This little guy came to us through a friend at the beginning of lockdown (March 2020). The intention was to produce him for the showring, however time, lockdown, lack of gradings and now youngsters coming through means I wont be able to do this guy justice. He is completely wasted and deserves a home more geared up with small jockeys and room for another horse to compete.

He lunges, longlines, walks and trots independently with a jockey onboard around the farm, he isn't at all spooky, he's used to children, dogs, heavy farm machinery, but in no way would I claim he is riding away completely or schooled.

I believe he will be quiet enough for a child although would need a small adult or older child to finish his education. Superb nature around kids, never kicks or bites. Turns out, grazes and stables next to other stallions and geldings, very rarely vocal. Lives happily on yard with mares although we don't keep any stallions within touching distance of the mares.

Good for farrier, although kept unshod, no ailments other than very overweight at the moment. Loads and travels, good to clip, an absolutely gem for anyone looking for a serious showing project.

For sale only to a knowledgeable and loving home. Feel free to message for more info.

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

  • Enjoys her jumping and bold over a fence.

A real eye catching home bred, 4 year old filly standing at 14.3.

Stella is forward going with 3 established, balanced paces, working in a natural outline.

Very straight forward and genuine to a fence, doesn't look at anything.

A pleasant filly to handle both on the ground and ridden who enjoys interaction.

Hacks out alone or in company and will go at the front or the back. Used to a busy farm environment with farm machinery and lorries.

Would suit an adult or a teenager. Fit and ready to now progress and compete. A real fun horse who is good enough to show to a high level and bold enough to do WH/XC/hunting.

Always the same every time you bring her out the box, doesn't need to be ridden every day. No vices. Clean limbed. Good to box, shoe, clip and catch. Travels well. Genuine enquiries only, videos on request.

Based South West Scotland, 10 mins from Getna.

Gorgeous little mare, she is green as grass but you won't find a more genuine pony! Hacks alone and in company with no bother, has been rock solid in all traffic we've met.

Ridden in open fields and on bridlepaths, as well as on the roads. Has been in the school, she is a willing and happy pony who now needs miles on the clock and schooling polishing up.

She isn't a plod, but will never be a whizzy pony! She is very straightforward in all ways, good to catch, load, travel, farrier, will stand quietly tied up, ride & leads etc etc.

Has had her first jab, teeth done and just had her first pair of shoes on.

Shropshire / North Wales border.

JOE - Joe is a 13 hand, 6 year old, real life unicorn gelding!

He is as wide as he is tall, making him one for all the family. Great for mum to pootle around the countryside on, eldest child to have loads of fun and youngest child to learn to ride.

Joe has done mostly hacking and driving but is a complete people pleaser, proving green but totally willing in the school. He will jump but requires guidance - nothing that a good kid won’t teach him.

Fab in big traffic.

Joe is great the the farrier and has the best feet in the world! No need for shoes here ! Loaded onto our lorry with just a head collar, no questions asked ! He’s been wormed and bathed within an inch of his life!

Super in open spaces. Walk trot and canter.

Joe is super economical, lives on fresh air and is not fussy. Although we have found his favourite treats are blueberries!

He lives happily in or out, alone in pairs or in mixed groups.

Picks all four feet up and will be groomed for days!

Joey deserves the best home, if you think you can give him that please feel free to contact me on 07983 726823 for more info and videos.

Joe will be for sale only until I find a way of shortening my legs enough to be able to keep him for myself !!!!!

She has a lovely nature and although not a complete plod is a safe genuine fun pony. She rides alone or in company with more established riders and is happy on lead rein with less established.

Easy to do in all ways.

14.1h 4yo cob mare. Super sweet personality, loves people. Happy to stand and be fussed over all day. She has recently been backed and ridden away.

Loves hacking out, alone and in company. Doesn't hot up in big open spaces even when cantering in a group, definitely more woah than go!! Happy to stand and watch whilst others are cantering around and will go away from a group also.

Absolutely unphased by everything she has done so far, has jumped little logs out hacking and cross poles etc in the school.

