Total Diamond of a pony 12/12.1h 5year old mare a really kind genuine pony taken my daughter from nervous leadrein to confident off lead.

Snaffle mouth goes nicely off the leg without constant kicking, just keeps a nice rythm, pops round a course of jumps done many little shows and behaves like she does at home.

Harlow is the gold dust type hard to find my daughter is ready for a bigger pony and the next step up.

Harlow has given my daughter so much confidence on the flat, jumping and hacking she really is a lovely little pony a total pleasure have.

She will teach to ride for many years and make a super pc type.

Good to box, feet, clip, load and travel.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Well bred first ridden show pony. Has done pony club, showing and some side saddle.

Sadly wasted with us as my son is too big and daughter has another pony in the same class.

Lovely in the stable with the children fussing, good to catch, box and with farrier.

Can be left for weeks and children just hop on. No lunging, calmers or plugs used with us.

Priced to reflect he’s spent most of winter in the field, although has been to pony club a few times recently.

Must be sold as new bigger pony found for my son, open to offers to the right home.

11.2 hh 9 year welsh section A chestnut gelding

Toffee is a smart little pony with lovely movement , clean limbs and correct conformation

Has been ridden by all members of the family doing everything from mounted games to fun rides showjumping competitions and pony club.

He is a complete confidence giver as they have to kick to get him going but then once he knows they want to go he will keep going. He will go up or down a level according to his rider. A more competent child has jumped him round a course of 70cm complete with fillers .

He is safe in group situations, will go first or last and will leave other ponies not being nappy .

He loves his jumping and will jump fillers rustic and coloured. I'd say he is that perfect first filler pony as he will pop them without jumping children off

He is a tough sound little pony. Would happily live out never had laminitus or any health problems.

Toffee would hold his own in cradle stakes classes and has done showing in previous homes

Please whattsapp for hundreds of videos or call for a chat . Seen in warwickshire

Always handled by children, easy to fetch in, no fuss.

Lives in our out. Has had mild Laminitis bit easily controlled with restricted grazing.

We have had our beautiful Mo since she was 6 months old. She is 11.1hh and looking for her new best friend. She turned 5 in April and was professionally backed 2 years ago where she was fussed over and loved by the children at their pony club.

She was ridden lightly by my 4 year old daughter and then turned away for the winter.

She was brought back into work last year and since then has been handled and ridden on the lead rein by a 3 year old.

She has been an absolute dream however now needs someone to take her further and give her the job she desperately wants and needs.

She is happy living in or out. Good with the farrier, dentist, clipping and loading/travelling.

I have plenty of photos and videos on request.

This is a sad sale so please only contact if you are genuinely interested.

Lead Rein Family Pony Allrounder

£3,500 ONO
  • Cob

  • Gelding
  • 6 years
  • 12.1 hands
  • Pony Club Rallies Gymkhana Poles
  • Family Pony brought on by Children
  • All Round Fun Kind Pony
Hank has been produced predominantly by children, my eldest son has done a lot of the ground work, unfortunately he has had a growth spurt and is now far too big for him.

My youngest son is ready to come off the lead rein, and although Hank hasn’t put a foot wrong with him, he is still young and I feel he needs more education. I think Hank would be best suited as a lead rein pony or a second pony or perhaps would suit a family with a few jockeys as he will then grow into an all round pony. He is chunky enough to carry a small light weight adult, possibly a mother share too.

We are Pony Club Members and Hank has attended indoor and outdoor rallies, we’ve done poles, small jumps, gymkhana games, bridges, simon says (learning fun games).

Off the lead rein my eldest son has jumped 30-40cms courses, we’ve done arena hires and we have done some cross country fences. Introduced fillers, Hank is very brave, not phased by coffins, carpets, flags, he will also follow the leader/handler through anything.

Hank has had a small adult ride him too, to help establish his flat work, correct bend and way of going, he has grown a lot in strength and muscle and this is still work in progress due to his age. He is in regular work, fit, he lunges, long reins and I believe he has been in harness in previous home.

Hank is up to date with teeth, farrier, back, vaccinations. He is good to clip, I do his face with smaller battery clippers. He stood on the trailer for his teeth. He is good to load, travel and stand on box.

Hank lives in during the winter and out in the day, due to his breed I restrict his grass now, he has a small paddock pen. He hasn’t had laminitis but he is the type and I monitor his hay, as he loves food.

Hank is good with traffic, inc. motorbikes, tractors, gators, dogs, cats and very loud children.

Hank is very kind, he loves fuss and his people, he follows me everywhere, very sad sale.

Hank can be seen in Essex, excellent trial facilities, moved to a friend's yard as I start new full time business soon. Hank is ridden by children and shown by children. Suit Lead rein or depending on ability, child that is established in giving aids and balanced in canter, Hank is very honest but due to his age needs direction from his rider.

Toby is quite the awesome little pony. Great on or off the lead rein.

Totally wasted here with us. Needs a more competitive home. He has only learnt to jump with us at a later age because he was on a holiday home ( camping place) and was only viewed and patted by others. He was broken in (just) when I bought him and has come on so much in one year. As an adult I ride him ( I don't like too) as my grand daughter is not here very much and has other interests now. This is the full reason why I need to find him a good home and it is not fair on him.

