Quality 12.2h 9 year old Welsh B mare

A genuine, well produced children’s pony with an excellent all-round CV, now heartbreakingly available for sale.

Grace is a beautiful Welsh B mare who has successfully fulfilled the role of a first ridden and competitive children’s pony. She has extensive experience including pony club, NSEA, showing, and has confidently competed around 75/80cm, proving willing, straightforward and enjoyable for her riders.

She is a kind, mannerly pony with a lovely temperament, used to children handling her daily and sensible both on and off the ground. Grace is equally happy giving confidence to a younger rider while still stepping up when asked, making her an ideal step-up or family pony.

She is a correct, attractive model, a real show ring type with 3 outstanding straight paces.

She is an established pony with varied experience, a safe and genuine nature and is happy and tolerant of kids playing with her.

Easy to handle, catch, tack up and manage in all aspects

A sweet, honest pony who has been a valued member of the family and is now ready to continue teaching her next jockey.

  • Genuine safe school mistress who turns her hoof to anything and everything.
  • Loves her job, brilliant to hack, safe in all traffic.
  • Full up 13.2hh 10 year old mare.
If you’re looking for a safe, sensible family pony who can turn her hooves to anything, you may have found her.

This gorgeous 10 year old mare is a full up 13.2 and has been an absolute ‘heart pony’ and wonderful confidence giver, as well as the best teacher a child can have, she has taken her riders from lead rein through mini teams to confidently jumping 70!

She has done pony club and everything from rallies, camps and beach rides to Area Competitions. She shows promise to do more in her dressage and is very balanced and polite and educated for a cobby type, and she loves cross country, adding many rosettes to the wall! She is also steady and reliable SJ, but isn’t the fastest!!

She is easy to handle, clip, shoe and load. She has lovely feathers, we usually clip them off and keep her more streamlined. She has had her teeth routinely done, with no issues. Easy with other ponies and can hack out on her own and in company. She is good in all traffic, happily hacks alone or with others through cattle and a busy farm.

Prior to us she was in the same home for four years, doing her job before she was genuinely outgrown and her riders moved on to a sportier model.

She loves fuss and attention, and we are hoping to find her a home with a child who can already trot and canter but maybe has lost their confidence and is looking for a very special friend to hold their hand and help them enjoy riding again. Maybe with a small parent who can hack occasionally in the week although she doesn’t mind and is no different if ridden less.

This is a very difficult decision. She is wasted with our son, she is just too nice a pony and loves the attention too much to be stood in the field, and our daughter just can’t manage the time for two ponies with ever increasing school and social commitments.

She can be seen with a friend who has better facilities, so she can be tried in an arena and hacking etc.

Please no time wasters. We are looking to find her a loving and caring new home hopefully over the school holiday.

Woottonheath Teddy – Elite Future Pony Club & Competition Prospect

14.1hh | Rising 6-year-old | Pure Bred (Green Passport)
By Bakeburn Benny out of Yewtree Memphis
PSSM Free
Location near Buckingham

A rare opportunity to acquire an unspoilt, pure-bred pony of exceptional quality, temperament, and proven foundation. Woottonheath Teddy has been in the same experienced home since a foal, sourced directly from the New Forest, and has been produced slowly and professionally with a clear focus on long-term success.

He is a modern, athletic type with presence, quality movement, and a natural aptitude across disciplines. His trainable brain and genuine willingness to work sets him apart. He is straightforward, honest, and entirely free from vices.

Teddy has been given a correct, varied, and sympathetic education, with experience in:

Show jumping (competing at 70, showing scope and carefulness, training 90cm at home)
Cross country (bold, genuine, and confident)
Dressage (balanced, correct paces)
Trail Hunting (sensible and mannerly)

He is a forward thinking yet rideable pony who enjoys his work and consistently tries to please. He hacks confidently alone and in company, is composed in open spaces, and is regularly handled by both adults and children.

In all management respects, he is exemplary. Good to load, clip, and with the dentist. Easy to keep, adaptable, and happily lives in or out, mixing well with mares and geldings.

As expected for his age, he remains a young pony with further development ahead; however, he has been given the very best start and shows all the attributes required to progress into a top-level, competitive Pony Club or grassroots competition pony. In the right hands, he has genuine potential to be a consistent winner.

He is much loved, loves a fuss, groom and attention. Very use to children, dogs, farm machinery and traffic. Teddy is literally one in a million and will give his rider a much loved partnership and the pony of a lifetime.

  • Loving, long term family home
  • Varied and sensible workload
  • Would want for nothing!

We have a tall 13yo, she is a quiet, natural jockey whose main interest is dressage, she enjoys jumping but isn’t super competitive. Having outgrown her fabulous 13.3/14hh Welsh x Cob who turns her hoof to a bit of everything, we are looking for a similar type with longer legs! Think overgrown pony rather than a horse, temperament, consistency and kindness are paramount. Must be well schooled with good transitions but we don’t need big/expressive movement. We’d like something that is happy jumping 70/80 tracks, has done plenty of rallies, been to camp, hacks nicely etc. Must be easy and straightforward on the ground, to travel etc.

