Prince is a 6yr old gelding approx 16hh

Sire- irish draft/ dam- ISH.
Recorded breeding with green irish passport.

Suited for - hacking- riding club horse- riding school.

He was imported from Ireland a month ago and wasn’t in work we have put him back to work with no issues atall. He is riding walk trot and canter both reins albeit is lazy.

He was broke end of last summer then turned away for the winter. So he is still green but coming on leaps and bounds each day. He is more of a kick along type.

We have been doing schooling and some hacking and he isn’t phased by any traffic.

He has also started to go over some poles.

He has good manners and is good in the stable. He will live in or out he isn’t phased.

Good to tack up and stands at the mount block.

super sweet nature and is very straightforward does not buck rear nap etc will jump everything and anything even if rider is rusty and closes eyes !! Hes built up trust with me and is amazing. Snaffle mouthed and very comfy ride. Hacks alone or in company in traffic and on farm rides with others hes easy . Jumps hedges ditches never thinks about stopping or running out

He can be nervous to clip but this should improve in time as he is generally worried about clippers fit and sound but has a soft windgal on back leg so would be marked down in workers classes. Cosmetic still should pass a vetting with a good pragmatic vet. fit for purpose would make top event prospect / show jump . Allrounder. He is great. North west.

Son (11) is walk/trot/canter/poles so something he can size up to in the future. Would like to be chief groom though!

Striking 16.2 registered Irish draft gelding. Rooster is the perfect allrounder as well as being a mannerly gentleman to handle and ride.

He has three balanced and correct paces and has competed BD at prelim level with success including attending BD areas in the silver league. He has a super jump and is unfazed by fillers and solid fences. He is easy and forgiving to a fence.

Lovely to hack and has seen ditches, footbridges and happily canters out in front or behind with another horse. Starts and stops in a snaffle. Very good with traffic and lives on a farm so big machinery is the norm.

Great to shoe, load, travel, vet, clip and dentist. (And up to date with all vacs, back, teeth etc) Open to any vet! He is never sick or sorry!

It’s with a heavy heart that I offer Skeldon Moor Jasper for sale. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of owning this special boy his entire life, having brought him home as an 8-month-old foal. He’s grown into the kindest, most genuine horse you could wish to meet.

Jasper is a true gentle giant – kind, patient, and full of character. He lives out 24/7, is a good doer, and generally an easy keeper. Broken to ride later in life, he’s had a relaxed upbringing and now enjoys a steady pace. He’s still green in the school, but shines as a happy hacker – confident alone or in company.

  • Ridden and handled by children
  • Safe and sensible, though strong due to his size – not suitable for complete novices
  • Good ground manners, stands perfectly to be groomed and fussed over
  • Bombproof in traffic, though he may spook at rattling noises behind him (e.g. trailers)
  • Needs shoeing every 8 weeks for road work – managed barefoot on soft ground when not in regular work
  • Loading requires patience – he loads with training but we don’t currently have a lorry on the yard to maintain the practice

Jasper is a confidence giver, a steady companion, and a much-loved member of the family. Finding him the perfect 5* home is my top priority – he deserves nothing less.

Dil is a 16.1h 6yo Bay Mare, and is a chunky TB. She is a sweet mare and more like a gelding than a mare! She’s raced about 14 times but wasn’t fast enough.

Her flat work is green but she is very willing has is progressing well with us.

She started jumping this year and has proved to have a super scopey and careful jump, she has taken well to fillers and all types of simulated XC fences.

She has jumped on a surface and on grass and has just been XC schooling and loved it jumping around a BE90 course.

She is good to hack both on the roads and in the fields, she is now looking for next home to continue her training and in time will make a super competition all rounder or equally happy as a low level hack.

Sad sale on behalf of her owner after 2.5 years.

Pricilla is a lovely 15.2 aprox, 7yo homebred coloured cob mare. Shes super sweet to ride, hacks alone and in company and is fabulous in traffic. She is great in open spaces, happily canters through the fields and doesn’t get silly or strong.

Pricilla has done loads of hacking, she’s done some arena work and walks trots canters around the arena very well, hasn’t been asked to work in a outline but no reason new owner can’t teach her. Shes very trainable and willing. She loves her jumping and jumps anything you put in front of her. She makes a nice shape and is easy to and from a fence.

Pricilla would suit someone that wants to enjoy hacking, fun rides, low level riding club activities, and she would suit most people. However we don’t want to see her to a complete novice or nervous person as I do believe she will take the Micky if doesn’t get given clear boundaries like every horse needs.

She is good as gold to shoe, box, travel, catch etc and is so easy to deal with in and out the stable. Everyone on the yard rides her and she’s very uncomplicated. Not the type that needs to be ridden every day and happily lives in or out. She is with us on sales livery, full history is known as she is a homebred. No vices

Cornflake is a quality 16.2h 18yo Warmblood Gelding.

In a past life, Cornflake (The Corn Crake) has evented to 3* with good results, however he has lost the love for jumping in the ring.

With this in mind, we feel Cornflake would be best suited to a home as a dressage schoolmaster, or to go hunting/teamchasing.

On the flat Cornflake has all the moves, he’s rideable, sane and forgiving. He has all his lateral work, a change both ways and an easy snaffle mouth.

Equally, cornflake is a proven hunter. He’s easy, mannerly and jumps anything with plenty of scope and enthusiasm.

Cornflake hacks alone and in company in heavy traffic, and is easy to shoe, box, clip etc. He’s never hot or silly, and has been ridden and looked after entirely by a small teenage girl for the last couple of years.

All the above the mare has found very easy, she’s naturally brave to a jump both sj & Xc including water & ditches.

Easy to manage on the ground, loading, shoeing, bathing etc.

Works in a nice outline and is a suitable general purpose fun Allrounder.

Tiptop has been to some unaff Sj jumping double clear 80/90 and would easily step up.

She was given time to mature and develop and we didn’t really get going with her until Jan.

She is really not enjoying customers coming to try her. She had harsh viewing that has unsettled her we gave her a couple of weeks to chill out and she now needs to find her home. She has become backwards and crabby and needs someone to go and hack and do sponsored rides or something to get forward gears.

We will not be letting clients ride her in the school. Going hacking is fine and someone that understands it will take time to get her back to where she was.

Open to vetting. I realise I will be taking a substantial loss but want to find her the right home.

A lovely big lad looking for his perfect home. He hacks alone and in company, great in the heaviest of traffic and doesn’t get excitable or silly hacking and cantering across big open fields.

He is snaffle mouthed and we don’t find him strong. He is barefoot with great feet. Good with the farrier, good to catch, load, travel, handle etc. Happily stands tied up in the yard with no fussing.

Up to date with teeth, feet, jabs, worming and osteopath.

He has some scars on his hind legs from a very old injury which do not affect him at all.

We would love him to go to a loving home with someone who enjoys lots of hacking. There’s no reason he couldn’t also do low level schooling/jumping and he has done this in previous homes, but this isn’t something we have done with him ourselves.

He would not suit a nervous rider.

He is sold with his tack.
