Welsh section d black gelding, kind boy, loves his job a very happy jolly, a fun forward ride, nice and flashy, loves jumping, hacking alone or company, can be a little looky and more forward on his own but fun not nasty,
I bought him for my 13 year old son in January, unfortunately my son has recently lost interest, still riding him but wants to give up (in all honesty he would rather be out mountain biking with his friends)
We have taken him to some shows, xc hire, arena hire, show jumps hire, working hunter hires, hacked and jumped him, He was a very good boy and enjoyed himself, in the show classes he listened and didn’t get excited or wound up, stood in the line up lovely on the buckle end, working hunter he did not put a foot wrong, jumped a lovely round and schooled beautifully
I bought him from a happy hacking home, so he could even find a home for this and he would still be happy as long as he’s getting attention and that bond with one person,
I have recently found out he must of done pony club rallies and fun rides as have seen pictures, he schools lovely, not silly in open spaces, jumped a few courses, coloured poles and rustics solid wooden fences, ditches steps, barrels, wooden fences, loves jumping but not sure if seen many coloured fillers, he has done some trick riding people hanging off him, vaulting, flags draped over him, jousting, so proves the type he is, one in a million I would say, a kind temperament, trusting,
We bought him with a loading problem but have taken him out different arena hires, shows, and on top of this he has jump lessons once a fortnight and this loading has improved so much, we have a little routine that works quickly, he has to travel in a box alone with no partition but this could be worked on with time, I just don’t need to travel two so just take him
He is brilliant to clip, loves a bath and pamper, good to shoe rug etc… comes to call, always the first one at the gate, kind and beautiful! He knows it, a forever home is super important, he is happy in the stable prefers company in too, or out in the field, no health issues and never had any issues with lameness or injuries, (has a small scar on his ribs from years ago doesn’t affect him)
Typical Welsh so not for a total novice, but have rode and led my daughters little Welsh A from him, and accompanied a newly broken nervous horse out hacking regularly, proven to do a fab job, not strong or silly no nastyness or bad habits, had napped a couple of times leaving home to hack alone in the past when we first got him back in January, just spins a couple times to see his friends if he could get away with it, but not done this for months, may try it in a new home but tell him your boss and he won’t try it again, again typical welsh!
Green passport nebo and Darwin lines in there, comes with fairly new fitted saddle, rugs, a new grackle bridle and martingale, and a hunter bridle and Pelham,
Super sad sale but he’s to big for my 5 year old daughter and I sadly can’t keep on top of two for long, a few friends have hacked him out with me and had a fun time, up to date on his teeth, last done last month, had a sheath clean bean lady out and was fairly clean a couple of weeks ago, up to date on vaccines, not suitable for a novice as a hot forward Welsh.
I feel as he was a happy hacker when we bought him in January he could carry on as that or we have given him a good taste of everything else and he had been very keen and obviously loved it but still needs work to reach his full potential. I wouldn’t call him a finished produced pony
