Broma arrived into our care after his owner couldn’t care for him any longer due to personal circumstances, they decided he was best placed with Blue Cross to secure his future.

If you’re looking for a handsome horse who is always the first to greet you in the field and adores a good scratch on his neck, Broma could be the perfect addition to your family!

He adores attention and fuss, though due to his history, Broma would benefit from a handler who has experience with bigger horses to ensure he continues his journey to becoming a well rounded companion.

Broma would benefit from being able to live out as much as possible as he has some worries around stabling. This is due to a negative association to stables and veterinary treatments which, with time, patience and gentle reassurance he may overcome once settled into a new home.

Broma can live with mares or geldings. He has bags of love to give to his handlers and always tried his hardest to please. He will be best suited to a quiet environment.

Hi, Cherry here. I'm a very gentle soul who has stolen the hearts of my staff team with my fun personality and good looks!

I'm getting really good at trusting my handlers and can't wait to find my forever home where I can spend my days sunbathing and being pampered.

I'd love to find a home with a confident but gentle handler and, as I am a Shetland, the ability to watch my waistline!

Brian, a very handsome little chap! He arrived at the centre back in April and is working really hard with his handlers to develop trust and gain confidence.

Brian is now good to catch using combined reinforcement training and has started to enjoy his grooming. We are working on his feetwork and farrier training.

He would greatly benefit from a quiet home with a confident and gentle handler who will be very patient with him as he settles in.

Brian lives with geldings only and lives out 24/7 as he hasn't stabled much recently.

He is happy to stay alone for short periods once settled so would be an ideal companion to a ridden horse.

  • Confident handler

Willow arrived into our care having been transferred from the RSPCA. She arrived completely unhandled but has taken time to settle at our centre and is doing extremely well.

She is a sweet curious baby with lots of potential in the right hands. We have allowed her to settle into her new environment and have found she is naturally very curious about us. Willow now wanders over to start her training sessions with the team, she adores a scratch and finds this super positive! Willow can now be caught and has started leading, we will be working on grooming and feet picking, she has also seen the farrier under sedation so is working on seeing him very soon without!

She can still be timid and unsure of her surroundings so would thrive in a quiet set up with someone who has lots of time to give her, ideally to live with other young ponies. Willow is happy to live with mares or geldings and has lived out 24/7 since being at the centre, we hope to introduce her to stabling very soon now she has settled in well.

Willow is looking for a home as a non-ridden companion at this time due to her age and training needs, potentially in the future once she has settled she could be re assessed in a home to be a potential childs pony, due to her size she will most likely be a lead rein type.

Blue Cross Stanley

Ref #: 320317
  • Project pony, lead rein, kids pony
  • Experienced home
  • Bay
  • Gelding
  • 8 years
  • 12.2 hands
  • Project pony, lead rein, kids pony
  • Experienced home

Stanley has recently arrived after being transferred to us from the RSPCA. He is currently based at a foster yard whilst he awaits his new home.

A little timid at first to approach and catch but soon settles into a routine with a quiet handler. He enjoys stabling with company and is good to groom and have his feet picked out. He has seen the vet and farrier for his initial assessments just fine.

Stanley would like a home where he can live out 24/7 or part stable with friends in a quiet routine with other geldings. He would make a great little addition as a companion pony to a little herd or be a nice little project pony for someone willing to back him as a childs pony.

Allrounder / Dressage Horse Wanted

Forever, 5* loving home waiting

Ref #: 241008

  • Happy to hack alone and in company
  • Ideally warmblood
  • Forever home waiting
£10,000
  • 15.2 - 17.3hh
  • 5 - 14 Years old
  • Happy to hack alone and in company
  • Ideally warmblood
  • Forever home waiting

I am looking for my new best friend. A horse that is kind, loving and sensible that would be happy to do a variety of activities at a low level. Mainly dressage and hacking but I do want to do some low level show jumping and cross country next year. Ideally this horse will hack with and without company.

I'm looking for a friendly, big gelding who loves a cuddle (or may grow to love them). Ideally warmblood who is happy doing a bit of everything. This horse will no means be over used and ridden around 3-4 days a week.

I don't mind a horse with quirks as long as they are not dangerous, I'm used to shying and spooks as long as they take confidence from their rider with a laugh and pat.
I don't want a horse that rears or bolts. I do want a horse that I can enjoy and have fun with so please be honest about any issues when contacting me. It won't necessarily put me off as long as I know what it is and how it's managed for the right horse.

Must be happy to be vetted or inspected if there are pre existing issues.

Please text 07516 482883 initially with any questions or information/photos/videos. I may not be able to answer quickly due to work.

My budget is firm, up to £10,000 for the right horse, so please do not contact me if you're not willing to sell within my budget.
