We love a black cob and this guy is superb example!

16hh rising five years old gentlest of a cob with a beautiful nature.

Super straightforward carefully produced so far and hacking out alone and company, hasn’t been pushed and is ready for the next step.

Schools sweetly in the arena, snaffle mouthed, gentle and genuine and pops a course of fences.

XC schooled and attended some fun rides and training shows: super horse to produce on now through the winter

Kind and friendly nature on the floor, regular handled by all ages and abilities. Full history known and not been passed around or rushed.

  • Sadly looking for a new home due to owner giving up horses.
  • 15.2 HW Cob gelding, 9 years old.

Up to date with teeth & vaccinations. Has regular routine Osteo, physio, saddle fitting etc

Good to catch, bath, clip (twitch for legs and ears), load, travel etc

We've had Bugsy for 3 years where he has mostly hacked and hunted. He was bought for a petite lady Master to enjoy social days out hunting, and he does exactly that. He's a pleasure; goes in a snaffle, front middle or back. Keeps up but with a level head. Great with hounds. We've not jumped him (no need) and although not a thrusters horse, will get over a log etc in the way, if needed. Perfect through/over ditches.

Very sensible out hacking. We're based just off a busy High Street and he regularly rides through the town, completely unfazed by traffic. Rides under/over motorway bridges. Prefers to go in company, but will go alone with a confident rider. He is not silly in anyway, just not the bold, brave type that'll take you. We have no problems and he does regularly go on his own.

This summer, I decided to have a go at showing him, where he far exceeded expectations. Although unaffiliated, he went Super Supreme at the Sunshine Tour Championship (Hickstead) and had fantastic comments from all the judges and stewards, including one who judges cobs professionally. I expect he would do very well with someone keen on the showing circuits.

Has been to some unaffiliated dressage, coming home with scores of 70%+ at both Intro and Prelim level. Sure to climb the ladder with more work.

Loads and travels on trailer or lorry. Very easy to have out and about on your own. Will stand on the box waiting all day if needed.

He's generally a cheeky chappy, that's fun to have around. He is pretty easy to do in all ways, although I couldn't say what he would be like for a novice, as he's only ever been ridden and handled by experienced people. We will be sad to see him go.

Has been out to a few hound exercises and Autumn hunting through September, so fit and ready to go. No major rush to sell, so we will keep him going and find the absolute perfect home for him.

He does mildly suffer with Mallenders & Sallenders and CPL (like A LOT of cobs these days!). We easily manage it with a correct diet, plenty of movement, and regular clipping. If this is a major problem for you, please do not waste my time.

Based in Newport Pagnell, Bucks

Tack & rugs potentially available by negotiation

Please PM or call 07969 875803 for more details. I am generally very busy so please leave a message or WhatsApp and I will get back to you.

Clive is an absolutely delightful horse to have about. Although only recently broken in, this horse will literally do everything with a smile on his face. Trying his hardest to please his rider.

Clive is super in all traffic, he hacks alone or in company. On the busiest of roads or through the fields. He will go up the gallop on his own or in company. He has seen coloured and hunter type fences and is not at all spooky. He has three nice paces, going in an outline and a big careful jump.

Although green, he really would make the nicest all rounder for someone wanting a proper horse, or a superstar hunter as I have no doubt he would cross all kind of country. He is level, polite and snaffle mouthed, never pulling you. He will be the sort of horse that with a few more miles on his clock you'd be able to put your novice husband on to go hunting for the day.

I've also no doubt he would be very striking in the show ring.

He is good to box, shoe and clip with no vices. He has a recent clean vetting certificate when he came over from Ireland.

Seen on sales livery in Stow on the wold.

Boherlody badger (Badger) is a cracking 4 yo 15,1 cob with 7 Inches of bone.

Badger has been nothing but a joy to produce, he has done a little of everything, SJ, XC (including drains) and done a few half days hunting with the Tipperarys including the Opening meet, where he stood like a lamb, very mannerly with other horses and jumped everything put in front of him, Including walls, drains etc, and was happy after his time to come away from the group to head home alone all while being ridden by a child.

He has good basic flat work, hes easy off the leg, but obviously being 4 still has a little more work to be fully 'polished' but had a good start with a pro rider.

Badger is exceptionally quiet to ride never spooky, very happy to go out in company or alone, ride in the field hes never nappy, and certainly wouldn’t throw a buck or a rear.

He was excellent to clip and load, stood for the farrier........

I can not recommend this fella enough to a mother/daughter, show home, hunting he's very versatile and would suit all home types including a nervous rider.

He is a 1 in a million and a sad sale but i have a genuine reason to sell this fabulous boy, and happy to be contacted to discuss more.

Alfie has three lovely paces, he’s comfortable and steady, will ride off your voice or your aids and he’s trustworthy and easy in every way, such a safe, happy, laid back chap. Guinness has done plenty of hunting, he loves it, he will go anywhere in the field, stands at the meet and will literally jump anything you put in front of him, a complete professional over a ditch, class back end over a hedge and will trot and pop over a rail off a road or in trappy country. He is excellent with hounds, a placid horse around others and just guaranteed to give you the most lovely day.

This lovely chap is friendly, laid back and easy, he can be ridden by anyone, of all abilities and will carry a heavier rider. Despite his brilliance out in the hunt field, he has done unaffiliated eventing, riding club, showjumping, XC and farm rides, and a test.

He’s been an allrounder and has done plenty, he has lots of scope and makes a great shape over a fence, never says no and will always help you out. Just a genuine horse, with a lovely way about him. He would excel in the show ring, lovely stamp and he’s always complimented wherever he goes.

