We are searching for a new partner for our daughter to progress with, due to her sadly outgrowing her current horse. She has been competing at around 80cm & has schooled up to 1m at home. We would like to find a horse for her to form a new partnership with, to help take her up the levels with & to work towards competing at SJ around 1m +.

Aside from SJ, our daughter also enjoys hacking from home, forest rides, attending clinics, lessons, XC & she would like to do one day events. Therefore, we are looking for a fun, but sensible, allrounder to enjoy a variety of activities & with the ability to compete at the levels she is now ready for.

Our horses are kept at home with us & our daughter is involved in all aspects of their care, so we would like a trustworthy, well-mannered character who enjoys attention.

We will be venturing out quite regularly, so would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel & who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is very important that her new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* We do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & we’re open to compromise, but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as we will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

Seeking my next perfect pony! Must haves between - 14.2h and 15.2h, between - 6 and 15 , although would change for the perfect one.

All year round turn out on private land , living with a Connie gelding and mini Shetland gelding ( can be in separate field)

My preferred breed is a chunky traditional Connemara just because I love the breed so much my previous Connemara gave me so much but he is retired now , but would consider something else that fits the bill , but Connies really are my fav !

I previously had a bad accident with my last pony on the road with a tractor and my confidence is very low , it's very important that my next pony is very safe confidence giver. I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

I have had weekly dressage lessons for over a year and then monthly lessons with jumping the year before , spent a lot of time hacking ,before my accident. I have had horses for many years and was a competent rider until my accident where I lost confidence.

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.
