She has already proven her talent and rideability in the ring, winning 1st place in the Ridden 4 & 5-Year-Old Class at the Sceilig Connemara Festival and taking home 3rd place in the same class at Charleville Show. She’s also hunted a full season with the Duhallow Foxhounds, showing her brave, sensible, and trustworthy attitude across all types of terrain. In addition, she has been to several training shows, always behaving impeccably and rising to the occasion with maturity well beyond her years.

Handsome 16.2hh Irish 2011 bay gelding. If you’re looking for a seasoned hunter then this is your horse! He will go first, last, stand alone, and will do it for any passenger!

This super lad loves his hunting and has several seasons under his belt, he will cross ANY country and stays mannerly and easy at all times. He’s a machine over a ditch & a hedge and gives you the best feel.

Despite him being a 10/10 class hunter, he produces a lovely test and is a nice allrounder, will jump coloured fences and shows willing at everything he does.

He will go out in the biggest of traffic alone and in company, unbothered by everything and super in open spaces.

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.
