Great opportunity to buy a young horse with all the potential! By Dam VDL C. Sophie Z (Chellano Z Competed uo to 1.60) and competed up to 1.35 herself sired by Joe Stockades stallion Gunner who competed up to 1.60. All the breeding is there for a future superstar.

Joey is a 4yo 15.2hh homebred gelding. All history is known. He has no vices and is all round extremely easy to do in every way. Stands for the farrier, loads into a horse box or trailer and is easy to clip.

He was backed earlier this year and has taken it all in his stride. We haven’t been able to do as much with him as we would have liked purely down to family circumstances, which is also the reason for his sale.

Joey would be perfect for a petite amateur rider looking to take a level headed horse up the ranks or equally would suit a professional string. He is never spooky or silly but we do have quite high hopes for him, no novices please.

Stunning 16.2hh Grey Irish Sport Horse Mare - Top Cruising Bloodlines

A beautiful, kind and much-loved mare who catches the eye wherever she goes. Poppy has been with us since she was five, so her full history is known.

Poppy has successfully competed at many venues around the country. She is a winning machine up to 1m–1.05m, and has competed up to 1.10m. She is forward-thinking, careful and competitive over a fence, loves a jump-off and is not at all spooky.

She works nicely on the flat and has benefitted from regular dressage lessons, developing a lovely way of going. She has a fantastic work ethic and is safe and grounded without being sharp or silly.

Poppy recently failed a pre-purchase vetting, where she showed mild lameness when circled on a hard surface. Further investigation identified arthritic changes in her hocks and inflammation in her front feet.

She has since received veterinary treatment and her minor lameness has improved considerably. She remains in full work, although she may still show approximately 1/10 lameness when circled on a hard surface. She is also carrying a little more weight than ideal.

Her veterinary findings, treatment and progress will be discussed openly with serious prospective buyers.

This is a very difficult and genuine sale. Her price is substantially below what a mare of her quality, temperament and competition record would otherwise command, reflecting the findings from her recent vetting and the management she may require.

Poppy may suit an experienced, knowledgeable home looking for a safe and competitive horse and prepared to manage her appropriately.

Currently doing pure dressage and has qualified for the next Novice Regional Finals in just two outings - winning his classes. He has now achieved qualifying scores at Elementary.

Good on the road with all traffic except the heaviest and fastest lorries - alone or in company. Good to clip and with the farrier. Travels like a saint, stands in the lorry all day and doesn't fret in the lorry even if his mates are taken out. This is a really top class horse and we want the best home for him.

Her focus has been hacking, attending leisure rides, clinics and has started jumping a few fences on a surface where she is proving to be very bold to a fence. 

She is hacking sensibly and will go first or last, very sensible in open spaces for a 4yo and hacking on roads in company and solo. She has jumped a handful of xc fences and proving very straight and bold into a fence, snaffle mouthed at all times.

She has 3 naturally balanced paces and scope for eventing, hunting, dressage, working hunter or just a quality all-rounder for experienced teenager, mother daughter or competitive rider wanting to produce further.

I feel she would make a wonderful working or ladies hunter. With no white and 3 naturally balanced paces, she was destined for the show ring however does have a couple of small blemishes which I’m happy to discuss.

Fantastic temperament loves attention and always first one to walk over in the morning.

Currently living out which she loves however was happily stabling during winter evenings.

No vices, no health problems. Happily lives with mares and geldings. Only pulls faces at the other horses around feed times, she loves her humans and will respond very well to any task or training involving food rewards!
