14.3hh traditional cob gelding

11 years old

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming, physio and farrier

Barefoot

Passported and microchipped

He is a true leg at each corner! He is great fun and very much enjoys having a job. He is very low mileage and green for his age as he was a pet and companion before coming to me.

He has been professionally broken and ridden away by myself and is now ready to find his forever home. Please note: I am the rider in the photos and I am 5ft10

He has been started slowly and correctly and is a very honest and genuine horse to work with, he is great fun and I think he would very much enjoy getting out and seeing the world. He is green for his age so I am looking for an experienced home to continue his education, so no novices please.

He happily lives in or out, is very well mannered and good to do.

He is working well in walk, trot and canter and over poles. He will happily pop a jump and has plenty of scope. He will make a fantastic allrounder, someone is definitely going to be very lucky to call him their new best friend! And he will be sorely missed.

He hacks alone on our gallops but has not hacked in traffic due to our location, the roads are just too dangerous to ride on. However he has seen a wide variety of large vehicles while he has been with us as we have had a lot of construction done on the yard. So he has seen all types of farm machinery and tractors, diggers, dumper trucks, rollers, cement mixer Lorrie’s, all sizes of wagons, wagons tipping loads. So providing he was introduced to traffic sensibly as you would any young/green horse, then I can’t see him being a bother.

Forever homes only please, no novices, no loans, no payment plans.

Serious enquiries only please.

I will not sell him unseen so please don’t ask. Homes will be vetted.

Based East Riding of Yorkshire

Messages preferred please as I am very busy right now, if I feel you potentially might be the right match/home for him calls can be scheduled

Something to turn heads

Owned since a foal so full history known. Up to date with everything, no expense has been spared.

A great nature, Alfie has done a little bit of everything over the past few months, He has a super technique over a fence and is careful. He has seen showjumps and been XC schooling.

Good basic flatwork, going in an outline in all three paces and is ready to learn more.

He has hacked alone and in company and goes up the gallops on his own & great in open spaces, used to cows/sheep etc!

Snaffle mouthed for everything. Good to box, shoe etc.

He is now ready to go on and do a further, proper job. He is safe and likes to please but please note he is still only a 4yo! With a few more miles on the clock, he will make a super all rounder/best friend for somebody.

Meet ‘Indiana Jones’ aka ‘Jake’ - 16.2hh, 11yo, beautiful sports horse gelding.
Jake has clean limbs and no vices

Jake is a super mannerly type in and out of the stable. Real easy character to have around who’s good to do everything with. Stands for farrier , good to turn out / bring in etc , good to clip, bath , groom / tack up etc etc - handled and looked after daily by a 13 year old.

Jake is lovely to ride in the school. The type the kids can kick around on the buckle or the type a more competent rider can get on and get a beautiful piece of work out of him. Has done several dressage tests , clinics etc in previous home so is well schooled up and down the transitions , makes a beautiful shape and easy to ride. Always in a snaffle , leg in each corner type

Jake hasn’t really done any jumping so is very green in this sphere although with his willing nature , I’m sure this is something they can be quickly added to his resume

Loves to the hack out. He’s happy to go alone or in company. A very easy type who’s unphased by traffic and very reliable and easy. Stands perfectly to mount , sane in open spaces and again, always in a snaffle.

As well as many dressage tests , Jake also has many miles of hacking and fun rides to add to his CV

He’s a very sweet natured chap with an athletic model , making him very classy and appealing. Most definitely the current yard favourite with my yard girls!

Jake has had a previous KS operation a couple of years ago, which he recovered from in a textbook manner with no further issues / complications / delays etc - this isn’t something that would put me off , at least you know he hasn’t got KS! No other health issues or ailments and open to any vetting.

Super Smart Gentleman

  • Lovely paces that cover the ground well.

The most heartbreaking sale due to no fault of his own but due to change in circumstances and daughter off to uni soon.
With this in mind please NO time wasters, joy riders, day trippers, dealers. His new home is paramount and be prepared that I may ask for references,we would love him to go to someone who would be happy to keep in touch.

Charlie is the most sweet natured gentleman of a horse, who loves humans. Very easy to do in all ways, he never complains and wants to please.

