Sky Dweller was bred from our much-loved event mare line through Rainstown Sky — a phenomenal mare with a huge heart, exceptional temperament and unparalleled rideability. That combination of quality, athleticism and trainability is exactly what we hoped to preserve in this breeding.
Born in 2023, Sky Dweller is a striking chestnut gelding, expected to make approximately 16.2hh. He has athletic, expressive movement, good conformation and clean limbs, together with an exceptionally straightforward temperament. He is impeccably behaved, well handled, SHB(GB) passported, microchipped and wormed.
His pedigree combines some exceptional showjumping and eventing bloodlines.
Through Billy Congo, his pedigree carries three crosses to influential Thoroughbred stallions — Lucky Boy, Cottage Son and Furioso — alongside generations of proven international sport horses. Billy Congo, ridden by William Funnell, jumped triple clear in the London leg of the 2013 Global Champions Tour before repeating the feat in Cannes, where he finished second. He was also part of the gold medal-winning British team at the European Championships and finished his career with just under £500,000 in prize money.
On the dam side, Caliber Royale brings a pedigree steeped in eventing and performance breeding. His grandmother was the full sister to the hugely influential Cavalier Royale, while his Thoroughbred grandsire received a perfect 10 for his canter at his Holstein grading. Caliber Royale himself achieved exceptional grading scores: 9 for canter, 8 for trot, 8.5 for walk and 9.5 for jumping.
Sky Dweller has not yet been started under saddle and remains completely unspoiled. He offers someone the opportunity to build their own partnership from the beginning and produce a talented young horse in exactly the way they want.
