Guinness – 4-Year-Old Irish Draught Cross Gelding – A Showstopper with a Heart of Gold

We are proud to present Guinness, a truly exceptional 4-year-old Irish Draught Cross gelding standing at 16.1hh. Purchased directly from the breeder, Guinness is the epitome of elegance and quality, wrapped in a striking black coat that gleams with health and vitality. He is the complete package: rare in both looks and temperament, with the kind of presence that draws admiration wherever he goes.

Guinness is the definition of a gentleman. Despite his young age, he carries himself with maturity and steadiness well beyond his years. He is kind, affectionate, and easy to handle, thriving on attention and affection. Whether it’s a quiet grooming session or a cuddle in the stable, Guinness adores people and always enjoys being part of the action. His calm, sensible nature makes him a pleasure to have around, yet he is never dull—he approaches each ride with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to please. He is easy to shoe, box, catch, clip, ride and in traffic, he hacks out alone or in company.

Under saddle, Guinness is a beautifully light and expressive mover. He is naturally straight and balanced, with a rhythmic, flowing stride that makes him stand out both on the flat and over fences. He is soft in the contact, working in a snaffle at all times, and is both light and responsive to the aids. His trainability is outstanding; he learns quickly, listens intently, and never says no to a challenge.

Guinness has already started his jumping education, confidently schooling up to 90cm with scope for more. He takes everything in stride, showing bravery, carefulness, and enthusiasm—whether it’s in the arena or out on a cross-country course. His love for jumping is matched by his composure and focus, making him a joy to develop in this area.

In dressage, Guinness shows tremendous promise. His elegant, expressive movement, natural rhythm, and willing attitude make him an ideal candidate for those wanting to progress in this discipline. He has the movement and mindset to be competitive, yet is straightforward enough to suit a rider looking for an enjoyable, trainable partner for schooling and local competitions alike.

Guinness already boasts some impressive early achievements. As a three-year-old, he was shown in-hand and took Champion honors, praised for his excellent conformation and presence. He has taken part in charity rides, always behaving impeccably, and showing just how adaptable and reliable he is in different environments.

This young gelding is incredibly versatile. Whether you’re looking for a competition partner, a quiet hacking companion, or a safe and fun family horse, Guinness has the temperament and ability to fit the bill. He is suitable for a variety of riders—from a confident novice or amateur rider to someone seeking an all-rounder with talent to produce. His calm demeanor and easy nature also make him ideal as a mother-daughter share or for use in a riding school setting.

Guinness is good to shoe, box, clip, catch, and ride in traffic. He has no stable vices and is open to any vetting. Delivery to your yard within the UK is included in the price, and we offer an exchange option if for any reason you’re not satisfied.

Guinness is a rare find: a beautifully put together young horse with a golden temperament, bags of potential, and a loving heart. He is ready to begin the next chapter of his journey with someone who will bring out the best in him.

15.3hh Connie x ID type, 7 y/o, Mare.

Willow is a lovely mare with exceptional paces, she has been slowly produced with her future in mind. She has 3 correct paces with a fabulous jump. She oozes quality and potential. Ready for someone to produce further and put their own stamp on.

She has attended a handful of outings, she is admired by a lot of people.

Very straight forward to a fence and very uncomplicated. Has done a few events, recently- Placed 4th with a Double Clear finishing on her dressage of 31.7.

She can get a bit fresh but nothing nasty just an excitable small bronc so isn’t suited to a novice rider.

Willow is a dream on the ground to handle so sweet and lovely in every way.

She is good to hack alone and in company.

Would be very competitive at grassroots by the end of this season. Easily pops around a 90-1m course at home.

Based in south Devon between Exeter and Plymouth.

Tack included, brand new saddle fitted in the last 8 months.

My name is Elizabeth, I'm 36 and based in Cheshire. I used to ride regularly when I was younger so have experience owning horses but I have had a break from riding for the past 10 years. Life has now settled down so I'm looking to get back into riding and looking forward to horse ownership again.

I am looking for a horse who would be more content with a quieter lifestyle. Must enjoy being brushed and pampered. Happy to go hacking and light school work.
Not a horse who is spooky or overly forward going so for this reason I think ex race horses or pure TB's would not be suitable.
Ideally a horse who has come from a loving home. I am more than happy to stay in touch with previous owners.

