A genuinely lovely young pony with a temperament rarely found. Will finish up between 13.3hh-14hh.

Beautifully marked, straight-moving and well feathered, he is CHAPS registered and fully up to date with vaccinations etc.

16 months old with plenty of upward and outward growing to do. Puzzle has been exceptionally well handled from an early age by both adults and children and is remarkably sensible for his age — a real old head on young shoulders. He is completely accustomed to a busy yard environment, farm machinery, dogs, children and the general comings and goings of everyday life.

He absolutely loves human company and will happily spend all day being groomed, fussed over and involved in whatever is going on. He is especially gentle and kind with small children and seems to instinctively understand when he needs to be careful.

He loads and travels well, is brilliant for the farrier and has an incredibly easy, unflappable outlook on life. Full of charm and charisma without being sharp or silly.

He is an extremely good doer, no allergies and vice free. Can be turned out alone or in company.

A really special young pony who will have a really lovely future in any sphere.

Due to family circumstances I am in a difficult position and need to sell my boy

A lovely traditional cob gelding who's a 2 yr old, currently standing 13.2h, will make 14.2h

Andy is a lovely boy with an old head on young shoulders.

We are working to get him used to be handled, he is halter broken and will lead. Enjoys being scratched and groomed, inculding being handled by children. Due to his age he will need further handling especially with his feet.

He hasn't shown me anything but gentle inculding with my children. He currently lives out with colts and geldings. Andy is use to dog walkers and low flying jets.

He has had the farrier out and trimmed, will be fully vaccinated. Passport and chipped. Recently wormed. He will require some restrictive grazing due to his breed.

He is a great boy, really loving and will make an awesome ridden pony when old enough

14.3 cob x Connie 5yr old.

Smurf will be sold as a project because of his age and has only been riding for 12 weeks, no fault of his own.

He was very straight forward to back and now confidently hacking out with a friend and walk, trot canter in the school. Just started working in an outline in walk and trot. He's forward and off your leg in the school and just started popping over coloured poles.

Because of his age and lack of experience he still gets his confidence from his rider, so he gets a little worried on solo hacks and traffic and can sometimes be a bit cheeky in the school. No rearing, bucking or bronking, can discuss further. I have no doubt with a few more miles on the clock he will outgrow this behaviour.

Smurf is very much a people's horse, loves attention, follows you around the field ideal for cuddles and being pampered he has alot of love to give and will go far in the right hands. No nervous or novices.

12.3hh Mini cob, 7yo.

Fun, forward second pony who thrives with work, and loves a job.

Rides and drives (but only been broken to drive the last year)

Loves having, safe in traffic, non spooky type, jumps XC fences & a small course of show jumps. He rides in the school but his schooling needs polishing.

Been to the beach, goes in the sea, lunges well and has attended ponyclub.

Up to date with all vaccines, rides barefoot, good to clip, load, travel and recently seen the dentist (wolf teeth removed)

Munchkin has been know to pop in a cheeky buck on grass with small kids, he just needs riding forward, but for this reason we’d like him to go to a knowledgeable home for a confident rider as he is a fun second pony.

Fun and forward pony, ideal for confident child and/or small adult

Ref #: 416324
  • Versatile 1.5 or 2nd pony
  • Ridden and handled by children
  • Strong and solid and really takes up the leg
£4,800
  • Cob
  • Piebald

  • 9 years
  • 12.3hh / 130cm
  • Versatile 1.5 or 2nd pony
  • Ridden and handled by children
  • Strong and solid and really takes up the leg

Hunter is a small pony with a big character. He will give his next person so much fun and affection, but he needs a confident rider/handler as he can be cheeky and strong if he thinks he can get away with it. You only need to let him know who's in charge though, and he'll do as he's asked.

He's a forward and willing pony who loves jumping and showing off his big canter. He is snaffle mouthed and has good brakes. During the last 3 years, he has been ridden by children of all abilities from 6-12 years, as part of a small riding school, including beginners on the lead and confident riders off‑lead.

My daughter (who is now 12yrs and approximately 5ft tall) has been riding him for the last year at the same yard, but having a pony of her own is proving to be too much right now. The hope was that Hunter would last her for many years to come, as he is such a versatile and solid little chap, who really takes up the leg well (I am 5'4" and ride him comfortably). So, as sad as it will be to let him go, we know that he is far too good and too much fun to be wasted!

Hunter would be ideal as a confident child's 1.5/2nd pony, all-rounder, small adult or mother-daughter share as he can turn his hoof to anything. He loves jumping, games, schooling, hacking, fancy dress and generally just having fun. He is great at join-up and will happily follow you around the arena over poles and around obstacles.

We have hacked him out in company (which he is more used to) and solo (with daughter riding and me walking), all of which he has taken in his stride. Great in traffic - we hack on fairly narrow country lanes with plenty of farm traffic, tractors, tankers, cars and he has always been very sensible.

