LUX

A powerful, kind-hearted gelding looking for his forever home

Lux is now looking for his forever home following his retirement from racing. He is a genuinely kind, affectionate horse with a lovely temperament and plenty of potential to enjoy a successful second career beyond the track.

Having spent the past six months relaxing, adjusting to life after racing and enjoying simply being a horse, Lux has had time to settle into his new chapter. His retraining is progressing well, and he is showing a great attitude towards his education.

A lovely temperament with plenty of personality

Lux is a pleasure to have around, with a kind nature and a willingness to learn. He has a lovely attitude to his work and is already showing encouraging progress as he develops his skills outside racing.

He is a big, powerful horse, and he can be strong at times. For this reason, he would be best suited to an experienced rider who understands Thoroughbreds and can continue his education with confidence, consistency and patience.

There is no badness in him, and with the right person to guide him, we believe Lux has plenty to offer.

Retraining and riding experience

Lux’s flatwork is progressing really well, and he hacks confidently both alone and in company.

He has also recently started his jumping education and has taken to it well, giving him another exciting avenue to explore as his training develops.

With continued schooling, Lux could make a lovely all-rounder for someone wanting to enjoy a variety of activities, including:

* Riding club activities

* Clinics and schooling sessions

* Pleasure rides and hacking

* Further jumping education

* Exploring other suitable disciplines

He is still developing in his retraining, so his next owner should be prepared to continue building on the foundations already established.

His next chapter

Lux is reported to be clean and sound, with no vices. He is a lovely, powerful ride with a great attitude and the potential to develop into a rewarding partner for the right person.

Finding Lux a knowledgeable, loving forever home is the absolute priority. We want him to continue progressing, enjoy his new career and become a much-loved member of his next family.

Viewing appointments are available any day before 11:30am, except Sundays. Rehoming unseen may be discussed for the right home.

Could Lux be your next partner?

If you’re an experienced rider looking for a kind-natured, athletic Thoroughbred with an encouraging start to his retraining and plenty of potential to explore, Lux could be well worth meeting.

He deserves a home where his education can continue and where he can enjoy a happy, rewarding life beyond racing.