16hh - 16.3hh
Age 7+
Excellent in all traffic
Must be happy to hack alone as well as company
Good to shoe/load/travel
No vices
No major health issues
Good to turn out with others
A family horse
Preferably a ID x TB, warmblood type rather than a wider horse such as a cob.
I'm 5'6, size 12 for reference.

Happy to travel to view but I do not have a trailer to collect.

Please WhatsApp me some info & pictures/videos first.
Thank you!

  • Suitable for anyone to ride, even a novice jockey.
  • Qualified for RIHS 3025 and sold with the ride!
Langaller Cambridge Don is a bright chestnut 16.1hh 6 year old gelding. Incredibly well bred Irish Draught cross Throughbred from the famous Langaller stud in Devon. Peanut also known as Perfect Peanut in the show ring is the ultimate allrounder. Shown to the highest level with too many wins to mention. But he’s not just a show horse, he’s an armchair hunter and loves his jumping.

As a three year old, he qualified for Horse of the Year Show in the Inhand Cuddy and behaved impeccably at HOYS. Since then he has been show as a lightweight hunter and Irish Draught Part bred sport horse with consistent success. He qualified for the Royal International Horse Show in both classes in 2024 and took everything in his stride at the final. He actually qualified for RI five times in 2024! He has also qualified for RIHS for 2025 and sold with the ride. A few of his successes in 2024 include:
- 1st and 2nd at the BSHA Spring Show
- 1st and Champion at Stafford County Show
- 1st, 2nd and Reserve Champion at the Royal Welsh Spring Festival
- 1st Three Counties Show
- 1st and Champion at Burwarton Show
- 1st and Reserve Champion at Tenbury Show

Peanut is fit and current competing in the start of his 2025 season, having already had a couple of wins and picking up his RIHS ticket. He has also started doing working hunter this year. He has a great jump and will jump any filler you put him at. Also done lots of showjumping, and is jumping lovely clears at around 80cm. Would go bigger in the future.

Perfect Peanut definitely lives up to his name on the hunting field. He really is your armchair hunter. Hunted two full seasons with the Wheatland hunt. Stands perfectly at the meet, mannered in the field or on his own, never pulls or hots up. Jumps all timber, ditches, hedges and anything you come across. Hunts in a snaffle. Perfect manners and really looks the part. Mainly hunted by a lady and even done abit of field mastering.

Perfect conformation and always gets compliments on how well he’s put together. Stunning floaty straight movement. A leg at each corner with plenty of bone.

The perfect allrounder who has really done it all. Done fun rides, cross country, jump clinics. Easy to do in all ways. Bombproof in the heaviest of traffic. Good to clip, shoe, catch, load, travel and wash. Rides out alone or in company. Super safe ride and quiet enough for the whole family to ride.

Up to date with vaccinations. Fully shod, fit and ready to go! Can be seen out competing at Stafford County Show. Perfect peanut really is a horse of a lifetime. Very sad sale of this much loved horse.

14.3hh traditional cob gelding

12 years old

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming, physio and farrier

Barefoot

Passported and microchipped

He is a true leg at each corner! He is great fun and very much enjoys having a job. He is very low mileage and green for his age as he was a pet and companion before coming to me.

He has been professionally broken, ridden away and produced by myself and is now ready to find his forever home. Please note: I am the rider in the photos and I am 5ft10

He has been started slowly and correctly and is a very honest and genuine horse to work with, he is great fun and I think he would very much enjoy getting out and seeing the world. He is definitely a cob that loves to have a job! He is forward thinking and responsive to ride but also has very good breaks. He is green for his age so I am looking for an experienced home to continue his education, so no novices please.

He happily lives in or out, is very well mannered and good to do.

He is working well in walk, trot and canter and over poles. He will happily pop a jump and has plenty of scope. He will make a fantastic allrounder, someone is definitely going to be very lucky to call him their new best friend! And he will be sorely missed.

He hacks alone on our gallops but has not hacked in traffic due to our location, the roads are just too dangerous to ride on. However he has seen a wide variety of large vehicles while he has been with us as we have had a lot of construction done on the yard. So he has seen all types of farm machinery and tractors, diggers, dumper trucks, rollers, cement mixer Lorrie’s, all sizes of wagons, wagons tipping loads. So providing he was introduced to traffic sensibly as you would any young/green horse, then I can’t see him being a bother.