Since being with us he has done several shows where my grand daughter even jumped him off the lead rein. He Won a showing lead rein In very good company. Did Tiny tots W/H and placed out of about 15 others. It is very rare he is out of the ribbons. He has never refused, even with me. He is a strong built little pony. One young girl jumped him the other day for me and he and she loved it ( his first 60/70 height).

He has 2 blue eyes which match him perfectly.

I have shod him in front before. He likes a clip. Goes to shows on his own. He is very good in traffic.
The right Home is very important.

Daisy has sadly been outgrown after 3 awesome years with her current jockey.

Daisy has attended all pony club activities, rally’s and camps. She has been competing at 50/60cm but plenty of scope for more.

Daisy is a forward going but safe ride. She hacks out alone and is brilliant in open spaces.
She puts up with kids climbing on her and flapping about on top.
She would suit a brave child who doesn’t mind a pony with extra gears.

She is easy to shoe, load, travel, clip, catch, turnout etc.

There are hundreds of references available who will vouch for this super pony.

She is available to the best of homes only as she has been a much loved family pony.

Daisy is open to any inspection/ vettings.

This stunning rising 5y.o mare has been slowly and carefully produced.

She hacks out alone or in company and is fantastic in the heaviest of traffic. She is a forward going, responsive ride, not your typical cob and certainly not a kick along!

She has three balanced paces. Has been to several clinics and arena hires and is proving to be the most fabulous jumping pony with scope to burn.

She has not been rushed and is currently happily jumping 50/60cm.

She is a pleasure to handle, will stand and be brushed all day, happy to be turned out alone or in company. Super feet and is currently bare foot.

She is ridden by a lightweight adult, 11y.o and also has recently started teaching my 2y.o the ropes on the leadrein and has been absolutely saintly.

She is a sort hard to find as so genuine and honest with the potential to suit the whole family.

Will no doubt make the perfect pony club all-rounder. Mother/ daughter share.

Kind and knowledgeable loving home is a must!

Full up 122cm 5year old mare - Newoak Prosper x Fofsway Desiree (eligible part bred)

This is a heartbreaking sale of my much loved Jasmine. I bred her and she will only go to the best of homes.

Jazz was lightly backed over the winter and has taken it all in her stride. She has been long reined out on the roads and lunges with no problem. She has been sat on and led around and not fazed in the slightest. And been out hacking with a teenager. She has since been turned away as we concentrated on our other ponies.

She has the most amazing temperament loves people and children. Jazz is kept on a working farm and has seen all farm machinery and animals and never worried. Can be left out on her own. She is a true child’s pony and will be groomed all day, great to clip, farrier, catch and load.

I feel she would be a fantastic lead rein she has presence, up to height and hasn’t been spoilt.

I just don’t have the time she deserves and my daughter has two other ponies she is competing.

Beau is only offered for sale due to lack of interest from my daughter who has just turned 4 and this pony is far too good to be a field ornament.

In his previous home he took his jockey from lead rein to doing first ridden classes and pony club off the lead including cross country many pictures and videos can be sent.

I feel Beau would excel in a home with a confident young jockey who wants to get out and have some fun, in the right hands I feel he could easily go to the top in showing with his full brother qualifying for Hoys.

He is excellent to handle very patient and calm, will stand for as long as you want him to, to be fussed and loved over, easy for children to tack up he doesn’t pull any faces and will open up for his bit on his own so brilliant for a child wanting to do more themselves.

Beau has always been in a family home environment and I would love to find him a similar home just with an older keen jockey as he really deserves to be having fun, he is a very chunky 11.2 so takes a lot of leg.

He will only be sold to the best of homes with the correct jockey for him, no loans so please respect this.

He has a Black Country saddle that is available at separate negotiation

We have had five and a half fun-packed years with Harry, he is now sadly outgrown and my daughter is busy competing on her 13.2hh. I had hoped to keep him for my younger daughter but she just isn't interested.

Harry did step down nicely to do the job of first pony for us and taught my daughter then aged 7 to ride, on the lunge, progressing to riding by herself around the school, jumping small courses and attending weekly pony club rallies. He also did the same for his previous owner's little boy. However, I would say Harry would be much happier being a second pony, he is clever, he has an engine and he can be strong jumping bigger courses.

In his time with us he has done PC and NSEA jumping and dressage, however he has not been out for quite a while due to being outgrown, a broken wrist (trampoline) and other sports commitments, we have kept him ticking over, so he is fit and ready to go. He has jumped around 80/85cm courses at home and on clinics. On the few occasions we have taken him cross country schooling, he has gone up/down steps, jumped ditches and gone through the water. He has participated in sponsored rides, he is safe in open spaces cantering in the fields, and has given my daughter the joyous feeling of galloping on Camber Sands beach at dawn! He has been to pony club camp and he has previously participated in some mounted games winter pairs competitions and training.

