11.3 chestnut mare.

Been ridden on and off lead rein with us but unfortunately not a first year first ridden for a child coming of the lead rein yet. May well do that job in the future with a few more miles on the clock.
Happily goes of lead rein with confident child and did some jumping in her previous home.
Would benefit from a home with winter turnout or she is jolly!
Happy to be brushed and lead in and out by a child, has proved easy to catch and handle with us.
She’s had her back and teeth done and is up to date with vaccinations/worming.

Sadly we don’t have room for another lead rein pony.

Loving long term home wanted for this lovely little mare.

Rosie schools beautifully in all 3 paces. Has been schooled professionally. Currently ridden by my 8 year old daughter.

Shares the field/arena with mares and geldings. Good to clip, good to trim, good to load either lorry or trailer, by herself or in company.

Rosie is very much loved by us all, only for sale as daughter is moving on.

Amber has been an amazing pony, doing everything her rider wanted and more!

As you can see in the videos the girls can go out alone for hours on there ponies being children videoing each other and I never have to worry amber alway brings her home safe.

Very fast against the clock showjumping we have taken her out many times in the ribbons unaffiliated. She did affliate in her previous home. Very brave cross country doing all the bigger fences. Excellent paces always placed dressage.

Amber is very forgiving and easy to stop but at the same time is not a plod to very easy to learn and progress on. She is ridden by adults as well I regularly hack her out.

On the ground she is so loving. A dream to do everything with. Will stand on her own on the lorry. Can clip her without her head collar on.

Very sad sale due to lack of time.
5 star home only.
Based Elsenham, Essex.

  • Seamie - 14.2hh 7yo Irish Cob X Gelding

Seamie is a truly wonderful, well built sturdy gentleman who is light on his feet, with a heart of gold and plenty of talent.

A traditional Irish pony, who’s participated in all pony club activities with the Meath pony club in Ireland. Extremely experienced out hunting and has several seasons with the Meath hunt under his belt, he will take on the widest of ditches and biggest if hedges without a blink, he is sure footed and totally reliable in the field.

A machine cross country, very brave, honest and reliable. Competed ODE, Hunter trials, pairs jumping.
Would be ready for a BE career.

Seamie rides well in the school with attractive paces, great balance and a comfortable canter. Will turn a hoof in the show ring too with some training.

Competed SJ competitions at 80/90cm level. Has a bold jump and a forgiving nature, a great technique and naturally careful. Certainly would affiliate BS and be a super fun pony to produce further and put your own stamp on for BN/ Discovery classes.

Very good to hack, alone and in company, in open spaces and all types of traffic.

A real one in a million, very special, super-cob pony.

No vices

Teddy - 13.3 9 year old registered newforest gelding

For sale £4000 including full tack ( saddle and bridle ) we’ve had him in our riding school for over 4 months he’s great for the bigger kids and small adults but he’s not a beginner/1st pony nervous novice as can have the odd nap,so selling him as we need something for all levels his size - would swap for a first pony -

He does pull a face in the stable and can be nappy with small kids who are novices- he’s fab for the older kids and ones who can ride a bit

Been there done a bit of everything. Sensible level headed type , knows his job in the school

Forgiving of mistakes to jump and will jump all fillers planks ect he’s not a stopper or sharp or silly

Would be great for pony club

Good to clip catch travel shoe ect can go out on his own or with others - will live out 24/7 and loves turnout

Will stand all day to be groomed - has hunted and done showing and jumps anything - good to hack- works on the bit in all 3 paces -

Lovley nature , no health issues or Injury’s

Fully up to date- he’s not a small little girls pony or first pony he needs to go to a pony club fun home with a kid or small adult or who can ride - ideal mother/daughter share - he will stay in the school until sold- fit healthy and in full work - very popular with our clients - we just need something to teach the little ones just off lead and he’s not right for that. He’s a solid type- lives on fresh air- in a snaffle for everything.

