Ollie - 18 years old, 16 3hh Holstein gelding, handsome bay.

Looking for a quieter life, so not looking for a home to do lots of competing, but for someone to ride for pleasure, school, jump at home, hack.

We’ve had Ollie since 2019
Ollie is a lovely horse to ride, not a plod but very safe, steady & unspooky, not at all sharp
Lovely mover
Never gets fresh, he could have 3 weeks off and come out the same, kept in or turned out makes no difference
Used to be ridden by two teenage girls, and has been ridden by a variety of people of varying abilities as on the yard he’s the go to horse for people to borrow when their own horses are out of work
Good to hack, better in company but will hack alone
Easy to handle
No vices
Good doer, could live in or out
Perfect to clip, shoe and load

Can try to nap if he thinks he’ll get away with it, happy to discuss in full with anyone interested

Ollie has some dental pathology which currently only needs monitoring, his dentals are 6 monthly

Happy to share all clinical history since 2019 when we got him.

I’m only selling Ollie to a loving home. I’ve lost my motivation this year due to various things, and he’s been really left by the wayside. He has years of activity left and deserves to have someone to have fun with and who’ll fuss over him and love him, he’s a good boy.

Please WhatsApp for videos.

Black Hanoverian mare 16yrs old.

Competed at National BD. F.SM championships, Riding club Championships, and Trailblazers Championships. Never out of the ribbons.

Eye catching paces, working towards elementary having established some lateral moves.

Hack alone or in company. Excellent in heavy traffic. Happy to hack in wide open spaces. Good to travel, load., farrier & vet. Up to date teeth and vaccinations.

Doesn't bother even when fit if left off work couples days/weeks comes back same all the time. Literally is one in a million.

Has done fun rides, can jump but I don't.

Only on market to an exceptional home, very heartbreaking sale but my body is knackered and she's wasted.

Not fit currently as only hacking out couple times a week. Will wind suck after a feed. Both this is reflected in her asking price.

She will come with rugs and bridle. Kent and Master dual purpose and Fairfax dressage saddle also available under separate negotiation.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Unfortunately looking for a new home due to the riders current commitments. Aline has won more 1.20s-1.30s than you can count and jumped up to1.35s successfully.

Owned by the same family for most of her life, she has taken the daughter from pony club to jumping the top national tracks in their home country and ranking as one of the best juniors nationally. As they were aware she was impossible to replace, bought her over for the daughters last few years of uni to enjoy her.

Aline measures at 15.2 but has a big stride and loves to travel forwards, eating up distance with plenty of scope too. As honest as they come with as much competitiveness as the rider on top.

“Super easy to work with on the ground and ridden, lovely personality, absolutely loves jumping, she gave me all the confidence in the world”.

Very well schooled , a very nice hot horse but can also be extremely calm when wanted , so for jump offs she’s incredible ,easy to hack wash shoe and clip, a great great horse.

  • Showjumper

For sale - 17.2hh, gelding, Irish sports horse, Landgraf 1 bloodlines, 19 years old.

Please do not let age put you off Roo. He is just as energetic as he was as a 5 year old! To ride he has a very scopy jump and has previously affiliated up to 1.30m. Many BS points, previously qualified Foxhunter second rounds.

He is strong so definitely not a novice ride. Having said that he has been successfully ridden and competed by a 5ft 2 female experienced rider. Doesn’t buck or rear. Makes a slight noise which goes away when fit. We don’t do a huge amount of road hacking but when he goes out he is unfazed by traffic etc.

On the ground he can pull faces especially at feed time but nothing that concerns us as he had never done anything further. He’s great to catch, tack up, handle etc. but needs to be sedated to clip.

Happily lives out in the summer. He’s not in a huge amount of work due to lack of time but will happily show him ridden.

ULTIMATE RC / PC HORSE

  • Super easy to deal with, can be left for weeks and doesn’t hot up!

Very tentatively up for sale due to him deserving to have someone to have fun with!

Jack, 15.2hh, 16 year old gelding

The ultimate allrounder!

I’ve had jack for the last 7 years & this is an incredibly hard sale but ultimately I want the best for him and currently cannot give him that.

Jack is an incredibly kind horse that will give everything a go with a smile on his face ive jumped him BS to 105, evented to 100 & took him team chasing where the thrived. Not typically a strong horse he was stronger team chasing and would definitely want some different brakes for next time! However he truly shined doing this! I’ve jumped him thousands of time in a plain snaffle occasionally swapping for a universal.

Sweet on the flat but this is definitely his weakest phase. Very brave cross country and not fussed by fillers/water trays etc.

While Jack has jumped some tricky tracks I believe now he’d be better suited to someone to have fun on and stick to things up to 95, however he is always up for a hedge!

Good bits:

  • Currently barefoot and doing well, but is good to shoe
  • Good to load
  • Good to bath
  • The easiest horse you’ll ever handle!
  • Can leave him for weeks and get back on with no bother at all

Does have a few little quirks but nothing that causes massive strain or is difficult to deal with.

He is forward off the leg but does have brakes, soft & quiet riders only please. While he’s good he is NOT suitable for a complete novice.

Up to date with vaccines / teeth / physio.

6.5k ono to include all his things other than jump saddle due to that being shared with my other horse, he does have a dressage saddle.