Obviously still green due to age but she's got the right attitude to be a super family allrounder. With the right support and guidance can't see why she wouldn't suit a competent novice now.

Up to date with teeth and jabs, good for the farrier to trim and has excellent hard feet.

Happy to WhatsApp videos

12.3hh very pretty 4 year old cob for sale with a Rapunzel mane.

Been produced by my 12 year old and now jumping small 70 courses but scope to go much higher.

Moumin is a project and will not be sold to anyone without experience. She hasn’t put a hoof wrong since she has been with us but she is young and it wouldn’t be responsible to sell her to just anyone because of this.

Having said that she is incredible for her age - hacks for hours with my daughter and her friends on the downs and doesn’t hot up when my daft mare decides to find dragons in every hedge. Absolutely bombproof on the roads.

She is great in the school and can produce a good outline - lovely paces and fantastic jump (hasn’t stopped once with us)

Really my daughter has done it all!

Good to shoe and clip. Lives on fresh air - great with traffic.

Her only small issue would be loading - which she was fine to do when she came to us but due to lockdown we haven’t been able to go anywhere. I have also recently had an accident so haven’t / won’t be able to manage much at stables and work in travel so now business is coming back it’s time for her to find a new little friend.

Moumin was bought as a project and is now ready to continue education further and attend all pony club events etc where she will excel.

Comes with tack and rugs.

13.2h 6yrs Gelding. Gypsy Vanner type Coblet. Amazing Kind temperament, cheeky, but impossible not to love.

Moves exceptionally well, with showy paces, keeps a super rhythm, and is very comfortable. Although small he is deep in the girth and takes up the leg easily.  would say his comfortable weight limit is around 10 stone

Came to me at 3 yrs old, timid and gangly, and he’s blossomed into the most well meaning Cheerful chap, with a leg at each corner. He has been a companion to my advanced dressage horse who has to live out, but I run a livery yard and he was frequently borrowed by liveries if their horse was alone. He gets on with everyone. I did all the ground work with him, and then relied on smaller jockeys to help when available as I am too heavy! This means his training has been sporadic, but it makes no difference if he’s ridden 5 times a week or one day a month.

He was shown age 4, totally unphased, even when a loose pony was flying around, and the horse next door put its foot through their trailer ramp!! Freddie is inquisitive and trusting. Hacks brilliantly in company, he strides out in front, likes to explore, and walks home quietly. We dont hack alone because its too busy here.

Age 5 he was frequently the demo pony for my long reining training clinics, patiently attentive for hours on end. One day he long reined 8 Pony Club children through a little obstacle course, as obliging with the last one as he was with the first, a proper schoolmaster, he melted my heart. I have loads of video of him, my phone is full! At one of the few shows we managed to run last year he did an intro test in front of a guest judge and scored 72%.

I have mentioned the cheeky side ;-) Please be aware he will tip the wheelbarrow over in the field and think its hilarious. He will untie himself and wander into the tackroom for a look around! He has absolutely got “grandmothers footsteps” worked out and makes me laugh all the time.

He is 6 this year and he really needs to head off to a lovely home that wants to Show, Hack, Trec, Spookbusting, have Fun. He can pop a small jump but he isn’t built for leaving the floor and is quite minimalist in his approach. He will manage one or two but then literally runs out of steam. He has shown more interest in rustic jumps so could imagine a fun ride with some little logs would be his perfect level. He is Not a sporty pony club pony, he is chunky, has lots of hair, and would make a beautiful showing pony. Given his age he still needs help with his schooling so he would benefit from some experienced guidance/lessons to continue educating this cracking little fella. He’s got an active brain, loves a game, and I hope to find him a home which offers that variety, with lots of love. Who knows, you could be showing him at HOYS one year, if it ever runs again!

Barefoot (feet like rocks!), Lives in or out. Can be turned out alone. Can be left in the stable alone. Passported. Microchipped. Clipped. Wormed. Vacs July. Teeth Checked. Used to being bathed (A lot!). Loads and travels no problem.

Lives on fresh air. He’s the first one asking to be caught.

I’m told you can’t buy temperament, well now you can :-)