Super smart and sweet boy to handle, good with children, dogs farm machinery etc.

Previously ride and drive, although for the last year he has been on loan to a friend as a companion to their tb, they have hacked him occasionally but would need bringing back in to work properly, so he would make a great little summer project for someone.

I've not got the time or room to have him back home.

Looking to buy a cob between the ages of 5 - 10yo, preferably 14.2 - 14.3hh but minimum 13.3 - 15hh maximum

Mainly for hacking out on Dartmoor; I would do some basic schooling. And maybe some low jumps in the field or on the moor.

We own a 3.84 acre field in very good condition with natural and artificial shelter; the cob will need to live out.

As with our 3 equines we've owned, it would be a home for life.

Only able to travel Devon / Cornwall to view / ride one.

It would need to be easy to handle, good in traffic and have a lovely temperament and decent conformation.

He has also taken part in a few ODE as he loves his jumping !

Great to clip, shoe & travels in a trailer or a box.

He is forward going so not a novice ride.

He doesn't have a bad bone in his body but he is a sensitive soul.

He does have a few small sarcoids but never bothered him.

Our wonderful 13.2 is looking for a new home.

He has been there and done it all and is the most honest and genuine pony. His true love is hacking and trail hunting and we have had many happy days with him. He is now looking for a quieter life where he hacks, does fun rides and has a few days trail hunting.

He is so sensible and safe out hacking and really enjoys it. He is 100% in all traffic and farm machinery. Used to all sorts of animals having lived on a farm.

He has had laminitis, so needs careful grass management but we manage this with a good routine. He does like company, so wouldn’t be able to live alone.

He will only go to a loving and knowledgable home.

Stunning Welsh section C for sale. Real headturner with incredible paces and breeding.

Duster is a 5yo welsh section C gelding.

Bay with 4 perfect matching whites and a stripe!

13.3h/14h with lots of filling out to do. He has beautiful paces and will be a winner In the show ring. He is incredibly well bred and has a Welsh pony passport

Hes very chilled and has no vices. Super friendly and loves fuss. He lives out Currently and is in a mixed herd and gets on with mares and geldings.

He's been to a few shows and been placed at every show.

Duster has been backed since a 3yo but taken very gently and only hacked until basics were established and then turned away again to grow.

This year he has done more hacking and has just spent a week with a professional learning the art of the arena.

He is now starting to work into a consistent outline and is walking, trotting and doing some basic canter work, also popping 70cm with great ease. He has a beautiful movement and a canter to die for.

He has also been taken out into the open fields where he was extremely mannerly and sensible in walk trot and canter.

Duster was purchased as a yearling and has grown up in a family home surrounded by children of all ages, one with learning disabilities and we trust duster to be loose on the yard with these children, as well as dogs ,cats, mares, geldings, shetlands and youngstock. He just fits in. Duster is good to catch, load, travel, be groomed, bathed and good for the farrier and dentist.

Duster is looking for a home that has the ability to continue to educate him, and take him on to be the competition pony he absolutely aspires to be.

This pony is going to be a very suitable kids/teenagers competition / pony club pony and is not naughty or silly, but he does need furthering in his education. He needs a rider who has a greater level of experience than him who can teach and guide him.

He's been handled by children and is very sweet. He is so easy going. Looking for new home through no fault of his own, really genuine sale. Please get in contact if you require any more information.

Lucky is incredibly calm at shows, he loves to jump and is super careful over fences.

He has serious speed if you want it. Really fun and has never stopped.

Loves xc, and has given his rider tonnes of confidence.

Has competed up to 80 but would be capable of more.

Previously

  • Mini SJ Champs 2022 placed 3rd out of 90 competitors
  • NSEA Champs 2022, 70cm placed 8th out of 150 competitors.

Lucky is a fantastic hunting pony, calm at the meet, good with hounds will go first or last and happy to do gates etc.

Always ridden in a snaffle.

Forward going but not silly or strong.

