Rio is a striking 6-year-old gelding with the talent, temperament and versatility to shine across multiple disciplines.

Lightly competed by myself and my 14-year-old son, he has already won classes up to 1m and shows clear scope to progress further with the right rider.

Brave, honest and naturally athletic, Rio has the movement, jump and mindset to excel in eventing or show jumping, while also having the quality for dressage.

He is straightforward and rideable, but he does need a rider who will ride him forward off the leg, he is very much more kick than pull. He’s snaffle-mouthed, responsive and keen to please, making him ideal for someone wanting to gain mileage, step up the levels and add value quickly.

He hacks confidently alone or in company, is unfazed by traffic, loads easily, stands quietly at shows and is excellent with the farrier and for vaccinations etc.

What really sets Rio apart is his exceptional temperament. He’s affectionate, easy to handle and mature well beyond his years—he truly doesn’t behave like a typical young horse. Lovely natured mare for sale. Rising 6 years.

Mainly used for hacking whilst maturing and is very sensible alone or in company. Excellent in all traffic and never silly in open spaces.

Has been xc schooling and proves very willing and capable. Has hunted and enjoyed pleasure rides this season and behaved exceptionally. Never silly or strong, snaffle mouthed at all times. She has been to arena hires and local SJ events, taking it all in her stride. Currently on schooling livery to start her schooling education and coming along nicely.

She can, at times, be a little nappy when in season. Nothing a competent rider would be phased by but she can refuse to go forward, take a few steps back and then will continue as asked. Recently started a herbal supplement and it hasn't been a issue since.

Loads and travels well. Will happily stand on trailer with hay net or ties up sensibly. Easy to handle in all ways.

Selling as owner is going to university next year and wants something established due to own confidence issues.