Forever homes only please, no novices, no loans, no payment plans.

Serious enquiries only please.

I will not sell him unseen so please don’t ask. Homes will be vetted.

Based East Riding of Yorkshire

Messages preferred please as I am very busy right now, if I feel you potentially might be the right match/home for him calls can be scheduled

My lovely Cora! Cora is the sweetest little mare. She is a 5yo 15.3hh bay mare.

Cora is a little jumper out and out- she wants to be careful over a pole and she is always bold over even the spookiest fillers! She hasn’t stopped at anything and has always been super genuine and always tried her best to be careful.

Cora is good to hack, alone or in company, she is good in traffic and farm machinery. She is good to canter through the open fields and doesn’t buck.

Cora is green on the flat- she is learning to take the contact and soften but she can go against the hand slightly- she is a beautiful mover and has rhythmical paces and is obedieny to school.

Jumping in the school at home she can be a bit more keen- I ride her in a snaffle but I appreciate another rider may want more bridle!

Cora has regularly attended showjumping shows, and she has a bright future ahead of her in this area!

She is good to load, travel, shoe- I haven’t clipped her. She turns out with mares or geldings and lives in or out. She loves a bath and a pamper!

Cora is open to any vetting, she is injury/illness free. She does however crib- which is hugely reflected in a horse of her qualities price. She has no damage to her teeth and doesn’t wreck my doors/fencing.

Cora would best be suited to a small adult/older teen looking for produce a lovely horse on to jump, on a budget.

Lovely home sought after for my lovely girl!

We bought Freddie as a foal, left to mature at his own pace, he was broken in the spring of 2024 then turned away for the summer as I got married in September.
Brought back to work over the winter, he has proved to have a good attitude to work. He has a sensible head on his shoulders but he is still essentially a baby, so needs a rider who he will gain confidence from.
I never have to lunge before getting on, and has never had to have calmers or earplugs.

Freddie is a big boy, standing at approximately 15.2hh, with lovely Welsh limb and feather. He has a lovely temperament- good to clip, shoe and catch. He goes out with mares and geldings with no trouble at all.

Freddie has been to a couple of shows, both indoors and outdoors, with good success. Has seen traffic (on quiet country lanes), is used to farm machinery, been to the beach and is regularly ridden in open fields. We feel Freddie will excel in any sphere with a competent rider, he needs to see the world to unlock his full potential!

Fully vaccinated. Currently has a full set of shoes on, and is up to date with teeth and worming.

A genuine sale of a much-loved horse. I just have to be realistic that I cannot keep them all and we have young home-breds coming through.

Open to vetting.

Price just lowered to get a quick sale!

Same home since a 2 year old colt and produced extremely carefully and slowly.
Bruce is a complete gentleman who has been so easy to do in every way.

He has been purchased with the potential to become a dressage / riding club allrounder , he is only 4 years of age and still has lots of growing to do.
We have produced him very slowly and not over done any ridden work or road work he gets hacked mostly and just once a week in the arena
From a very young age he has been kind and gentle and accepting of everything you ask of him.
He lives on a busy farm and is great in the heaviest of farm traffic, cars, wagons, bikes etc, young children and various other animals.
He has been regularly foot trimmed since a 2 year old.
Bruce is good to bath/shower loves attention and being pampered as we have a solarium and done on a weekly basis ! He is also good to clip having been fully clipped out at 4 years.

Bruce is currently schooling nicely in the arena, proving to have a lovely soft mouth and responsive to the leg.
He has been to some riding club rallies and pony club rallies with my daughter who is an 8 year old novice !
Bruce does not look or spook his attitude towards life is quite remarkable for his young age he definitely has a young head on old shoulders .
He has hacks out alone in heavy traffic and in company.
And used to riding in huge arable open fields.
He has been in the trailer most weeks for hacks and to the beach and to riding club / pony club rallies he behaves impeccably.

He would suit someone looking for their forever horse who wants to nurture this future superstar. Due to his age he would suit a more competent rider but no reason why a novice could not ride.

He is a complete pleasure to own
5 star homes need only apply.

Please note that Bruce does have a scar on his chest and he also sucks his tongue these do not affect his performance in anyway.