This spring/summer we have taken him out to some local shows and in-hand classes with my daughter, where they placed every time with some really lovely feedback from the judges. One judge suggested he might make a good driving pony, though this isn't something we've tried. Given that showing was a new experience for him and us, he settled into the busy atmosphere quickly and behaved really well both in and out of the ring.

Hunter is easy to handle on the ground, though he might try and pull a small child to the best grass or haylage! He is patient when tied up, loves being groomed, bathed and clipped. He's great to catch, he'll come to see you in the paddock for scratches or just to investigate the wheelbarrow. He lives for scratches and really shows his appreciation! He is very friendly with both humans and horses and loves a fuss. Nobody can resist tickling his moustache over the stable door - he's a true yard favourite.

Hunter responds really well to a kind but firm approach in unfamiliar situations. He just likes to know what's going on, and if he's unsure, a little patience and reassurance goes a long way. He loads really well, but can get anxious when travelling, and dental visits aren't his favourite. However, he is great with the vet, and stands patiently for the farrier with a lick.

He is so easy to look after, barefoot all round and happily lives out with mares or geldings. He doesn't get upset if he's the last one left in the field. He's a very hardy type so can live out 24/7 and is equally happy being stabled overnight. We like to keep him clipped all year for riding as he has a thick coat, so we rug him in winter. He is an absolute dream to clip - he basically taught me how to do it!

Up to date with everything - vaccinations, farrier, dentist.

Comes with full wardrobe - tack and rugs.

Penelope is a stunning traditional type with looks and temperament to be a great addition in any yard

She has been ridden by tiny tots on the lead and small adults she can adapt to what is asked of her.

Penelope has be used when and if someone wants to ride her she doesn’t need riding everyday.

She hacks out perfectly in traffic and open spaces and has always proved to be genuine and sensible.

Recently she was taken to cross country and she just put a smile on her riders face! We were so pleased with her, prefers to go steady than fast a real easy going girl!

Based at Foster – Derbyshire Area

Meet Rory, a handsome young gelding who is looking for his new home as a project pony or non-ridden companion. Once Roru turns four he can start the backing process to become a future childrens pony, or would also make a great companion for other young ponies.

Rory is generally easy to handle including being good to catch, lead and groom. Due to his age he will require some consistent handling to further his education, especially with leg handling, however, will be extremely rewarding to work with.

Rory is currently living out in a gelding only herd, due to recently being castrated. He will require some restrictive grazing due to his type so is best suited living with other ponies with similar grazing needs.

Can you offer Rory a loving home?

Suzie

11.3hh 7year old Cob

The perfect second pony for a confident child or lead rein pony.

She is perfect for a farrier, dentist, load and bath. She can step up a gear for a more confident child or plod along with a more novice child. Suzie is still quite green so is not a complete novice pony. She loves to be groomed and pampered and will stand perfectly. She would make the perfect family pony for a child who wants to have fun. Suzie hacks alone or in company and doesn't bat an eyelid to any traffic. She is well behaved in open spaces. She has lovely manners and is very chilled and quiet, everyone who meets her falls in love with her quiet nature and how sweet she is.

She's been out to local shows and has behaved like a dream. Suzie has 3 solid paces which will mean in time she will do well in showing and would excel in the show ring. She's a complete tryer and wants to do the very best for her rider. Suzie puts up with anything and will do everything you ask of her. She currently lives on a busy yard but has also lived on a small quiet yard and has settled well in both. She can be a bit horse shy with other horses but this can be worked on with time.

If you think that you have the perfect home that we are looking for for Suzie pm me. She will only go to the best home where she will be loved forever.

Clyde – 14hh 5yo TGCA Blue Blagdon Cob Gelding

Really, really sad sale of a much-loved member of the family.

Clyde is a gorgeous 14hh, 5-year-old blue blagdon cob gelding with striking markings. He is TGCA registered and, with his looks and presence, I think he could do very well in the show ring.

Clyde is the definition of a turbo cob! He’s certainly no plod and absolutely loves getting out and doing things. He’s still green due to his age, but he’s coming on really nicely in the school and is keen to learn.

He hacks alone and in company and is fantastic in traffic, including with larger vehicles. He’s sensible in open spaces and around livestock, and will happily pop a small cross pole - although I’m not convinced show jumping is going to be his calling in life!

Clyde is the sort of cob who really benefits from having a job and being kept busy. He would suit someone who wants a fun, forward-going horse to get out and enjoy, continue his education and potentially do a bit of showing with. Although he has happily been ridden by children on the lead-rein, he is not suitable for a novice and I’d really like him to go to an experienced, confident home where he'll be kept busy.

On the ground, Clyde is incredibly sweet and cuddly in the stable, loves attention and is forever making people laugh with his antics. He can be strong on the ground if he thinks he can get away with it, so again needs someone confident.

This is an incredibly difficult sale and finding the right home is far more important to me than finding the quickest one. He is very much loved and will only go to a home where I feel he will be happy, understood and enjoyed.

