Buster – A True Gentle Giant
Registered Clydesdale Gelding | 17hh | 4 Years Old

Although only four years of age, Buster possesses the wisdom and steadiness of a much older horse. A fully registered bay Clydesdale gelding standing at an impressive 17hh, he is a calm, dependable presence who brings confidence to every rider he meets. His quiet temperament, impeccable manners, and forgiving nature make him an exceptional choice for novice, nervous, or mature riders looking to enjoy their equestrian pursuits at a relaxed pace.

Currently working in a riding school, Buster is regularly ridden by individuals of all abilities—from competent beginners to more advanced riders. He is incredibly steady and never reacts adversely to rider mistakes; if a rider loses balance or a stirrup, he gently returns to a walk without hesitation. Buster is best described as having “more whoa than go,” making him a safe, thoughtful, and patient partner both in and out of the arena.

While Buster is still relatively green in the school, he is eager to learn. Though new to poles and certain ridden exercises, he approaches each new task with a genuine willingness and calm disposition. He is not spooky or reactive—just still developing his understanding. As a blank canvas, he offers the perfect opportunity for a more experienced rider to guide his progress and help shape his education. With time and consistency, he shows promise in working in a soft outline, he is developing good balance, lateral movement, and responsiveness to aids. He is also willing to pop a small fence or log with quiet enthusiasm.

Buster hacks out confidently alone or in company and is entirely unfazed by the most challenging environments. He remains calm when faced with heavy traffic, including buses, tractors, lorries, and large agricultural machinery. He will wait patiently at roundabouts or traffic lights and never reacts with fear or tension. On open ground, he stays composed at all paces, whether leading, following, or riding solo. He never pulls, rushes, or attempts to overtake—even when returning home.

His exceptional manners extend to every aspect of handling. Buster is easy to catch, groom, bath, load, clip, and handle for the vet, dentist, and farrier. He currently lives barefoot but has previously been shod and is comfortable with either. He stands quietly for long periods without any restraint, happily enjoying being groomed and pampered. Children regularly lead and handle him without issue, and he will calmly stand at the mounting block until the rider is comfortably in the saddle, regardless of how long it takes.

Buster is a genuine confidence-giver who can be left unridden for weeks or even months and still be safe and consistent when brought back into work. He is incredibly low maintenance. He has never suffered from laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or lameness, and has passed all annual riding school inspections with flying colours (equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting).

He currently lives out at night in a large mixed herd and stabled during the day but is equally content stabled or turned out full time, he is happy to be stabled / turned out solo, he is not clingy at all, he absolutely loves people and attention and adores a cuddle. He is quiet, independent, and never causes trouble in the field or stable. Buster could excel at low-level competition, fun rides, beach rides, or simply continue to be a safe and enjoyable hacking partner.

This is a heartbreaking sale, as we regularly rotate our riding school horses to offer them the chance to experience one-to-one private homes. Buster is truly one in a million, and he deserves a five-star home where he can continue to be appreciated for the wonderful horse he is.

Ollie is a 15h section D cross. Beautiful looking palomino gelding.

Been in the same home since he was a foal. Started his riding education late and it has not been consistent. He started out well and came on nicely but as he's learned more he's gotten more opinionated.

He needs consistent work to bring him on to his full ability and I cannot do that for him. Not a novice ride, he's been with Sean Hardy doing some intensive training to get him working and ready to go to his next home.

He has done a novice show and did Windsor sponsored ride last year, where he behaved beautifully. Has popped a small jump but hasn't done much formal schooling, we mostly hack out.

Lives out all year. Good for the farrier and the dentist. No injuries or dental issues that are known. Will load and travel alone, although hasn't done it that often. Ollie needs someone who is willing to carry on his education and really make him shine.