Would prefer a confident rider.

Very good stable manners, easy to do on the ground.

He doesn’t get attached to other ponies, hacks alone and in company. Good in all traffic and open spaces.

Good to catch, box, shoe, clip etc

Extremely sad sale, as now outgrown. Loving experienced home wanted for this brilliant pony.

Fantastic Second Pony

Ref #: 342179
£4,000
  • Arab Part Bred
  • Grey
  • Mare
  • 13 years
  • 13.2 hands

Our Poppy is looking for her next forever home, as she is very sadly wasted and completely outgrown now, this is something we never thought we would do and is heartbreaking for us, so please no time wasters.

Poppy is a 14 y/o ( this year ) welsh b x arab. No medical history at all but some minor cosmetic blemishes. She has been with us for 6 years and previously came from the family who bred her, so only ever had 2 homes in her life.

In the 6 years we have had Poppy she has been out and about to clinics, lessons, countless local shows and unaffiliated dressage. She has had all sorts of riders on her from novices to experienced riders, however she isn’t a novice ride. While she hasn’t done much hacking, she will happily wander down the lane with another horse, she won’t really lead but doesn’t do anything nasty just not the most confident, this is the same in new environments as well as the roads.

Poppy is typical mare, she pulls faces in the stable, but has impeccable manners, never walks through you or come out her stable. She requires a confident rider to hold her hand and takes reassurance from her rider.

Poppy schools beautifully on the flat with the right person but it does take time to understand how she works, she’s certainly no pushbutton pony and doesn’t work like clockwork. She will pop a cross pole but jumping isnt her forte.

If you are looking for a showjumping / low level event pony, she is not for you, ideally we would like her to have a low level dressage / showing / pony racing home with a confident gutsy child that wants a quick, fun pony to whizz around with. Equally, she is a gem on the lead rein so wouldn’t mind her going to a smaller child, as long as an experienced home, or even a very small lightweight adult.

To load Poppy is an angel, she trots onto our 7.5 tonne every time, travels like a dream and will stand all day on or next to the box at shows with a haynet.

Poppy has previously been on a 2 week trial at a busy riding school who wished to try her but riding school life wasn’t for her, she needs her one special person to love her like we do and thrives off a routine.

While Poppy is perfect in our eyes, this is a very honest advert as she is quirky and understandably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and it essential she finds the perfect forever home. Home is far more important than price, we would like her to go with her saddle that has been fitted to her, other tack / rugs / wardrobe available too. Long term lease also considered.

Please get in touch for more information, open to any vetting and as many viewing as you like, we can’t stress enough that home is of utmost importance!

Homes will be vetted and references required to ensure the most suitable forever home.

Beautiful 10 year old grey pony standing at 13.2 hands. We have had the absolute pleasure of Princess for four years and she has given my daughter so much joy and confidence.

It is a very reluctant sale to see her go but my daughter has sadly outgrown her. She has been a mothers dream for a first pony and has taken my daughter so far.

This talented pony loves to jump 40cm-1m and has had a successful show record at unaffiliated shows and has schooled round all the larger British eventing xc fences always giving her best.

She turns her hoof to flat work, cross country, trail hunting, hacking out and is super safe on the roads in groups of others or individually, also a pleasure to ride on the beach and bareback.

Princess has never shown any vices on or off the ground. She is super easy to load, shoe, clip and gets along well with others in the field. Don't miss the chance to own this fantastic pony that is sure to bring joy to her next jockey.

Can be seen and tried in Great Hallingbury, Hertfordshire.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Hi Ladies and gentleman . I’m Vinnie as you can see I’m a chocolate dun stud muffin.

Approx 150 cm of chunky hunky Connemara my dad was Ross fear bui, (he’s bit of a breeding legend ).

I’m on the look for a new mumma or dude. Someone who has been there done that knows horses . My perfect new match would love exploring the countryside and heading out on pleasure rides.

