This pony needs no introduction Annandale New Approach (Roachy), Top Class 122 WHP/Nursery Stakes pony looking for a new home

Strawberry Roan. By Soudley Taliesin. Welsh Section B. 2008.

He is a pony of a lifetime, regularly appearing at Hoys, LIHS & RIHS. Roach has a wealth of experience in the WH ring. He is beautifully schooled and is a prolific winner in the First Ridden classes also.

He has competed at winter dressage, NSCA, arena eventing 85cm with many qualifications in all spheres.

Roach is an incredible competition pony who has jumped around all of the major show venues with an impressive list of wins, championships and qualifications in his CV, to include high placings at HOYS & RI (winner). He is also a strong contender in the plaited nursery stakes classes, having previously finished fifth at RIHS in this class.

He was the winner of two highest qualifying 122 whp classes in 2024.

Would also do BS.

Always home produced, loves hacking, no vices. Easy to box, catch, shoe, clip.

This is a very difficult decision. He is such a lovely pony. We purchased Roach six months ago for my 9 year old daughter.

My daughter has sadly had 2 broken arms aged four and aged seven. The two breaks knocked her confidence which she does struggle with, she prefers the flat.

Although Roach has done nothing wrong, he is an Open pony who loves his job and we have realised that Florence needs something that requires more leg to build her confidence.

We are looking for a 5* home for this lovely boy. The price reflects this incredible pony so please, no daydreamers.

Serious enquiries, please no time wasters.

Genuine reason for sale as he’s perfect in every way but he’s definitely more kick than woah and our little legs are just to little right now.

Ticks along nicely enough on the flat.
Works amazing in open spaces
Quiet at shows etc etc.

I do believe he has everything in the tank to become a top track pony he just needs someone with longer legs to keep kicking or a kid in there last two years that’s a bit bigger and stronger.

He does step down for the little ones to jump round your stepping stones and springboards.

Even though he’s a jumping pony you could use him for a bit of everything as he’s got the right brain!

Kilshane Lady Arizona

Welsh Section B

14 years old & 13hh

Full Breeding Recorded (Thistledown)

If you are looking for the perfect SECOND pony for your child to move on to then Arizona is the perfect choice !! Arizona has been my daughters dream pony for the last 5 years. She is looking for her perfect new home as she has very sadly outgrown.
Arizona is the ultimate schoolmaster she excel in cross country.

Arizona is a true Pony Club Pony - a pony of a LIFETIME !! She has done everything you can imagine. Pony Club rally’s, clinics, pony club camps, Show jumping, xc, Eventing, Dressage, Showing Classes, Games, Working Hunter.

She would make a fantastic SJI pony for a child starting off as she is fast and always very careful.

She hacks out on the buckle alone or in company and has done beach/forest rides and full up to date with all her vaccines

She is a super jumper currently jumping 70-75 tracks with ease and could very easily go higher with the right rider.

All thought Ari is extremely willing and quite she would NOT be a 1st pony. She is forward off the leg, very honest and she does best with a well balanced rider with quiet hands. Ari LOVES her job but she is a speedy pony bringing home plenty of ribbons !! Arizona would be suited to a slightly older child age 10+ who has gained their confidence.

She is a dream to work with in hand and ridden. Travels extremely well and patiently will wait for her turn in the box. Would stand all day for the farrier . She loves attention and being brushed or bathed. She doesn’t mind living in or out.
Arizona is never mareish, you can leave her for a few weeks and she would still be the same as the last time you rode her. She has NEVER bucked, reared, napped or anything.
Open to vetting

This has been an extremely hard decision and she will only go to the best possible home
Serious enquiries only !!!
No time waster or people just looking a spin on a pony

Barney is an 8 year old home bred gelding up to height substantial old fashioned sort (hard to find) with good quality bone, super conformation, clean limbed and a straight mover.

He is fabulous to deal with in and out of the stable, good to load, catch, trim, clip and bath. Turns out with others, he is a real sweet character not in your face rude or bolshy on the ground. Kids can happily lead him round on a head collar. Great to hack alone or in company.

As well as flat classes he has a great jump in him and has done well in novice WHP this year. Also great junior pony.

Home is very important.

I would happily continue producing him for his new owners

Reduced as bigger pony now found. Very sweet loving mare, snaffle mouth well schooled responsive ride who loves her job. Jumped to 90cm show Jumping and always been good to load and leave on box.

We have done a couple of pc rallies with her but she did more in previous home as well as some dressage.

She is good to catch, with farrier and other horses, good in traffic and open spaces although she wouldn’t be for a nervous novice as is responsive and likes soft hands. She has no vices.

Sadly outgrown much quicker than anticipated hence looking for new home.

Southyew Heather
Chestnut Welsh Section B filly rising 4 (March 2026)
Recently started her education under saddle and is proving to be very willing and enjoying her work.

Her sire Locksley Don Galliano needs no introduction, she is full sister to Clanmill Stud’s stallion - Richvale Orion who is SPSS graded and her dam Cadlanvalley Ophelia, I owned and showed successfully gaining a bronze medal on her first outing.

