Davey is a stunning dapple grey mare with a black mane. She has a beautiful head, and is a well put together substantial model of a horse. She is 8yo and 15.3hh, she is perfect if you’re looking for a small horse but like to have plenty of length of neck and a good shoulder to have Infront of you!
Davey is well schooled on the flat, she is lovely down the rein and has an understanding of lateral work. She is the kind of horse you can really get your leg on and ride up to the bridle. She has a big swinging trot and a lovely armchair canter. She has been to UA dressage shows and is v good in the boards and rises to the occasion! She is a little horse with lots of presence, she really fills the eye.
Davey has attended pole clinics and is happy to work and focus in the school along side other horses. She has competed at UA one day events with a teenager (80), always posting a sweet dressage test and has been double clear. Davey has a lovely jump, she has been to sj shows, arena hires and xc schooling. She has proven to be careful over a pole, She can be a little looky at new fillers in the showjumping so for this reason would not be suitable for a total novice or a v nervous rider.
Davey is good to hack alone or in company. Alone she can be a little spooky, nothing overly dramatic and no nasties, but again this would make her not totally suitable for a total novice or a very nervous rider. She is v good in traffic, she has had artic Lorrie’s and tractors pass her and has been immaculately behaved.
She is not mareish to handle or to ride. She does not buck nap or rear. She does not spook horrendously, but typical of a competition horse she is not totally dead.
Davey has attended the Fernie fun ride, she was brilliantly behaved and not atall phased by other horses coming and going past. She is ridden in a snaffle.
She is good to load, travel, clip, shoe.
Davey has a full set of clean x rays and is available for any vet inspection. No vices, no health issues. Lovely mare who will excel in dressage/showing/eventing/hunting, an easy horse to have around the yard!
Does not come with tack.
Recently shod. Up to date with vaccinations, dentist, physio.
