Skye is a super safe schoolmistress. We have had her for 4 years and in that time she has taken my children from jumping 60cm on a 12.2 pony to jumping 90cm with confidence.

She is a genuine allrounder: she will produce a good dressage test, jumps for fun and is consistently double clear at 90cm.

She never spooks at fillers and is bold and brave XC, jumping ditches, water, steps and skinnies with ease. She always brings her rider home safe.

She has enjoyed lots of successes at PC and unaffiliated 80/90cm SJ and ODE. She has been to numerous PC rallies, camps and stay-away competitions including national and regional championships.

She hacks alone or in company and is easy in open spaces and on the beach. She is good to box, shoe and clip, is vice-free and in perfect health.

She is the perfect family pony and is a real confidence-giver and a delight to have around.

This is a very sad sale of a much-loved but now outgrown pony.

Mr G is a really smart 13.2h pony with very lovely paces. He was bought for my 8 year old son at the beginning of the year but has proved to be too much ‘pony’ and we’re looking to step down to something more docile for him.

He is the ideal pony for a confident young rider to have lots of fun on. He never does anything nasty, but puts in the occasional small buck when over excited which is too much for my nervous son. He doesn’t do this with more confident riders, and never runs off or is strong, and is charming in every other way.

* 13.2, 18yrs Welsh gelding
* Brilliant hacking either alone or in company, great in wide open spaces. Happily leads or follows the horse in front. Never spooky.
* Excellent showjumping and XC - jumps everything! Mr G needs no encouragement, he takes the rider to the fence but doesn’t run at them, isn’t fast or silly. Has done 60-70cm with my son, but much more with previous owners.
* Has done lots of pony club rallies, weekly after school lessons as part of a school club, and junior camp this year.
* Great in traffic and around all farm machinery.
* Extremely good natured and very unflapable. Adores being fussed over, lovely to have around the yard.
* Lives out 24/7 with us, but has been stabled before.
* Shod in front.
* Very good to shoe, vet, and up to date with jabs etc.
* Loads well into a trailer or horse box.
* A really lovely, honest little pony who will give the right rider enormous amounts of fun.
* Passed a vetting in January this year
* Based in Oxfordshire, OX29
* £5k incl tack & rugs

Aurora has 3 good paces both in and out of the arena, hacks alone and in company and has a good jump. We have taken her on fun rides, beach days, one day events, venue hires, shows, cross country and 3 times to pony club camp. Aurora is also a fabulous pony for mounted games.

Aurora is a one in a million pony due to having had her tail docked a year ago. It does not affect her in any way. She does also have mild sweet itch which is totally manageable and I’m happy to discuss the treatment she has with any potential buyer

Aurora is looking for a 5 star home where she can continue to be spoilt rotten.

Plenty more photos and videos available upon request and happy for any queries or questions which will be answered with honesty.

Ted is a very cool 14yo 13.2hh new forest pony for sale. Been there and done it type, 3 lovely balanced paces on the flat, show jumps well and has jumped xc and been hedge hopping!

Very easy on the ground to tack up etc. Loads well, good with farrier and is currently barefoot.

Ted would be a lovely pony for a competent child! He's not naughty but definitely needs riding forwards to bigger fences. The sort of pony I'd want my kid to have. He's been ridden by small adults recently.

Ted does have a cheeky buck in him, he's not nasty and he's only done it when a schooling whip is used to encourage him forwards. For this reason he is not a novice ride - he is a lot of fun and a competent kid would really enjoy.

Based in Gloucestershire.

Mid 4s. Serious enquiries only and offers accepted as needs to be sold ASAP due to owners relocation to NZ.

With Gracie, you are getting a sweet-natured, affectionate pony who also has the potential and talent to become a competitive pony and bring home the rosettes.

An eye-catching pony, professionally broken and turned away to mature, now brought back into work. Great on the ground, lunges well and proving to have great scope. Lovely to handle in and out the stable. She loads first time, travels well, and is generally a very easy-going girl.

Her size and build make her equally suited for children or lightweight adults, making her an excellent mother/daughter (son!) combination. She is now looking for her next home where she can continue to excel and be someone's childhood best friend.

She has been here with me at the same home since a foal and has been brought on slowly and correctly to ensure she is a safe, happy pony with a willingness to please. She is easy to shoe, travel, and handle. She is happy to be stabled or living outdoors. She is fantastic to do in all ways.

Dennistown Marble (Dennis), 14 year old, skewbald gelding. We bought him in 2022 when my daughter was 11 years old, and there is very little they haven't done together.