With previous owners he has been shown at HOYS as a maxi cob and coloured with a professional and as an amateur to RHIS 2024 by myself. He is happy to continue with showing however he is not for the competition yard life now but would suit an amateur who wants the dream of showing at big county shows and being in the rosettes. Having said that he would happy turn his hoof to dressage as he has 3 amazing paces. What he is not is a show jumper and never will be his forte! He will happy pop a log out or a small fence and enjoys this once in a while but really this is not what Charlie is made for.

He travels well and will stand in the lorry no worries and also enjoys going out to clinics and a blast on the gallops.

Charlie loves his rides out in company and alone. He has been to a few early season hound exercise meets with my daughter, where he stood still not phased by the hounds at all but he was strong in the field and much preferred to be up front however he did have breaks! And thoroughly enjoyed himself!

We feel he would be ideally suited to a mother/daughter/son share having said that he is a competition horse and not a novice ride and does need a confident jockey and you will get the best of him.

Sale to include all tack ( made to measure double bridle) GPD saddle and rugs.

Open to vetting.

Eric is a striking young horse who we’re sure will go far in any discipline.

Lovely young green horse for someone to make their own, just started the groundwork with him where he’s going happily on the longlines in tack and is eager to learn.

Eric has 3 lovely paces and sure does ooze quality so really does have potential for top sport.

Easy to deal with on a daily basis however is a big young horse so needs someone who isn’t afraid of these types.

The longer he stays with us the more he will do and his education will be continued so price will increase.

Eric really does need to be seen in person to be appreciated.

Please no novices as this is a big young green horse who’s just going to keep growing!

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Smart coloured cob gelding. Ideal weight carrier, who has been ridden by novice and experienced riders.

Hacks well in company and proved good in traffic.

Purchased for our riding centre last year to escort hacks do some lessons. Sadly he isn’t a solid lead horse as he’s not good enough in front to take customers out.

He ended up with the winter off as we were so busy but he is now back in work and being schooled and hacked by staff to improve his flat work. He has done lessons with more experienced riders and was schooled by staff on the flat regularly last year. He did hack alone with an experienced rider but he isn’t easy in his own. He is coming along nicely on the flat and with continued schooling he would do a dressage test/ riding club activities/fun rides.

He is not a first horse as he can be a bit rude on the ground hence he is a bit of a project as he stands. He will follow out hacking with a more novice rider (this is what he did mostly previous to us). May suit horsey home with more novice partner who wants to ride as well.

He is 16hh on a stick but looks & rides bigger. He will need to travel in a lorry not a trailer.

He is a lovely boy who needs more consistency and a one to one home to bring out the best in him with someone who really adores him, sad sale as we love him but he will thrive in private home. Sometimes he forgets he is so big and barges but this has improved a lot!

He is priced to sell for his type as an ongoing project.

Siangie So Oscar is a beautiful 3-year-old with a bright future ahead of him. He has the potential to excel in dressage, showing, or eventing.

So far, he has participated in many county and championship shows, including the Great Yorkshire and CHAPS, consistently placing well in competitive classes.

His conformation and movement are correct, and he is a very attractive horse.

We plan to show him during the summer season and hope to find the right home for him as a ridden horse next year. All of his groundwork is complete, and he is ready for his next loving home. He is only for sale because we have two more foals due this year.

He is very easy to handle and travels well, overnight shows, farrier and vet. Vaccinations are all up to date.

We're looking for a five-star home only and are open to vetting. Finding the right home for him is more important than the price.

Phoenix has had a very succesful show career so far, results including - 4th RIHS 2022, 2nd RIHS 2023, Qualified 2024 but didnt attend due to work commitments, Qualfied 2025 and sold with the ride

Qualified for HOYS 2022 (finished 8th) and 2023

Phoenix competes in coloured horse classes and also Maxi cob classes

He gives an exceptional ride and is always very mannerly for the ride judge, often scoring highest ride marks in his classes

Phoenix is a schoolmaster and knows his job in the ring

He also is fantastic to hack, and absolutely loves it!

Due to his lovely rhythmical and uphill paces I feel he would also be well suited to dressage.

He is Freisian X so feel this is certainly something he could excel in

He turns heads wherever he goes, he really is an oustanding horse!