Dressage divas and Show jump superstar im not for you. Im rock solid in traffic. Love to pop the odd log. Just love exploring new places seeing the sites . I’m not a fan of going round and round in circles in that school thing , it just not my dream job. but don't mind the odd session.

I’m pretty intelligent you need to have a bit about you as if you’re too soft I’ll test out your skills, which means I’ll take you to a bush to find blackberry’s and giggle while I’m doing it , then see how long it takes you to pull me out . I don’t Do airs above the ground or anything far to much effort . My mother calls me one in a million and the best thing she has ever hacked, what ever that means. Lots of her friends have ridden me , some of them are nervous so I make sure I take good care of them.

I had a bit of inflammation in my suspensorys 1.5 years ago mother got me stabbed with steriods and some shockwave. Been hacking, long pleasure rides and light schooling since all hunky-dory. I've not needed treatment since. Being mentioned to be transparent, im sure most people wouldn't say.

I’m happy taking those little cheeky monkeys out on their ponies( mother calls it lead and ride ). Happy to head out solo or with my mates on a hack . Also don’t really stress when my mates head off in the field .

I’m generally a pretty laid back dude. If I’m going out for an exploration I’m better in a lorry or trailer without a partition .

I headed over from Ireland when I was four and been with my current mum since then . I’m nine now.

So if you think you might be my perfect match give my pa a message and she will start filtering the response to find my perfect home (she’s very particular and knows what I’m after a five star match, she’s want the best life for me so won’t waste anyone’s time if she’s thinks they aren’t right )

I currently reside Tiptree Essex

I have a fabulous saddle from bliss of London, that’s was made to fit me and I love it. But separate neg.

Beautiful 14hh 5yo, irish bred pure Connemara.

A real life unicorn; beautiful pattern with brains.

Star has correct conformation, clean limbs and so much presence. Moves lovely. Star is a total pleasure to do we’ve owned her nearly 2 years now. She has the most gorgeous temperament, gentle & kind with the children and so willing to please puts a smile on everyone’s face. Loads of references from the Aray of people who’ve enjoyed hacking her and in the arena here. Even my daughter who is just 4 has hacked her off lead, sat on her bareback and just loves her- in 5/6 years will be needing her back!

Schooling lovely on the flat, lovely natural outline, uphill, forward thinking pony so perfect for a child or small adult to enjoy. Light in the hand with 3 balanced paces.

A very Bold scopey jump will be a top 143 plaited and/ MnM. Completely unfazed with fillers, water trays, bridges etc first time she jumped she popped a full course! Went to arena hire and popped round like she’d been before. Will be the best teen Fun pony or mum daughter share.

Fantastic in open spaces- in fact her first outing was Boxing Day meet one of the busiest of the year nannying smaller ones. Great to hack alone or in company, seen all sorts of traffic and farm life as spent sometime with a friend to get her mojo back in the saddle. With the foundations laid she more than Ready for someone to crack on with and be their no1!

Star could do any job- top quality WHP prospect or indeed Pony Club all rounder. Due to her age and potential would rather an experienced home to continue her education and see them have the best time but equally she would suit someone wanting to bring on their first pony as she’s so genuine. 100% in all ways no if or buts. Fabulous to catch, clip, trim. Not at all Mareish

Please no time wasters as this is a very sad sale of a pony we think a lot of.

After 3 fun years, Posy is very much outgrown. She’s very pretty with stunning markings – a sweet fun pony with a big personality. She’s fit and ready to go give another child (and parent!) a lot of fun.

Easy to do, good ground manners and everything done by my petite daughter. No stable vices.

Loves hacking alone and in company, safe and sane. Has seen all kinds of traffic, including heavy farm machinery and is great on the roads. Great in open spaces, never hots up.

Not fazed by anything. Happily goes out and about on her own and will stand on the box or settle in temp stabling. Very calm in the warm up.