She is homebred so only been with us since birth and has been well handled all her life, living on a small holding with sheep, pigs, goats, dogs and kids running around! Used to all kinds of machinery too.

Good to catch - always the first one over! Good for the farrier, loads and travels no problem in a trailer & 7.5t (she’s been shown in hand successfully since a foal) up to date with vaccinations and worming.
No lumps, bumps, scars or vices.

She is a lovely pony who has some big moves in there - I can see her producing a good dressage test! We have loose schooled her to which she’s shown plenty of scope. I can see her plaited to make a super SHP or a general all round PC type. She’s recently been to our local pony club field for experience where she was ridden in the arena and jumping fields, popped some small jumps and had a general play about which she really enjoyed.
She’s been led out hacking and is very well behaved, stands nicely for traffic etc.

My 8 year old daughter has started to ride her so she gets used to a child’s aid - she needs a little leg but is responsive.
She is a kind, fun pony - sure to be a child’s best friend and is now ready for someone to bring on and put their own stamp on her.

She is very special to us and requires a 5 star home.
No novices due to her age.
Would like to keep in touch and follow her progress.
Strictly no time wasters please!
We are on the Isle of Wight - please done let that put you off it’s only 40 mins on a car ferry! I can help with transport.

It’s with a very heavy heart that we offer Butleigh Tara (“Rara”) for sale. She’s an absolute super star, but sadly, I’ve realised she’s just a little bit too much pony for my 8-year-old daughter. Rara is dearly loved, so she will only go to a 5* home where she’ll be adored as much as she is here.

Butleigh Tara (“Rara”) - Rara has helped bring my daughter on beautifully, teaching her to ride more from her seat and develop real feel in the saddle. She is a fantastic pony for a confident, competent child looking to have fun and progress across all disciplines.

Good in all ways to catch, load, farrier, clip etc.

Kind and gentle on the ground. Handled by children even my 5 year old.

Has competed SJ, Dressage, XC, showing, workers and hunted in a previous home.

Great to take to shows.

Hacks alone and in company.

Works in a natural outline with 3 lovely paces.

Bold and scopey jump.

Attends weekly lessons / clinics

Rara has done it all — showjumping, dressage, cross country, showing, working hunter, and hunting in her previous home. She’s a pleasure to take to shows and always behaves impeccably.

Rara would suit an experienced young rider looking for a forward-going, fun, and honest all-rounder. She’s ready to go out and bring home ribbons with her next best friend.

LEAD REIN, SHOW PONY OR SMALL ADULTS SUPERSTAR

This pony can sort of do it all - so depending on what you are looking for he may be just what you need.

Stable name: Prince
Passport name: Chanwin Celtic Garland
Sire: Millcroft Beluga (by Millcroft / Royal Lustre x Thornwood Royalist)
Dam: Hilin Garland (by top sire Hilin Carnedd, a Royal Welsh champion and WPCS sire-ratings winner)

Very quiet and needs lots of kicking so either suited to a lead rein OR a stronger more competitive rider as he has the ability but you have to MAKE him work.

Very safe and reliable, does not buck or rear. Happily wobbles about in trot round the fields, out hacking all day long - if out in open space could race another pony in canter.

Very slow and steady in the arena - great to teach someone to canter on, goes like a rocking horse.

Lovely jump and lots of ability. Current owner tried to take BS and whilst he has all the ability she doesn't have the strength to get results.

Would do a fabulous dressage test for a stronger rider & I believe he would be excellent for a showing home.

If you're little and you don't want to kick he's not for you! If you're a light adult and want a flashy pony I find him very easy but you need to ride effectively and not bang and kick about to bring out his best.

Based at Queenz Equestrian. Was previously owned by Queenz, client purchased him and kept him at Queenz, rider now moving on to BS pony with more experience.

Dorlyn Contessa

Dorlyn Contessa or ‘Tessa’ is a 10 yo Welsh Section B Mare. She is superbly bred for the show ring with excellent confirmation and a floaty step.

In the 4 years we have owned her, she has turned her hoof to everything. From Working Hunter, Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping, Showing theres nothing she has not seen!

She has three lovely paces on the flat. She is forward going however is very responsive and is snaffle mouthed in all phases.

She jumps for fun, never says no and is incredibly brave and careful. She has show jumped with ease up to 90cm however has the potential to go further. She loves cross country and eats up the ground. Loves water, ditches banks etc and never second guesses.

She has brought home countless Working Hunter and Showing sashes. With an amazing step and presence, we believe she would be a superb 133cm HOYS WH contender. She thrives off of the atmosphere in an evening performance and doesn’t need earplugs, calmers etc.

To name just a few of her achievements:
• NIF 133cm WHP of the year 2024
• NIF Young Handler Reserve Champion 2025
• IPS Champion Young Handler 2025
Spring Champs NÍ Young Handler 2025
• 4th at PC Regional Eventing Championships in Scotland
• Team 2nd PC Regional Showjumping Championships in Scotland

Tessa has no vices, she is easy to deal with in all ways & currently barefoot. Perfect to hack, load, travel. She is straight and correct and is open to all vetting.

Although Tessa is sensible and safe, she needs a confident forward thinking rider as she loves her job!