Marvel is a gorgeous 16’3 13yo chestnut Dutch bred gelding. He is well trained on the flat and has competed to PSG in British dressage. He also really enjoys his jumping and makes a nice shape over a fence and isn’t phased by fillers. Marvel loves his hacking, he hacks alone and in company, is fantastic in the traffic he has seen here with us, Lorrie’s, tractors, bikes etc. He is sensible through open fields and enjoys a canter with his friends through the farm.

Marvel’s temperament is second to none. He’s kind, always happy, easy and polite on the ground. Stands beautifully for the farrier, first one up to you in the field. He’s basically an over grown Labrador. The type of home we are looking for marvel is a low level dressage home where he won’t be put under any pressure at top level. Marvel would teach someone the ropes at Novice/Elementary level. He would be a super smart hack/fun ride type of horse for an experienced person just wanting to enjoy a comfortable, light in the contact, balanced horse. Marvel would really enjoy a riding club home too, and to do a variety of things. He has so much love to give and would make someone very happy

. As marvel has been a top class dressage horse, he has a brain, and for this reason he absolutely will not be sold to a nervous/novice or inexperienced person. We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced person wanting a beautifully schooled horse that is looking to drop down from high end competition to enjoy a low level, no pressure home. Marvel does require some maintenance, full disclosure will be told to anyone genuinely interested. Very very easy to manage.
Marvel is on sales livery, he is an incredibly sound horse.

16.2 Irish Draught 7yo Mare with outstanding breeding, a truly beautiful type with the personality to match.

Margot works nicely on the flat and has three rhythmic paces, always snaffle mouthed. With a little more schooling she would produce a superb dressage test.

Jumping she is bold brave and honest, going off any stride, she will jump anything put in front of her taking care of her rider from start to finish. Margot has been cross country schooling since being with us where she really excelled herself. Was completely unfazed, jumping solid fences, ditches brushes, banks, steps and very much enjoyed the water!

She has also been out to arena hires for show jumping once again unfazed jumping fillers water trays etc. We took Margot to our local riding club sj show were she jumped a lovely round showing not only is she honest she is careful too placing 1st and qualifying for the sunshine tour.

She loves hacking and would go all day, hacks alone and in company, first or last. Good in traffic and open spaces, stays in a rhythm that the rider is comfortable with, never silly or strong.

Margot is good to do in all ways, can be shy at first but once she knows you she has the most affectionate and loving personality. Enjoys spending time with you, being groomed and fussed. A real kind level headed genuine mare that is a pleasure to own.

No vices. Good to catch, clip, box, bath, shoe etc

BEW

One of the most loving mares out there; you give her your heart, she will give you hers.

We bought her as a mother/daughter share almost 2 years and in this time she has been out on hacks alone and in company and jumped up to 90cm in the school. We haven’t had time to do much more but she could definitely do more given time. Bew was sold to us as overweight cob allrounder previously having done hunting, a little bit of showjumping and fun rides.

Bew enjoys hacking. She is great in traffic and hasn’t been phased by buses or meeting large tractors and equipment on country lanes. She will canter safely in open spaces and isn’t bothered by dogs.

Bew has had some lessons in the school which she tries hard at.

Bew has some quirks - being a bit nappy but gets over it with some reassurance, treats and pats. She responds to a strong, confident rider and would suit a parent/teen share or someone coming back into horses.

Currently is out 24/7 in a field of mares and will be in overnight for the winter.

Up to date with vaccinations, farrier and has an upcoming appointment with the dentist.

Tack included and full wardrobe available.

Very sadly up for sale to a home who will love him as we do.
He is pure quality, admired everywhere we go & has won every single show & championship we have entered.
Usually barefoot but has front shoes on through the summer. He is great to shoe, clip, bath, load & is up to date with vaccinations & dentist.

He hacks happily & is rock solid in traffic.

He is my happy hacker, but my daughter competes him & has done since she was 15yo.

He would also do a lovely dressage test & quite enjoys jumping (although we haven’t done much of this due to his size).