  • 6-year-old Traditional Homozygous Coloured Stallion
  • Outstanding presence and temperament
  • He has been shown lightly in-hand with great success

Bucks is a top-class 15.2hh traditional stallion with outstanding presence and temperament. He has been broken to both ride and drive and is proving to be exceptionally willing and straightforward in all his work. Although still a novice under saddle, he shows great potential and would not take much to have him ready for the 2026 show season.

He is 100% in traffic whilst being driven, having seen tractors, lorries and many other vehicles. He has driven at night and in the day, and has been driven by a 6-year-old supervised. Has been ridden by a novice 15 year old and a 73 year old, and looked after them both, doing everything that was asked.

A proven stallion, he has already produced a number of quality foals with excellent conformation, movement, and temperament. He has been tested as 100% homozygous. He is extremely mannerly to handle and cover, and is handled daily by women. He is equally content living in or out 24/7 and is good to do in all ways. He is regularly handled by a 12-year-old including bringing him in and out. Is fine with being stabled next to or opposite mares, and there is no worries with bringing a mare passed him.

He has been shown lightly in-hand with great success, including wins at agricultural shows, and always catches the judge’s eye with his type and presence. CHAPS registered. PSSM1 Clear. His sire is a Silver Graded Medal Stallion with CHAPS.

A genuine, well-mannered stallion with the versatility, quality, and character to excel in the show ring, under saddle, or as a continued asset to any breeding programme.

Serious enquiries only, please, as this is a very sad sale due to feeling that he could go on to be very successful in the right hands.

Absolutely stunning 3yo RID gelding, by Inishfree the Iron Cross.
Potential HOYS centre line, and a top contender for Draught classes.
Clean, straight, with exceptional movement.

His temperament is A1- curious and affectionate.
He is still green, having mostly been given time in the field to socialise and grow, alongside some basic in hand work. But he would rather be getting fuss and acting like an overgrown puppy than misbehaving!!

Good to handle, have his feet trimmed, bring in and out, go on the walker, load and travel.

Serious buyers sought for a serious little horse! Gutting sale due to him growing more than I had hoped.

Purchased as an unbroken 3 year old for beach hacking and fun, but I believe she is much more than that!

Ridden only twice a week due to my energy levels keeping my homebred Sports horse in work.

Moo is ridden by myself (aged over 60) and a 14 year old girl (see video). She will happily jump around a course of 70cm with scope for more.

Good conformation and her colour is hard to find with potential to do Light Weight Cob at county level and Working Cob.

Good to box, catch, clip and in traffic.

Full wardrobe available including well fitting good quality tack and rugs by separate negotiation

Heartbreaking sale so please no time wasters, nervous or novices.

Moo has a good brain and would not be describe as spooky. However she isn't a brain dead plod and is still slightly green.

The type that’s hard to get your hands on , so don’t hang about !!

Henry - show stopping 16hh, 9 yo , cob gelding
Smartly marked with no lumps or bumps nor vices

An out and out gent in and out of the stable. I challenge anyone to find me an easier going chap than him!! Totally uncomplicated to own. He will live in or out , perfect to clip, loads himself , travels beautifully , easy to catch, shoe etc!! Any member of the family can see to him!

Push button in the flat. Very well established with push button transitions in a very consistent contact. Always snaffle mouthed , nicely forward but will also step down the gears when required. Super mannerly chap who only ever wants to please you. Nice and forgiving and not easily offended. Recently been a red ribbon collector in the show ring this year

Loves to pop small fences. Has done some workers , unaffiliated show jumping and XC and jumps anything you point him at out hunting and on fun rides. Very easy point and kick type who enjoys having a little pop around

Loves to venture out to the beach and doesn’t mind getting his feet wet in the sea

Hunted at the front and back of the field and knows the job

Many funrides on his cv

This horse will hack anywhere and everywhere!! No road too busy, no traffic too heavy. Henry is very reliable and sane. Stands like a rock to mount , opens and closes gates , excellent in open spaces ….

He really is a yes man …. Exactly how we wish our husbands could be! Never argumentative and always wanting to please his rider

Henry has recently had his hock injected. This is very common low maintenance for these heavier horses and certainly of no concern going forward. He is open to any vetting or inspection. This is reflected in his prove but should certainly not put anyone off this once in a lifetime horse

15.1 4yo Irish cob gelding

Larry is an absolute dream. He was recently imported from Ireland unbroken, he's taken to ridden work like a duck to water.

Larry hacks alone and in company - he's fab in traffic and open spaces and will go in front or behind.
Having only been under saddle for a couple of months he has only just started his education in the school after spending his first few weeks learning about the world hacking, however he's balanced, starting to work in a sweet but green outline with a soft mouth and he's super willing and a real pleasure to work with.

Larry has popped his first few fences and he's genuine , straight and easy. He seems to really enjoy it and always has his ears pricked to a fence.

Stands as solid as a rock to mount , unbelievably easy to handle , good with the clippers and to bath. Moves straight and correctly - big walk and canter , snaffle mouth. Forward going and responsive off the leg.

Potential to make a good show cob or he would be just as happy being a family , all round fun horse. Whichever path he goes down he will be someone's loyal best friend.
Has recently been to his first competition, he loaded and travelled like a dream, stood quietly on the trailer and scored 74.8% to come second out of a class of 17.

He has got some sarcoids , none of which are in a place which affect his tack so I am treating them homoeopathically at the moment - this has been taken into account and he's been priced accordingly. Please don't enquire if this puts you off.
