We are looking for the best of homes for our 7year old, lovely fun 13.2hh Welsh C pony Copper.

Copper is a true all round pony club type pony, he loves to jump, go cross country, show jumping, working hunters, he has regularly trail hunted, done fun rides, and can produce a dressage test;

Copper is a lovely character to have around, always got his ears forward, first to the gate to be caught, loads easily, good to shoe etc. He happily hacks out alone and in company, and living on our farm is used to all sorts of traffic and other animals. He has never bucked, reared or kicked and although a keen ride, is a gentleman under the saddle, equally happy to give a lead or follow behind if asked.

In the 21/2 years we have had him, Copper has regularly competed with my daughter in pony club, NSEA and unaffiliated SJ and HT events, qualifying for Bicton Regionals (SJ 70cm and 80cm, and eventing 70cm) NSEA Hickstead (75, 85 and 95cm) and Addinton (75cm). He is a regular in pony club going to many camps, training ralleys and stay away shows.

We are in no rush to sell him, as he is still out competing and hunting, so will be fit and ready for his next jockey.

FOR LOAN - LOOKING FOR A HACKING HOME

We are putting out feelers to find our lovely Sprinkles a new loan home. He’s extremely special to us and will only go to a 5* experienced and knowledgeable home.

He’s a 14.3hh Connemara, 15 years old and the sweetest personality, he’s fantastic to hack, being forward but polite. He loves life and going for rides. He is extremely friendly towards people and other horses. Good to shoe, clip, catch, travel etc.

He has previously evented up to BE100, dressage to elementary and schooled at medium level, showjumped to 105 and hunted. He’s always foot-perfect, and takes his rider round safely, he’s not strong and never nasty. Always snaffle-mouthed.

Unfortunately due to a previous injury, he is not up to jumping or competing any more so we are looking for a hacking only home. He is not for competitions, pony club or hunting. We are looking for someone who would like to ride a beautifully mannerered, well balanced horse a few times a week and look after him to high standards.

He is a delight in open spaces and the beach. He’d be perfect for a mum wanting to ride out with a small child. He will happily ride and lead, or be a confidence giving happy hack. He’s perfectly sound for light work but, despite returning to competitive work after his injury, he is too precious to risk pony club and competition anymore. He’s been in a perfect home for the last few years as a fun hack with a mum and her daughter, who is now off to uni so sadly they no longer have any horses.

The most important thing to us is that he’s looked after and loved. Ideally he’d stay around the Shropshire / Cheshire area so we can come and visit him!

Brodie is absolutely brilliant to hack. He will pass the heaviest of traffic on buckle end and then canter across an open field with his ears pricked forward. Happily hacking alone or in company, in-front or behind.

Brodie is great fun to jump. He takes no offence to a miss and will never hold it against you. He won’t be a world beater, but he is more than happy to not jump for 3 months and then come out and jump around sensibly. In my opinion this makes him worth his weight in gold.

Brodie has spent most of his life in Scotland being a best friend to an older lady. He is the type your grandma could hack one day and then your daughter could take Xc schooling the next day.

Good to load, travel and handle. I would happily let any child lead him around and give him lots of love.
