Standing at approximately 15.2hh outstanding Irish Cob Gelding |Just 5 Years | Exceptional, Safe All-Rounder | £17,500 Ono

If you’re searching for a horse that genuinely can turn his hoof to anything, then look no further.

Standing at approximately 15.2hh and having just turned 5 years old, this beautifully bred Irish Cob carries the renowned Faeryoak prefix, known for producing quality, versatile horses with exceptional temperaments. Produced consistently, sympathetically and correctly, he combines a sensible, trainable brain with quality movement, presence and versatility that is increasingly difficult to find.

This exceptional young horse has already enjoyed success in a variety of disciplines. He has competed in Riding Club activities and local-level showing, regularly taking the spoils in the cob classes and achieving Reserve Champion, only being beaten by a very smart Shetland on the day.

On the flat, he is established, level and willing, with three balanced paces and enough flair to produce a very smart dressage test. He has attended jumping clinics, is lovely over poles and is sensible and straightforward to a fence. Having been cross-country schooling, he has seen solid obstacles and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Gates are no issue, happily opening and closing them with ease.

Despite his age, he possesses an exceptionally sensible head on young shoulders. He is the type the entire family can enjoy, as an example:

• Hunting on Saturday with Dad

• Dressage on Monday with Mum

• Pony Club activities with the children through the week!

A superb weight carrier, he is kind and forgiving with novice riders whilst still offering enough quality and ability for a more experienced rider to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a quiet hack around the village, a Riding Club partner, a showing prospect, one for hunter trials or hunting, he is an all-round family horse who is adaptable enough to do it all.

On the ground he is an absolute gentleman and a pleasure in every way. He loads, travels and clips impeccably and is easy to handle in all respects.

Currently barefoot with excellent, strong feet. Recently had his teeth attended to and is fully up to date with vaccinations, worming and all routine care.

A truly special horse with a bright future ahead of him - a real investment.

Viewings welcomed and open to the vet.

Minx 🤍🖤🤍

Minx is an 11-year-old piebald Gypsy Cob mare, standing at approximately 12.3hh.

Minx is good to catch, shoe, load, bath and is very easy to handle in every way. She currently lives happily in a mixed herd of mares and geldings.

She is an honest, reliable pony who has been a valued member of our trekking centre for the past three seasons, safely carrying both complete beginners and experienced riders out on the trails. She is excellent in traffic, around farm machinery and livestock, and is completely at home exploring the wide-open Welsh hills.

Minx does hack out alone but is used to going out in a group day to day. She is a steady, genuine girl but will pick up the pace if asked and she has done some schooling work in previous home.

This is a reluctant sale due to closure of our trekking centre and reduction in stock. We are looking for the very best home where she can enjoy the next chapter of her life with her new best friend.

Searching For A Sensible Family Friend / Allrounder To Enjoy Hacking, Pleasure Rides & Clinics

Ref #: 410902
  • Full Up 14.2 - 15.2hh. Age 6 -14 yrs.
  • Confident Hacking Out / Meeting Farm Vehicles. Sensible To Hack In A Group / At Pleasure Rides.
  • Lightweight Cob / Connemara Or Similar Type.
  • Full Up 14.2 - 15.2hh. Age 6 -14 yrs.
  • Confident Hacking Out / Meeting Farm Vehicles. Sensible To Hack In A Group / At Pleasure Rides.
  • Lightweight Cob / Connemara Or Similar Type.

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise, but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

13.1hh 12 year old traditional cob mare

  • Professionally re-started, ridden away and produced for the past year

  • A true leg at each corner and fantastic stamp of a traditional cob

13.1hh 12 year old traditional cob mare.

She is a true leg at each corner.

I am 5ft9 and I am the rider in the photos.

Mya has been with me for two years now, she came to me with a very young foal at foot, she was a brilliant mum.

She has been professionally re-started, ridden away and produced by myself for over a year now, so has had a fantastic re-start to her education. She has been produced slowly and correctly and is proving to be a lovely all rounder who is super honest and always tries her very hardest to please you.

