Samson ⭐️

The Apple of my eye my little Sammy starfish! I bought Sampson as a 2yo, and have had the privilege of producing him. He has been the most wonderful little horse and a total pleasure to do in all ways. He is a much sought after cross Connemara x draught, he combines native hardiness with athleticism and a cheeky but very level headed.

Sammy is good to hack, alone or in company. He never naps. He is good in all traffic/bikes/farm machinery. He is super to ride in open spaces and big grassy fields. He has been on a couple of steady fun rides and was very good and not phased by anything.

He is working well in the school for his age. He works in a soft outline and is very balanced. He has a lovely mouth and is really working well in the contact. He canters on the correct lead and has a basic understanding of lateral work. He has attended a couple of prelim dressage tests and has always done a sweet test and been in the ribbons! He is not bothered by the boards and isn’t spooky in the arena.

He has been to the beach and was perfect in a snaffle and not strong cantering with others.

Samson is showing lots of promise over a Showjump. He has been to some arena hires and a couple of unaffiliated shows. He has never stopped at anything and is super willing and careful. He is an easy horse to ride to a fence as he is always looking ahead to the next job! He has a lovely even canter around a course, and I can’t wait to see what this little chap does in the future.

Sampson is wonderful xc, he is very brave with water/ditches/skinnies. He has been xc schooling on an arena as well as on grass.

Sampson is a super talented jumper, he easily loose jumps 130 for fun. He is a super exciting prospect for the future for riding club / pony club/ grass roots.

He is good to do in all ways, he is good to shoe, lives in or out, good to bath, load, travel, catch. He is good with other horses. He is a plucky, jolly little horse. He has a fabulous attitude and he is super intelligent. I would like to see him in a home produced on to event as this is where I think he will shine. But similarly he will be happy being loved by someone! Open to any vetting. Please note- he dishes with both fore limbs. Is this is something that you do not want, or something that wouldn’t be acceptable for showing then he probably isn’t for you!

No novices please as he is only a 4yo and I want my special boy to find the best and most fitting home, a very hard sale.

TANDY – 13.2hh | 15yo | Mare | Connemara

Tandy is a lovely pony who has been there and done it all. She has spent the last few years in a racing environment and is completely accustomed to large volumes of horses, gallops and a busy atmosphere.

She has done show jumping, cross-country, Pony Club and racing. She hasn’t been a serious competition pony beyond local shows and Pony Club, but with some schooling I think she could make a lovely low-level jumping pony, absolutely loves jumping and rarely touches a pole!

Tandy has also been used as a lead-rein pony and isn’t offended by novice riders. She is forward-going without being out of control and absolutely loves having a varied life. She is currently ridden in a gag and would suit a child who wants to get on and go, rather than one looking for a dressage diva!

She can happily be ridden bareback, hacks alone or in company and is:

Tandy has been known to have the odd buck if she hasn’t been in much work. Her owner estimates this happens perhaps once in every 50 rides, so it is very much an occasional occurrence rather than a regular habit. For this reason, she would be best suited to a family who understands and is comfortable with this, and who will keep her in a consistent level of work to get the best out of her.

Kali, our much loved Connemara X is looking for her new home as we are moving up to horses. We have had her 4 years and in that time my daughter has competed in BS and UA competitions up to 90cm, mini ODE, pony club competitions, area 4 competitions and loves hacking out either alone or in company.

She requires a confident rider to bring out the best in her. Kali is never strong or silly and happily comes back into work after a week or two in the field and has never needed the vet apart from routine visits for vaccinations and teeth.

Castle View Lily is a beautiful 8-year-old, 14.2 , dapple grey Connemara x Irish Sports mare.

Lily is very athletic and has a great pop in her. She is happily jumping round 80/90 and has competed and won in SJ, AE and dressage. She has hunted and loves her cross country. She is a forward fun ride that would suit a light weight adult or confident teen to do all things riding club/pc. She could also excel in workers. She can be sharp at times so please no novices or young kids. Nothing bad just has a sharp brain and needs a forward riding jockey. She’s so much fun and enjoys her work.

Lily is lovely on the flat, she has three correct paces and naturally holds herself well, she is very soft in the mouth and nicely off the leg. .She has qualified for Trailblazers dressage on two occasions and placed in every test she has entered, the judges always take a liking to her.

She is snaffle mouthed always, and hacks alone or in company. She is perfect to handle and has a lovely temperament. Super easy to have on the yard, good to handle, shoe, box and catch. Good in traffic. She would thrive in a busy yard with lots going on to keep her busy and doing lots.

Rebel – 5yo Connie Cross Riding Pony

Rebel is our gorgeous 5-year-old Connemara cross riding pony, beautifully bred by Whalton Dilettante (by Kilvington Scoundrel).

He has been slowly and carefully produced over the past year and a half, with plenty of time given to grow, mature and develop at his own pace. He is a lovely, kind-natured pony with a wonderful temperament and is a real pleasure to have around.

Rebel is exceptionally sweet and easy to handle. My 14-year-old daughter regularly turns him out and brings him in, and even my novice and nervous husband is completely happy leading him. He is very sensible in the field — he is happy to be turned out first and wait for his friends, or come in last without becoming silly or stressed. He has a lovely attitude and is generally a very straightforward pony to deal with.

Rebel absolutely loves his hacking and is happy to go alone or in company. He is unfazed by traffic, tractors and the general sights and sounds of the countryside.He is polite and sensible in open fields, and will happily have a canter, come back to walk and carry on calmly. He is ridden regularly by my daughter in the menage, where he goes sweetly and willingly. I also school him, with me he is learning to work in a consistent outline and is beginning to offer some lovely lateral work.

Rebel also enjoys jumping and has been introduced to a variety of experiences, including external lessons, pole work clinics and jumping where he has behaved immaculately. He loads and travels beautifully and is exceptionally easy to handle away from home.

Rebel has a fantastic attitude to his work and is willing to learn. He is still a 5-year-old and therefore has plenty of education and mileage ahead of him, but he has been given a lovely foundation to build upon.

As a 5-year-old, I feel Rebel would be best suited to an experienced home that can continue his education and bring out his full potential. He would thrive with someone who wants a pony to enjoy a varied life, get out and about, and really develop a special bond with. He would love to be someone’s best friend and centre of attention.
