Ozzy Lifestyle - 146cms, 14yrs, Connemara, Gelding

Ozzy is our absolute Golden Boy and it really breaks our hearts to do this but, unfortunately, such is life and his jockey has grown too much to get the best out of him.

ALWAYS tries his absolute heart out! The straightest, easiest, loving pony you’ll come across.

Brought current jockey from 90cms to jumping clear round a Newcomers Second Round in less than a year is just incredible and testament to the pony he is.

Loves his job so wants to continue.

Works well on the flat in all three paces with established changes.

South Wales with decent trial facilities.

Home VERY important.

Serious enquiries only please, as we need to replace him.

  • Reluctant sale as no jockey and is being wasted and becoming very bored. Loves his work
  • requires experienced and loving home

Very sad and reluctant sale of our handsome Connemara pony Joey. We have owned him since February 2020 and he had done nothing but hacking and the lady who owned him was quite nervous and so he had done very little. Joey is 100% in all respects catch, box (box or trailer), farrier, vet, sheath cleaner, dentist and is a dream to clip he practically falls asleep ! and has no vices.

Has been competed mainly in showing and dressage classes and he excels in these, he has done well in riding club pony, WHP and loves a day at Somerford Park over the natural fences and through the water. Could make a great event pony.

His education was a bit hit and miss due to covid 19 , then owners medical problems, and my granddaughter who is the jockey going off to Reaseheath college for a 2 year course. Joey did go to college at first but he hated it so we brought him home and he now only gets ridden at the weekends if the weather permits !

We as a family feel it is unfair to keep Joey as he is wasted and would make someone very happy as he loves to please and has a lot to give and he will go much further in the right hands , it goes without saying it is a heartbreaking sale for us & will be sadly missed.

Whilst Joey has a good pop in him he has had limited exposure to showjumping as it was not my granddaughters preference she preferred showing. But as you will see from the photos he shows a great deal of promise. With that said with the right jockey i am sure he can go far.
Joey is realistically priced to sell and quality tack and a full wardrobe can be negotiated at extra cost.

Has had HWSD genetic testing - so no worries there

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO READERS OF THIS ADD - I must ask for no time wasters PLEASE !

Absolutely No novices , no joy riders or hoof kickers - Joey is far to good and will only be sold to a kind and knowledgeable and experienced home , as this is what he truly deserves and is used to.

Thank you for looking an he is very reasonably priced so as not to allow him to go to waste.

  • Untapped Junior & WHP potential
Freddie is a truly exceptional Connemara gelding who combines fantastic conformation, presence, and movement with a kind and genuine temperament. At just 8 years old, he has already shown himself on some of the biggest stages, yet still offers so much untapped potential for the future.

He is a pony who gives his all under saddle, with the ability to turn heads in the ring and the temperament to enjoy at home. Freddie has the quality and trainability to go all the way in both Junior and WH classes, and we believe he would make a real star for a competitive home wanting to showcase him further.

• Qualified for HOYS 2024
• Lightly competed this year through no fault of his own (simply due to other commitments)
• Still has plenty of scope and ability to develop further, making him an exciting prospect for the coming seasons

Freddie is straightforward and enjoyable. He is fantastic to ride, schooling beautifully on the flat with three correct, balanced paces. He loves to hack out both alone and in company, and is a pleasure to take anywhere.

He is good to catch, load, travel, with the farrier, and to handle in every way on a day-to-day basis. He has excellent stable manners and is easy to do in all respects, making him a joy to have on the yard.

• Holds a life height certificate
• Graded Class 1
• N/N hoof wall, giving peace of mind for the future
• Sound, correct, and ready to continue his career

Freddie is not just a show pony – he is the full package. He has the looks, the presence, the movement, and the brain. With the right rider, he could continue to excel in the show ring, whether in Junior or WH classes, but he also offers the versatility to be enjoyed outside of competition.

This is a pony with the potential to be someone’s heart horse. He has already proven himself at the top, yet still has so much to give.

Serious enquiries only – Freddie is a very special pony and we are committed to finding him the very best home possible.

15.1, 8yo snaffle mouthed Connemara gelding.
Won his first GO BE80 and successfully competed at unaffiliated 90s with scope to go on making him the perfect grassroots contender.

