Dil is a 16.1h 6yo Bay Mare, and is a chunky TB. She is a sweet mare and more like a gelding than a mare! She’s raced about 14 times but wasn’t fast enough.

Her flat work is green but she is very willing has is progressing well with us.

She started jumping this year and has proved to have a super scopey and careful jump, she has taken well to fillers and all types of simulated XC fences.

She has jumped on a surface and on grass and has just been XC schooling and loved it jumping around a BE90 course.

She is good to hack both on the roads and in the fields, she is now looking for next home to continue her training and in time will make a super competition all rounder or equally happy as a low level hack.

Sad sale on behalf of her owner after 2.5 years.

Mango is the most easy going, delightful horse.

She is 9yo, 16.1 HH, lives out or in, good to load, shoe, clip etc.

She is a homebred mare who has done forest rides around the farm so used to machinery, livestock, you name it!

Very sad sale as her owner has just moved to Australia.

She is good alone or in company.

Willing but steady, capable of a good dressage test as very well schooled and produced. She’s a careful jumper but not bold.

No injuries, ailments or vices. She is as kind as can be in the stable and on the ground. Very affectionate and good to catch.

Three balanced paces, snaffle mouthed. The less experienced person would need more leg on as she knows a less confident rider on her.

She would be Riding club capable, just done low level all round most of her life, so not loads of mileage.

Great to travel, up to date on vacs, sweetest disposition and so willing to please.

Does not have a bad bone in her body!
It’s highly likely It’s without doubt

I am looking for a dedicated home to take forward this special and talented horse who applies himself with will endeavour. Winner of Man v. Horse, June 2022 (see INVICTUS https://standardbred.org) from whence he has been with me for 3 years with full assurance of a safe and sound horse with potential to learn in other fields.

He has had a consistent programme of weekly schooling and weekend hacks where he has developed flexion, outline and a degree of balance in canter. He has achieved now canter on both reins in full and 20m circles but ongoing training is essential to mastering it fully and correcting the 'default pace gait' but he really impressively tries and is making good progress.

He maintains a wonderful working trot and tempo throughout with which to work through the aids and dressage aims. He loves jumping and has balletic moves in correcting his approach, also with raised and lain poles which engage his skills. He is an intelligent and willing horse to train and is in very fit form.

Hacking out over mixed terrain, rural lanes, hill trots, climbs, tracks, moors and through a town has given him wide experience and confidence; ideally he likes an off road adventure and does easily 6-8 miles each ride. I would l love a mature rider like myself to enjoy him and his versatility and to live in an area with good rides to explore and some cross-country jumping as a first! He has shared a field with a mare, but presently is at a part livery, strip grazed and stabled along with thoroughbred geldings.

He has no vices, except on occasion affectionate nibbling which is horse specific, and has been prevented by fencing. I have invested a lot in his potential and I would ideally like a loan home for a period as I have some family commitments ahead and need some time free.

He comes with good GP and Dressage saddles, numnahs, lunging kit, 2 bridles, rugs ....

LOAN / TRIAL PERIOD CONSIDERED.

Bee is a kind natured homebred mare, with full history known.

She’s a straight, eye catching mover, schooling nicely and will do a very smart test as she continues to be produced.

Popping a little fence and hacking out alone and in company, through open fields and around country lanes. Bee is getting used to country traffic but won’t have seen fast, heavy traffic yet.

She’s snaffle mouthed and no stronger out in the open than she is schooling in the arena.

Good for farrier, load, catch, up to date with vaccs.

Bee is low mileage due to owners starting a family and also having a sarcoid removed from the underside of her chest last year. This is now healed and has just left some scar tissue. Happy to discuss further over the phone if required.

Bee has been back in work since January, has taken to her work really well and is progressing all the time.

Bee is still green and ready to go and explore the world to further increase her confidence. Would suit a nice hacking/ riding club/ low level all rounder type home that is happy to continue her education.

Sadly for sale at great value due to baby resulting in lack of time.

Sensible offers considered

Coco is a gorgeous 16hh 9yo chestnut mare by Future Trend.

Coco has been and done everything from, BS, BD, fun rides, riding club including camps, pole and grid clinics, in hand agility and quadrille.

She is fabulous in traffic and hacks alone and in company and loves hacking across the farm in big open fields.

She is snaffle mouthed at all times and is such a fun horse.

She works well on the flat, responsive, eager to please, balanced and gets lovely comments from the judges. Coco has a scopey jump with a great technique.

She has a good BS record, she’s jumped double clears at discovery and has previously qualified for lots of second rounds and championships. Loves cross country and happy to jump ditches, water, combinations and steps etc.

Coco would be a ideal top class riding club horse for someone who wants a fun genuine and honest mare that does have a bit about her, she wouldn’t be for a novice as she’s bred to perform and wants to do a job and do it well.

Perfect for someone who wants to do all the Cotswold cups and I see no reason why she wouldn’t be a great grassroots contender.

