DOLLY
Gorgeous 2013 14.2hh coloured cob mare. A lovely easy family type who’s successfully shown. Dolly is a lovely stamp, she’s a weight carrier and really takes up the leg.

She’s well schooled and has done plenty of showing and dressage, with extremely comfortable paces.

Shes been cross country, done low level showjumping shows and riding club activities, she’s careful over a fence, bold and she does enjoy it, she’s also done pleasure rides.

She’s a kind mare, has been ridden by riders of all abilities including children and she’s and out and out confidence giver. A really nice type, no flaws and a great allrounder cob / family cob / confidence giver.

Dolly is all a happy hacker could wish for, she will take on the worst traffic and is easy going, does it all on the buckle when alone and in company. Super cob, hard found.

The sweetest and most genuine cob you could wish for! To make someone very happy, a super family cob, happy hacker, would possibly suit riding school. Carrot is a super chap, as wide as he is tall and like riding a comfy small armchair. He loves his hacking alone and in company, hasn’t been at all bothered by any traffic met with us and is very sensible.

He’s not the fastest but not overly bothered if out in company and he gets left behind by his sportier friends! Carrot is working sweetly in the school in all paces and will trot over a little jump, he’s very keen to please, he is still green but obedient to the aids and learning about outlines; he’s naturally very together on the flat , he’s a lovely mover and will with further schooling do a lovely dressage test.

He’s a super model of a traditional cob who moves really well and would do well in show ring (TGCA would be ideal for him) He’s still on the greener side of things but a very simple ride and always tries to please, his brain is wonderful to work with. He has been ridden by a variety of riders with us from confident novice upwards, everyone loves him! He has the most lovely can do attitude and just gets on with whatever you ask of him. With a bit more schooling he will do a very neat dressage test. Whatever he ends up doing he will give a lot of fun.

Carrots lovely temperament continues in and out the stable, he’s excellent to catch, box, clip, bath, feet trim ( barefoot v good feet) and just wants to be your friend.

Everyone who has met him falls in love with him. He doesn’t drive yet but would look wonderful in harness and has the right brain to do this job safely.

He has a lot to offer his new owners and we look forward to seeing him make someone really happy.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Clip, shoe, load, tack up and groom.

He has mainly hacked and will happily go out in the trailer to different locations or hack down the busiest street.

Has done fun rides - ended up leading others on his first fun ride.

Has started schooling and doing poles - showing a positive attitude and becoming fitter and understanding more. Please note he’s not ready made with the schooling as this has not been my interest, but his current sharer has taken this on.

Excellent with children, dogs, sheep etc.

Doesn’t need restricted grazing but respects electric fencing.

No illnesses or injury’s and open to any vet.

Upto date with everything.

Comes with fully professionally fitted tack.

- Based at our Burford centre -

Tweety Pie is a sweet-natured, affectionate little cob mare who is looking for a loving companion-only home. She adores attention, enjoys being around people, and is happiest when she can be part of someone’s daily routine.

She is easy to catch, lead, and groom, making her a pleasure to handle. She does need a bit of continued support with having her feet picked out—she can be a little fidgety, but is improving with consistent training.

As a companion, Tweety Pie is fantastic with both mares and geldings, settling nicely into a herd and keeping the peace. She can live out year-round or part stable, depending on your setup. Being a typical good-doer, she will need restricted grazing to help manage her weight.

Tweety Pie would love a home where she can enjoy in-hand walks with a friend, spending quality time exploring and bonding.

If you’re looking for a kind, cuddly companion horse who will brighten your yard, Tweety Pie may be your perfect match.

Geoff is a 14.2hh chunky Bay Blagdon gelding, 4 years

We have had Geoff since the start of summer and he was purchased as a project. Sadly a change in my work circumstances force a sale earlier than I would have liked. That being said, he has been broken to ride lightly and is proving to be everything we hoped.

He has a placid, sweet but brave nature and is fabulous to be around. Catch, lead, tie up, muck out round, groom, farrier. He has a lovely nature with other horses too.

Over summer he has worn tack, long reined in the school and on the lane and has been ridden round the school and on the lane. Nothing has been rushed, he has then been turned away for a number of weeks and brought back in. The fact that we brought him in, tacked him straight up and got on for a stroll round the arena and the yard is indicative to the nature of this lovely cob. Easy, unflappable and trainable.

He is young and green so will be sold to a knowledgeable home only, however, he is going to make someone a fabulous cob with size and substance. They don’t make them like this anymore. We can also continue with his education for the short term (should his new owner wish).

Serious enquiries only. He is based near Whalley, Lancashire. He can come with tack by separate negotiation and we can arrange transport nationally.

Geoff is sound, never sick or sorry, no sweetitch, great feet and no sarcoids.

He is open to vet.

5* home only
Serious enquiries only already hard enough.

Sally is an absolutely stunning 13hh piebald cob mare, 16 years old, and without a doubt one of the most beautiful and sweetest ponies you could ever meet. She truly has a heart of gold and the kindest temperament you could wish for. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her gentle nature and pretty looks.

Sally is a genuine little treasure who loves people, attention, and being pampered. She has the sweetest personality and is a real confidence-giver, making her the perfect “kiddy pony” who will look after her rider. She is kind, forgiving, and sensible both on the ground and under saddle, and would suit a beginner jockey or a small rider wanting a safe, loving pony.

While Sally isn’t the strongest jumper, she has jumped up to 80cm with a few tries; however, she is being sold more as a happy hacker and showing pony, where she really excels. When fit, her maximum as a full course is 60cm. She has been out to showjumping shows, sponsored rides, showing shows, and has even competed at nationals, where she proudly came runner-up. She takes everything in her stride and is a pleasure to take out and about.

Sally absolutely loves hacking and is happy and mannerly, making her ideal for fun rides, Pony Club activities, and family enjoyment. She also has a few adorable party tricks that she really enjoys doing — I would love for these to be continued in her new home as she clearly loves showing them off and engaging with her people.

Sale is through absolutely no fault of her own and is due to lack of space and time. She has sadly been outgrown ability-wise and is currently being wasted, which is not fair on such a special pony. She deserves a loving home where she can be enjoyed, spoiled, and treated as the little star she is.

Gypsy is a beautiful blagdon cob who has just turned 3 years old. I’ve owned him since he was 6 months old, and he has been an absolute pleasure to have.

He has a lovely, kind temperament and is excellent to handle. Gypsy will happily stand in the stable and be groomed all day by children, making him a genuine, easy pony in every way. He has lovely movement and plenty of presence.

Gypsy has been lightly backed and then turned away, so he is now a blank canvas ready for his next chapter. He is very willing, takes everything in his stride, and shows great potential to excel in riding, showing, or driving.

This is a truly lovely pony who is now ready to go to a new, loving home.

George - Rising 5 years, very smart Irish cob

He would make a lovely allrounder

He has such a sweet personality and would stand to be pampered all day long! Has been great to catch/farrier/clip/load ect. He rides well in the arena and has been super to hack out alone or in company in traffic ect.

Great mover so would do a lovely dressage test.

He wouldn’t suit a total novice as still needs confidence from his rider, absolutely no badness whatsoever just needs miles. Not a spooky type.

He really is a lovely chap who is ready to be loved and go and see the world!