Sadly available on behalf of his owner as her circumstances have changed

Whilst he is an incredibly genuine and kind horse, he would not be suited to a novice due to his size

His made to measure Black Country saddle and a Premier Equine wardrobe also available

I am looking for a dedicated home to take forward this special and talented horse who applies himself with will endeavour. Winner of Man v. Horse, June 2022 (see INVICTUS https://standardbred.org) from whence he has been with me for 3 years with full assurance of a safe and sound horse with potential to learn in other fields.

He has had a consistent programme of weekly schooling and weekend hacks where he has developed flexion, outline and a degree of balance in canter. He has achieved now canter on both reins in full and 20m circles but ongoing training is essential to mastering it fully and correcting the 'default pace gait' but he really impressively tries and is making good progress.

He maintains a wonderful working trot and tempo throughout with which to work through the aids and dressage aims. He loves jumping and has balletic moves in correcting his approach, also with raised and lain poles which engage his skills. He is an intelligent and willing horse to train and is in very fit form.

Hacking out over mixed terrain, rural lanes, hill trots, climbs, tracks, moors and through a town has given him wide experience and confidence; ideally he likes an off road adventure and does easily 6-8 miles each ride. I would l love a mature rider like myself to enjoy him and his versatility and to live in an area with good rides to explore and some cross-country jumping as a first! He has shared a field with a mare, but presently is at a part livery, strip grazed and stabled along with thoroughbred geldings.

He has no vices, except on occasion affectionate nibbling which is horse specific, and has been prevented by fencing. I have invested a lot in his potential and I would ideally like a loan home for a period as I have some family commitments ahead and need some time free.

He comes with good GP and Dressage saddles, numnahs, lunging kit, 2 bridles, rugs ....

LOAN / TRIAL PERIOD CONSIDERED.

Chaps registered beautifully marked Piebald traditional cob colt. Prince would be an asset to a stud wanting to breed coloured cobs or cross breds guaranteeing an coloured foal each time. He could be produced into a top Homozygous show/dressage Stallion a serious asset to any stud. Price would do well Chaps showing.

Currently standing just under 14 hands very bum high lots of growing and filling out to do.

He is an old-fashioned chunky true to type, with an abundance of thick long mane wedding dress tail, and lots of feather.

Neat head with small ears. with perfect solid confirmation, he is very mature for his age.

He can only get better and better with time.

Prince is home bred and handled since birth

He is brilliant to catch, stable, wears rugs, great to bath with hose and buckets, Good to clip Face etc. Good to load, He has been regularly trimmed by the farrier excellent feet , Wormed up to date.

He has a very laid-back nature with a trainable attitude to life and use to farm life with tractors farm machinery.

Prince would make a top show cob with his outstanding beautiful marking's. He is covered in ink spots with no blue eyes.

Sad sale of Ziggy Stardust who was bought June 2024 as our daughter’s first horse. Being naive first time horse owners soon realised we had bought something with issues. He had grade 4 ulcers which the vets treated and recently scoped to be given the all clear.
Things then improved and my daughter enjoyed riding, jumping him. My daughter has jumped 80cm with ease. He then began to refuse to school or lunge. We have spent 6 months trying to get to the bottom of his issues a long with our amazing vets. They did scans, scopes, x-rays and went to Newbury vets for cintography scans all tests came back clear. He was then referred to a top Equine behaviourist in Scotland who viewed videos and spoke to us & vets about his history. It came back he is very anxious and needs to be taken back to the beginning with his schooling. We sadly don’t have the knowledge or skills & time due to GCSE’s to continue with him.

He deserves someone who has the experience & knowledge to bring back into work slow & steady. He has had so much attention, love & care. He has wanted for nothing & happily show all vets letters. He will make a lovely amateur horse to take up the levels with patience & time.

Absolutely no novices as he is still young & green.

Can also include saddle & tack if wanted.

Up to date with vaccinations, farrier, dentist, Physiotherapy & saddle fitter.

A super home is a must for this lovely gelding, heart breaking genuine sale.

All previous owners & history known.

Happy for vetting, we did 5 stage vetting in June 24 and came back all good.

Blue - Full up 15.2/3h 4yr old (2021) gelding, Cob X ID type

A real head turner, oozes quality, genuine type that’s easy to do and takes everything in his stride.

Blue was recently imported over from Ireland and has progressed in the time he’s been here.

