Lily – Beautiful 5-Year-Old Skewbald Irish Cob Mare, 15.2hh – Safe, Sweet & Super Versatile

Meet Lily – a truly lovely 5-year-old traditional skewbald Irish Cob mare, standing at a solid and well-balanced 15.2hh. This gorgeous girl is a genuine all-rounder with a heart full of kindness and a temperament to match. She is quiet, sensible, and incredibly easy in every way, making her an ideal choice for novice riders, families, or anyone looking for a reliable, fun, and honest riding horse.

Lily is the sort of horse who makes you feel at ease the moment you meet her. She’s a real people-pleaser – affectionate, willing, and always looking to do her best. Whether in the stable or under saddle, Lily is calm, polite, and a joy to work with. She’s easy to catch, box, shoe, clip, and groom, and she has absolutely no stable vices. A true lady in every sense.

Under saddle, Lily is forward going in the nicest way – responsive and eager, yet never sharp or silly. She rides beautifully on the flat and has been lightly schooled with lovely natural balance and rhythm. She’s also showing great promise over fences, currently jumping up to 80cm with honesty and enthusiasm. She’s straight and willing to a fence, making her a perfect choice for someone looking to do a bit of everything – from hacking and fun rides to low-level jumping and schooling.

When it comes to hacking, Lily is absolutely exceptional. She will hack out happily alone or in company and is rock solid in all types of traffic – from tractors to lorries, she takes it all in her stride. Whether it’s a quiet country lane or a busy road, she’s relaxed, safe, and unflappable. She has been out on group rides and trekking routes, always behaving like the true professional she is.

She’s the perfect family horse – safe enough for a novice to gain confidence on, yet with enough talent and personality to be enjoyed by more experienced riders. Horses like Lily don’t come around often – she’s as close to a unicorn as you’ll find.

Transport to the UK is included in the price, and if for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, we offer exchange options for peace of mind.

For more information, please don’t hesitate to call 00353 86 807 7626 or email gertytynan@gmail.com.

Lily is ready and waiting to become someone’s best friend – don’t miss your chance to bring this special mare home.

  • Safe, sweet-natured cob who hacks alone or in company and is brilliant in traffic.
  • A true yard favourite with lovely manners and a kind, affectionate temperament.
Meet Patrick – a smart, kind-hearted cob with a fabulous temperament and bags of potential. At 10 years old, he’s a 15hh skewbald gelding who’s already proving himself as a fun, forward and rewarding ride — and with the right rider, he’ll go far.

Patrick is the sort who thrives on a job. He loves being in regular work and is at his best with a confident and capable rider who wants to enjoy everything from cross country and showjumping to dressage and hacking. He’s bold and enthusiastic over fences and has a naturally balanced way of going that shows real promise on the flat. With further schooling, he could absolutely turn heads in a dressage arena — he’s just starting to come into his prime.

He’s done low-level clinics, jumping, hacking and has the makings of a cracking Pony Club or Riding Club all-rounder. Happy hacking on his own, though he does prefer company — and is solid in traffic. He’s also a total gent to have on the yard: polite, affectionate, easy to catch, and handle.

We’re heartbroken to be selling him, but my daughter simply doesn’t have the time to do him justice with her GCSEs approaching. This is a genuinely difficult decision, and Patrick will only go to a home where he’ll be loved, kept in regular work, and given the opportunity to shine.

Patrick is happiest and performs best when kept in regular work, but he's always safe and sensible. For someone looking for a fun, honest horse with so much to give, he’s a truly exciting prospect.

Based near Bingely. Open to any vet. Serious enquiries only, please.

Suzie is very sadly looking for a new home due to her owners change in circumstances. She is very much part of there family and finding her the right home is there top priority.

She has attended pony club camp and has taken part in a 100 mile ride across wales over several days.

She is super easy to handle on the ground, loves being groomed and having a fuss. Perfect to clip, catch, shoe etc.

Introducing Buddy or Spud (as he thinks he’s still got some) – the golden-haired heartthrob with four white legs, a dazzling white face, and more attitude than a Love Island contestant.

