Uno – A True Gentleman Looking for His Next Partner 
Uno is a stunning 17.2hh Selle Français gelding with impeccable breeding – by Nartago and out of a Kalou Du Levant mare. He’s every inch the gentle giant, with the talent and temperament to match.

Before joining our family, Uno competed at 1.30m–1.40m level in Ireland and France with a teenage rider, where he was consistently competitive. With us, he has been a once-in-a-lifetime horse for our daughter – taking her from ponies (a 12.2!) straight into horses with kindness, patience, and endless heart.

The Ultimate All-Rounder (But No Novice Ride)
Uno is bold, brave, and incredibly safe, but he is not a novice ride. He would excel in a competitive show jumping or hunting home with a confident and capable rider who can make the most of his scope and experience.

Our daughter hacks him alone for hours – he’s foot-perfect and always brings her home safely. He’s also lovely in company, and has done:

Cross country

Pony Club, Riding Club, Pleasure rides

And would make an outstanding hunt master’s horse – brave, careful, and beautifully mannered on the ground

Loads in to our wagon and travels like a dream and stands quietly all day. He turns out in a herd or on his own and is happy to be brought in first or last, he loves other horses and is a friendly chap.

What He’s Given Us
Uno has taken our daughter from 80cm to confidently jumping 1.10m courses. He’s brave and unfazed by fillers, water trays, open water, he’ll take on anything you point him at.

The Right Home
We feel it’s time for Uno to go back to doing what he loves jumping at a higher level with a more experienced rider, or becoming someone’s dream hunting partner. This is a very sad sale of a much loved family member, so 5* home is absolutely essential.

She is honest, reliable, and straightforward to ride, whether in the school or out hacking in open spaces she’s always in a snaffle. She could affiliate lower levels bs or do grassroots too!

Barbie has competed in unaffiliated dressage, showjumping, hunter trials, pony days, and hunts. Barbie is a sturdy, sweet-natured type with athletic ability, she may be better suited to a slightly more experienced rider rather than a complete novice as she works off the leg and has more engine than a true beginner would want, she never does any thing nasty in any way and is suitable fo a capable novice and will give confidence to a nervous rider.

She is a pleasure to hack alone or in company. unfazed by farm machinery, traffic, barking dogs, not spooky .

He loves to hack and hacks in a snaffle at home, will hack alone but mainly hacks in company, sweet to handle happy to load in a trailer and horse box and easy to handle for farrier, vet and clip.

Can jump easily and very genuine doesn't rush in or out and enjoys the variety.

He promises to be an outstanding talent for a confident rider, so please no nervious novis riders, Lorry is better suited to someone more confident. he has a lot of dressage potential and will be an outstanding horse and talent for the right rider. Equally he has a sweet jump and would also suit someone who jumps or events. Though he has not been trained in Jumping or eventing he loves variety and would thrive with the right training in these disciplines also.
