A very sad sale of much loved pony.

5 yo, 11.2h Welsh A gelding (Glangarnant Calon Lan) Bought as a 4 year old as a first pony, unfortunately my daughter has grown like a weed so has very sadly outgrown him. He is a mother’s dream, safe as houses hacking/showing/jumping/travelling and perfect for someone coming off the LR into FR. I genuinely believe that the best is yet to come from this little pony.

Up to date with farrier/injections/chiro.

We love this pony a lot, so a loving home is very important. Please PM for more info
Please feel free to share away

Darcey is a very friendly cob mare, once she gets to know you she’ll be your best friend, she loves a good fuss and is always coming up to me in the field and when being caught, good for farrier, and loading.

said to have been driven in the past but we have not tried this ourselves otherwise she is a good little riding pony.

She is a project for someone to bring on a bit more with her jumping and fitness but this little mare has the right brain and attitude to continue her education. She would be suitable for a confident adult or child as she can be bolshy in new places on the ground, more of this can be discussed with potential interests, since being with me she’s come on a long way with her manners.

We’ve found out from a previous delear she was with, she was a great pony. We found her to be good in mixed herd or separate turnout.

Shes had no health issues whilst with me, apart from a reaction to fly bites, where she came out in a few hives, went away after we had a fly rug put on her and hasn’t returned since.

She’s your typical cob always on the lookout for a snack or some attention.

She has been to cross country and jumped everything with no problems. She can come on a long way to be a good pony club or mother daughter share with the right people.

Priced too sell, tack can be discussed.

Chance is a lovely child’s pony, my daughter has come of the lead rein and learnt to canter with her. She is an old head on young shoulders. She can be handled led tacked up and groomed by children.

Her only floor is she can be a pickle to load, so adult supervision is needed. Great with the farrier, vet to catch and amazing to clip.

Chance has done it all since being with us, my daughter loves pony club. rally’s, group lessons, show jumping, dressage, mounted games, camp she’s been amazing at it all.

Recently we’ve competed in showing classes which she has excelled in, she’s taught my daughter ring craft and hasn’t put a foot wrong. She has been placed in the top 3 in first ridden every time out and has always been highly placed in hand also.

This is where her strength is I feel a showing dressage home would really suit her.she show jumps well but is a novice and gets her confidence from her rider.

She hacks out alone or in company and is good in traffic and in open spaces. We are based on a working farm so heavy machinery cows sheep dogs goats do not phase her. I have lots of pictures and videos so please message me for more info.

We are based Tunbridge Wells.

  • Brilliant out hacking

We have had tommy for 3 years since my daughter was 6 and he has taught her lots in the time we have had him, My daughter is now 9 and sadly ready for the next stage pony and Tommy is more suited to a first ridden/ lead rein which leads to this heartbreaking sale

Tommy is brilliant out hacking and on the roads, Alone or in company, He has always looked after my daughter, He can be lead off of another horse too

He steps up or down depending on the rider / can be more of a kick along for a smaller child or more forward for a bigger child/ teenager

Will happily pop a jump and has jumped up to about 60cm with an older child whilst with us and pops a small jump for my daughter nicely

He has done a bit of everything with us and been to plenty of shows, doing jumping and showing both on and off the lead rein.

He is really good to lunge / free lunge and long reining

Tommy loads well and travels good

Can be ticklish to be clipped/  he prefers smaller clippers with less vibration so we have been using the liveryman harmony which work well for him / we have never clipped his feathers off or done a full head clip so not sure what he would be like with these

he is good for the Farrier and is barefoot

he is up to date with dentist/ farrier/ physio/ worming

Tommy will only go to an experienced and knowledgeable 5 star home

Tack and rugs can come with him at an extra cost to be negotiated

Endless pictures and videos which can be sent upon request

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

**Experience:**

Pony Parties: Dolly has delighted many children at pony parties with her calm and friendly demeanor.

Pony Events: She has been a reliable participant in various pony events.

Family Pony: Dolly has been a cherished member of our family, bringing joy and smiles to everyone she meets.

Additional Information:

Off the Lead Rein: Dolly can go off the lead rein. She is safe with no nap, rear, or buck.

Harlow is the gold dust type hard to find my daughter is ready for a bigger pony and the next step up.

Harlow has given my daughter so much confidence on the flat, jumping and hacking she really is a lovely little pony a total pleasure have.

She will teach to ride for many years and make a super pc type.

  • Moves beautifully and would excel if prepared for a show home
  • Extremely talented if has a strong rider

This pony can sort of do it all - so depending on what you are looking for he may be just what you need.

Stable name: Prince
Passport name: Chanwin Celtic Garland
Sire: Millcroft Beluga (by Millcroft / Royal Lustre x Thornwood Royalist)
Dam: Hilin Garland (by top sire Hilin Carnedd, a Royal Welsh champion and WPCS sire-ratings winner)

Very quiet and needs lots of kicking so either suited to a lead rein OR a stronger more competitive rider as he has the ability but you have to MAKE him work.

