  • Pony who loves to jump!
  • Fantastic Potential
For Sale: our boy Junior, a beautiful 13h Bay Gelding.

A cheeky chap! He works in a lovely outline and would produce a brilliant test for dressage. Junior has huge, huge potential for jumping.

He’s an absolute star at home, easily clearing 70/80 courses but he is strong and fast and he would absolutely win against the clock! Unfortunately, my 9yo daughter is too nervous when out competing and in a typical Welshy style, he tends to play on this and her nerves, which has held him back from showing his skills. We have been working on this but unfortunately he loves his job and becomes a bit too much for her.

He has been to PC and has seen all mounted games equipment and wasn’t phased at all.

Junior is suitable for a real competitive rider who can bring out his best should they wish to compete - he needs a pilot instead of passenger. He is brilliant to hack, whether alone or in company, to load and clip. We are looking for a 5* loving home for this quirky boy. I have been riding him recently and I honestly wish I could have him but I’m far too big! If I was smaller, he’d be my dream pony.

He really is great with an abundance of potential and with the right rider he will go really far!

If we can find a small jockey to compete over the coming months, his price will increase. Thank you.

This pony will give someone such fun and win rosette's galore! Stunning 13hh Welsh section B chestnut Gedling.

3 well balanced paces and works beautifully on the flat. Absolutely loves to jump, will jump anything out on the XC course, water, ditches. SJ at home 70cm with lots of scope. Sam wants to please and loves his job, he is a perfect competition pony.

He would also be a great pony club pony and we have shown him locally. Fantastic to hack, traffic, open fields.

Sam would like a competent and capable jockey as he likes you to get on and do the job, he's such an athlete and will keep giving more.

He's great to clip, farrier, load etc and has a full clean bill of health.

Selling as I brought for my daughter after her lead rein pony but she's a nervous rider and would be better suited to a plod. She will ride him but he's wasted with us doing very little, I would love to see him go to a home that will embrace his talents. My friend's daughter has been riding him shown in videos and he's a total dream!

CARRICKNAGAT DUN - 133cm 11yo Gelding.

Gerry is an absolute mother’s dream to have at home on the yard and away at a show.

Gerry is the ultimate example of a competition gentleman. Gerry knows his job and does not require calmers, hours of working in or a week of drills at home.

Gerry has spent his time in previous homes contesting in ODE’s, NSEA, SJ, Dressage, Hunting and working hunter.

Gerry is currently entered for his first BE season where we see his future as a top Under 18s team pony.

Gerry’s flatwork is highly established and he is out competing at novice dressage level.

Currently jumping 90/1m WHP and Gerry will be a top 133whp for HOYS with his excellent conf and limb. A cracking uphill wag of going always gains Gerry fantastic Jump scores.

Recently stepped down for a young boy to compete in Nursery stakes.

At home Gerry carries a side saddle and would be an absolute picture out hunting.

Gerry hacks alone or in company, good to shoe , clip …

Pantyfid Cinderella - Cindy was bought from the sales summer 2023 as a project. She was 7 years old and had done nothing. She has surpassed all expectations and has been such a delight to do everything with.

We have shown Cindy on the flat and in the novice workers (currently jumping 65cm courses) and her attitude has been brilliant. She loves her work and is very bold jumping. She is not spooky and always tries her best.

She has been XC schooling and done arena eventing. She is bold to the obstacles and safe in open spaces.

Cindy has all the potential to jump the open WHP and hoys qualifiers in time and has received many compliments from judges so far. We mainly show our ponies but she would excel in any discipline.

Cindy is forward going and loves life, she's not silly or 'hot' just a typical cob mare and therefore she would suit someone who likes a forward going pony and is ambitious and wants to have fun.

While she is a typical Welsh cob in some respects she is very mild mannered on the ground and very easy to do in everyway. She is currently shod and turned out in the daytime. She is 100% to clip, shoe, load, stand on the lorry or trailer. She is not mareish and not really interested in other ponies, she happily stands on the trailer alone while we show other ponies. She's just so easy to have around.

