16hh 2011 Chestnut Mare - Romanov x Quidam de Revel.
Ava is a quality, well-bred mare with plenty of ability and a fantastic attitude. She is a forward, buzzy ride who is safe and genuine making her a very fun and rewarding horse for a confident amateur/teenager/parent-child share.
I have owned Ava for the past 5 years, during which time she has given me so much joy.
She has had a quieter couple of years through no fault of her own.
I lost confidence through no fault of Ava and subsequently had a baby, so Ava was put in foal and produced a super Billy Congo foal in 2023. She was an easy foaler and proved to be an excellent mother. Following weaning, my focus shifted to 148s with my son (who has sadly now given up riding) and Ava spent time on loan in two homes before recently returning home.
I am now being realistic and feel Ava deserves a rider who can enjoy her forward nature and give her the consistency she thrives on. She loves work!
Ava hacks happily alone and in company and was regularly hacked by myself until I was 32 weeks pregnant. She has been to the beach in several occasions. She is straightforward to travel in trailer, 3.5t, and HGV.
She does require sedation for clipping; however, she is otherwise easy to manage, enjoys her comforts, and does not grow a particularly heavy coat. She has never been medicated and is up to date with all vaccinations, routine care, and management.
A genuine, talented mare with excellent breeding and a proven temperament, who wants to be someone’s number one priority
Prior to me owning her she did a small amount to cross country which she loved so there’s no reason why she wouldn’t be a super asset to someone wanting to enjoy pony/riding club
Open to offers as I have no facilities at home & with a business and family time is limited.
Could also be sold as a broodmare with NFFR on BIG STAR
