ALTON

16.2hh Full Irish Draught 5 years old gelding

Alton is a quality traditional Irish Draught with an amazing temperament and the most outstanding, willing attitude. He is currently taking part in hound exercise in the uk where he is proving sensible, genuine and thoroughly enjoyable.

He hunted a few days in Ireland last year before I bought him. He was quite raw when we got him, but he’s developed into a beautiful horse.

He always wants to please and approaches everything asked of him with a fantastic outlook. A lovely, straightforward horse with no problems, Alton would make a superb hunter or quality all-rounder for someone wanting a genuine horse with plenty of presence.

He boasts fantastic traditional Irish breeding. He is by King Alton, whose pedigree includes Merry Mate, Merry Gold, Shanes Pride and Kildalton Son. His dam, Jillians Lady, brings further established Irish Draught bloodlines through Shanavour Pride, Woodland Boy and Rosheen Yeats.

He is not a maid, Hunter but whoever gets him will have a Horse of a lifetime

BALLYNEETY CRAFTY SALTLAKE

The most gorgeous 16hh 7yo Traditional Irish Mare.

Straightforward to ride with three flowing and balanced paces. Good established flat work, good lateral work and has a basic change. Level to a fence, bold and brave cross country. Jumping double clear around BE90 this season with plenty of ability to step up next season. However, she has the looks to fit in and do extremely well as a worker.

Arrived straight from the breeder at the very end of her 5yo year, just broken. Since then I have slowly produced this mare and let her see the world. Has done BD and BS on a ticket and has had a full season BE, improving every time out.

Hacks alone and in company, not keen on heavy traffic. No vices. Good to do on the ground, a very sweet and quiet mare.

Would suit a competitive amateur rider. No novices, probably not for a rider getting back into riding after a few years off. She’s a super smart competition horse that I’d like to see go further with a competitive and experienced rider that wants a quality horse that can go out and win next year.

3yo buckskin gelding to mature around 15.3hh. Absolutely mega little horse bursting with personality and ability, Turtle has been a yard favourite since the day he was born. He is the coolest dude around!

Turtle is a super stamp that is well put together, straight and correct with great feet and a gorgeous head. He is solid but sporty, an all-terrain vehicle with that super important pony brain, native toughness and sport horse athleticism.

Turtle's sire is the renowned and supremely versatile Ynyslyns Orlando, the only Welsh D to be graded with the AES bringing a unique combination of native pony toughness and sports horse quality athleticism. Orlando is the ultimate allrounder producer who has himself participated in dressage, showjumping, eventing, hunting, working equitation and team chasing and who is known for passing on his user-friendly and highly trainable temperament.

Turtle's dam is an ISH mare with Clover Hill and Master Imp bloodlines. The damline has produced 4* eventer and 1.30m showjumper Master McCormack, as well as numerous successful national level amateur showjumpers and eventers. The dam herself competed to 1.10m.

Turtle is a big active mover with an eye-catching trot and an uphill canter. With the right production we think he would do a super test, especially for eventing as Turtle is a MACHINE. Although he has only loose jumped a handful of times he absolutely loves it. He is super bold with quick reflexes and will take on anything from anywhere. We think he would be incredible eventing cross country, out hunting or team chasing. Turtle likes to go fast and jump big!

Additionally Turtle is a massive personality with the most brilliant temperament. He is just hilarious and always seems to be happy and smiling. He has the most fantastic attitude to everything and is always game, he takes everything in his stride. Has seen traffic, worn tack and been sat on and takes everything on like he has done it all before. It is so important to us that Turtle goes to someone who is on his wavelength because you would have an absolute ball! Turtle has lived out in a mixed herd for most of his life and is well socialised. In winter he has been both stabled and barned and he has no vices.

Turtle really is one of a kind. Eyecatching, beautiful, user-friendly and capable of being produced on in to any sphere, whether that's BE, BS, BD, hunting, team chasing or just as much of anything and everything as you can do! Turtle is the kind of horse you'd be able to take to the beach on Monday, hunt on Wednesday, get your BE Grassroots qualification on the weekend and then set off for Pony Club/Riding Club camp the following week. A real go anywhere, do anything kind of guy who will make you smile every day and be your best mate for life.