Mya is the most gentle and affectionate soul and is a very loyal little mare who will give you her whole heart. She loves a fuss and a cuddle and just spending time with you.

Mya is snaffle mouthed at all times and has excellent breaks! She can pick up a gear if asked and she is more forward thinking away from home but never strong or silly. She is schooling beautifully in walk and trot and works over poles and will trot over a tiny jump. She quietly pops into canter and her fitness has massively improved recently for me to start progressing her canter work now.

I have started boxing her up and getting her out and about and she is an absolute pleasure away from home, she loads and travels quietly, ties up outside the box happily, stands to be mounted and is very level headed about it all and very much enjoys seeing and trying new things!

She has done two Trec clinic’s which she absolutely loved and she tackled all the obstacles very boldly! She has also been to a pole clinic and was a superstar.

In her first dressage competition she gave me two lovely tests scoring 65.68% and 2nd place and then 66.14% and 4th place. In her second competition she did a super test scoring us 67% and 3rd place. In her third competition she scored 66.8% and 1st she always gets lovely comments from the judges.

She is a very special little lady with such a massive heart and I know when she finds her perfect partner that she will bring so much happiness and love into their life, someone is going to be very lucky to have her in their life. I am in absolutely no rush and she will only be sold to her perfect partner and forever home, she deserves the very best and in the meantime we will keep going out and having fun together until that person finds us.

She is up to date with everything, farrier (she is barefoot), fully vaccinated for flu and tetanus, worming and worm counts, teeth and physio.

She is happy to live in or out, she currently comes in for a few hours a day and turned out with two other mares the rest of the time.

She loads and travels well in a box, I have never had her in a trailer but I can’t see her being a bother as she loves to go out in the box.

She has a passport and microchip.

Homes will be vetted, I am looking for a forever home only please.

No novices please, as much as she is a very straightforward pony to work with and handle I would prefer her to find an experienced home who will give her the very best care.

Absolutely no dealers, no time wasters, no day dreamers, no novices, no joy riders, no riding schools, no loans and no payment plans.

Based East Riding of Yorkshire

If you go to Spring House Farm stud’s Facebook and TikTok you will find posts/photos/videos of her.

If you think she sounds like what you are searching for please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Messages ONLY please, my phone signal is terrible so calls are hard to hear and I don’t pick up unknown numbers.

13.2hh 5 year old dun traditional cob mare.

She is a true leg at each corner.

I am 5ft9 and I am the rider in the photos.

It is hard to find the words to describe my beautiful girl Willow, but one thing is for sure… her attitude to life is truly infectious, you can’t help but smile when you are with her and every single person that meets her falls in love immediately. I will only let her go to her perfect partner, so only the most special of forever homes please. She will be sorely missed and I have been putting this off for some time but she is so ready for her next chapter and I know that she is going to make that one very lucky person so unbelievably happy and that is exactly why I do what I do.

Willow has been professionally started, ridden away and produced by myself for the past two years, so has had a fantastic start to her education. She has been produced slowly and correctly and is proving to be a fabulous all rounder who is very willing to turn her hoof to anything that you ask of her and very much enjoys having a job and being out and about!

I lightly backed her as a 3 and a half year old and then turned her away for the winter to mature. Then restarted her as a 4 year old and she has been in regular work since then, other than a couple of months break over last winter. She is such a lovely mare to work with, so honest and willing to give everything a go, she always tries her heart out for you. She is forward thinking, responsive to the aids and light in the hand. She can pick up a gear sensibly if asked and always has excellent breaks. She is schooling beautifully in walk, trot and canter and has started lateral work. She would effortlessly work way up the levels BD.

She is snaffle mouthed at all times.

Willow has been boxing up regularly since September last year and has been regularly attending pole clinics since then. She has also done a couple of Trec clinics and tackled all the obstacles very boldly. She has been on several Ride Yorkshire guided group rides hacking through the Yorkshire wolds and rides very sensibly with others, is happy to be at the front, back or in the middle of the group and canters quietly as a group. She has also ridden solo round Escrick park estate and is happy to walk, trot and canter on her own in open spaces, without being silly or strong.