He stands at 14.2hh on the wither and 15hh bum high so will end up 15hh
Open to any vetting.
Please get in touch anytime for a chat or more videos thanks for reading.

Looking for a full loan 15.3hh upwards to move yards

  • Very loving home awaits

Hi,

I am looking for a full loan to move yards. We are based in East Sussex and have had horses at home for the last 17 years. I am 28 years old and have ridden for the last 20 plus years.

I sadly had to give up when I moved to London a couple of years ago. But now moving back home and looking for a horse.

I’m not fussed about age. Nothing nasty but don’t mind quirks.

Lexi has seen it all. She has done pony club camp, riding club teams, she loves cross country and pole work. She has active paces, she rides from the leg with a soft mouth. She has a good walk and could produce a lovely low level test or return to low key eventing. 80cm is where she is happy in show jumping.

This sale is reluctant but my daughter moved onto higher levels a while ago. Lex has spent the last 3 years as one of our therapy horses. She is gentle and safe around children and is the most popular horse choice to work with. However she likes to go out, and is lacking a rider here, her part loaner having moved on to Uni last year. Lexi has had a year off ridden work and has been at grass. She has been gently brought back under saddle this spring, is now hacking fit, and ready to restart schooling with a new partner.

Lexi thrives on connection. Give her the love, and she will give the world to a quiet balanced rider with soft hands. She always try’s her best and is a quick learner. She is a lovely hack, happy first or last. She hacks on her own, she may head home a little more forward but wont jig-jog. She is snaffle mouthed at all times. No vices, other than a dislike of fly sprays! No lumps or bumps. She has a few scars on her legs, but these are cosmetic.

Lex is up to date with teeth, worming etc. She is currently just shod at the front, very easy to do (clip, shoe, teeth, vet etc), travels well and happy turned out in a mixed herd. She has lived out all year round with field shelters but is equally happy in a stable at night with friends.

ROR eligible. Good, experienced home an absolute priority.

Being ex racehorse, she does not suit a hunting or group-rides home.

This super sweet chap is a beautiful model with the loveliest temperament. He is bombproof to hack, he will go alone, in company, in front or behind with no hang ups at all. We have seen motorbikes, buses, wagons, tractors, bicycles...... nothing bothers him at all.

He is very forward in the school, no badness in him just a typical jumping horse that wants to be doing his job! He does settle but it does take a while, I have videos of when you go in then when he's settled. I think he would be more suited to someone who just wants to tack up and hack out for miles with no worries.

I have mainly hunted her (5 full days last season), helped at numerous newcomers, great with children’s ponies.

I am a more ‘mature’ lady offering a long term 5* home for a safe low level all rounder who has already seen a bit of everything.

I will mostly be doing flatwork and hacking but occasionally pop a few jumps.
Would like to get back into a bit of dressage if possible.

This lovely 5-year-old full Irish Draught sire is Young Zidane. He was bred by a top showing breeder and has siblings qualifying for RIHS and HOYs. So he would certainly blend in very well on the show circuit.

Please do not be put off by his age! He really is old head on young shoulders! So much so he would suit a novice rider as-well as an older rider wanting something totally reliable. We have videos of him with a variety of riding abilities.

Barney is the ultimate all-rounder. He has done a bit of everything with the same cool attitude no matter what or where we go – out at competitions, eventing, hunting, hacking, and camps. He’s brave as a lion, honest as the day is long, and always up for an adventure.

He is a super safe, leg-on ride – the kind you can trust to look after you and just get on with the job. He is more a woah than go ride so he suits anyone from a complete novice up to someone who just wants a relaxed ride but is capable in all spheres. Hacks alone or in company, pops any fence you point him at on any stride, is completely unoffended by a miss.

Barney is very confidence giving! He’s got a beautiful natural outline and balance so would happily do some pleasing dressage tests even though going in circles he does find a bit boring but he really puts his heart into anything he does. He would suit a varied life of doing bits of everything.

He really suits and loves being out and about whether that be Hunting, XC or hacking.

Barney is a great doer, barefoot with fabulous feet, and happily doing all activities without shoes. Very Low maintenance and a total gent on the yard.

He’s the perfect partner for someone wanting fun, confidence, and versatility.

Loads of videos on request!

This boy deserves the best of best of homes he really is a real life unicorn ??
