Bertie is a very handsome sports horse who has performed well in eventing at BE and pony club levels. Unfortunately due to no fault of his own, he sustained an injury in 2022 and has had a period of recouperation.

He is such a wonderful kind character and loves lots of attention. He is not ready to be retired and is now in light hacking work which he thoroughly loves. He would suit a teenager/adult who loves hacking and wants to continue to ride. Bertie is a safe ride but would not suit a beginner novice rider and therefore a rider with some experience would be required.

He is stabled in Stratford upon Avon and he will have to stay at this lovely yard which has excellent hacking routes.

For sale from a private genuine loving home, a pretty and sweet natured 15.2-15.3hh 15 y.o very well bred Weatherby's National Hunt ex racehorse Thoroughbred mare who has been a mum for the last 6 years of her life.

I may consider loaning her f she was kept in West Sussex

Now needs a new experienced home either as a proven broodmare or could be brought back into work with the right person. She did race, just didn't like it so she is ROR eligible.

She apparently did do a bit of show jumping and cross country in-between racing and being a mum before her current home where she has just been a broodmare for the last few years.

She would also make a nice natural horsemanship project or do some fun horse agility with.

She has been an incredible broodmare producing outstanding wonderful natured and strongly built offspring. Has taken first time both naturally and via AI. Foals easily and is a great mum, just knows her job well.

She is a very good do-er with no health issues and good feet. Upto date with vaccines, teeth rasped every year and is on a worming programme with consistantly clear worm counts.

She is used to being with mares and geldings but is scared of being bullied so needs quieter companions.

She is good to handle and transport.

Will only go to a 5 star loving and caring home with proper experience and knowledge of ex racehorse thoroughbreds!

This is an extremely difficult decision so one that will not be taken lightly.

Im looking to possibly find Belle a new home, purely because she is being wasted at the minute.

Belle is a 10yr old, 16.2h Irish sports horse, I’ve had her since she was 5 and we have learnt together to compete at discovery and new comers level.

She is good as gold under saddle and always try’s to please, however she is a forward ride and can be sharp and strong, especially at shows so she does need a confident and competent rider! Not a novice ride.

She can be a typical moody mare and does have her moments, therefore she would need an experienced, confident home ONLY.

She loves being outside, so would much prefer a home where she can be turned out as much as possible! As she can get stressy in her stable at times.
She is turned out 24/7 in summer and taken straight out the field to shows and turned straight back out when she’s back, this works for her and she is much more happier and nicer for being out!

She has been in very little to barely any work for the past couple years, just been mainly hacking, I would love to say I’m getting back into it but unfortunately my priorities are elsewhere.

Therefore, she will need time spent bringing her back into full work.

I sadly had to give up when I moved to London a couple of years ago. But now moving back home and looking for a horse.