Cindy is very good to hack alone and in company and enjoys it. I have let my novice step daughter take her out hacking and she was good as gold.

Home is number 1 priority as we adore this pony, she is only for sale due to work commitments and is only available to a long term family home. I have lots of photos and videos of her but please CALL and have a chat about her first.

Alfie needs no introduction! He is a top class section A known for his big flashy movements!

We bought Alfie for our two daughters - our eldest has enjoyed doing workers on Alfie, competing in the junior and Open sections, and has jumped a few HOYS 122 classes on him but unfortunately her legs are now longer than his!

Alfie has given our younger daughter a lot of confidence in the FR classes and also FR WHP, qualifying for London on their first attempt in first ridden m&m sports pony in a strong class of 18. He would also be a strong contender for the lead WHP classes!

Alfie will always jump a beautiful round and is very careful, he’s given our youngest enough confidence to jump and win the arena eventing at the WPCS performance show as well as winning section A workers!

Alfie still enjoys to compete in the flat classes and is fabulous in the FR and junior classes as well as the inhand gelding and young handler classes!

During the winter months with both girls have used him for some showjumping, pony club and hunting! Alfie would also do very well in the dressage arena as he’s school beautiful!

Previously Alfie done exceptionally well as a lead rein and there is no reason why he could not go back to this!

At home Alfie is handled daily by our children who do everything with him but would take the Micky given the opportunity- Therefore Alfie does need a competition home!

Alfie will continue to compete until he finds his next rider. We would be happy to keep Alfie until the end of the season or he is available now with his entries.

Stunning chestnut mare with flaxen mane and tail, eye catching walk with an outstanding trot.

Honey has a sweet, kind personality who loves to please, excellent with the farrier, good to catch, trim, bath and in everything we have done since owning her.

Slowly and correctly lightly backed over the winter months, hacking out on the lane, with very little fazing her.

Purchased as a winter project and I would not be selling other than my daughter (rider) being in a road traffic accident recently and now unable to ride for an unknown amount of time.

I feel she will she will make a top class whp or ridden pony, real look at me presence

Due to honeys age and her only being lightly backed she isn’t currently suitable for any novices or children, with our current situation she is now out of ridden work.

Unfortunately the time has come to find Cheeto a new jockey. He is an 11 year old 11.2hh chestnut gelding with no recorded breeding.

We have owned him for the past 2 and a half years and he is my youngest daughter’s pride and joy. She has done everything with him. He is a proper little all rounder from doing ODE, SJ, XC schooling, pony club camp, PC rallies, beach rides & the gallops. He is confident up to 60cm.

He is the character of the yard being a typical cheeky pony but is always handled and cared for by my daughter.

This is a very sad sale purely due to being outgrown and he is too good a pony and too young to become a field ornament. He is not a novice ride so definitely more of a second pony. He is very responsive to the leg and forward to ride. Not a kick along. He is not naughty just quite strong for a little pony and takes some getting used to.

He schools nicely in all 3 paces. He is great to hack alone and in company and is happy to lead the ride unfazed by traffic, sheep, tractors etc. He can also be easily led from another horse if needed and is not bothered by sticking to their side.

He is currently barefoot and copes fine without shoes. His perfect to load, clip, trim, bath & groom all done by my daughters.

Up to date with jabs & teeth. No vices and comes with all tack & rugs.

Genuine second pony with lots of character and lots of love to give his next little person, he has hacked alone and in company, attended pony club activities such as endurance rides and arena event training, he has been to show jumping competitions and always comes home with a rosette and he has attended various different shows and qualified for STARS two years running and he has potential to go further in what ever discipline required.

He will stand in the show ring all day long, he loves jumping but does need a confident rider to give him confidence but once this partnership is established there will be no stopping them !!!

He stands for the farrier, loads well and travels very well, he is excellent to handle on the yard and in the stable, he has never bitten or kicked, he can sometimes be a bit cheeky to catch but never nasty.

He is a second pony as he can be quite forward and does need riding but everything you would want from a second pony, that is why we bought him but sadly my daughter has outgrown him.

He would however walk on lead rein if desired.