Snaffle mouthed at all times. Not strong, fizzy or spooky, steady and responsive with excellent brakes. Kind and sweet with people and other horses. Lovely paces and would do a good show or dressage test, my daughter is more into her jumping though!

Spent 2023 occasionally hacking and being a nanny to our young sports pony, brought back into work properly January 2024 after his sad retirement.

She’s done it all!

  • Cleared 1m05 cross country fence at the end of the 10 mile East Kent Ride April 2024 – she jumped everything put in front of her
  • Qualified Sunshine Tour 2024 in her first time out jumping in 18 months.
  • Showjumping – has a super confident jump competing up to 75. She’s already done the Hickstead Sunshine tour (clear round with a cheeky celebratory buck!)
  • Bareback
  • Hacking
  • Clinics
  • Cross country
  • Fun and beach rides
  • Pony Club (1st hand pony comp!) including camp.

Loads perfectly and travels a dream.

Good with the farrier (barefoot with good feet), physio, vet, dentist. Up to date with everything.

She is 8 in May and will not be sold to novice parents or nervous riders. She can put in a cheeky buck – nothing that would phase a competent jockey. My daughter has only fallen off her once in 3 years doing a large x country fence while trying to talk to me at the same time!

She needs sedating to clip.

She had ulcers winter 2022, was treated and scoped clear March 2023. No issues since.

Very sad sale so no time wasters and we are in no rush to sell. She will only go to the best home and we’d like to keep in touch.

Price includes tack and all her rugs.

Leo 14.2 British Riding Pony 17 years old gelding, fully registered with the NPS. Would suit a mother/daughter share, dressage, happy hacker, low level riding club. Fantastic pony so deserves the best and we will be picky !

He has fabulous confirmation and the temperament to match. He’s more kick than go, so if your looking for a speedy pony in the arena he’s not the one for you. He’s full history is known, only had 3 homes. Prior to us having him he was in a 10 year home where they did pony club activities, hunting, fun rides and hacking. Hasn’t hunted with us. He’s been very well loved and looked after, but feel he’s hanging his pony club boots up and ready to find a fun, non competitive long term home. He’s got nothing more to prove

He will hack alone and in company (slightly more looky on his own). He’s seen farm machinery, motorbikes, caravans, cyclists, lorries. We live close to the motorway so has motorway bridges to go under. Will also hack on a 60 mph main country road where he’s had cars come past at 80 mph, cars pip horns and has taken that all in his stride. He’s more likely to look or spook at a horse in the hedge rather than any traffic.

In the school he turns into a right dressage star. He will work in 3 lovely balanced paces and will work in an outline. He’s more kick than go in this area. He covers the ground lovely and has super flashy paces so can see him doing well in local showing or dressage. He’s well schooled and would label him verging on a schoolmaster. He knows what he’s doing, he won’t appreciate someone hanging off his mouth especially in canter so will tell you if you hold him too tight. Loves his polework and have taken him out to clinics which he’s really enjoyed. He will be happy to pop a jump now and again but ideally looking for a non jumping home for him now he’s slightly older and prefers his flatwork and pole work. Has the odd spook at times, nothing nasty. Typical of the breed

Loads and travels well, only seen him in a trailer. Will stable but prefers to live out. He’s a easy going type, a good doer. Currently front shod and great for the farrier. Good with the hose. Great to clip no sedation needed. Up to date with dentist, vaccinations, physio. Can be a fidget at times for grooming (only found this the first few weeks) very clean legs

He’s a very sweet boy looking for his last forever home. I’m in no rush, home is paramount so happy to wait until the right home comes along. We feel at some point in his life he has had a bout of laminitis. So we treat him like a good doer. We’ve had no issues with us at all, this is just from what our trusted farrier has said. He passed a 2 stage vetting when we purchased - paperwork available

He will come with his full bridle work and rugs

Homes will be vetted and references asked for - please bare in mind he’s a 17 year old pony with mileage. If you want a more experienced pony he’s certainly that.