She has been to two dressage competitions now scoring 65.68% and 3rd place in her first ever test (she had never seen the white boards before this) then went straight back in and won her second test with 70%. In her second dressage competition she scored 67.5% in both tests and won both classes. With lovely comments from the judges on all her sheets.

I have not jumped her up until recently because of her age. She has jumped a few small cross poles at home and a few little logs at Escrick park and both times she was super honest and popped straight over with no bother at all. She makes a nice shape over jumps and has plenty of scope and natural ability to do more.

Willow is a wonderful little mare with such a huge heart and so much to give. We have had so much fun together and it will break my heart to let her go. I am in absolutely no rush and she will only be sold to her perfect partner and forever home, she deserves the very best and in the meantime we will keep going out and enjoying having fun together until that person finds us.

Willow came to me with very mild locking stifles (they have never locked) I have worked closely with my vet and physio and followed their advice from day one to ensure that I have done absolutely everything possible to strengthen her. This is one of the reasons that I have kept her this long so I had a definite answer on whether she was going to grow out of the condition or not so then I could sell her with the assurance of this and I am delighted to say that she has grown out of it. And with everything we have done together, she has more than proved she will excel in any discipline!

She is up to date with everything, farrier (she is barefoot), fully vaccinated for flu and tetanus, worming and worm counts, teeth and physio (which she has had every 6 weeks for the entire time she has been with me)

No novices please, as much as she is a very straightforward pony to work with I am looking for someone to continue her education and give her a job and go out and have fun on her.

Absolutely no dealers, no time wasters, no day dreamers, no novices, no joy riders, no riding schools, no loans and no payment plans.

Oakley has been backed and is being ridden out on hacks and in the arena, proving to be very willing and easy under saddle. He has taken to it like a duck to water!

He is a flashy, beautiful mover, forward going whilst also very brave and not spooky in the slightest. Has hacked on roads encountering cars and other livestock, none of which phased him at all. He will hack alone and in company, where he js more than happy to lead the way! He also has a lovely scopey jump too.

Good to groom and pamper and will stand all day to be groomed and fussed over.

He is up to date with the farrier, dentist, and vaccinations.

We do feel that he would not be suitable for children just at the moment, nor nervous people and novices. Zero malice in this pony, he is just at a very important point in his education, and he can have the very occasional test on the ground. It is nothing that would phase an experienced horse person!

He is the ideal project for someone who is willing to be patient and have a rewarding pony to give them lots of fun!

Our beautiful Bill, we bought Bill at just 5 months old in horrendous condition.

Bill was string test to make 14.1- 14.2 he is 2 years 7 months and standing at a full up 13.2 just below 13.3 now.

Bill is gelding, vaccinated, wormed, chipped, passported.

Exceptionally well behaved on the ground, ties up, stands to be bathed, plaited, perfect for farrier.

Bill has started showing inhand and takes it all in his stride, very well behaved, ties up at trailer, travels really well doesnt sweat up etc.

Winning 1st places in his first shows and moves beautifully with lovely comments from judges.

Handled and shown by a 12 year old child.

Bill had been sat on by my daughter and walked around the yard (farm) and didnt put a foot wrong.

We sold billy after loosing our grazing over 15 months ago, but he came back to me when is buyer needed to sell him back suddenly due to personalreasons. Sadly we cannot keep him due to costs of new yard so we've got him out, showing, weight on, well handed and ready for his forever family.

He will only go to the very best home.

This is an extremely sad sale of our beloved 14h, 18 year old Piebald Mare.

We are looking for a 5 star, knowledgeable, forever home for our gorgeous girl.

Dolly owes us nothing as she has been a loyal part of our family for 5 years. She is never sick or sorry. Everyone rides Dolly.

She is super genuine and is very good to hack on the roads alone or in company . She prefers to be in front. She is good with farm machinery.

My daughter loves to ride her cantering bareback around the fields and she loves a splash in the river!