Archie is an absolutely stunning Palomino Registered Welsh Section B 128cm 6yrs Gelding.

By Cadlanvalley Georgie Boy, Newtonhill Naughty Boy.

He's had a great summer of pony club rallies, working hunter, show jumping, cross country, first ridden, equitation, even some PC games!

Archie has been ridden by both my 9 year old and 13 year old daughters, which means
he's really had a good education for a 6 yr old!
He has more to learn, but has shown a great attitude to everything we've done with him.

Archie is now ready to progress in any discipline, or he would be equally happy as a lovely pony club pony for a child. We've done a whole summer of pony club activities and he' been fantastic fun for my girls to learn on. He will take it steady or go up a gear when the rider is ready!

Archie is ridden in a snaffle, and is safe at the beach. He will go behind or in front in open fields when my daughters take him for a canter out.

He has three flashy paces, and always scores highly at PC dressage comps, coping well with busy shows.

Archie has a careful scopey jump, with a correct technique, very brave to fillers. Jumping lots of double clears and winning rosettes. Jumping 1.10m at home with ease! So lots in the tank for the future if your jockey wants to win!

He has super conformation and is a real head turner, the judges love him. He could make a top level first ridden.

He's good to hack, in traffic, to box, shoe and clip.
Genuine reason for sale. My daughter has now got three 128cm ponies as weve been given my neices. We'd love to keep Archie, but my husband isn't in agreement and we're building an arena so I can't push it!

Open to vet. Please call for a chat to see if Archie might suit your child. Bridle and done rugs included.

Reduced as new pony has arrived and needs to be doing something.

7 year old lead rein or 2nd pony who loves attention.

He has done all pony club activities, been out jumping and small cross country, does not look at any of the fences, got the scope there but we have only jumped small.

Very easy to handle and catch, kind for children to brush, loads and travels well, good with farrier, up to date with vaccinations.

Good to hack out in company, we have not ridden him in heavy traffic but good with cars passing etc.

Sadly the current partnership is not working out, he needs more consistency with his schooling/more confident rider due to his age.

At previous home he was schooled beautifully (we do not have a school) and I think with more time he would produce a lovely dressage test/make a beautiful show pony.

Very friendly, he is turned out with mares and geldings and respects electric fencing. Stabled on small holding so used to farm animals.

We just want him to be busy and loved as he has lots of potential.

Fred has been the perfect first ridden pony for my daughter. He’s done so much with us — from cross country and show jumping competitions to mini one-day eventing, mounted games, pony club fun rides, and even taking part in the musical ride at the Pony Club Championships and won!

He’s incredibly easy to handle — the children bring him in, clip him, bath him; they can do absolutely everything with him. Fred currently lives on a busy dairy farm, so he’s completely used to all kinds of farm traffic and animals.

All my girls have ridden him, and he’s given my daughters so much confidence and fun along the way. Sadly, my daughter has now moved on to her sister’s pony, and Fred is far too lovely to be standing in the field going to waste.

He truly deserves a new little rider to love and enjoy him as much as we have. A wonderful, experienced pony who’s ready to make another child’s dreams come true.

Pumpkin really is a mother’s dream taking our daughter from being very nervous after a previously unsuitable pony to a confident rider taking part in all pony club activities, jumping up to around 70cm. Very little phases him, he is more woah than go, but once you know what buttons to press he can pull off a brilliant dressage test and is always fun and reliable at rallies.

He will never win the grand national so we trust him completely with our daughter in an open field, in company or alone. He has 3 lovely paces, much preferring his rocking horse canter to a gallop! He can be ridden every day or once a week and will not get silly.

Scoring 70% at area, this was the fourth year he has qualified for PC regional dressage championships, having also competed at area eventing and showjumping with his previous owner. We stayed over this year and he behaved impeccably all weekend, thoroughly enjoying his sleepover in the temporary stabling. He has attended multiple pc camps and is happy to turn his hoof to most things. A true pony club all rounder he took the title of Pony Club Pony for the second time this year at our local show and is rarely out of the ribbons.

He is a real character and absolute pleasure to have at home. Although renowned for pulling some ‘grumpy pumpy’ faces over the stable door it is all for show and he loves nothing more than a cuddle and some attention.

He is our daughter’s best friend, she can do everything with him herself, plait, bath, catch, load etc but her legs just won’t stop growing so reluctantly he now needs a new little dancing partner to look after as well as he has her.

Good to load, travel, shoe and clip, this is a heartbreaking sale 10* home only

Competed Showing at County level, both in hand and under saddle. Placed at the Great Yorkshire show M and M first ridden.

Jack has the beautiful paces typical of the Waxwing ponies and has been placed at Pony Club regional dressage for the past 3 years. Ideal BYRDS pony.

Jack is an experienced PC pony and has participated in numerous camps, musical rides, dressage qualifiers, rallies and Area Championships.

Jack is a super jumper and is a great working Hunter prospect. He has a lovely personality and is easy to do in all ways. He has no vices or lumps or bumps.

Jack would happily continue at county level showing or BYRDS but would equally step down a level to give a younger rider confidence and experience.

Very sadly outgrown by his current family
