15.3hh, Sports Horse, Mare, 8 year old (2016), by Landor (Cor de la Bryere x Florestan) . A lovely smart looking mare, very sweet and pretty.

Fantastic for somebody that wants an easy, lovable horse but with a bit of character.

She has been used as a hacking horse, she has done lots of hacking on busy roads and been on some farms rides. Very low mileage for her age.

Snaffle mouthed. Good with traffic and isn't phased by big vehicles such as lorries, tractors. She prefers to hack out in company, she is much more relaxed and happy when hacking with others. Although she does hack out by herself she can be spooky, so will need a confident rider, wouldn’t be suitable for a novice rider.

I have jumped some small jumps while out hacking and gone through streams, open gates etc with no issues.

She is currently being hacked out 4 times a week, with daily turnout. She is turned out 24/7 in Summer, turns out with mares and geldings, she is not mare-ish at all.

Easy to handle mare, good to clip, farrier and travel. She is up to date with vaccinations and dentist.

Sandyman is a beautiful chestnut gelding with 4 white stockings. Had a good racing career in Ireland and was always a yard favourite.

Sandy is a lovely horse to have on the yard, he is lovely to deal with and sweet tempered- doesn’t get hot or silly being stabled and is a gent to lead about the yard and to the field.

He loves to jump and has plenty of care for a pole and a cross country fence. Lovely technique over a jump and bold over fillers. He now just needs to strengthen up over grids- has a good canter for showjumping and is relatively calm to a fence (he is still an ex race horse!) he has been to arena hire and a training show and he proved to be an old hat at the game! He is brave and genuine over xc fences and has attended a hunter trial and jumped round clear.

Sandy is happy to work in the school. He is very rideable and has a rhythmical canter. He is beginning to lower his head carriage, however he doesn’t yet work on the bridle- Rome wasn’t build in a day! But he has the right attitude and attributes to progress to ride a lovely dressage test.

Sandy isn’t spooky atall, we are on a busy farm and there is ALOT to look at!

Sandy hacks alone and in company- although we have found him better in company! He has absolutely no malice in him atall and happy to discuss further with prospective buyers, but if a less experienced home would prefer him to go somewhere where there was the option of riding out in company.

He is fabulous in ALL traffic and bikes.

He is good to shoe, and is recently shod. I haven’t clipped him as he has a beautiful summer coat. He has had his teeth done and was great for the dentist.

He is happy living in or out, and happy turned out alone or in a herd.

He is good to load, travel and stand on the lorry waiting. He finished racing sound and has no known health issues. He is open to any vetting.

A great home is much sought after for this lovely boy, he is a much thought of horse and previous owners in Ireland would like to stay in touch. He does very quietly have a little weave at feed time- it is v discreet as was unnoticed for several days when he arrived! Home v important

The ultimate confidence giver! Boy is a 12 year old, 15.3hh cob x American sports horse. He is low mileage for his age, however is the most sensible, trustworthy cob you could ask for.

He hacks alone or in company, has been xc schooling and is currently being ridden by a semi professional rider. He has recently been out to a clear round showjumping, going clear with the scope to go higher and behaving impeccably.

He is snaffle mouthed at all times. Boy can be bargy on the ground and is forward going( but not at all silly). He can occasionally jog when enjoying hacking, and needs a soft hand, and for this reason we believe he would not suit a complete novice. He is perfect in the heaviest of traffic. Ideally we would love to see him out and about having fun, and would suit any riding club type activities.

A loving home is the most important factor, as he has been in the same home since being a youngster. The only reason for sale is due to him not getting the attention he deserves due to children and a full time job. Boy is fit, in work, and available with a full wardrobe, tack, and as many rugs as wanted.

Madge has competed at BD for 3 years and qualified for Area Festivals and a Regional, both summer and winter. She has just qualified for the Regionals again since Christmas.

In Winter 2023/24 we competed at BD Veteran Rider Champs (at Vale View, Leicestershire) at Prelim and Novice - placed 3rd in the silver section Prelim test and 6th overall.

She competed at Regionals at Chard in Prelim and came 8th.

She has also qualified for Hartpury South West Unaffiliated Champs coming 3rd in the Novice warm up class and getting a reasonable score in the champs.

She jumps very nicely and while she hasn’t done loads under saddle she certainly could go on and do loads more!

She’s been on the beach and is very mannerly. Woodland rides etc. She travels like a dream and stays over at shows very happily. She’ll go first or last out hacking. Her only flaw is she isn’t the most comfortable in big traffic , absolutely fine with cars, vans ,trucks and trailers etc if she has company and a bit of cover she is fine but does need reassurance.

She is the kindest mare to look after , up to date with jabs , teeth etc .

Madge will wind suck very occasionally after being fed

Her slight flaws are reflected in her reasonable price .

She is much loved so Good home a priority