He is always in the ribbons and a 10 star home is a must as he is extremely loved and we would love to stay in touch to follow his progress.

He is still young at 6 years old so will excel even further in the right home.

Cookie is a fun, forward going 2nd Pony.

She has attended all PC Rallies, competitions and had regular lessons with our main instructor. She is fit and ready to go, never sick or sorry. She has excellent manners and is handled by our petite 8 year old daughter who brings her in from the field, grooms her, tacks her up (standing on a box to reach!) she has even helped Clip her and bath her. She also loads her when we go out and about

She hacks alone and in company, is bombproof in heavy traffic, in fact she regularly collects her rider from school and is not fussed by school buses and busy school pick up traffic. She is ridden in open spaces over Bredon Hill and is polite and has brakes. Good to ride and lead.

We bought Cookie to allow our daughter to progress from a very steady first Pony to independently riding and jumping courses.

She has done a brilliant job and now needs to find her next jockey to make that transition from a first Pony to a sportier model! She will come with a full wardrobe and we would like to stay in touch. Lots of photos and videos on request

Superb all rounder - SJ/Dressage/PC/Showing 11.3 Welsh A rising 11 - Brynrodyn Diplomat

We have owned Dippy for almost 6 years and have had a lot of fun with him in showjumping, dressage, showing, combined training and arena eventing. He has jumped up to 70-75cm at home but mostly competes at 60cms at the shows.

He is a super and much loved pony who will be someone's best friend and has a typical Welsh character, but is loving and kind, good to catch, load, clip and bath. He turns out on his own or with others.

Dippy loves hacking out and is very good in traffic. He is ridden around the bridleways and lanes at home and has met tractors, motorbikes and lorries, but is not fazed by any of it.

Dippy is looking for an experienced home with a rider who wants to go and have fun and is a versatile pony who will turn his hoof to anything. My daughter started out on the lead rein with him, and he was her first pony off, but is probably more of a second pony, as he can be a little forward to begin with.

He is up to date with teeth, vaccinations, physio, worming and farrier.

This is an incredibly sad sale, but my daughter is just too tall for him now. We are looking for an experienced home who will love him as much as we do, but please no timewasters.

Honest advert

11.2h 19 year old gelding with low mileage. Very forward going, attractive and quality pony who was bought for my 5 (now 6 year old daughter) to follow on from a very safe first ridden type. Unfortunately as we have done more and more with him, it has become apparent that he is ‘more’ pony than my little jockey is going to be able to cope with, and he is also greener than we anticipated (despite being 19 this year!). He is a free moving and forward going pony, particularly in open spaces, he is not however, hot or fizzy.

A 16 hand horse in an 11.2 body, we have had a 10 year old boy from Pony Club riding him instead which has been a real success! He’s been to loads of Pony Club rallies and some showjumping competitions with him. It was a surprise to us how green he has been, but he HAS been very rewarding to work with, really improving with every session he has had. The showjumping that we’ve done he’s been well placed every time despite not actually really doing a jump off, because he canters smoothly around the course and he just covers the ground, he does not rush his fences. In his last outing he was 2nd and 1st in the two classes he competed in.

So, who would he suit? An experienced family looking for a quality pony for an smaller older child, 8/9/10 years old to go and have some fun on. He is good to hack both in company and on his own, and he also rides and leads really well, both from a horse and a bike!

He’s been jumping 40/50cm and has scope to go on, but he does need more outings at these lower heights to build his confidence and so he’s seen more of the world, he is still green with fillers. This rider needs to be happy for him to go forwards, and indeed be prepared to ride him forwards, and also generous with him where he still shows inexperience. He would be best suited to regular work.

I do think that he could make the most fantastic gung ho hunting pony for a gusty rider, although I don’t expect he’s done any hunting & he certainly hasn’t with us.

Although he’s busy to handle, he’s fundamentally quiet & my 6 year old can do things with him such as lead him in from the field. He doesn’t kick & the kids can play around him. He is very bonny in the field and is very sweet, sometimes cantering over to see us. We’ve done quite a bit on the lead rein with him & he hasn’t put a foot wrong, but we want a pony to ride off the lead rein.