Harry is great to hack alone/company. He has been a lead rein pony for us too and I have regularly taken him out with a child on board in one hand and dog in the other. My daughter from quite a young age would take him for a good canter around the fields alone, sometimes following a herd of deer, whilst I walked up with our dogs. He has been well behaved when we've met traffic on our lanes. He is good to load and travel, but prefers company.

Harry has no vices - apart from his love of eating, but sadly for him, he is kept on a strict diet! He is absolutely no bother to catch, bath, clip, vet, farrier (barefoot). He would suffer from sweet itch and also get a sunburnt nose so I keep him protected during the season. He has never been lame or unwell, my physio checks him when she does our horses and he's never needed any treatment. He's always perky, friendly and happy to see you.

I think as a working hunter pony is where Harry's talent lies. He goes in a lovely outline and he is great over rustic fences. He is gorgeous looking and wears a beautiful white mask on his face. In his previous home he had a very successful showing career. He can also produce a very smart dressage test. My ideal home for Harry would be with a competent rider who enjoys dressage/showing or whp and would get the absolute best from him.

£5500 or £6000 including his Kent and Masters Pony Club saddle and full wardrobe. Open to vetting. Sad sale of a much loved pony. 5* home most important.

Rosie is a beautiful 13.2hh grey roan 6 year old Mothers/Childs/Teenagers Dream.

She is gentle, kind and genuine, a pony who loves and gives affection.

Ridden by all ages and abilities on and off Lead Rein and also leads off another horse. She would be a first ridden for a competent child/person.

She has been ridden on roads, through rivers, on the beach and numerous adventures with children and petite adults.

She has been quietly produced, with a soft snaffle mouth and shows 3 well balanced paces. She is a pleasure to have around and handle both in and out of the stable.

She would suit both non horsey and experienced parents.

Rosie is good with Farrier, to Box and Clip.

She has no vices, lumps or bumps and runs with both geldings and mares. She lives in or out.

Rosie is a happy willing learner and would do well being produced further in PC / RC Activities.

Meet Rupert: a stunning black 12.3hh Welsh part bred gelding with fabulous breeding for show.
An extremely kind and gentle temperament; he will suit a beginner/novice and grow nicely with his rider.

Sire: Dinsdale Lonestar (winner of WPCS bronze and silver medals in hand)
Dam: Crafton Lady In Red (also a champion)

Rupert is a superstar in the show ring and easy to handle in all ways - flashy, moving beautifully - and will do well under saddle in the big ring. He has largely participated in local dressage and shows; winning multiple times in the last 3 years (happily in stand all day long at shows in between competitions).

Rupert also hacks out alone or in company like a dream. He will stand happily and be bathed, groomed and pampered.

Rupert is fully suitable for lead rein, in hand, in school canter/walk, dressage and hacking of all types. He needs some leg, but is very responsive, so ideal for any type of rider (his current jockey has had him since the age of 8 as her second pony).

He is a really sweet boy, now looking for his next loving home. Travel, load, shoe, clip, catch: all fantastic. Dream pony to have on any yard.

He doesn’t have jumping experience but is currently being trained to jump.

Reluctant sale as young rider has outgrown him. Saddle and rugs included. 5* homes only considered.

Fully vetted (5 stage) on 6th November by Rainbow Equine Hospital with clean bill of health for insurance.

Xylia has been a wonderful pony we owe her everything she is a much loved pony we’ve owned and enjoyed her for 5 fantastic years!!

She will happily lead rein or equally happy as a first ridden. She can also step it up a gear and be competitive when the rider is ready!!

I bought xylia when my daughter was 5, she’s been her best friend ever since, she’s taught my daughter all the basics to ride, from lead rein to jumping her up to 70 cm. She’s happy to be lunged while the children learn.

She’ll stand while they jump on and off her, stand on her, ride her backwards.

Xylia has now given my daughter the confidence and love to go onto jumping BS tracks.

She’s done all pony club events, attending camp, rallies, x country rides, fun rides. She’s always impeccably behaved standing patiently for hours on end.

The children can do all her care with her, grooming, mucking out leading her in and out of the stable.

She’s great to hack, down tracks in open fields, bare back, bridleless!!!

Hopelessly outgrown, I’ve put it off as long as I can but now is the time for her to teach another child the ropes. Very sad sale.

I would like her to go to a knowledgeable home preferably not a first time horse owner. We would be very keen to stay in touch, as I am with her previous owners.

I have an endless amount of videos and pictures it’s difficult to narrow them down. Please call anytime for more information.

Every little girls dream Barbie pony! Star is never out of the ribbons.

He is a real family pony who also enjoys hacking and PC. However, he has the potential to go to the top in the LR showing/workers world.

He is handled daily by my petite 8yo: grooms, turns out, catches, loads etc all by herself.

He's super to take to shows and stands on the trailer all day (travels lorry or trailer).

He qualified for London, Burghley and NPS Scotland Finals at the first attempt.

Star has so much still to offer a small LR jockey to then progress together.

Wasted with us as my daughter is completely off the LR and has lost interest in showing...now focussing on JRN WH and SJ with no younger siblings.
