  • Kind and genuine with wonderful manners in the saddle and on the ground

Looking for a proven FYFR for our five year old daughter who is keen to start doing more off the lead rein.

Ideally a pony with good breeding - HOYs potential or already been to HOYS or similar

We are looking for a pony who has been there and got the T-shirt with little people. One that enjoys showing as well as pony club activities, SJ, WH, dressage, beach rides and general family fun. No bigger than 11.2/3 and no cobs please.

Must be bombproof and as good on the ground as they are ridden.

Aged between 8-16 as an ideal but would consider outside of this for the right pony.

Really lovely long term and ten star knowledgeable family home awaits our next unicorn pony.

We have owned Flash for the last 3 years. The time has now come for our unicorn pony to find a new home, where he can be a sash and rosette magnet for his next little jockey. He is such a kind pony, handled by children, loves to be fussed and groomed and always looking to please. He has been the perfect pony for us, 100% home produced and great for a tiny tot. Before Flash, we had never stepped foot in a show ring; we were complete novices and he’s taught us everything!

Excellent to hack on and off the lead rein, used to farm / heavy machinery and great in open spaces.

Flash has a lovely way of going, with beautiful paces, and a soft snaffle mouth. He oozes presence and the judges always love him. He is a true stamp of a show hunter pony. He is excellent at obstacles and not spooky. Doesn't require working in, calmers or earplugs - just a quick leg stretch and into the show ring! He's the perfect showman, collecting many Supremes. Fantastic at stay away shows and travels brilliantly on the lorry on his own.

There is so much more to come from this genuine, fabulous little pony, who has not been over shown (particularly this year as I (Mummy and Leader), had a baby at the start of the season!) Flash is looking for his next new jockey and best friend and has the potential to go all the way.

Beautiful pony, has a great jump but needs a very capable jockey, just very forward and can get strong. I am advertising him as a lead rein as I think this is the job he enjoys the most. He is not a First Ridden.

We have owned him for 3 years and he is the most beautiful pony inside and out. He is a favourite amongst our girls and turns heads every where he goes, his movement is outstanding. Only for sale as legs are growing and girls are moving on to bigger ponies.

He is sure to go to the top in Lead rein classes.

This is a post we as a family never wanted to write and we wish our daughter would be able to stay on her forever.

Peaches is a Dun, 13 Years old, Welsh section A mare.

She has taught my daughter EVERYTHING.
Peaches schools beautifully, has taught my daughter to learn to ride properly, she can ride with no stirrups, hacks everywhere, will stay at the back never strong or silly, has taught my daughter to canter/gallop in open fields, has even come hunting with us as a family, never silly, shes got manners to die for.

Always in the ribbons, dressage, showing, jumping.

She jumps for fun, taught my daughter to jump from poles on the floor to now comfortably around a good 55cm course with no hesitation.

Has attended ALL pony club activities, XC, mounted games, pony club camps, hacking rallies.
Gives all the small kids and big kids leads over the jumps and through the water.

Literally has been the biggest saint of a pony from the day she arrived with us 3 years ago.
She’s s taught our daughter to be brave, to laugh and giggle, she’s given her confidence and the best childhood we could ever have asked for as parents!

We have put off this advert all Summer as this will be one of the hardest things we will have to do as a family but we are now ready to move on to a bigger pony and we feel she’s way to good to be sat in our fields. Peaches now needs her next little jockey to teach the ropes!

We wont be giving her away as we know there are not many Peaches about that tick every parents box for their child.
Safety is everything.

Peaches is easy to do in all ways, loads, farrier, to catch. Has had all her vaccinations, regular dentist and physio.

She will come with her tack and rugs.

Peaches is open to vetting and available as from today.

**Reduced further to find this lovely boy a home ****

Paddy is the easiest pony to have at home, with a really laid back loveable nature

Paddy was 6th at Hoys in 2024

Was at london Int. 2023

Paddy was purchased as a junior /open pony for my daughter, however he stepped down beautifuly to contend a few novice first riddens ,before stepping up to juniors.

Recently turned his hoof to working hunter and came reserve supreme on his first attempt.

Happily jumps a course of show jumps and fences in the fields and out hacking ..

A lovely yes/can do attitude so would suit pony club /dressage/ wh Etc.

He is the perfect mannerly show pony and is very patient, or equally would be just as happy being a family all-rounder as he has proved so with us.

He is fantastic to hack alone and my daughter takes him off out by herself.

Will hack on the buckle or kick on across the stubble.

Hes a truly wonderful pony and easy to do in every way. However not suited to just off the lead rein. ( he has had no experience in this area with me )

Paddy has been adored in his previous homes and I'm sure they would all love to keep in touch..

Open to any vetting or trainer

FYFR first ridden/lead rein pony.

11hh, Reg’d Welsh A, gelding, 16 years old.

Excellent to handle by even the smallest of children, will stand tied up whilst my youngest daughter brushes his hooves!

Excellent in traffic, never strong or silly, snaffle mouth, definitely (absolutely!) a more woah than go type off the lead rein, loves to plod along. Leads perfectly on foot or from another horse, we lead him from our 16.2hh warm blood mare, somehow he manages to keep up!

In a previous home before we bought him he'd been used for pony club rallies/camp, showing etc. We've used him for mostly hacking, some local showing and fun rides.
He's only had 3 previous homes and I know each one, all of them follow his progress and I think that says a lot about him as pony.

We have owned Blaze for 4 fantastic years, he has bought our daughter on from a nervous/novice 5 year old who was on the lead rein to a confident, happy rider who has progressed to her 2nd pony.

He is the type of pony that doesn't mess around if his little jockey puts in a kick at the wrong time or has washing line reins, he doesn't take advantage if they can't quite get the aids right or if they haven't yet got full balance in trot and bounce along, the perfect pony to learn on.
My youngest has ridden him on and off since she was 2 years old, a true family pony.

We have absolutely adored our time with him, we thought we'd be able to give him a home for life but sadly my youngest daughter isn't interested enough and he's being wasted sat in the field as an ornament, I know how hard good ponies are to find, he's a true gem.

He's shod on the front, excellent in every way, comes to call.

He does have cushings and EMS which both are currently medicated for, he is currently stable but I have priced him fairly for the fact that he requires medication and special care, that said he is easy to manage with a muzzle on turned out and then soaked hay at night.

He is looking for an easy going home, would be perfect for a little tot wanting to plod around.

Heartbreaking sale of our wonderful little Blaze so please only apply if you can offer him an amazing home.

Based Devon/Cornwall border.

£1500 no offers, will come with his full wardrobe, quality fitted leather tack which includes a Kent and master saddle.
