I am an experienced BHSII who can offer a loving experienced home for life, (current horses 17, 20 & 27) lovely stables with big beds, ad-lib hay, all year poo picked level grazing, 20x60 arena & amazing hacking.

My dream horse must be drama free to hack out alone, safe in traffic & in open spaces & sensible in company (ie no bolters, rearers, buckers, spinners or spooking at every moving leaf/object).

Nice rhythm when jumping & with an honest jump. Good conformation with nice paces for dressage. No medical history as will be fully vetted & xrays. A horse who is a nice person & who loves to go out and have fun. References available.

D Brickie - He has done it all! Polocrosse, SJ, XC, BD, Le TREC, Riding Club activities, clinics, fun rides, hunting, beach rides, film, gallops, schooling. He is easy to take out and always enthusiastic and willing.

With his previous owner he used to play polocrosse for Ireland but with me, for the last six years, he has done everything else. I brought him over from Ireland in February 2020.

He has been competing at show jumping/cross country at 70/80cm, no higher due to my nervousness. Dressage to Prelim. Tried Le TREC for first time in 2025 and he took to it really easily due to his polocrosse training.

Good to travel (trailer/lorry) and always well behaved, will travel alone or with company.

Will hack out alone or in company not bothered about traffic/machinery - stabled on working arable farm. Very easy to manage will live in/out currently in paddock with mares. Perfect to shoe, clip, catch, groom, bath, vet, dentist, etc.

Whilst out of strong racing line has never raced, however can be forward and sharp. Would suit experienced, confident, light rider, (older teenager or adult), wanting to do a bit of everything and have some fun at local riding club.

Full veterinary history available for last 6 years. Genuine reason for sale. 5* home only, no timewasters as this is a hard decision for me. Private sale from current owner, homes will be vetted and references may be asked for.

Very handsome ID x Connemara gelding with plenty of presence and a lovely traditional type. A smart young horse with the potential to make a very enjoyable all-round riding horse for the right person.

Owned for the last 12 months and has done hacking, schooling, pole work and long-lining, as well as attending forest rides and a couple of clinics. He enjoys his work and responds well to calm, consistent, reward-based training. Can be strong or anxious to handle at times so neds a calm, confident handler.

He is currently out of work due to lack of time, so is offered as a project from the field.

He can be a sensitive type and requires a confident, experienced handler, particularly when anxious, so he is not suitable for novices. In the right hands and with consistent work he has plenty of potential.

He has excellent feet and is currently barefoot, happily working over stony tracks.

Didn't cope well with losing several field companions in December so living out 24/7 and happiest with plenty of turnout and equine company. Currently doing the odd ground work session but not in ridden work so will need bringing back in to work slowly.

Fred is a lovely laid back chap, looking for his new hacking home.
He is a lovely stamp of a horse, a leg in each corner. The type you sit on and never want to get off. He loves to stop and have a chat. He can have a month off and then you can get back on like he was ridden yesterday, easily picked up and put down when life gets busy, or the weather is horrid !

Fred would suit a novice rider, looking for the quieter life, He is a cob so can have his little stubborn moments, when he feels he wants a tea break, so does needs someone with legs that is happy to give him a kick occasionally, and the odd encouragement with a crop. He does like to snack on a hack if he thinks he can get away with it. So be ready to pull those reins so he doesnt get the green stuff! Once he realises he cant, he stops trying.

Fred is good in the heaviest traffic out hacking, never bothered by any other horse’s behaviour, great in open spaces,
Once settled he will hack solo. He is also happy with one other or a whole group! He will go infront , but will also very happily go behind.

Fred will happily live in or out, with mares or geldings,
He is a big soppy boy on the ground. Easy to handle, good to clip all over body and around head, although he has ticklish legs so does need low vibration clippers or a touch of tube sedation,

Fred is up to date with vaccinations. farrier, dentist and physio.

He does prefer to see company when stabled and in the field, so he wouldn’t suit a solo yard. He gets a little anxious if left alone.
Fred loves to hack and this is where his heart really lies, he loves going on a wander and would be great on pleasure rides. He will pop over a small log (50cm) he will go in the arena on the odd occasion and go over the odd pole and small jump.

Fred is an ex riding school horse, so very chilled with different riders. He is more whoa than go, but will happily go with the right persuasion.

He is not a handful but a confidence giver and a horse that needs wide horizons and that can work on different disciplines whilst greater rides are restricted. He is in fit form and has been exercised regularly. The advantage of his pace/trotting gait is that you can cover ground effortlessly with spring especially inclines.

He loves a good ride out and is a delightful, fulfilling ride as he gives such tempo and energy firmly.

He is up to date with vaccinations and dentistry and comes with dressage and GP saddle and his rugs. He is a well cared for boy seeking a home and setting that can offer more than his present one.

He would prefer company - originally as a home-reared champion he would not suit being neglected for long in terms of grazing, activity and equine companionship; although as a singleton it might work if kept well engaged.
