Sad sale of much-loved family horse Elvis

Elvis is a striking 16.3hh 9yo TB gelding by Fame and Glory, bought from a top racing yard. Lack of jockey forces sale.

Same home last 3 years. Raced in P2Ps by the brother, evented by the sister – he's been in an experienced family home and done a bit of everything! Very willing attitude to life and aquick learner, loves his work. Would happily spend hours hacking or being brushed.

A really personable horse who really loves being ridden! He is often ridden leading 2 other horses off him, dogs following in behind - not much bothers him. Happily ridden by 3 generations and easy to handle on the ground. Snaffle mouthed.

Elvis has done a bit of everything, eventing, clinics, PC rallies, hunter trials, arena eventing, SJ, and has hunted. He has a lot of scope and would easily be capable of jumping around much bigger tracks, but due to a lack of time we haven’t been able move him up without rushing. He has schooled over all natural obstacles including ditches, steps & water and skinnies/brushes are no issue.

- Completed ODEs (80cm), Hunter Trials (90cm)
- Schooled XC to 1m, hunted, clinics, Pony Club
- Moves beautifully – loads of presence, flashy, traditional stamp
- Still eligible to race if desired – or ROR eligible
- Good to clip, shoe, catch, load etc. – easy to have around
- Hacks alone & in company, not fussed by heavy traffic or even farm machinery

Would suit a confident rider to have fun with, as he came off the track, he would not be suitable for a novice rider. He has not lived alone before and enjoys the company of other horses when stabled or in the field.

Price is ONO and offers considered - finding the right home is important. More pictures and videos available upon request.

Lola is a super versatile 6yo mare standing at 16.1hh. She retired sound from racing last summer and has taken to retraining like a duck to water. Since starting her ridden work in January of this year, she’s been to arena hires, fun rides, xc schooling and both dressage and jumping shows where she’s behaved nothing but impeccably.

She is good to do in every sense, will load onto a lorry or trailer and has no vices. She is an easy forward going ride, hacks out alone or in company un phased by traffic and has been ridden by everyone at home.

Currently up to date with everything. Will be sad to see her go but with my old boy coming home I don’t have the time or space for another. Open to viewings and vettings, no trials or payment plans.

Stitch has three correct uphill paces and a great attitude to his work.

Hacks alone and in company with no issues.

Has been xc schooling and proved very honest and genuine to a variety of fences.

Also been out showjumping on grass and various pole work clinics and again very straightforward and genuine.

Due to change with work commitments I can no longer do him justice he deserves. A truly handsome boy with a lovely personality! He will go far in the right hands.

He will stand out in any arena - he will turn heads

A very good doer and strong type thoroughbred.

Hacks out alone or in company

Has completed fun rides

Good in open spaces - he rides alone on an open hill

Good with farrier, loads, good to catch - will come to call. Good to tack and loves to be fussed.

Stills needs work in the school, proving nice on the flat and loves his pole work however he hasn’t done much jumping.

The video below was him a few days ago (message for video) - however that is the last time he will be in work as I do not have the time to ride him. So sold from field.

No health issues

He lives in or out

Up to date with wormers and vaccines

No novices / beginners - he is an ex-race horse. He just needs consistency.

Must be good to hack alone & in traffic, polite on the ground & good to catch, clip shoe etc. would live at home with my other 2 horses who have access to grass during the day & good size all weather turnout with field shelters overnight, I have stables if weather is very bad.

Buck has run under rules and PTP but unfortunately was too slow. He retired from racing sound and injury free. He is now thriving with a career change and is really enjoying learning his new job. He is already beginning to look very smart on the flat and has a scopey and careful jump. He is currently being professionally re schooled and is very quickly showing a lot of promise for eventing or would be an ideal candidate for ROR showing classes.

He’d be perfect to aim for the ROR class at Cornbury with £45k prize fund!

He has been Xc schooled including ditches, water, steps and skinnies. He is good to do in all ways, hacks out alone and in company and has quickly become a yard favourite

Sale is very sad, due to move I can’t take him with me otherwise I would not part with him.

Forever home only please. An absolute saint with manners to die for. Great in all traffic. Hacks out alone or in company. Up and down fells and in open fields. He is forward but sensible.

Loads and travels like a dream. Has just been doing low level work the last two years due to lack of time after my business grew. We have competed in DR and showing. He loves to jump (I think I’m rubbish at it so don’t do much) we’ve done Somerford Camp and Richmond XC and fun rides, even a GB Endurance ride!

He would be brilliant in the ex-race horse veterans classes now. In his previous home he was evented and hunted after coming out of racing by a professional rider. You can even ride and lead on him, he really is a star. I’ve hacked him out in just a head collar when I fancy it. Isn’t that fussed about cuddles and kisses. Currently lives out. Has been stabled with me at times too. Up to date with teeth and vaccs. Will have to go with his full wardrobe.

If you have also perhaps been there and done it but now looking for a no-fuss horse and can see beyond his age and breed on paper then please send me a message.