Dennis had only Show Jumped when we had him, in Ireland and here with great success.

We however wanted to follow an eventing pathway and together they have worked up to jumping double clear at BE100. Their highlights include: -

2022 Winning Team PC Area Eventing Quaifiers 80cm (4th Individually)
2023 Moreton Morel BE90 U18 - 1st
2023 Solihull BE90 U18 - 3rd
2023 Qualified for PC National Champs SJ 90cm
2024 Qualified for PC National Champs Dressage Nov (placed 9th individually at champs)
2024 Qualified for PC National Champs Dressage Intermediate
2025 Won PC Area 9 SJ Qualifier 100cm
2025 Qualified for PC National SJ Champs Individual & Team 100cm
2025 Qualified for PC National Eventing Champs 90cm
2025 6th place at PC90 Eventing National Championships (2 time faults for being a little too swift cost him 2nd place)
Numerous PC Spring Festival Qualifications in SJ and Arena Eventing
2025 Ascot under Wychwood BE100 Double Clear

He has just done his 4th PC Camp with us and we have hunted him. He is a super careful jumper and we have worked hard on his dressage over the last 4 years, he produces some very nice work.

As he is well schooled he is sensitive to rider aids so would suit a child who is a competent rider. Dennis has tonnes of personality and is adored by all who meet him!

He has been handled by my daughter from the word go and younger children.

He is good to load, dentist, shoe, needs sedating to be clipped and can be wary of men, goes out with other geldings and is always the under dog.

Would live in or out. We are looking for a knowledgeable home for this much loved special pony.

For Sale – Reuben (2009), 12.2hh Liver Chestnut Gelding

It is with great sadness that we offer our beloved family pony, Reuben, for sale.

Reuben is a striking 12.2hh liver chestnut gelding with correct conformation, naturally uphill paces, and a wonderful temperament. He is a genuine all-rounder who has given both our children endless fun, education, and confidence. Sadly, our youngest is now rapidly outgrowing him and moving onto a 14hh, so it is time for Reuben to give the same joy and experience to his next little jockey.

We have owned Reuben for 6 years, during which he has taken our 2 children from gently stepping over cross poles to confidently jumping 80cm courses and training over bigger fences at home. He has successfully competed in a wide variety of Pony Club disciplines including showing, dressage, arena eventing, show jumping, mini one-day events, and tetrathlon.

Highlights:

- Represented Pony Club at Regional Championships and Area Spring Festival and spring festival championships (dressage)

- Competed in tetrathlon with multiple 1400 rides - good with gates and slip rails

- Produced 70%+ dressage scores, qualifying for Pony Club Championships

- Represented Pony Club at Rockingham Horse Trials (team show jumping) - a reliable clear round

- Enjoys arena eventing - holds a lovely rhythm

- Hunting experience, showing he was mannerly, safe, and loved every minute

Reuben has naturally correct paces, a very comfortable canter, and a lovely bascule over a fence. He is bold and careful. He has the ability to look after a less confident rider and will gently step over a fence for them, but with a rider that is happy to put their leg on and ride for fence he will step up and show a turn of speed with good turns for a competitive jockey.

On the yard, Reuben is a delight, he is neat in his stable, has been fit and well throughout our ownership, and a pony who adores fuss, attention, and food. He is excellent to catch, shoe, load, clip, hack, and handle in all respects.

Reuben would ideally suit a child growing in confidence who is moving on from their first pony and looking for the next step up. I would love a child who enjoys dressage as he has so much to offer in this area that we haven't fully tapped into, but equally an all round jumping home would be perfect too.

The videos are a broad selection of the things he has done with both of our children. They both moved onto him age 6, started off trotting over fences and building confidence.

We are based near Stratford Upon Avon.

A selection of rugs available, tack under separate negotiation.

For sale. Project pony

11.2hh 11yr old speedy rosette winning machine. With her previous owner she won everything. This pony is untouchable in a jump off. Won the BS club leagues and competed at stoneleigh.

She did the same for my daughter, they were winning everything but after some time out the saddle (no fault of the pony) my daughter was now nervous of Daisy’s speed. We have spent 2 years trying to work up Emily’s confidence hoping that she would return to the wee team they were before but it’s not happening.

Daisy went to my friends for some schooling before we advertised and she’s being strong and too fast for little kids when jumping. She needs brought back into work by a lightweight teen before she would be suitable for a small kid again. It’s just her being excited cos she loves jumping and it’s all a novelty again. Videos are from July and as you can hear she is unfit.