She is not suitable for a complete beginner as she has her occasional days when she’s more excitable but we always know when she’s feeling well.

She is easy to do in all ways, children can do everything with her, clipping etc.

Sadly my daughter has moved onto a competition pony and we couldn’t bear to sell Dolly so she has been at my parents home in Oxfordshire for a year, nannying a youngster. She might take a week or two to get fit and going, however we rode her straight from the field last week and she was an absolute super star as ever and was very happy to be back out and about.

We are looking for a 5 star, knowledgeable, forever home where she will continued to be loved to bits.

We are in no rush to sell her and she will only go to the very best of homes.

(Please note, I am away 5th-15th August so I will not be taking calls then but am happy to receive text messages which I will respond to on my return).

He is very mellow to ride in groups, even in open spaces. He is quiet around traffic, cows, tractors, machinery, and in new places.

We think Ranger would best suit a family with many kids who ride, or a riding school looking for a quiet, patient pony.

Ranger will jump x-rails and small cross country jumps. He shines best out hacking and in open fields, where you can trust him to not get excited. He would be a safe choice for a child to go hunting with as he is brave and steady for cross country.

Ranger is a push ride, and definitely ‘more woah than go.’ He always goes in a snaffle.

He can live in or out without getting fresh. He is easy for a novice to catch, shoe, plait, load, tie, etc. He has no vices, lumps or bumps.

He is open to any vetting

A beautiful example of a traditional cob with full mane, tail and feathers. She moves too! Most of what we have done with Rosie to date is hacking to get her confidence and to enjoy her work. We felt the school made her a little tense and due to her age and stage in education she was struggling to balance herself (as we all know the cobs do find tight corners tricky!) however she is very safe and forward going and even if she gets tense you’ve always got breaks. She’s not the type to ever buck, rear or bolt just occasionally needs to pause have some reassurance then go again. Marches through the village unfazed by all the tractors, buses and school traffic that passes through. However given her age she is not suitable for a total novice.

I am advertising now at the stage she is however will continue to take her on outings. This weekend I will be taking her to do a traditional cob class for some experience. We will also be attending hound exercise and fun rides.

With some time I feel she would excel in a few different types of homes. Someone who enjoys showing traditionals or even someone who just wants a beautiful, leg in each corner cob to take to the pub and down the beach. Whatever job she goes to do she’s ready for someone to make their own.

She pops a fence and can make a nice shape too.

All viewings and vettings welcome.

Rose is a gentle, sweet-natured cob mare who has recently returned into our care through absolutely no fault of her own, and she is now looking for her new home as a non-ridden companion. Living out 24/7 on sparse grazing, Rose is a perfect match for other good doers who also need restricted grass. Rose can live with both mares and geldings, and could adapt to part stabling with a steady routine.

Rose can be a little unsure at times, especially when settling in, but with a quiet home and a calm, confident handler she will truly flourish. She absolutely loves a good groom and will soak up every bit of fuss and affection.

Meet Stitch, a sweet-natured cob who is looking for a kind, experienced home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy life as a companion pony. Having come into our care from a private owner, Stitch is now settling into a new routine and currently lives out happily 24/7 with other geldings, where he enjoys the reassurance of herd life.

Stitch is a gentle pony who enjoys building connections with people and thrives with calm, patient handling. While he can initially feel unsure in unfamiliar situations, he is making lovely progress and is becoming more confident with everyday interaction and handling. Once he feels comfortable, Stitch shows a kind and affectionate side and enjoys spending time with those he trusts.

He is continuing to build confidence with new experiences, including routine care such as vet and farrier visits, and responds well to positive reinforcement and steady guidance. Stitch benefits from consistency, reassurance, and handlers who are happy to work at his pace and celebrate the small wins along the way.

Stitch would thrive in a quiet, understanding home with experienced and confident carers who can offer him a relaxed, routine-based lifestyle with plenty of turnout and equine companionship. With time, patience, and kindness, Stitch has all the potential to become a deeply rewarding companion and form a wonderful bond with his future home.