Very safe and reliable, does not buck or rear. Happily wobbles about in trot round the fields, out hacking all day long - if out in open space could race another pony in canter.

Very slow and steady in the arena - great to teach someone to canter on, goes like a rocking horse.

Lovely jump and lots of ability. Current owner tried to take BS and whilst he has all the ability she doesn't have the strength to get results.

Would do a fabulous dressage test for a stronger rider & I believe he would be excellent for a showing home.

If you're little and you don't want to kick he's not for you! If you're a light adult and want a flashy pony I find him very easy but you need to ride effectively and not bang and kick about to bring out his best.

Based at Queenz Equestrian. Was previously owned by Queenz, client purchased him and kept him at Queenz, rider now moving on to BS pony with more experience.

JoJo has taken children from lead rein to confidently cantering off the lead. She is kind, clever, and completely reliable – always adjusting to suit her rider’s age and experience. She gives little jockeys confidence without ever being boring or sharp.

JoJo's Highlights:

Lead rein & first ridden superstar
Hacks alone or in company - Seen all types of traffic, bikes, dogs, runners – nothing phases her.
Rides out with bigger horses – not phased in the slightest
Forward-going, fun, but never strong or spooky, not a plod – responsive yet safe
Loves to show – always in the ribbons
Previously competed at high level in M&M Lead Rein, including winning at Kent County and placing 1st out of 18 in the 2018 NPS M&M Lead Rein

Would do a lovely dressage test – beautifully balanced and willing

Easy to catch and tack up – even by children under 9

Turns out with mares or geldings

Can be turned away for weeks and comes back exactly the same

Travels well and stands quietly on the trailer alone

Baths, clips, loads, behaves impeccably

Fun rides, local shows – nothing phases her

Great with children on the ground and under saddle – she totally looks after them

Up to date with vaccinations and farrier

Unshod and has excellent feet

We’re looking for a new home for JoJo as our children are now keen to do more jumping, which isn’t something she enjoys. Jumping is simply not her thing, and she would suit a home looking for a safe, fun lead rein or first ridden pony without the pressure to jump.

JoJo is truly a dream pony. She will teach your children to ride and to have the confidence to go on to their next chapter. She’s gentle, safe, and full of personality – the type of pony every child deserves to start on.

A rare opportunity to buy a true child’s Schoolmistress. Worth her weight in gold. Top home is priority. No loans or trials.

Previous owners are happy to provide a reference.

Only available to a 5 Star home where she’ll be loved and appreciated like she is here.

Beautiful HOYS Quality potential First Ridden Pony
Blue Roan, Gelding, 5 years,
Green passport

Max has been slowly produced and has done countless of shows where he has behaved impeccably on the ground and ridden.
He has a lovely temperament, full of character and cheekiness, a real people’s pony, who loves to be petted and loved.
He is good in traffic, open spaces, load, feet, clip, bath etc.
No vices, health issues or laminitis's.

Has previously done XC training, beach rides and arena hires with previous owner.
He gets schooled properly once a week by a freelance rider who has chucked absolutely everything at him and has never put a foot wrong.

Max is currently qualified for Equifest 2025 for small breed M&M and Lead Rein.
Lead rein/First Ridden for ESUK.
Always winning the ribbons and luckily with a very non horsey dad that we’ve roped in, Max has carried us along in the show ring.

Unfortunately, the only reason we are selling him is because he really does not like being a lead rein pony and our little girl isn’t ready to be off lead rein just yet.
Max is not silly in anyway, he just gets nippy and leans on the leader which makes it even harder work for me as the runner!
(He does not do this at shows)

He is more than happy going around on the lunge with a little jockey on board and behaves sensibly (more whoa than go but listens to the leg and voice command)

He’s a pony that loves to get on with his job and please his little jockey.

He is up and running and ring ready!
Superb little pony ready for a confident jockey to have fun on!

Videos will be available to those who are genuinely interested.

Please NO TIMEWASTERS this is a hard decision for us as a family.. especially our 4yr old daughter and will only go to the best of homes.

Open to vetting, X-rays ect.

Tack and rugs included in the price.
Price is negotiable to the right home!!

Please text with serious enquiries (I would say call but have been inundated with scam calls)

We have had Missy for 4 years, when my little girl was 2 to learn how to ride and have fun!

Missy has done just that and more! Missy has been an excellent lead rein pony. My 2yr son also rides her (recently winning) she doesn’t mind someone walking / running by the side of her.

Missy has done pony club games, lead rein jumping, farm rides etc, she will lunge with her jockey on at a pace to suit and knows how to look after her rider. We live on a farm so is used to machinery, animals etc.

Missy will lead with another horse on the lead. Missy loves being groomed (fidgets when bathed so I just don’t let my little girl bath her)

She has been unbelievable for us and we want her to go and be enjoyed just like we have!

Will load on a trailer or lorry

Can live in or out

No loans or lwvtb

Genuine enquiries only my daughter will be extremely sad to see her go.
