Bailey is a real yard favourite with his lovely temperament and is so easy to do. He’s a proper schoolmaster who I know would excel in any sphere, he’s super straightforward.

He has jumped to Newcomers-110cm and still the points for all the novice/discovery 2nd rounds, which he’d be an excellent contender in as he is good in a jump off but knows where to put his feet. He’s been lightly competed over the last 1.5yrs as we’ve done a bit of everything with him.

He hacks alone or in company, can go first or last and never gets strong or silly. He’s been xc schooling and was great. Bailey can drop down for more novice/amateur riders and you can pick him back up when you want, so he is suitable and enjoyable for any rider.

He’s good to catch, box, travel, etc and generally is a pleasure to have on the yard. He’s a one you struggle to find, as he has the talent but with the temperament to match.

Open to any vetting.

OCHELLA (Iniesta TN X French Buffet)
17 hands 6 year old KWPN mare.
Currently Jumping Newcomers and Foxhunter.
With International results in 6 year old classes this year in Oliva Nova (Spain). Winning her last class out in Spain April 2025.

She’s a modern quality horse with plenty of blood but also a fantastic temperament which also makes her suitable for an amateur rider as she’s super brave, honest and careful.

Absolutely loves jumping and is a keen forward but safe ride. Great to hack alone and in company.

A very friendly kind mare that has a fantastic temperament and always wants to please. Good flatwork, with nice pleasing paces.

Definitely suitable for someone wanting to progress up the levels.
Change of circumstances and being overstocked hence being sold. Very reasonably priced for a horse of this quality.

16 hand 9yo grey mare with loads of blood. This little mare has a super technique and masses of ability but will only go to the right home.

Extremely low mileage for no fault of her own but ready to take on the world with confident, competent jockey. Has been with me to produce whilst owner/breeder was having a baby but owners lack of time now forces sad sale of this much loved little horse.
She went to a stay away show at Wales and West and jumped three double clears on a ticket. The plan was to keep campaigning her up the levels as definitely has tonnes of talent.

The good bits: fun, forward thinking with a huge jump and wants to please. A real sweetheart in the stable- loves a cuddle. Full history known and a very reasonable price for a horse of this quality. Very low mileage and a sound type.

The bad bits: Traffic shy so would suit someone who doesn’t hack on roads. Can take 10 mins to load but always goes in and travels well. Fractured her withers three years ago but has never caused a problem since. In fact she’s done more since than she had done before. Open to any vetting

Doug is a super fun all-rounder who’s now ready to find his next home! He’s been in the same home since he was a 4-year-old and has turned his hoof to a bit of everything — including dressage competitions, clinics, fun rides, and show jumping/cross country schooling.

He’s a forward-thinking ride with plenty of life in him, so would suit a confident rider looking for a versatile partner to enjoy a varied lifestyle. Doug would make a fantastic Pony Club or Riding Club horse for someone who enjoys a horse with personality and presence.

Doug is a much-loved horse, so finding the right home is a priority — one where he’ll be enjoyed, well cared for, and part of the family.

Luna - Stunning 16.2 black warmblood mare 10yrs with class breeding and a beautiful temperament to match

Luna is the perfect allrounder, fun type who would suit pretty much anyone or any job, she would easily affiliate as a dressage horse or a show jumper

Shes a kind genuine horse whom has been completely unspoilt with plenty of experience, shes been cross country where she proved to be bold and confident, she jumps coloured fences and has ample scope she is equally happy to trot over cross poles for a less confident rider and will definitely take care of them;

Luna is an easy ride, leg on and not sharp / sensitive- more whoa than go….

She will go out hacking alone and in company, unbothered by what she may meet on the road and super safe sane and sensible in open spaces.

Shes easy to have in the yard, turns out with others and will happily stand in without making a fuss

Shes a very classy lady for someone who wants to look the part but have an easy ride.

Shes been in the same home with her breeder whom had hoped her eldest daughter would keep her but she is completely wasted as she just wants a happy hack

She wasnt broken until 7 due to her owner being in no rush as was never the intention to sell her

Ridden by men / children and women, snaffle mouthed at all times

Currently based on a friends yard for her teenager daughter to enjoy and have fun on

An incredibly difficult sale of a once in a lifetime horse.

Jet has taken me from jumping 1.10 on ponies to taking me around my first 1.45 in the space of 3 years. He has truly been the perfect partner for me, teaching me the ropes of the top end of the sport whilst always staying honest, genuine and brave, filling me with confidence with every round.

Jet has jumped internationally up to 1.45 and we are planning on stepping him up to 1.50 level nationally this summer. He has numerous placings at 1.35/140 level both nationally and internationally with me a very much amateur rider!

Jet is the most genuine horse I’ve ever had the pleasure of sitting on, he is always willing to jump from wherever I ask him to. He has saved me multiple times, with a smile on his face doing so! His bravery and honesty is something that he maintains whether he is jumping a 1.20 or 1.45. Making him a fantastic confidence giver.

At home and out of the ring he is just as much of a gentleman. He is easy to handle/do in all ways. He is loved by everyone who handles/knows him.

We have had the pleasure of owning Jet for nearly 4 years and his full history is known.
I truly believe that Jet is the blueprint for someone wanting the perfect first horse for a young rider wanting to learn about the top level of the sport. Equally Jet would be a valuable and reliable asset to a professionals string.

Only reason for such a reluctant sale is I am no longer able to maintain a horse at Jets competitive level due to being at university 2 hours away from home.

All homes will be vetted, please only serious enquiries, a substantial budget is required.