Ifeel like I’ve said a lot of negative things about him, but he is a really smart pony. My daughter needs a different pony inbetween her first ridden and this pony so she can gain experience on & unfortunately this just isn’t him. I would be tempted to keep him, but my husband has a limited tolerance for what would be a third pony for my two small children.

Home is more important than price, homes will be vetted. It is important for me to find a good match as I really want this pony to be happy in a new home

Buttondown Uno is a 4 year old Exmoor gelding by the illustrious stallion Coedywern Nimrod out of the Dunkery Wigeon mare Buttondown May.

Uno has been with us since 6 months old, bought direct from his breeder. He was shown as youngster with much success and is now ready to start his ridden career.

He is only for sale as we have two Exmoors the same age and he is too good to waste standing in the field. He has the potential to make an exceptional Junior or Open pony but could also in time be a First Ridden or WH. He is good with the farrier and vet, comes to call from the field and is currently turned out with a mixed herd of geldings, colts and stallions.

Uno is true to type with masses of bone and presence and is an exceptionally beautiful pony inside and out. This has been a very hard decision to make and homes will be vetted.

Ponies of this quality rarely come on the market and this is reflected in his price. He was professionally broken over the winter and is now back home getting ready for the show season.

A proven winner, Wizard has qualified for the RIHS in 2023 & 2024, placing 3rd in the Juniors, and also secured a ticket to London International in 2023.

For the past year, he has been ridden by a small 9-year-old with incredible success across showing, dressage, working hunter, and hacking. He has previously excelled in performance classes and thoroughly enjoys his jumping.

Wizard is truly one in a million—an easy, straightforward pony with a heart of gold and no vices.

His tack and extensive wardrobe are available by separate negotiation.

Jebeth Flying Saucer or 'Saucer/Sausage/Saucy/Sorcerer' to his friends has been a big part of our family for the last 4 years since being bought direct from his breeder, but is now very sadly outgrown. When he arrived with us, he had never been ridden by children and had barely jumped a stick, but he has blossomed into an awesome all-round pony who has given both my daughters lots of fun.

He has taken part in so many different activities including PC Showjumping, Eventing & Dressage, Hunting, Team Chasing, Pony Racing, Fun Rides, Stay away PC Camps and Tetrathlon as well as countless rallies/lessons and miles & miles of hacking.

He has particularly excelled at Hunting, standing beautifully at meets and jumps anything you're brave enough to point him at!

He is also very well bred with three beautiful paces and we feel he has lots of untapped potential in the show ring. He was shown lightly by his producer in Heritage Flat classes, where he won, now making him eligible for Open Flat and Novice WHP.

He hacks alone and in company and is used to all farm traffic and lots of cows, living as we do on a busy dairy farm.

As much as we love him and find him easy to manage, he is a Welsh pony and has a cheeky character. He is forward going and can be strong at times, which although has taught both my girls so much, he would not be suitable for a younger, less confident jockey.

He is good to do in all ways, but we do sedate him for clipping and teeth so we just do both at the same time!

Very sad sale and 10* home required by order of his current jockey!!

Price includes full wardrobe including a lovely Monarch GFS GP saddle.

Lots more photos and videos on request.

Lawkholme Savannah

Sally is an extremely well mannered mare and is incredibly talented for her age. Although she is still a little green undersaddle, she’s never strong or silly and is always willing to learn and will turn her hoof to anything.

She had a successful 4 year old season always being at the top of the line, taking serval championships (including champion at her first worker show).

Sally is very bold to a fence and thoroughly enjoys her jumping. I feel she’d exceed all expectations in the worker circuit. If I could run another 122 next to mine I’d be buying her myself! But would equally be a great lr/fr pony with her sensible head.

She is perfect in all traffic and will hack alone or in company. Passing busy farms with cattle and livestock completely unfazed. Doesn’t get silly in open spaces.

Comes with a full wardrobe.

Excellent and up to date with the farrier, dentist, physio and vaccinations.

Never sick or sorry and has no known health issues.

Only available due to no jockey.

More than happy to keep her here on production with myself.