Coco is barefoot and copes perfectly well on all types of terrain. She really would go on and do any job and would love to continue to have a varied life doing lots of different things. She is great to clip, shoe/trim, load and travel etc. She is a very easy horse to look after, she’s lovely to handle and is polite, likes to be groomed and have a cuddle.

Her next owners will be very lucky to have a kind mare like her, and she will give someone lots and lots of fun for years to come.

She has bred a foal and was a great mum. Now back in work, fit and ready for her new chapter.

Super sad sale, coco is with us on sales livery.

It’s with a heavy heart that I offer Skeldon Moor Jasper for sale. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of owning this special boy his entire life, having brought him home as an 8-month-old foal. He’s grown into the kindest, most genuine horse you could wish to meet.

Jasper is a true gentle giant – kind, patient, and full of character. He lives out 24/7, is a good doer, and generally an easy keeper. Broken to ride later in life, he’s had a relaxed upbringing and now enjoys a steady pace. He’s still green in the school, but shines as a happy hacker – confident alone or in company.

  • Ridden and handled by children
  • Safe and sensible, though strong due to his size – not suitable for complete novices
  • Good ground manners, stands perfectly to be groomed and fussed over
  • Bombproof in traffic, though he may spook at rattling noises behind him (e.g. trailers)
  • Needs shoeing every 8 weeks for road work – managed barefoot on soft ground when not in regular work
  • Loading requires patience – he loads with training but we don’t currently have a lorry on the yard to maintain the practice

Jasper is a confidence giver, a steady companion, and a much-loved member of the family. Finding him the perfect 5* home is my top priority – he deserves nothing less.

Ava is beautifully put together, and has three balanced paces. She is very well schooled on the flat and regularly scores in the 20’s.

She won the BE90 at Oxstalls last year finishing on 26.3. Recently 8th at Hazelton CC 80cm with 26.8 , 1 pole and clear XC. She has a lovely jump and has SJ and XC up to 1m.

She has done a couple of team chases and I think she would also make a good hunter. Ava is brilliant to hack, both alone and in company.

She is a kind and genuine horse who always looks after her rider. She’s a complete dream on the ground, and loves people. She is good to load, shoe, clip, turn out etc, a real yard favourite.

16.1hh 12-Year-Old Bay Mare – Exceptional All-Rounder

A beautifully bred mare with proven jumping lines, this talented horse has excelled in a variety of disciplines.

She has hunted, competed in dressage, and is a bold, careful jumper. She even took on the Fernie Open team chase on her first-ever attempt, performing exceptionally well.

She is incredibly brave, easy to hack, and would happily field master or hunt hounds. With only a couple of previous owners, this is a genuine sale due to her owner relocating abroad.

A fantastic opportunity to own a versatile, talented, and straightforward mare.

Beautiful 2014 Warmblood bay gelding standing at 17.3hh. This lovely gelding has done plenty, he’s well schooled and has endless talent over fences.

Prince has plenty of showjumping, cross country and competition experience, he would make a class hunter and he turns heads wherever he goes.

Prince offers free established correct and balance paces on the flat including lateral work he is strong but is perfectly manageable in a pelham and is ridden by a 5’2 lightweight jockey with us.

We have jumped him up to 1m30, he has a brilliant technique and is keen to please, he is forward, fun and responsive, being a large rangey horse that is strong, he wouldn’t suit a novice. He moves well enough to do a pure dressage job and he will school beautifully in a snaffle.

He hacks beautifully alone and in company, doesn’t look at heavy traffic and isn’t a spooky type.

On the ground he is an absolute sweetheart and is one of the easiest horses to manage, a gentleman in every single way. Open to any get or trainer £9750

Here we have a lovley mare.

Knows her job in the school - has been a riding school horse for 3 years only for sale as yard is expanding into a competition yard instead.

Lives in or out

Leg in each corner

Very thick set and built like a building

Yet light on her feet and not an extreme kick along

Loves a fuss

Not shod as she has strong feet but can be if buyer wants.

Hacks alone and in company

Enjoys the pub

Good to mount , lead , wash and load etc

Please don't ask me for videos of her doing a course of jumps - she's a lump and not built for show jumping.

However if out on a hack she will pop the small log or branches in some fashion.

Sad sale of Ziggy Stardust who was bought June 2024 as our daughter’s first horse. Being naive first time horse owners soon realised we had bought something with issues. He had grade 4 ulcers which the vets treated and recently scoped to be given the all clear.
Things then improved and my daughter enjoyed riding, jumping him. My daughter has jumped 80cm with ease. He then began to refuse to school or lunge. We have spent 6 months trying to get to the bottom of his issues a long with our amazing vets. They did scans, scopes, x-rays and went to Newbury vets for cintography scans all tests came back clear. He was then referred to a top Equine behaviourist in Scotland who viewed videos and spoke to us & vets about his history. It came back he is very anxious and needs to be taken back to the beginning with his schooling. We sadly don’t have the knowledge or skills & time due to GCSE’s to continue with him.