VELMA 2011 full up 16.2hh. 2011 mare.

Competed by an 11 year old Kobi, 13 year old Phoebe and jumped with professional.

We have known Velma for ever , she evented up to 4* and show jumped with up to 130 , she was then sold to a family that is based with by best friend for over 20 years, their daughter evented her up to 2* , they have decided to take a little step step back from eventing and only keep there 4/5* horses so Velma came up for sale and we snapped her up after them asking us to show jump her.

Velma would have made the COH teams but sadly my daughter broke her collar bone 3 weeks before the trial although we did go to the trail, we took the owners horse rather than our own, as we thought, two rounds a day was too much on a fresh collarbone break and kept the owners happy . There is no doubt in my mind Velma is a teams COH horse , she will take a miss and a real confidence giver, she is so well schooled on the flat she would teach any young child the ropes, auto changes, snaffle mouth, in the ring we have jumped her in a 2 ring gag.

Super safe in open feilds and hacking, she doesn’t need riding every day and not fresh from the stable . Her only thing is she needs to be lead to and from the feild in a chiffney.

She has lots of wins from 110 -115 and 120s, she has all the clears for the newcomers and fox second rounds for this year, she is a very lovely lady to have around and we owe a lot to Velma she has been so much fun and as taught my daughter soooo much and she will take this on to her next chapter

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Deep seeking my nxt best friend. 14.2 up 16h really as I cant get on big ones!

If 14.2hh it MUST be full up without a short choppy stride.

Pref an older or atleast “been there type“ with lots of experience to get my confidence bk enjoying a bit of jumping (only 70-80& rc clinics), lots of forest hacking at home.

Exp private home in E.Sussex / Kent on beautiful private farm. I'm a petite adult with yrs of competition exp & just want to get something that is genuine to enjoy. Nice easy ride with zero quirks, .Spook fine out hacking but no bucking, spins or rears or bolting.
I’d say more of a leg on rather than pull but equally not a plod.
Easy to load alone & happy waiting around at clinics without any drama. No getting buzzy
Minor health issues are fine if disclosed. Poss a failed vetting?MUST hack alone & CALM in comp without dramas. We meet dogs & push bikes in forest here so must be genuine & safe though not wanting a plod & nothing too heavy as I am petite.

Im very exp& use to compete a lot but now just wanting a kind, easy type to enjoy at home with my older boy. Not wanting to compete very much at all just fun rides& Rc clinics& low level jumping occasionally.
..I don’t own a school here so im not into endless circles, quite the opp, hence needing something who knows it job. Have stables & land at home with other horses as field mates.

Home for life- Ex vet nurse& has had Equines all my life(.

15.3hh eye catching dun supercob!

He’s the best mix of steady and safe but fun!

He is the sweetest natured boy and has a fan club already!

He is a dream to handle on a day to day basis, good to lead to the field, catch, tack up and wash off, he is good with other horses, dogs and children.

He has super correct and fluent paces and would ride a lovely test or would take the county show scene by storm!

He has hunted and been used for trecking, he’s brilliant over all natural jumps including water and ditches and isn’t phased by anything . He’s as safe as you could get to hack alone or in company and happy to leave the others if needed.

He isn’t spooky and is good with all sorts of traffic. He has done some low level show jumping and is happy to turn his hoof to anything .can be ridden daily or weekly and doesn’t alter his calm quiet way of going.

Good to load, trailer or lorry, shoe, clip, and is in general a delight to have around. No vices and totally clean limbed.

He really is a rare find.

For Sale – Kind, Experienced Schoolmaster 15.3hh Thoroughbred Gelding (ROR)

Due to a change in career and lack of time, we are sadly offering our beloved Ben for sale. With my daughter now focusing on competitive riding, I need to devote what time I have to supporting her journey—making this a very difficult and heartfelt decision for our whole family.

Ben is a 15-year-old, 15.3hh TB gelding (ROR eligible) with a gentle nature and a willing heart. He has been a joy to own—kind, safe, and full of personality. Vaccinations, wormed and dental all up to date.

Disciplines: Primarily done flatwork and hacking with us, but Ben is a quick learner and has done show jumping and XC in his previous home. More videos available.
Temperament: Excellent manners both in the field and on the ground. He’s a pleasure to handle and has been a trusted partner in and out of the saddle.
Hacking: Confident to hack both alone and in company.
Routine: Lives out 24/7 currently, with the occasional stabling during the day when it's hot. He must have company both in the field and stable—as is typical of ex-racers, he does not enjoy being alone. He has a strong bond with his current 12.2hh stable mate.
Extras: fully Shod, Comes with full tack and a full wardrobe of rugs.
Home Requirements: Needs a knowledgeable, kind home specifically having owned a TB previously and where his need for companionship is respected. He must be first out and last in, but he is otherwise low maintenance and adaptable as long as he has friends nearby.

Located Northamptonshire

Please—no time wasters. This is a much-loved family horse and his next home must be the right one. Viewings welcome to the right people. Homes will be vetted and references may be required.

Volante Libero is a 14 year old homebred gelding that is sadly wasted at present. He has a lot more to give and deserves to find a home that has the time for him.

He is very well schooled and has numerous wins and placings up to Medium both BD and Di.

He has also showjumped up to 1.10 and again has numerous wins and placings both BS and SJI.

He is a gentleman out hacking and has been happily hacked by my mum. He is always the one I put a friend on when they come for a hack with me.

Little Man as we know him at Home is good as gold to handle and ride but he does stable guard and bite over the stable door.  He would prefer to live on a quiet yard without huge foot fall past his door hence price.