Can come with tack and rugs if needed.

Viewings very welcome and plenty of videos available on request.

13.2hh 5 year old cracking show cob ! TGCA registered

Broken and established walk trot and canter , working beautifully in walk and trot and outline coming in canter .

Has popped a small fence , been hound exercise , local show ( won First time out and placed in every class ) done fun ride , she is safe and fantastic in large groups and open spaces , and brilliant on her own . She is still green but not a bad bone in her body , never bucked , reared , span or done anything remotely dangerous!

She is more forward but still requires a small amount of leg , fantastic breaks lovely snaffle mouth , everything you would want in a smart young cob . We really feel she has the potential to go far showing , she has 3 correct and flashy paces , no lumps or bumps , no vices , beautiful manners on the ground , travels like a pro , easy to load and deal with in new environments , never kicks or bites , never marish or silly in a field , great to catch , lives off fresh air but never had lami / been lame sick or sorry ! She really is a fantastic pony ready for an adult or teen to get out for the rest of the summer at shows , fun rides ect and she will love a winter hunting ! Brilliant around the hounds wasn’t bothered in the slightest, she will peel away from a group with no effort and join calmly !

Unfortunately due to my car completely breaking Dora is up for sale far sooner than planned as I need the funds to go towards that . She is priced for a quick sale and tbh is a bargain .

Please only serious enquiries .

Top class traditional show cob (tgca)

Bertie is a super sweet little chap

He is sure to stand out in the show ring or equally has the potential to be a perfect allrounder.

He’s done lots of hacking previously and came to us just over a month ago to progress with his work in the arena. He’s got a fantastic temperament and is very easy to handle both in and out of his stable.

Previously been shown very successfully inhand.

He hacks out really well and hasn’t been bothered by any traffic. He’s going sweetly in the arena, he wouldn’t suit a total novice due to his age and stage in his education so far. Started popping a fence and been very sweet

He’s got lots of fun to offer

Roger is a much-loved, genuine family pony who has been with us since he was two years old. He is only for sale because his teenage rider has sadly lost interest, and finding him the right long-term home is extremely important to us. If he were only a few hands higher he wouldn't be going anywhere, sadly I am too big for him!

Roger has a wonderful, affectionate nature and genuinely loves human company. He is brilliant to catch, can be caught by children or adults and will happily follow you around the field just to be involved. He loves being groomed, pampered and fussed over.

He has been ridden by children aged eight and thirteen, as well as small adults. Roger can be steady and sensible when required, but he also has another gear and will step up to be a fun and forward when asked. He enjoys his work, loves getting out and about and I'm sure will turn his hoof to almost anything.

Roger recently attended a local show, an arena hire to jump, pole clinics and has even tried horse ball, during every outing he was an absolute star, not putting a foot wrong. He has approached each new activity and environment with a trusting, willing attitude and generally takes things in his stride.

He hacks alone or in company and is excellent in traffic. He is unfazed by tractors, heavy goods vehicles, rattling trailers, roadworks, chainsaw, bicycles and dogs.

He is good for the farrier and vet and is straightforward to clip and bath. Roger is barefoot with good feet, has never had laminitis and can live either in or out throughout the winter. He has lived happily with both mares and geldings and is easy to share a field with. He doesn't get stressed when companions leave him or he leaves them.

Roger would make a fantastic lead-rein or assisted first-ridden pony, suit a child progressing with support, or make a versatile family pony. He has plenty to offer a family wanting to enjoy hacking, Pony Club activities, clinics, local shows, poles, horseball and jumping.

Up to date with influenza and tetanus vaccinations and worming. Open to vetting.

Knowledgeable, loving home essential for this very special pony.

Tack and rugs: [available separately].

Bobby is currently competing in 60 and 70cm classes with plenty of clear rounds and placings including qualifying for the Sunshine Tour 2026. He competed at the SMP Hickstead Weekender in May, coming away with a placing in a large class and jumped 3 double clears out of 4 over the weekend! This was only his 4th ever show and he took it all in his stride including staying away and the atmosphere etc. He has also done a little dressage and showing, recently competing in a lead rein fun class with a 4yr old.

Bobby is fantastic to hack both on the roads and in open spaces, will go first, last or anywhere in between! He has seen buses, lorries and tractors and is not phased by any of them, often leading another horse past ‘scary’ things.

Bobby is snaffle mouthed at all times and barefoot with good feet. He is good to clip, farrier, bath and catch. Bobby loads and travels well in a trailer on his own or with another and is happy to stay onboard while the other competes. He is very easy to handle when out and about and at home. Handled daily by children - leading, grooming, tacking up etc.

He would live in or out, currently out at night and in during the day.

Up to date with vaccinations and teeth.

Bobby is a lovely young pony with a lot to offer his next rider. Currently I would say he is a second pony but has all the makings to be a first pony with a little more mileage.

Some tack and rugs included.
