BALLYLINAN 21 (“Frank”) 
BALLYLINAN 21, known on the yard as Frank – a big and gentle 4yro Irish bred bay gelding, standing at approximately 16.3hh. Frank is a big framed horse, a rangey, solid type with good bone and a lovely length of stride.
Arrived from Ireland at the start of 2025, Frank hasn’t been rushed, ridden early spring, turned away to enjoy the spring and early summer before coming back into work well participating in a range of activities and currently in work.
He has a wonderful, kind temperament and is genuinely easy in every way, Frank has made a great start to his education:
Flatwork- Frank schools politely and always tries his best. Schooling in a snaffle, he goes up the paces going well off the leg and has a soft mouth coming down into the correct contact.
Hacking and riding out - Regularly hacking in company, Frank is brilliant around other horses, never hot or silly. He hacks alone well and is fantastic in traffic, regularly riding out on narrow country lanes meeting bicycles and cars through to Lorries and tractors. He enjoys riding through bridleways and fields and is willing to go where asked.
Trail hunting and other activities:
Frank really enjoyed hound exercise through late summer and took to trail hunting delightfully in the autumn and recently. Proving to be good with hounds, standing at the meet and behaving well in the field. He is easy to load and travel, to or from places and able to come away from the other horses, always pleasing his rider. Has also been to arena hires and a local fun ride.
Frank is popular on the yard, always got his head over the door for a scratch. As a young horse, he’s at that lovely stage where he’s absorbing everything and will continue to gain confidence and experience with his new person. This offers a brilliant opportunity for someone to put their stamp on him and enjoy bringing on a quality, straightforward youngster.

Quality 16.2hh 4-year-old Irish Sports Horse gelding with outstanding breeding – by Cavalier Royale lines and Womanizer. A seriously exciting young horse with all the attributes to go far in eventing or show jumping.

He competed in the Burghley Young Event Horse class at Bramham, achieving one of the highest dressage scores and jumping clear show jumping. He has since been cross-country schooled, proving brave and confident with water, ditches, and skinnies.

In the showjumping ring, he is brave and careful, happily jumping even the scariest of fillers without looking, showing excellent technique and attitude. He has been slowly and correctly produced, giving him the time he needed to mature both physically and mentally.

Super, striking, scopey 16.2hh 6yr old bay gelding by Colandro out of an Obos Quality mare. Colandro himself is by the famous eventing stallion Contendro. His progeny have show jumped up to 1.65 and evented up to 4* long level

Rodney demonstrates exceptional elegance and flashy paces on the flat. He has three very correct gaits, with the ability to easily lengthen and shorten. He’s started lateral work and working on his changes. This guy is very keen and willing to please, with a character that loves to please.

He gives you a wonderful feel over a fence, proving to be scopey over show jumps and equally brave over cross country fences. Rodney has competed unaffiliated dressage, jumped clear British Show Jumping on a ticket and cross country schooled.

Genevieve has shown herself to be an adept allrounder with all three main disciplines.

She has evented (unaff) to 90 cm and show jumped to the same level but she still needs more confidence to excel. She would make a lovely Grassroots horse - she has however been concentrating on developing her dressage career.

She qualified for the BD Regional Finals at Prelim after only two outings with wins and second placings every timeout. At the Regionals she was placed in the top half of the silver section.

We anticipate that she can go forward at Novice in time for the next round of Regionals later this year.

Her temperament is sweet and affectionate and she needs a kindly and confident rider to encourage her. She has the forgiving temperament that would make her a good Para mount. Her tremendous walk would suit her well for Grade 1 tests.

Good in every way from the ground, she loads well and will happily stand in the lorry all day without fretting even when her mates are taken out or put in.

Good to shoe and clip (she loves it) she is easy to do in the stable.

Louie is one in a million who has so much class, quality and potential with the most amazing temperament to match. He is drop down gorgeous with striking dapples and stands out where ever he goes. He is a very well-bred ISH with some warmblood mixed in to give him even more quality, movement and jump. He is the perfect quality stamp of a horse. He is a very desirable type who would suit a wide audience of riders from teenagers coming off ponies, to adults alike. He has good conformation, is blemish free and straight movement.He is the full package to excel across all riding disciplines which makes him the perfect alrounder/eventer. He has the most amazing temperament and attitude making him a yard favourite.

Louie schools beautifully on the flat, he has a lovely relaxed way of going with very nice movement. He has three good paces, his walk really swings through the shoulder with a big over track, his trot is active and rhythmical and his canter is uphill with a lot of scope. He is soft in the hand and works very nicely up to the contact in a lovely outline. He is ridden in a snaffle for every discipline. He is nicely forward going to ride and responsive to the riders aids. He is very straight forward in the sense that you don't have to do much, he does it all for you. He is not a novice ride as he deserves a rider with some experience and feel to reach is potential. He is schooling preliminary/novice level and does some leg yielding. He has competed successfully at unaffiliated preliminary level dressage with his previous owner and was placed with high 60 percent scores. He is more than ready to affiliate and work his way through the levels BD. He has so much potential and the right brain as he wants to do the job.

Louie loves his jumping and makes a nice scopey shape. He is nicely forward going into a fence and is very honest and genuine to jump. He is very bold and jumps all fillers and water trays first attempt confidently. He knows his job well and will go on a short or long stride and help his rider out. He is very ridable around a course of fences. He has competed successfully at unaffiliated sj up to 100cm with ease with his previous owner. He has scope to jump higher tracks but hasn't been rushed or over fased. He would also excel at riding club level and be perfect to take on jumping clinis ect. He would be the perfect step up from ponies for a competent teen.

Louie is equally as bold over xc jumps. He is a real xc machine, point and aim type who is very genuine. He really enjoys going xc and has plenty of pace to make the time at events. He jumps everything asked of him including ditches and water complexes. He is a very straight forward ride and takes his rider into the fences nice and confidently. He really gives his rider confidence as he is very genuine and loves his jumping and doesn't get strong or silly. He has done lots of xc schooling and hunter trails. He has so much potential to excel as an eventer as he is very good at all 3 disciplines and has a very ground covering gallop where he would easily make the xc time. I can see him making a fabulous grass roots eventer as well as being very competitive up through the levels.

Louie is good to hack both alone and in company. He is good in general day to day traffic, if a lorry or tractor come we turn him into a gateway where he stands nicely and waits for it to pass as he hasn't seen much larger traffic. He is sensible in open spaces and enjoys a good canter through a stubble field or along a nice grass track. He will happily lead or follow and gives his rider a lovely ride. Louie has also hunted in Ireland where he was a star so he would make a super hunter also.

Louie has a great kind temperament. He puts a smile on your face every day. He loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend. He is always good to catch and lead in. He loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. He is very easy to handle in all ways. He lives in and out and is happy be turned out next to or in with other horses.