Kind, gentle nature & safe in all aspects. Lives in/out - as long as he has food, sleep & kisses he is happy. He can only have haylage.

NOT for novice or nervous riders. He is sensitive & not a kick along & neither will he deal with harsh hands or flailing legs. He can on occasion bubble up & tap dance if he is unsure or worried (happened only twice in the years we have owned him).

Royal Lady – A Rare Gem of a Mare, Ready to Excel in Any Sphere

Royal Lady is a strikingly beautiful 5-year-old black mare standing at 15.1hh – a true model of her type, with the kind of presence that turns heads wherever she goes. With her dainty, classically pretty head and elegant frame, she boasts three exceptional paces, all delivered with natural balance, rhythm, and grace. Her uphill canter is particularly impressive, effortlessly ground-covering and light off the leg – making her a joy to ride both on the flat and over fences.

She is an incredibly straightforward and genuine mare with a temperament that’s hard to fault. Brave as a lion and ever-willing, Royal Lady takes every new challenge in her stride. She is exceptionally honest to a fence, with a careful and scopey jump that gives you the utmost confidence every time. Whether it’s water, banks, ditches, or coffins, she tackles them all without hesitation, showing the heart and brain of a future top-class eventer.

Royal Lady has already been out and about, gaining valuable experience. She has hunted, participated in pony club lessons, and attended unaffiliated showjumping competitions with us, all of which she handled with the maturity of a much older horse. She’s easy and settled in new places, travels well, and always behaves impeccably on the ground and under saddle.

In the school, she is a pleasure to ride with a soft snaffle mouth and a kind, trainable attitude. She would suit a range of homes – from a competitive young rider or adult looking to produce her further, to a mother-daughter share or even a novice rider wanting something safe and sensible but still talented and fun. She is equally reliable out hacking alone or in company and is safe and steady in all types of traffic. She’s well used to life on a busy farm and unfazed by machinery, animals, and all the comings and goings of a working yard.

This mare is genuinely hard to come by – she’s the whole package: looks, temperament, ability, and versatility. She has no stable vices, is open to any vetting, and we offer a full exchange if you’re not happy.

The price includes delivery to your yard anywhere in the UK.

Gutted to be writing this, but I have to do right by my horse.

Milo is bred to be a top jumping horse and he has all the talent in the world.

Unfortunately somewhere down the line somebody has scared him or over jumped him.

I have tried to build his confidence up and he is happy jumping small fences with me, but that fear still remains. I do not want him to go to a home where someone will try and jump him.

He is though, fabulous to hack.

He loves exploring. He is good in traffic, open spaces and bridle ways.

He is good alone and in company and loves nosing down driveways and looking at the cows and deer. He loves attention and a fuss.

He is beautifully schooled, has elevated paces and would probably make a fabulous dressage horse, but again this would have to be the right person as the wrong type of jockey would stress him.

Good to do in all ways. Lives in or out.
Up to date with farrier, dentist, jabs and physio.

Really hard sale of a much loved horse
I just hope I can find him the home he deserves and accepts what he is happy doing

She is nicely forward off the leg, always in a snaffle without a need flash or martingale. With that said, there is nothing Maggie loves more than a jump off! She is super bold and likes to put the gas on.

She is smart and responsive enough to tackle arena eventing style questions in just a neck rope, and yet also safe enough to look after young ones around an assisted clear round. She is FUN and SAFE.

Maggie truly LOVES her work. She can work in the arena every day and never goes sour - a type hard to find! She lights up when she gets a challenge, so we think that she would really excel in a dressage home. Whilst she does enjoy her arena work, we do lots of hacking and she is happy with the variety.

Maggie’s ideal home would be somewhere with a quiet yard, good routine and lots of work. She would suit a competent, soft rider who has an equal enthusiasm for winning.

She is only for sale due to being outgrown.

She is based in England. This is a truly heartbreaking, private sale - Maggie will only go to a 10* home and we will encourage multiple viewings.
