Forever horse wanted

Ref #: 415398

  • Long term loving home looking !
  • Varied life

Looking for a new partner in crime!

Around the 16hh mark- if 15.3 must be long/chunky and not all wither please :) I’ve got a lot of leg!

After sadly loosing my last boy who I was so very lucky to have after he wanted a step down from the top competition life, I am on the look out for another!

Open to ideas but I love a chunky warmblood type, sports horse prefer their movement, green but honest youngster or very happy with one who needs to step down again!

Will have a happy varied life of great hacking, looking for sunrise up the mountain maybe more sort of vibes! Hopefully working towards low level BD again (over time, quietly working at home, low pressure) and RC level fun, someone to run away to camp and leave our responsibilities at home type!

And most of all to be overly loved, enjoyed in a 1:1 home and (safely) smothered by the family over the stable door (I have a young girl who’s very sad she hasn’t snuck her horse all the treats for too long!)

Will have the option to live out 24/7 with open access to stables/barn so horses that need a bit more movement are welcome!

Happy for the cheeky ADHD type, forward but I don’t have the bottle anymore for anyone without self preservation/lunatic unless ridden into the ground daily.

Always VERY happy to keep in touch with old owners, give too many updates and hopefully a very long term family home for the right beauty! Long term loan/ LWVTB/mid 4 figs

THANK YOU
(Prefer text before call as I get so many scam calls)

Stewy - 11hh Genuine First Pony

  • Safe & sensible first pony - ideal for a little jockey learning the ropes
  • Loves hacking and has hunted - an absolute pro out with the bigger ponies
  • Easy to catch, clip and load - happily stands on the trailer or wagon all day

Stewy has been absolutely fantastic for our daughter and is now looking for his next little jockey to teach the ropes. We have had him for just over a year and he's brought my daughter on from a nervous rider to a very confident rider, happy to ride bigger ponies and we now need to look for a step up from little Stewy.

He is safe and sensible. He can be ridden every day or have a few weeks off and you can get straight back on with no change in him whatsoever. He will teach your child to kick, but he does go and is perfect for building confidence without being sharp or overly forward.

Stewy loves hacking, particularly out with the bigger ponies, and is sensible and straight forward. He also did a few days hunting last season, first time we just went to the meet but the next time they were out all day! He was an absolute pro, taking everything in his stride.

he is a pleasure to have around - he's cheeky but he's great to catch, clip and load and happy to be a companion and will stand on the wagon all day. He loves attention and is a sweet little character.

This is a very genuine and reluctant sale. My daughter is now ready for something a little bigger and more forward, and unfortunately we don't have the space to keep Stewy aswell.

A lovely home is very important for this special little man.

WhatsApp or email for more photos of her and her progeny

Not covered at all this year due to genuine stud reduction and family health issues. She is a top class mare that has run with stallions and been successfully AI-ed multiple times. She has bred some lovely pure bred Welsh and partbred sports horse foals and would be a lovely quality mare for both pure bred and sports pony breeding programmes.

  • Lives out 24/7 or can part stable
  • Rewarding training project

Lad is a 6-year-old Welsh Cross gelding looking for a companion home with an experienced adopter who enjoys working with horses through positive reinforcement and confidence-building techniques. He has had a difficult start in life but is a kind, willing pony who tries his hardest and is incredibly rewarding to work with.

Lad is still building confidence with handling and can be worried about touch, so he needs a calm, patient owner who can continue his training and help him develop trust. He leads well, is generally sensible in new environments, and has been good for the vet and farrier with reassurance and positive reinforcement.

He is happy to live out 24/7 or on a part-stabled routine and enjoys having a stable. Once settled, Lad can stay alone for short periods in either the field or stable. He currently lives in a gelding herd and would love companions who enjoy play as much as he does.

Lad is looking for a knowledgeable home that will continue his education, celebrate his progress, and enjoy building a rewarding partnership with a clever and sensitive pony.

  • Lives out 24/7 or can part stable
  • Happy to live in a mixed herd

Wilma is a lovely Irish Sport Horse mare who came into Blue Cross care in July 2026 due to a change in her owner's circumstances. Since arriving, she has been settling in well and showing great progress, with her confidence growing all the time. Wilma is looking for a companion home with someone who will continue to build her trust and help her develop at her own pace. She is good to lead, enjoys being groomed and is happy to have her feet picked up. We are currently working on improving her catching and helping her become more confident in new situations.

Wilma lives out 24/7 and happily shares her space in a mixed herd. She can also part stable, provided she has equine company nearby. As she is a good doer, she does require some grazing restriction to maintain a healthy weight. Wilma would make a rewarding project companion for someone who enjoys forming a close bond with their horse and supporting them as they continue to flourish.

Fern is a stunning young mare who came into Blue Cross care from the RSPCA in July 2026 and is now searching for a loving companion home. Friendly, curious and always keen to see what is going on, Fern enjoys the company of both people and other horses and would particularly love a home where she can continue to build her confidence through activities such as in-hand walks and agility.

As a youngster, she is still learning in all areas, but she is generally good to catch and lead, and can be tied up to be groomed, which she does enjoy. Fern is currently living out 24/7 in a mare herd and settles well with equine company. She could also part stable, provided she has company. She is currently working on her foot handling, as she can be a little unbalanced at times, but she is making steady progress

With her kind nature and eagerness to learn, Fern has all the ingredients to become a much-loved companion for someone willing to continue her education and enjoy helping her develop.

Pitta is a Dartmoor Hill Pony who came into Blue Cross care in June 2026 as a transfer from World Horse Welfare. Born feral on Dartmoor, Pitta had very limited handling before arriving with us, but he has made fantastic progress and is thriving with routine, patient, confident handling. Pitta has recently been castrated, and we are now progressing with building up his confidence with the farrier. He can be rehomed either as a potential project pony for an experienced home or as a companion.

Pitta is now becoming confident to catch, enjoys leading, likes being groomed, and is steadily progressing with his leg handling and farrier preparation. He is currently living out in a gelding herd and enjoys the company of other horses.

Pitta would suit an experienced and understanding adopter who can continue his confidence-building and basic education at his pace, helping him develop into a well-handled and happy pony.

Agnes is currently living out 24/7 in a mixed herd and settles happily in this environment, although she is equally content to be stabled for short periods when needed. She enjoys the company of other horses and thrives with equine companionship, so she will need a home where she has a consistent field companion at all times. Agnes maintains her condition well on moderate grazing and does not require overly restrictive management, making her an uncomplicated and enjoyable horse to care for.
