Tilly is a stunning (inside and out!) 14.2, coloured, Connie X, 9yo mare. She is a genuine schoolmistress who would teach children a lot but also has the talent to progress through the levels with a competitive child or small adult. She has scope to burn and could easily be a potential FEI pony in the right hands but equally would happily pop round 60cm with a child teaching them the ropes.

Team 4th and DCs at the NSEA championship in 2024, qualified for NSEA 2025 in SJ and arena eventing, won UA ODE at 70, several wins and placings at UA SJ up to 95cm. BD record with mum, who’s done 3 prelims with good scores, placed in BD CT competitions. She’s also done WHP, PC, clinic’s, lessons and much more fun!

This super mare has scope to burn, genuine and bold over a fence, moves very well and straight and is so trainable.

At home Tilly is an absolute pleasure to have around, she’s perfect on the ground and ridden, hacks alone and in company, doesn’t get hot or buzzy, and is completely vice free.

Away from home she is just as easy and behaves perfectly. Happily stand on the lorry all day at a show.

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

Lola Is a beautiful pony inside and out. Polite and easy, good to do in all ways.