PERFECT ALLROUNDER

Beautiful example of a TB gelding excellent mover and jumps nicely ROR eligible (ex hurdler)

This chap is seriously quality and a rare type of TB you don’t see many of his quality and calibre on the market. He is a lovely type and would excel ROR showing or dressage. Very sane and sensible type, ideal for a novice who wants a straightforward horse to enjoy.

Superb mover straight and would make a top class ROR showing or Dressage prospect, he jumps nicely up to 80cm horse for a competent amateur rider who wants fun and safety!

Works beautifully in the arena in a consistent outline, working prelim/novice level dressage at the moment would easily produce to elementary. Jumps sensibly , takes you to a fence and knows his job, not strong sharp or silly.

Hacks out perfectly, traffic, open spaces alone or in company a real gentleman.

Based in Northumberland and open to viewing or vetting this guy won’t stay around long so get in quick.

Ash is a great example of a solid thoroughbred. Don’t let his age put you off, has relatively low mileage out of racing and no one told him he’s 16!

Ex P2P, he loves to jump and also has lovely paces qualifying for RoR Dressage champs in only 3 outings.

Has competed SJ, HT, ODE 80cm but could go further in right hands. Foot perfect at camp this month taking on technical combinations and bigger jumps with ease.

Great to catch, clip, load etc but doesn’t like a fuss… a tack up and go type.

Hunted in previous home, he would also make great team chaser.

Hacks alone but prefers company, likes to be up front but goes last.. might just get a jigjog on.

Ash would excel in a busy yard with routine and herd turnout. Currently out in summer, in at night over winter. He would stay out 24/7 as winters well.

Recently scoped and ulcers treated so tummy is all good!

Up to date with teeth, vaccs, physio etc

Saddle new for him last year under separate negotiation.

Rising 8, 17.3 grey gelding. We brought Kenbee at the end of 2022 with the view to re train him to event.

He came on very nicely with slow and correct work in place. He has 3 beautiful paces with a bold clean jump.

He has competed at BE90 twice in the 2024 season. In his first ever event he came away with a lovely test, a couple of rider mistake poles and a clear xc. He behaved impeccably!

He’s also been out to dressage competitions again where he was foot perfect.

He will jump anything you put infront of him giving you a really confident feel underneath.

He is snaffle mouthed for everything, hacks alone and in company. He has escorted children’s hacks at home, taking the lead and staying at the back.

Very kind nature, is handled by young kids and novice adults on the ground.

He is however a competition horse and I would like him to go to a competitive home whether that be eventing, show jumping or dressage.

The decision to sell Kenbee has not come easily but I decided to go travelling middle of 2024 and am now not returning home anytime soon and he cannot be wasted hence his sale!

Whilst I’ve been away my mum and sister have been schooling him regularly so he is ready for someone to take on and carry on producing him.

He is turned out in a mixed herd, easy to catch, clip, shoe, load, travel, worm, vet .. the list goes on.

Meet Bond - The time has come to find my Bond his new forever home. Bond has such a lovely kind temperament and is just a really lovely horse to have around.

Bond is currently out of work due to Joe fault of his own. When in full work he work’s beautifully and gives his rider a nice feeling. He’s mostly just hacked in his time with me, hacks alone and in company, good with traffic. Hasn’t done any jumping with me other than the odd log out hacking. He started coming back into work at the start of the year but due to his rider having a non horse related injury his work stopped. I’ve started longreining him out and done some lunging but I’m too heavy to ride him (14stone). He likes a nice lightweight rider.

Injury and vice free, up to date with all his vaccinations, teeth and feet. He has a couple of small flat sarcoids, one on his face and stifle, these have never grown and I’m treating them with a natural healing balm which had great results with my other horse. Good to load and travel, you’d forget he’s even in the box.

Petersfield based. Please no timewasters, no loans/plans, tack and rugs not included. He’s a bargain for how talented he is!

This is a very hard sale so please no timewasters or people looking for a chat. He will only go to the best home and I won’t sell him unseen. Serious inquiries only.

Forever home, no dealers. References required.

Picture from last summer, I will get some updated ones but he looks just as well now.

VERB (registered name - Verbitude)

16.3 approx, 10 year old gelding.
Sire - VOCALISED
Dam - BRING BACK MATRON

Been there, seen it, done it.

Verb is a gorgeous all-rounder. He has a super attitude to life, happy temperament, and great ridability.
He has spent the past 4 years with a teenager who has done a super job producing him. He is well schooled with 3 balanced, established paces and just loves to jump! He has been there done it- camp, clinics, competing etc.

He is easy to handle and have around. This is a very sad sale due to a rider injury (not related to him!).

He has previously raced making him ROR eligible.

He is a smart, chunky type of blood horse (you would more expect him to be ISH bred) who loves XC and has never said no!
If you are looking for fun he is your man. He is a great grassroots/ RC/ PC contender.

This horse loves life and human interaction. Looking for his next best friend to do life with.

Had a successful wind op in 2019.

Open to any trainer or vetting. Sold on behalf of his owner.