He deserves someone who has the experience & knowledge to bring back into work slow & steady. He has had so much attention, love & care. He has wanted for nothing & happily show all vets letters. He will make a lovely amateur horse to take up the levels with patience & time.

Absolutely no novices as he is still young & green.

Can also include saddle & tack if wanted.

Up to date with vaccinations, farrier, dentist, Physiotherapy & saddle fitter.

A super home is a must for this lovely gelding, heart breaking genuine sale.

All previous owners & history known.

Happy for vetting, we did 5 stage vetting in June 24 and came back all good.

15.1 10 year old Connemara x Irish sports horse mare

Maggie is an absolute delight to have in the yard. She is super polite and mannerly to handle. Loves a fuss and really affectionate.

She is very straightforward to ride. She works well on the flat , with comfortable and rhythmical paces. Snaffle mouth, not strong. She is straight and correct and would produce a smart dressage test.
Maggie enjoys her jumping. Easy and bold to a fence; she's clever and sorts her own legs out.

She hacks alone and in company. Maggie is sensible in traffic but needs her hand holding or tucking in off the road for the big stuff. Sensible in open spaces.

We are unsure of Maggies competition background. We believe she has competed at unaffiliated showjumping events but she hasn't been out with her current owners. She has hunted previously and proved to be mannerly and sensible.

Maggie would suit an active RC/PC home. She enjoys having a job so not suited for a novice
Good to shoe, clip , bath, load and travel.

Charm is a 16.2 8 year old AES mare which is sadly looking for a new home by absolutely no fault of her own. She is perfect to handle and loves a cuddle, happily falling asleep in your arms.

Due to university commitments I am unable to dedicate enough time to bringing her back into work and she would be wasted here.

She has foaled a year ago and been out of work for about 18 months, due to our lack of time and knowledge which is why she hasn't been brought back into work sooner.

In her previous home she had done the lot including arena eventing, jumping and fun rides; she is a happy mare just wanted to please everyone.

Charm is a dream for the farrier, she is all up to date with feet, teeth and vaccinations.

Bea is a beautiful 17year old 15.2 Anglo European mare.

If you are looking for a ‘been there done that’, impeccably mannered schoolmistress she could be the horse for you. For the last four years Bea has been the dream horse for my daughter who got her when she was 13, but has now outgrown her at 17.

During this time they have regularly competed at 90-100cm, done a variety of ODEs, dressage tests, pony camps, riding club events including arena eventing at nationals and many more adventures.

Bea has recently developed arthritis in her front hooves and hocks, and therefore needs a quieter life. The arthritis has been treated, and in consultation with our vet we have agreed that Bea would be better suited to a home where she can do a variety of activities such as flat work, occasional jumping up to 70cm, dressage, hacking and occasionally go on outings such as fun rides. Bea is a sports horse and therefore needs a knowledgeable owner.

Bea has impeccable stable manners, good to load (into our lorry), and shoe, but needs sedation to clip. Bea hacks alone or in company but prefers to hack out in company as gets confidence from another horse. She is good at standing and amazing at doing gates and polite in open areas & traffic. She can be spooky at tractors, but in our previous yard where tractors were coming and going all the time, she became used to them. Bea currently has all year turn-out, but in a previous yard it was herd turn out. Bea loves a good scratch, has a wonderful bond with my daughter but does not get overly attached to other horse.

This is a super sad sale for this lovely mare therefore home is more important than price. No dealers, or riding schools. Based nr Bradford on Avon. Plenty of videos available on request. Please text via WhatsApp as often unavailable for calls.

Opium is a sweet chestnut mare who has mainly done dressage and hacking in her life with the odd school round some small jumps.

Opium has had the winter off due to lack of time and despite the weather becoming nicer I do not have time for her as well as my other horse. She is currently away on schooling livery being brought back into full work. Opium has taken part in BD camps, a few PC flat work clinics, Polework clinics and loves boxing up to go to off road hacking destinations.

She has a BD record scoring 65%+ at elementary and produces accurate tests.

Opium does hack in company, she’s not the bravest with big vehicles so needs a friend. When hacking off road Opium will go on her own however this is not something we have around the yard so have to box up to do.

Opium is not a novice ride and needs consistency which at present I am unable to give her, she thrives when in a routine which has been evident since being away for schooling.

Opium is great to deal with on the ground and you never worry going into the field or stable that you could be bitten or kicked. Opium is a top mare in the field however not nasty, she just knows what she wants! She has wintered out with 4 other mares.

Opium is up to date with vaccinations, Physio, Dentist and Farrier. Opium has lived out this winter 24/7 and held her weight well however she is equally happy to be stabled.

Opium is not suitable for a novice or nervous riders, she is a lovely mare that needs a quiet knowledgeable rider to get the best out of her.

Based York.