He is a gentleman out hacking alone and in company, good with farm machinery.

He has no vices, no lumps or bumps. He is great to have on the yard, good to shoe, box, catch, clip. Easy to handle away from home on your own.

I would love Fin to find a competitive home as he has so much to offer, he appreciates a quiet rider with soft hands so please no complete novices. He would benefit from a winter of schooling. He will be a lot of fun for a kind rider.

Cloudy (Jingle Bell) 14.1 (small 14.1 and slight) Connemara mare, Fleabitten Grey, 13 yo, by ‘I love You Melody’.

£10k including new tack and PE rugs. Taunton, Somerset.

Cloudy is a wonderful pony seeking a confident little rider. Done all PC and NSEA activities up to 80cm and hunted in previous home. Done 2 x PC camps at Pontispool and loved them. Excellent breeding with her sire being ‘I Love You Melody’. All previous homes known and would all like to keep in touch - Cloudy is a very special pony and parting with her will be heartbreaking.

- Shod on fronts, good for farrier
- Up to date with teeth, jabs, dentist, physio etc
- Good to clip
- SJ 60-80cm
- XC, schooling and has done HT and ODEs
- Schooled SJ and XC up to 90cm
- Regularly competed PC, NSEA, unaff
- Hacks well (have led off her also)
- Ridden in gag for jumping as can get fast
- Attended PC camps with previous owner and twice with us - Cloudy is in her element!
- Lived out in previous two homes, can be stabled with company
- Turns out with mares and geldings
- Recently got new saddle due to muscling up and changing shape
- Does have melanoma under dock but this has been unchanged for 5 years, was thoroughly checked at 5* vetting in Oct 24 (monthly photos available) (price reflects melanoma)

Competing SJ 60-80cm (90cm untested) - fast and turns on a sixpence but takes confidence from her rider. She’s great at SJ and has picked up many rosettes, with some notable successes:

- BS Just For Schools Individual Qualifications for Stoneleigh Champs in both 60cm (1st) and 70cm (3rd)
- NSEA Individual and Team Qualification for NSEA Champs at Addington in Oct 25. 60cm warmup (1st) and 70/75cm (Indiv 3rd team 1st)
- PC Regional Champs 70cm SJ Individual and Team qualification for the 70/75cm
- PC Mini Champs - multiple individual qualifications in the 60cm
- PC Area 15 SJ 70cm championship individual and team qualifications

XC - sadly not done as much as we wanted due to the awful ground this year. Cloudy loves it, but needs confidence from her rider if not riding in company.

Dressage isn’t her discipline of choice (would rather jump), but she has lovely paces - just needs some dedicated hard work to bring out her best.

Included in purchase price:
- New Cavaletti saddle cost £1070
- EvoEquine custom fit bridle, reins and martingale (new Dec 24)
- 2 Neue Schule bits
- 0g, 100g, 200g, 300g PE turnout rugs
- PE cooler and fly rug
- Travel boots
- Back hoof boots for hacking on stony ground

Home and fit is so important to us. Cloudy is cracking but she is not a First Ridden or First Pony. She’s a sports pony and needs a confident capable rider and an experienced home. Does need a companion at home and can get anxious, though happy to go away from home solo.

References: my daughter’s instructor who has taught her weekly and knows Cloudy very well is happy to talk to potential buyers and to provide a lesson during trial (at cost). Camp instructor also happy to give a reference.

Trial facilities. We do not have an arena, only hacking. We are happy to bring Cloudy to KSEC, Pontispool or our instructor’s yard for arena hires.

  • Fantastic to do in all ways

  • Produced to a super level, just completed his first prelim scoring 68.2%
Danny is a full up 14.3hh 4 year old registered connemara gelding.
Traditional in his breeding, he has very corrected confirmation, stunning build and movement.

Temperament, Danny is an absolute delight. He loves a fuss, he is friendly, inquisitive and kind. He is easy going, happy to stand with no head collar to be hosed down, he isn’t worried about sprays, he is a old head on young shoulders. He will stand perfectly to mount from the floor or mounting block. He is also a horse that is confident in new environments, he is as confident at local venues as he is at home, in solo or group environments making him a really reliable chap for any one wanting to go out alone with their horse to lessons and or riding club activities or events. He loads, travels and settles at the destination superbly.
He is not worried about horses moving around on the yard and mixes really well. Great to handle in all ways.