I have hundreds of pics and videos and I’m asking for a fraction of what she cost me.

Good home essential.

13.1, 11 year old Irish sports pony.

This pony has been an absolute superstar for us! He has taken my son from jumping 55cm SJ to jumping 85cm/90cm - always in the ribbons. He has a careful scopey jump and helps his rider out if needed. Not bothered by fillers or water etc

He has competed in 70cm ODE's in large classes and placed in the top 10 everytime. He has done NSEA, PC rallies, XC, SJ, Dressage, Arena eventing, and ODE. He has taught my son so much in the 2 years we have owned him and made him a much better rider! A very sad sale and only selling as my son has hopelessly outgrown him and moved onto horses.

He is a competition pony/2nd pony and therefore would not be suitable for a novice rider. He would make a great BE/BS starter pony.

He has good stable manners and a yard favourite. He is good for vet, farrier, dentist etc.

He is never sick or sorry.

He is up to date with vaccinations, physio, dentist, farrier etc

Balfour Fairy Gold
Stable name: Pixie

The perfect project pony, with all ground work put into her (lunging, long-lining ect.) , been sat on many times and walked with rider. Never put a foot wrong been very easy and straight forward, she is more than ready to start her ridden career! With so much potential!

She adores children and will stand to be pampered all day. Kids have sat on her in the field with no tack and she is completely unbothered. Pixie would make the ideal show pony with incredible breeding and lovely temperament or just the dream barbie pony for someone to teach and have some fun with. I have never met a pony as loving!

Sadly, she doesn’t have a job with me as I am too big to be on her and have no little riders for her, otherwise she’d be staying with me. All I want for this pony is to find a home where she is loved and gets all the attention she deserves. She is so incredibly kind, loving just searching for a family of her own to give it all too. I have owned her from a yearling and brought her straight from breeder.

Pixie does have a singular sarcoid on her stomach, not in a place that causes any bother to her! and is currently being treated by us. I am completely open book to any questions regarding this matter.

Tentative sale, bought as an unbroken three year old Arnie has been a joy to have as part of our family with many amazing results along the way.

Beautifully schooled. He has lovely movement with a springy rhymical step and super athletic jump. Easy to ride with a very trainable attitude.

Huge success in the dressage arena with the highlight finishing 4th at The Winter Area Festival Finals in 2024.

Currently competing at novice with some great scores and qualified for area festivals. He’s also done one unaffiliated elementary which he won. At home he’s working elementary and is picking up his lateral work with ease. If I’m honest he’d pick it up faster if I wasn’t learning alongside him and we had an arena at home to practice in.

Super talented over a fence prior to his recent dressage success in his early ridden career we focused on M&M WHP and he had huge success as a novice/intermediate with many wins and championships. He did a few opens which he jumped with ease but we fell out of love with showing. I don't enjoy the pressure alongside my busy day job so we have focused on dressage in recent years, but I do believe Arnie is top class in this sphere with a keen family. He has also arena evented and cross country schooled.

Hacks on his own or with others and is good with our heavy quarry traffic.

Has been occasionally ridden by children (as we don't have any) and he is sensible and sensitive to their needs.

This is a very sad sale with a genuine reason.

*please read the full advert before contacting me, she will only be sold to a genuine forever home looking for a companion*

12 years old piebald traditional cob mare. 12.2hh

She has a passport and microchip, she is fully vaccinated for flu and tetanus.

She is up to date with teeth, farrier, worming and worm counts.

I rescued her nearly two years ago with a young foal at foot, she had clearly had a hard life when I found her but is now unrecognisable from the horse that came to me.

She is an absolute sweetheart and loves a fuss, she would stand all day to be groomed and just be with you.

I believe she has ridden and driven in the past. I have been working with her under saddle for some time in walk and she is growing in confidence but unfortunately I am too tall for her (I am 5ft10) to progress her ridden work further. My niece who is a complete beginner has ridden her on the lead rein, she was a little unsure to start but did settle. Her nervousness under saddle is linked to abuse in her previous life before she found me and as much as she could become a lovely riding pony with the right person I really do feel in my heart of hearts that she would be happiest as a companion and pet.

She is very well mannered and good to handle. She happily lives in or out. I won’t sell her unseen and homes will be vetted. She deserves to find her forever where she will be safe and loved for the rest of her days and she won’t leave me until I find that for her, I am in no rush at all.

ONLY contact me if you are genuinely looking for a companion and pet.

