Has some medical issues - has EMS so needs regular exercise & restricted grazing (had mild lami last year as was left on grass). Has mild sweetitch but has not rubbed out mane & tail & is easily managed by fly rug in summer. Has recently needed pads putting on as went foot sore on the hard ground. Don’t know if he will need to continue these or whether it’s a one off.

Full medical history can be disclosed and has clean x rays of feet from last year.

I’ve been as honest as I can and the above is reflected in his price.

Genuine reason for sale - he is not settling at my busy yard, we are all on different routines & we also rotate fields regularly (with lots of grass) so I am unable to restrict his grazing & it is becoming too difficult to try & manage his sugar intake.

Loads in a trailer (doesn’t like boxes - lack of experience), good for farrier, fully vaccinated.

The ideal home will be someone mostly interested in dressage, showing & low level activities on a quiet yard. I don’t think he’s going to be your next top SJ or eventer.

Im a confident rider with many many years of experience with different breed of horses. However, as I am nearing 40, i am now looking for my last horse of a life time, so looking for a nice allrounder to have fun and bring me back home safe and in one piece.

I own a small holding which consists of stables, arena and 10 acres of land.

Currently have 6 horses at home which consist of a pony for my daughter, 2 retired that have been with me for years and 3 youngsters I bred myself.

Things I am looking for in my next horse - they must be easy to do in all ways, I often will go to shows by myself or with my young daughter.

Confidence giver and forgiving in the jumping department, someone to help me out when I get it wrong - nice steady approach when jumping, don’t want something that locks on a shoots forward.

Hack out alone and in company.

Would like to start doing more dressage, so something that knows the basics.

I do enjoy the odd fun ride with a friend so would be nice if I can do this without the horse jogging the entire way or running off when another horse comes past. (Had many of these type of horses when I was younger, my body was more able back then)

No bucking, rearing - I understand it is impossible to ask for a bomb proof horse but something not too spooky.

I am actively looking and have a healthy budget for the right horse.

Height - 15.2hh to 16.3hh

Age - 7 years to 11years may go slightly older depending on how old. But don’t want to go any younger as I do what the horse to have experience.

Ideally looking to buy from a private home, someone who has had their horse for a while and knows a lot of history.

He has excellent conformation and moves straight. He has a confident 'big pony' temperament - a real character! Is never clingy or silly with others coming and going, whether at home or out. Hacks the same alone/company, is good in traffic/open spaces/with farm stock/deer/pheasant shoots/mad weather etc! Is happy turned out alone or in company.

This bold little horse has predominantly been used as a ladies hack, (hacking extensively from home, on multiple fun rides, and on countless outings from the lorry). He has only competed three times -Two clears Cotswold Cup xc at 90, (Ascot Under Wychwood/Barbury) and a lovely 28 dressage, clear SJ 90, for second place at Rectory farm combined training this spring - so is obviously still learning in this area. However he has had no issues with any fillers/water/ditches etc.

While his potential is obvious, he still has plenty to learn, and needs more time spent chilling out the jumping, as he tends towards quick and strong as he rather loves it!
