Over £1000 in winnings in 18 months

LEASE £6000

Our pony of a lifetime Starberry is now hopelessly outgrown. After much deliberation we have decided to lease rather sell as we just can't bear to part with her.

Starberry joined our family two years ago, when my daughter was suffering an extreme lack of confidence and jumping 70cm. Within weeks, they were winning 80, 90 and 1m classes time and time again, earning too many wins and placings to mention.. finally stepping up to jump the 138 teams qualifiers at WHPI with just a very unlucky pole keeping them out of the top spots.

Super careful and super fast against the clock Starberry is a push button winning machine, gaining two national championship titles and a 3rd GP place at POYS all in less than 12 months, with our high hopes for a second win at nationals scuppered by a fall and airjacket activating in the adjoining ring, sadly spooking her. Starberry is so much fun to have on the yard, always eager to please and really is the most happiest and easiest pony and we have ever owned.

It has always been our intention to keep Starberry after my daughter moved on to 148’s as she is her heart horse, but it has become clear to us that Starberry is missing the competition circuit and is far from ready for a quieter life. Heartbreaking as it is for us, we only want Starberry to be happy, and we have decided that achieving incredible things with her next jockey is really where she needs to be.

Only the very best of loving homes will be considered for this very special mare, Starberry currently enjoys a fun varied lifestyle with us, year round turnout and huge amount of love so we will be looking for a family who can offer the same.

Meet Sophie, a sweet-natured mare looking for her forever home as a non-ridden companion. Sophie is well-established in her basic handling and is good to catch, groom, pick out feet, and for both the vet and farrier.

Sophie is happiest living out 24/7 in a mixed herd and can stay alone for short periods once settled. She's a good doer, so will need restricted or sparse grazing to maintain a healthy weight. She would suit a home with similar grazing management and plenty of hay piles to avoid food-related tension with other horses.

Although Sophie isn't a ridden horse she will still make a lovely companion for another horse or pony.

The pony will want for nothing. Please WhatsApp with brief details and price, location etc if you have a pony that ticks every box and I will get back to you. Ideally 60 mile radius of Chester butt willing to travel for something special!

That said, he doesn’t need to go a competition home - we are very happy for him to step down and spend his days hacking and being pampered - he owes us nothing! Likewise, happy for him to go to a dressage or showing home.

An absolute sweetheart on the ground - easy to handle, clip, shoe, box etc. Restricted grazing required.

  • Prefers to live out 24/7 in a mixed herd

- Based at a foster yard in Leicestershire -

Phillip is a sweet 5-year-old, 13hh piebald cob gelding looking for a caring home as a non-ridden companion. He currently lives happily in a mixed herd and thrives living out 24/7, as he does find stabling stressful. Phillip is beginning to build trust with his handlers and becomes easier to catch once he knows you.

He is good to lead, groom, and pick up his feet, though he is still settling into new routines. Phillip can be nervous with the vet and farrier, so he needs calm, patient handling and professionals experienced with sensitive ponies. With ongoing positive experiences, his confidence will continue to grow.

Phillip is best suited to a quiet, experienced home that can offer plenty of turnout, consistent but gentle handling, and the time he needs to build trust. With patience and reassurance, he will make a lovely and loyal companion.

Please adopt Phillip