Super guy, straightforward at home, on the ground, travels well, easy to clip, box, shoe etc. Safe in traffic. Stables alone too.

Hunted end of 2022 season and full 2023/2024 season, out usually once a week, or fortnight depending on my work. Hedges, ditches, water, timber all super easy for him. I've taken him into hedges on my own, if I've got behind gate shutting, or he'll happily be tucked in behind the field master.

He'd be a super team chaser, or fun competition horse / fun hunter / or just a lovely horse for allrounder stuff with knowledge that he has scope.

Racing history known; privately owned by a young man, p2p as his main horse, then I bought him when he went to join the army.

Priced to sell as I live in London and have little time over the summer. He's in light work and recently been XC schooling with a friend of mine, so he's ready for someone to get comfortable with over the summer and prepare for a fab hunting season if desired!

He had a minor leg injury which he recovered fully sound from *before* I bought him, he could have gone back into racing, but the guy that raced him, then went and joined the Army. I knew of him through friends, hence he then came to me for his next chapter - hunting life! However I have never had any issues or signs of an issue; no heat or swelling and he's hunted 2.5 seasons in very tough, wet and deep country with the Blackmore Vale. Hence this is also considered in his price, as despite being sound he wouldn't pass a vetting, due to prior injury. But I personally have never had a lameness or any issue with him.

Genuine sale, as I'm looking to find him a lovely home and reduce responsibility in Dorset due to work in London and abroad; I have almost no time in the spring/summer and taken on some new work, so next season I will have less time to hunt. He's in work with part-time help, but it's expensive and I need to reduce costs.

Location: North Dorset, NR Shaftesbury. Price negotiable to right home for straightforward and happy sale. NO time wasters, or anyone seeking a day-out. Videos show his ability, and he's a lovely horse, so no-nonsense please! Would sell for 10K+ if I had more time. A good and rare honest sale for such a quality horse.

For sale from a private genuine loving home, a pretty and sweet natured 15.2-15.3hh 15 y.o very well bred Weatherby's National Hunt ex racehorse Thoroughbred mare who has been a mum for the last 6 years of her life.

I may consider loaning her f she was kept in West Sussex

Now needs a new experienced home either as a proven broodmare or could be brought back into work with the right person. She did race, just didn't like it so she is ROR eligible.

She apparently did do a bit of show jumping and cross country in-between racing and being a mum before her current home where she has just been a broodmare for the last few years.

A video of her jumping hurdles can be seen in this advert below the description.

She would also make a nice natural horsemanship project or do some fun horse agility with.

She has been an incredible broodmare producing outstanding wonderful natured and strongly built offspring. Has taken first time both naturally and via AI. Foals easily and is a great mum, just knows her job well.

She is a very good do-er with no health issues and good feet. Upto date with vaccines, teeth rasped every year and is on a worming programme with consistantly clear worm counts.

She is used to being with mares and geldings but is scared of being bullied so needs quieter companions.

She is good to handle and transport.

Will only go to a 5 star loving and caring home with proper experience and knowledge of ex racehorse thoroughbreds!

Please message me with any questions

This talented young horse is showing all the qualities of a future star. Having only just started his eventing career this season, he’s taken everything in stride – placing 2nd at his very first outing at Moreton and finishing 9th on his debut at 90cm.

On the flat, he displays lovely, expressive movement and a soft, responsive mouth. He’s a quick learner, already confidently working through lateral movements and offering a promising medium trot.

A natural jumper with scope to spare, he absolutely loves his jumping. He’s bold and straightforward across country, happily taking on everything he’s pointed at. He’s incredibly careful in the showjumping ring, just one pole down across four events. Always ridden in a snaffle, he’s light and responsive in all three phases.

He hacks out alone or in company, is sensible in traffic, and is neither strong nor silly.

On the ground, he is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Because of past treatment he can be nervous with new people ,because of this he will need an experienced and kind home where he can continue to gain confidence and trust.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone looking to produce a talented horse, 5 star home essential.

Freddie schools very nicely, has three lovely paces and also produces a lovely dressage test. He loves to hack, is great in traffic and enjoys a good gallop when given the opportunity. Would be a great fun ride horse as he behaves beautifully around other horses.

In Freddie's early years he was a racehorse, he has also previously competed in eventing and more recently he has competed in dressage, and been schooling up to 90cm.

Freddie is amazing for the farrier, he always loads straight away and is very good to catch. He is sedated when he is clipped due to him being twitchy. He is always ridden in a snaffle and is never strong or silly and is very safe and reliable.

We have recently had Freddie treated for possible arthritis in his hind hocks, so far with positive results. Freddie was treated successfully for stomach ulcers over 18 months ago and has had no issues since in this regard.

Where Freddie goes is very important as he is a very special. He will need the option to live in and out and ideally with the company of other horses.

We have made the sad decision to sell because my daughter wants to continue to progress with competing in show jumping and wants to push to bigger heights.

He would suit someone who would like to compete in dressage, hack, do low level jumping or enter ROR.