Ridden, Danny has been produced to a brilliant standard for his age. He has shown his ability and can now continue to grow up as youngsters should by continuing at a nice gradual pace.
As far as what he would be suited to is….hacking, riding club, pony club, low level eventing, dressage, hunting, showing…really he is suited to any discipline.
He has 3 beautiful balanced paces in the arena, and is super to ride in open spaces aswell. Being around other horses is no issue.
He is happy to stand not fidgeting while you chat to sort some thing mid session, he has a really super mind and nature. He has just competed in dressage at prelim 1 scoring 68.2% on his first outing and couldn’t have been better behaved in all aspects of the outing. He has attended many arena hires and riding to music lessons, xc hire etc.

Hacking he is super, been brilliant with the traffic we have seen. Hacks alone and in company. Will stand like a rock in the road if you need to get off for any reason and to get back on.

Jumping. Danny has jumped poles and xc fences showing super ability. Not something we are doing much of due to age but we have the videos to show he has.

He is good to do in always, list them off…
Catch, shoe, groom, bath, tack up, untack, stable, turn out, muck out around, load, travel, mount, dismount, tie up, pick feet, spray with fly spray, rug, lead and any thing else i could thing of.

Danny being 4 wouldn’t be suited to a novice as there will be the odd green moment over the next few years where he will still need direction and a hand hold but that aside he would suit most people. He is uncomplicated and real treasure, looks, temperament and ability everyone wants.

Updated videos are posted on cox equestrian services Facebook page.

Open to vets and trainers. Based in north wales.

14.2hh 18 years young purebred Connemara Schoolmistress pony with excellent bloodlines

Missy is the ultimate competition and hunting pony She is extremely experienced has a heart of gold and is very fun.

Absolutely loves to jump and always looks after her passenger. Never stops or refuses and is a pleasure to take out to shows and events, she is forward going and a rossette winner and therefore isn’t suited to a very nervous or novice rider because she knows her job and loves to win. She will turn on a sixpence. Although she has no BS points, she would be a super competitive BS pony .

She rides in a snaffle or bubble bit in all spheres including when out hunting where she has been a regular member of the Killinick Harriers hunt and the pony club.

She has done all pony club activities, eventing and Hunter trials aswell as showjumping teams at 80cm- 1m. She is also an asset to the inter school teams.

She is well behaved in open spaces and very good in traffic, around other animals and farm machinery.

She is the ultimate competition/ hunting pony and pony club pony . She will also ride and lead. Although she is forward to jump etc, my grandmother could take her hacking, she is a completely different pony. Happy to plod along on the buckle and completely unfazed by all spooky obstacles.

Missy rides well in the school with athletic paces and good balance but is not a dressage.

Rocky is a 6 year old full Connemara. He was professionally broken 2 years ago and has been brought on consistently but not rushed.

Rocky has the sweetest nature, he always wants to please and loves his work.

He has wonderful manners both on the ground and in the saddle.

Rocky is forward going but not the fizzy type, Snaffled mouth

Rocky has done a lot of hacking and happily hacks out alone and in company, often leading the ride in heavy traffic.

Rocky is working nicely on the flat and has attended SJ arena hires, XC school (drops, water), beach rides and came home with a 2nd place at a dressage competition.

Good to shoe, box, clip, load etc.

Rocky does windsuck but this is in the stable only and never cribs/ weaves.

Rocky is a cracking youngster who would suit a competitive teenager/adult to produce further;

Rocky will turn his hoof to anything and I am sure he will excel in all disciplines.

I want to find him the right home and see him go on and do what he loves.

Dixie is a lovely 7yo 148 class 1 Connemara who has jumped up to 120. With only starting her sj career this year she has went from jumping 90s to 120s in the space of a few months. There was a lot of things asked from her and she stepped up to all of them, she measures 147 without shoes so will easily FEI.

She is very easy to manage and has the kindest nature. Dixie does wind-suck but can be managed, she also is fully barefoot and has never had shoes in her life!

She has also done many WHP outings and xc.

She will make a top track showjumping or event pony while also having the showing and working hunter route aswell. Dixie also rides beautifully on the flat