Hobbies include:
• Jumping like he’s auditioning for the next Olympics
• Posing and flouncing dramatically in the field
• Wooing every horse in sight male or female
• Testing boundaries – usually the electric fence’s

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Buddy must have his own paddock, preferably surrounded by the kind of electric fencing NASA might use to protect a launch site.

Yes, gelded. No, he didn’t get the memo he thinks his surname is Hefner

Hacks alone or in company, rides well in the school, nice forward easy ride with good brakes, has been ridden by kids and novice adults with no problems

Been to arena hires and shows – behaves like a saint 99% of the time (the other 1% is just… cob stuff)

Loads and travels well
Great for the farrier and to catch
Lives on fresh air – cheap date!
Vaccinations & worming up to date

Not a novice owner’s first pony – he’s built like a tank with cob opinions on the ground

Needs someone confident and cob-savvy who can handle his “I’m the boss” energy with a sense of humour and a firm lead rope.

Only for sale due to a lovely young first-time owner being overhorsed - she wants more of a pet to brush and he’s too good for that – however she absolutely adores him and would love to stay in touch with his new human.

Buddy’s ideal home:

• Confident rider and handler

• A well-fenced field of his own “ His kingdom”

• Someone who appreciates a horse with personality, presence, and a serious amount of pizzaz

No timewasters, dreamers, or matchmaking services. He’s not looking to settle down anytime soon

Clashmore Lily

Approximately 15.2h

4 year old (2021)

ID x ISH type

She has a really kind, loving temperament. She takes everything in her stride and is polite and mannerly to do things around her.

Lily has recently been imported over from Ireland.

She has been professionally started and is proving to have an older head on young shoulder. She has a really good attitude to her work and is willing to please. Very quick learner.

Lily has been to a handful of arena hires, X-country schooling, where she has proven to be straightforward.

She’s a confident little jumper, with a bold, genuine attitude. Jumps fillers, planks, rustic, ditches, banks, goes into water.

She’s got a lovely soft mouth, a good length of stride and three correct balanced paces. She would do a lovely dressage test and is ready to go out and do these things straight away.

She’s great to hack alone or in company. Good with traffic, in open spaces.

Good to box, travel, shoe, trim.

Jack is a striking coloured with a great personality and will be a super fun horse for the right person.

He’s had the same home for the past 4 years where he has been loved dearly and brought on slowly with low mileage. Jack proves bold and brave to a fence, he’s quick thinking and has a good technique. This is where we feel he will excel as a pony club / riding club home.

Jack has been on pre hunt exercises where he behaved impeccably, he loves to hack and is good in company or on his own. He’s competed at 80 showjumping never getting strong or silly, and has been cross country schooling aswell as clinics and arena hires.

No novices or nervous riders Jack needs a competent jockey to maximise his full potential. He’s good to shoe, clip, vet, physio and load.

However he is only suited to herringbone travel.

Deep seeking my nxt best friend. 14.2 up 16h max really as I cant get on big ones!

If 14.2hh it MUST be full up without a short choppy stride.

Pref an older or atleast “been there type“ with lots of “going-out” experience to get my confidence bk enjoying a bit of jumping (only 70-80& rc clinics), lots of forest hacking at home.

Exp private home in E.Sussex / Kent on beautiful private farm. I'm a petite adult with yrs of competition exp & just want to get something that is genuine & easy to do-ride with zero quirks. Spook fine out hacking but no bucking, spins or rears.

Easy to load alone & happy waiting around at clinics without any drama. No getting buzzy or impatient..

Nothing too buzzy pls, forward yes but not buzzy type, certainly no ridden vices at all. Minor health issues are fine if disclosed. MUST hack alone & CALM in comp without drama’s. No bucking, napping or being naughty. The odd genuine spook is normal). We meet dogs & push bikes in forest here so must be genuine & safe though not wanting a plod & nothing too heavy as I am tiny. The odd genuine spook at a pheasant or leaf is fine. I’m not wanting a turned-off type. Horses will be horses!

Im very exp& use to compete a lot but now just wanting a kind, easy type to enjoy at home with my older boy. Not wanting to compete very much at all just fun rides& Rc clinics& low level jumping occasionally.

