Yogi is an incredible homebred and produced five year old 148cm gelding. He qualified for the RDS Connemara Performance Hunter Class 2026 in Scarteen taking top spot from a field of 70 ponies. He jumped a beautiful clear round in the RDS over a challenging course and he soaked up the electric atmosphere with his very sensible and chilled nature.

Yogi also competed in IPS classes; placing 2nd in the Spring show over 16 Connemara Working hunter class, 4th in the over 16 Connemara ridden class. He has been produced slowly and correctly with his future in mind. He has a scopey, careful and lovely action while jumping equally matched with uphill balanced flatwork. He has already proven his talents at such a young age but he has a lot more in the tank and should make a top class eventing pony as he is a brave as a lion and has a great Connemara brain to go along with it.

He is straight and correct with all class one breeding which includes Ardravinna Andy, Castle Squire, Maamhill, Abbeyleix Owen. He has a wonderful temperament and is a delight to work with in every way. He can be put in the field for months and hop up and go. Tubby is a true yard favourite who’s been part of the family for the past 6 years. He’s a real character, racing isn’t for him anymore and is now ready for something new (ROR eligible.)

He does basic flatwork, he has three balanced flashy paces and carries himself well. He hasn’t done much flatwork previously but has taken to it very well and won’t take much work. He is naturally a real eye catcher. Light in the hand and never strong.

He has ran over both hurdles and fences in his career. He has since started jumping poles which he enjoyed. He is careful and scopey. Makes a lovely shape. If jumping is what your into he would need a confident positive rider who rides him forward. He just needs encouragement to know you’ve got him and he can do it. This has given us even more confidence in his potential as a competition horse and all-round Riding Club/Pony Club type.