NO dealers, NO time wasters, NO day dreamers, NO cheap project seekers, NO riding schools, NO loans, NO payment plans.

Forever homes ONLY please.

I am very busy right now so please message me not call, calls can be scheduled if I feel you are a potential match.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Rainbow is the nicest little soul - everything you ask of him he tries his best!!

Nice paces, and he is not too forward with children but neither is he too lazy.

Rainbow enjoys jumping and is bold and genuine - he has jumped both xc and Showjumps and has even done a few mornings hunting out in Ireland.

A well mannered pony that loves going hacking and will go first or last, alone and in company . He is excellent in even the heaviest of road or farm traffic.

Really genuine to handle and loves the children - happy to let them lead him, groom, tack him up etc always kind and gentle.

This little chap would easily do pony club, novice SJ and little XC courses, happy to go out hacking and will be a great family pony.

Meet Vinnie, a 4-year-old Dartmoor gelding standing approx 121cm – a real old-fashioned type with substance, a leg in each corner, and the kindest nature you could ask for.

He is very correct, with good limbs and floaty movement that really catches the eye – he’s a pony that stands out wherever he goes.

Vinnie is a top class all-round second pony for a child who wants to have fun and enjoy a bit of everything. He’s the sweetest character, cuddly and kind, with impeccable manners in and out of the stable.

He’s already been to a handful of ridden shows and has taken it all in his stride. Nothing phases him. He’s naturally taken to jumping and is already winning SJ and confidently XC schooling – ditches, water, arrowheads, you name it.

Hacks alone and in company
Great in open spaces
Barefoot, clean-limbed, and in excellent health
Good to trim, bath, load, and catch

He really is the full package – ready to turn his hoof to anything. Whether it’s showing, PC, jumping or just being a child’s best mate, he does everything with a smile. Someone is going to have a lot of fun with this cracking little pony.

I’m sadly offering Lucy for sale (would consider loan to right home) as I think she needs a little more education under saddle which I don’t have a jockey for.

She’s a gorgeous and kind little pony, who has been utterly delightful with my tiny children bobbing around on her. With older riders she does need someone more competent as she has been seen by me to buck when an older, novice child lost her balance. I don’t feel this was anything out of reason, but feel she would thrive in a home with a more competent little jockey and have priced her to reflect this. She came from a home where she was in ridden work with a competent, established jockey.

She is very smart and willing. I’ve schooled her on the lunge line over small fences and ditches, etc. where she has proven brave but sensible. I’m doing some in-hand showing with her, and she did this in her previous home so has a well-rounded education.

She’s a sweetheart on the ground, and loves my girls grooming her. She’s up to date with farrier, jabs, worming, physio, saddler.

She’s a typical good-doer who does need restricted grazing in the summer.

I’m very happy to discuss and open to negotiation.

Beauty has been an absolute star over the last two years, taking my daughter from barely being able to canter to competently jumping courses of 60/70cm.

Beauty is forward off the leg and is always happy to work. She is great hacking and in traffic, she has done all pony club activities with her main love being show jumping.

Beauty has an impressive resumé, having been a very successful show jumping and tetrathlon pony. She is fit and well with no health issues - in fact she looks amazing and I am sure she will continue for a long time yet.

Beauty is kind on the ground good to catch and for the kids to handle, she is kind in the field with others and has never been laminitic. She loads easily and will stand on the box all day. She is fully vaccinated and shod in front. Beauty is a bit of a princess - she loves to come in at night, be well fed, and kept warm but as a result she thinks she’s 12!

The only down side to beauty is that she is not at all keen on the vet and not great to clip. We have however found ways round this.

Only the kindest, most knowledgeable home may apply. It will break our hearts to move her on but she loves to have a job to do!

£3,750 (Tack and endless wardrobe then negotiable).

If you are really interested please call me. Endless videos, photos and references available. Vicky.

Sad sale of this much loved pony only for sale as rider moving onto 148s.

Sadly outgrown and looking for her next best friend knows her job and her record speaks for its self with pages of results she has jumped up to 1.10 with pervious riders in the past but does need an accurate rider at this level or someone on last year 138s to achieve top tracks

Too many wins to mention

Lovely natured kind pony - a pleasure to have on the yard

Has done Aintree ACE Arena eventing two years in a row

Hunted and loves the XC field. Has done many years of pony club and is fantastic in open spaces

Absolutely no vices - good to catch box clip travel etc

Hacks alone or in company

Never sick or sorry - fit and ready to go.