I love going xc as use to event but only if ground good. It will be a lower level fun home..I don’t own a school here so im not into endless circles, quite the opp, hence needing something who knows it job. Nothing from Ire pls.

Home for life- Ex vet nurse& has had Equines all my life( I’m early 50’s)

£8k max, less if older type. Not intr buying off a dealer if no known history.

Absolutely heartbreaking sale of this much loved mare, ‘Madonna II’, known as Maddie at home is my gorgeous 15.1/2hh fairly stocky build ID X Knabstrupper.

She is 17 this year, but wasnt broken in until she was 6 years old so has not been hammered from a young age.

She has done all pony club activities , including pony club camp. She absolutely loves her jumping and will take you to a fence, weather that’s cross country or showjumping. She is happy to jump hedges, ditches, water, you name it she will do it. showjumping she jumps all the fillers and coloured poles. Pops over 95cm (or bigger if cross country!). She has done arena eventing and hunter trials with success.

Maddies main love is hacking, is what she has done most of and she will lead or go behind, she is easy off the leg and enjoys having a canter but always has good breaks (always in a snaffle) and she goes off your voice for transitions up and down the paces. She is fantastic in all types of traffic.

She can work in an outline in walk and trot. I am not looking for someone is expecting her to be a dressage school mistress, she is happy to do flat schooling but it is not where her love lies.

On the ground she is delightful, loads and travels well, turns out with mares or geldings, comes to call from the field, easy to lead, tie up and loves a good groom. The only thing she is not so sure about is the farrier but is fine with a handful of treats.

I am looking for someone who wants to hack, do fun rides and enjoy some jumping, perhaps someone in the riding club who just wants a nice safe horse to have fun with. I would like to keep in touch with her as she is very special to me.

I very sadly cannot give this girl the time she deserves as I soon go Bach to worked after MAT leave.

Homes will be vetted.

BONNIE BLUE  - 16hh blue and white Irish mare 4 yrs

Super old fashioned Irish mare who will go on to do any job. Bonnie is a type increasingly hard to find, she’s a solid MW and a square leg at each corner sort but is still quality.

She is recently broken and riding and has taken to her work very well. She is now working sweetly on the flat and starting to get the idea of working on the bridle but is still wobbly!  She stays in a good rhythm and really tries to please, she is obviously still green but shows a lot of promise in her work and is naturally balanced.

Bonnie is definitely a jumper! She has got a great technique, and gets better with every session. She is just awesome, she’s very brave, careful and straightforward. She has had her first taste of XC with us and was great fun, a lot more to come from her!

She will go on and do a bit of everything very well, I could see her going and being a lot of fun grassroots eventing, SJ ( you wouldn’t know how much scope she’s got so who knows how far she will go!) she would be a machine out hunting, love fun rides or equally she’s kind and simple and loves her hacking alone and in company and is good in traffic. We have hacked her extensively, taken her to the beach / pub and given her a good start to seeing the world.

Her attitude to work is just the best, she is the definition of a trier.

In addition to being such a total sweetheart under saddle she’s very kind to handle, good to catch, clip, box, good with farrier although this is her first set of shoes and she needs a bit of feed and a kind word for confidence.

I adore her and can’t wait to see what she becomes.

Great family or RS type as he is up to weight but still active enough to go on and compete and could be used by several members of the family. Apollo has had a very good home in Ireland and he has nice flat work and he has been to some little Dressage shows and he is also a very good jumper.

He has been to some unregistered jumping shows and he has also done some XC schooling days proving to be easy and brave and will go in and out of water, jump logs, rails, ditches etc. He is calm and sensible out in big open spaces and does not get strong or hot-headed.

This chap is fantastic to hack out and will happily go alone or in a group, and he is not fazed by the heaviest of road or farm traffic. Despite his age Apollo is the one that we regularly use as escort and babysitter for the less confident horses!

Apollo really loves attention and is happy to stand and be pampered and groomed for hours. He is excellent to turn out with other horses and can be caught easily, he will lead in quietly and tie up anywhere that suits you! He is also very good to load in both a lorry or trailer, sensible with the farrier and is very quiet to clip!

A really super old fashioned type that has a great personality - always happy to do his best and is only looking to please and to be loved.