He happily hacks alone and in company, doesn’t hot up, but is forward. Good with traffic and tractors/ machinery.

Working well in the school, has three good balanced paces for a horse of his age. Leg in each corner type with a good shoulder. Taking a nice shape and working well with a soft mouth- not strong.

Has done a small amount of XC schooling, proving to be bold and eager to please- would be fabulous on the hunting field.

Done some arena hires, jumps for fun, showing a promising shape over a fence. Keeps a good rhythm round a course of fences, currently jumping around 80 with scope for more as he matures.

Has a wonderful temperament, kind and lovable, easy to do. Good to box, travel, shoe, clip, catch and lead.

Would suit a mother/ daughter share, would make a fabulous lightweight cob or small hunter in the show ring.

Introducing Tucker aka My Moonshine's Firecracker

This lovely boy came to me in September 2024 from Ireland.

Tucker's a quiet, sensitive, handsome chap who has grown like a weed since being with me - with no plans of stopping anytime soon (bum high once more!) Now starting to broaden out a little bit too - so will be very exciting to see how he ends up.

Good to catch (comes to call), good to halter, lead and handle. Happy to be rugged, have his feet done, groomed and generally be pootled around. He can take a while to warm to new people, but once he's found a friend, then you're in! He's happy to be led, load and travel, to bathe, rug in the field and have fly spray etc. applied. Has spent his time between grazing 24/7, being stabled 50/50 and is happy any which way. He's been travelled alone, is now starting to venture away from his friends without any trouble at all, and is becoming braver by the day - which we're really happy with.

Looking for a forever home for this sweet chap, where he can come out of his shell and be the centre of attention. Sadly, that's going to be impossible for him with my (rather large) herd - equine and human!

He's going to be a good allrounder for someone - once you've won his heart. Has lovely, light paces, and is really sure on his feet for a big youngster.

Mootlite For Cob Sake (Pippa) 155cm 6yo Mare

Pippa is your ultimate all-rounder and the type that will see generations in a family through any discipline. Broken as a 3yo and turned away, she has been professionally produced from a 4 year old. Her achievements to date have far surpassed any expectation I ever had and as such this is a hard decision.

Pippa is an extremely comfortable enjoyable forward ride with 3 well established mannerly paces. Great confirmation with no lumps bumps or blemishes. She is bidable and honest in every sense and loves to jump both SJ & XC. She has schooled over coloured poles at 90cm with plenty of untapped potential in this area as she has a clean, careful and powerful natural jump. Pippa has competed in dressage and behaved impeccably with her most recent score at a local training show in January 2025 of 75%.

Full history is known and while she does not have breeding recorded, she is half Irish Cob (dame) and draught (Sire). Pippa has the most wonderful temperament and is a firm favourite in the yard as she is extremely easy to do anything with including farrier, clipping, travelling, washing, lunging, over-night trips and will happily live in or out.

Pippa loves to hack alone or in company and is the most unflappable mare. She does not take a second look at traffic, animals in fields or other road users and has been used to lead out younger horses because of this strength. Your biggest challenge hacking is a loose rein and high grass as she does like a quick nibble. While, she has already proven her worth in every sense, there is so much more in the tank with Pippa and she is now primed for her next home.

Pippa does have sweetitch which was known when I bought her. This has been correctly managed with diet, herbal supplements and appropriate rugging. It has only ever been evident in her mane and tail and face and has never manifested on her body. It has never come against her in the ring as once managed, is unnoticeable.

Pippa is currently based in Kilkenny in Ireland.

Bob is a super fun bright genuine intelligent horse. I have been educating since I bought him last year. Would easily BD dressage, showjumping or great allrounder . He has 3 correct paces and a snaffle mouth .

Hacks on his own and in company round the farm and village .

Currently going to the RC instructional rides at Moreton Morrell College and loves the work.

This horse will excel with someone more ambitious than me as I just dont have time as I only purchased him as my dressage horse was lame.

He has super markings and would also be talented in coloured showing classes.

He is up to date with flu jabs, teeth, good to load and shoe.

Judges comments : Super little horse - very obedient and some very pleasing work. A lovely test to watch.

This horse has won rosettes every time out!

Will only sell to the right home, he needs a confident and enthusiastic rider as he will excel in any sphere.