Please no time wasters as this is hard enough as it is! Lots more photos/ videos available upon request

16.1hh 2008 KWPN gelding by Cardento out of a Voltaire mare.

Very safe, forward ride with good brakes. Really smart on the flat with lovely showy paces. Snaffle mouthed but more woah than go. Would be a really smart contender in some veteran classes!

Hacks alone and in company.

LOVES his jumping. Pocket rocket type to jump, never says no, goes off any stride but is strong to jump and therefore not suitable for a novice(to jump) - as such, to a novice/less experienced rider, I am selling him more as an all-rounder / dressage / showing horse rather than a showjumper. For an experienced rider wanting a showjumper he would happily go out and do a Discovery tomorrow with plenty of scope for more/higher!

Good to do in all ways - easy on the ground, good for farrier, good to clip, good to load, stands to be mounted.

Does not require any injections to keep him sound, and never stiff so I doubt he'd need any for a while! (he's keen and happy to crack on as soon as you get on). Has 3/4 pea sized melanomas under his tail which is pretty standard for an older grey horse.

No splints, lumps, bumps, or sarcoids.

Selling due to my other horse acquiring a very large vet bill.

Queensdown Safari, aka Leo. Welsh X New Forest 2010 Gelding.

If unicorns existed Leo is the closest you would get, he is genuinely a legend. He loads and travels as quiet as a mouse in anything. Perfect for the farrier, dentist, vet, physio & to clip ( you don't even need a head collar on). Lives either in or out with mares and geldings. No stables vices at all and he has never reared, bolted, bitten or kicked. Leo hacks alone or in company. He has won numerous local shows and dressage competitions, he could do a family pony on the Saturday & get a decent % in Elementary on the Sunday. He is over stamped with CHAPS & TGCA and a life height certificate.

The dressage points he has accrued has been achieved in just under two years - 96 Prelim, 88 Novice & 8 Elementary - 192 points. Here are just a few of the competitions he has been selected for:

- Prelim Bronze Area Festival Finals
- Area Festival Finals at Hartpury
- Senior Inter Regional Teams X 4
- Area Festivals at Novice
- Area Regionals at Prelim Silver
- Kent Teams
- Associated Championship Prelim Silver
- Senior Home International Team

Also he has been very successful in Ridden Showing at County Level Winning Part Bred Traditional & Coloured Classes and too many local wins to list!

Leo is very clever, loves to learn, loves to show off and loves to please. The best home only as little horses like him don't come around very often. His next home will need to be one that will keep his brain active and continue with his potential. He will not just go to a happy hacking home and he is NOT for novices. He will be an awesome candidate for veterans in a couple of years and possible HOYS potential. No loans, no LWVTB and no payment plans so please do not ask. He will come with his fully fitted dressage saddle & bridle.

Please call on 07850 416178 any reasonable time.

Looking for a straight forward, sensible Gelding 15-16hh, ID x TB/Sports Horse/Small TB Type (no Heavy/Cobs), for a private home/yard in Rural Norfolk countryside. Forever home offered to the right horse; MUST be happy living with just one other (laid back pony) and MUST be happy Hacking and Traveling on its own/easy to deal with at events as I am usually on my own. Looking for something that has an 'independent brain' and doesn't suffer from separation anxiety. Would live out with access to shelter and/or a stable (would be clipped and fully rugged). Lovely set-up with Pygmy Goats, chickens, dogs, etc. (Not a busy/buzzy Yard).

Would like to find the right horse for Hacking, Pleasure Competition, Clinics, Lessons, etc (no Hunting) and capable of jumping happily around 70/80cms (or possibly 90cm but not too fussed!).

Would suit a Horse that needs a quieter life/down-grade (would NOT be over-worked!) or something that is being wasted in the field. Would consider a possible purchase but would be with a limited budget.

Happy to consider older horses or those with minor/manageable Health conditions, providing they are disclosed.

References available from Vet, Farrier, Equine Dentist, etc.

As close to East Anglia as possible, please!

All Responses will be replied to. Thank You.

Just a lovely horse by Sunny Boy / Sandro Hit lines.Nicely put together, show quality and he has that ‘look at me’ way about him but easy to ride.Naturally round and makes a good shape over fences.

Big overstep in the walk, elastic working, medium extended and collected trot, and a big canter you could sit on all day, off the leg and forward going. Mainly snaffle mouth and a continental bit for jumping.

Professionally produced as a youngster by Paul & Bobby Hayler.

I am looking for a 5* home that will take him out and he can go and have some fun. I have owned Jack for 14 years and he is a true gentleman. Manners to burn, loves people and going out competing, dressage, eventing and showjumping, affiliated/ unaffiliated . He has seen hounds and behaved impeccably and jumped everything put before him. Also competed by a teenager.Looks after you and he is safe, hence I have owned him for so many years as this type of horse is hard to find.

Happy to be in the stable or outdoors. Loves his food and does not get hot if not ridden regularly. Not competition fit right now due to me having an op. Currently ridden three times per week. Clean legs, no injuries and sound. No nasty habits, not keen on heavy traffic , big lorries so I ride out with another horse so always ridden out in company if going on main roads. Small country roads are more his thing. Easy clip, shoe, box catch,in from the field etc.Full wardrobe with Equipe dressage saddle and Prestige jump saddle included. Serious enquiries only please.
