Exceptionally trainable and workmanlike to ride, improves every single time he is sat on. He has been to two opening meets, and a third day out with bloodhounds (one with a field of 125 horses!) and provided a lovely and mannerly day and jumped a few timbers, he’s been cross country schooling and never said no and answered every question asked.

On the flat he’s been schooled a handful of times, but reflects a horse that has been worked on for years. He hacks alone and in company and is not spooky in the slightest will lead, leave the hunt field to go collect stray riders or horses, stay cool in open space and hack alone with no stress.

He loads, clips, farrier, catch, leads politely. He is an exceptional stamp of traditional cob and received a comment of “that’s a horse of the year show cob” and I don’t doubt it.

Open to any vet, excellent trial facilities, transport can be arranged.

Hickory’s Twist (aka Twisty) - A striking cob to make 13.2hh

Solid chunky build. Born 23/06/2025

This good looking colt is looking for a home at weaning. He has a good leg in each corner with a broad chest, true to type making him a dream show pony or stallion prospect

He is by our TGC stallion NBS Hickory, a 12.2 piebald who’s got traditional feather mane and tail with presence. Due to him being a rescue, he has no registered breeding.

Out of our piebald mare (who carries the red gene) who is your dream kids pony, true to type with mane, tail and feather, adding more chunk to her foal with her broadness