We really aren’t stuck on a Connie and would happily consider a sensible Section D, LW cob or Irish type. We are offering a fabulous family home, the stables are next to the house and the children are very involved in the day to day care of their ponies. Life will be varied, they really will want for nothing. We recognise we are looking for a needle in a haystack and have the budget to reflect that. West Midlands based but can travel within reason. We will ask for references and veterinary history, we are pragmatic and sensible but want to make a decision based on all the facts!

Flora is a British spotted pony, she is an amazing allrounder with lots of experience ranging from Pony Club to British Showjumping. This pony truly can do it all from arena eventing to qualifying in Blue Chip. She rarely comes home without at least 1 rosette.

Flora has been one in a life time pony my daughter after she lost a lot of confidence on a pony that reared a lot and Flora has built all of her confidence back. She’s done everything with her and this has installed a huge amount of joy and confidence in me as a parent.
She had been our intro to British showjumping and it’s been an amazing fun time!

Flora is a bundle of joy riding and on the ground, super easy for a child to manage, she loves her job and will teach you to ride well. She is forward going in the ring when competing but she is not silly or nasty in anyway, for this reason Flora is best suited to a child that has some experience and she would suit a varied lifestyle

She is brilliant at cross country and is not spooky at all. She has tonnes of Pony Club experience both with us and her previous owners.

This pony has been one in a lifetime, she has given my daughter the confidence to move up onto horses and has been the safest pony who never rears and very rarely gives the occasional excited buck, but this is never done out of malice and very easy to sit to.

She loves hacking and is sensible in open spaces and with traffic, we've taken her to Coombelands gallops and she is easy to stop.

Qualified for:

Ric Delboy aka Derek

Derek is a rising 11yo registered Welsh C gelding standing at approx 14hh

Been there and done it, he has competed in showjumping, working hunter, dressage, flat showing, arena eventing, XC schooled, beach rides, pleasure rides, hacks alone or in company and he genuinely loves to have a job.

He is a cheeky chappy full of character. Well schooled with a neat and stylish jump. He is fast against the clock, has placed in the top 3 of all his worker classes including at county level and is always in the high 60s or low 70s in his dressage.

He’s good to catch, shoe, clip, load and travel etc

New Forest Gelding 8 YO 14hh
Ultimate all rounder pony, proven pony club pony, previously jumping 80-90 cms with experienced teen rider but currently only doing 50-60. Would be suited to a PC, riding club, showing/dressage home.
Used to all farm machinery, traffic, not spooky, barefoot, enjoys school work, hacking (prefers hacking with company & does need leg hacking solo if novice rider),
lives in or out (he loves nothing more than being in his field with his herd, so regular turn out is a must)
Suitable as a 1.5 or 2nd pony with an eager child/teen/adult (purely due to doing excitable buck going into canter on group pleasure rides when not at the front, not strong and can be brought back to trot. This is mainly in the ‘fresher seasons’ never unseated me and I’m a novice adult rider, I manage this by putting him at the front.
He steps up or down depending who’s riding him, can be more forward/responsive with older, experienced rider, but would happily plod along in the school whilst your child understands and learns his buttons.
Great at stay away camps/shows (chilled boy), good to catch and for farrier, previously won and qualified for multiple events/shows. Up to date with feet, teeth, jabs, physio, chiropractor.
Does have mild arthritis in right hock which has been injected with artharmid in Jan 2026.
Has NEVER been sick or sorry, never been lame and only seen due to X-rays.

Lots of pictures and videos, based North west.
Professionally fitted saddle and fitted bit/bridle available under separate negotiation.

‘Teddy’ is a super genuine and polite 14hh, 13yo, gelding. He has three smart balanced paces and a very pingy jump. Teddy has showjumped up to 90cm, he’s quick against the clock and very careful. He has taken part in Pony Club rallies, hunted (jumping hedges and rails) and xc schooled - he is the ultimate pony club/all rounder. He has a great workman attitude and thrives on work, he hacks alone and in company and is snaffle mouthed.

Teddy is good to do, he’ll stand by the lorry/trailer without any fuss, good to load/travel, has no vices, good to shoe, never bucks or rears and is just an all round gentleman. He has been ridden by a 13yo boy for the past few months but is now ready to find his next jockey.

Due to Teddy’s forward thinking attitude and sensitive personality he would suit a competent, competitive child and wouldn’t be suitable for a novice. It’s a super sad sale of an awesome pony so he will only go to a 10* knowledgable home!

Super 13h palomino gelding age 18 - an all round competition pony having excelled at working hunter, dressage and showjumping. He is fantastic to hack and has hunted too.

A forward (but safe) ride when jumping and so suitable for a child with an established seat and ring experience. That said, he doesn’t need to go a competition home - we are very happy for him to step down and spend his days hacking and being pampered - he owes us nothing! Likewise, happy for him to go to a dressage or showing home.

An absolute sweetheart on the ground - easy to handle, clip, shoe, box etc. Restricted grazing required.

She has competed up to 1m but schools at home over 1.15m with ease and has scope for more. She qualified 3rd for the Blue Chip Winter Discovery and Bliss of London Sapphire Championships at first time of trying.

14.2hh approx rising 5yr old bay mare, Connemara x, by Wellbury Play The Joker. Out of a mare from successful showing lines.

Tuppence has been recently broken in by us, and has been the most straightforward, sweetest pony you could get.

She is showing 3 good paces, and a lovely attitude towards everything we have faced her with. She is hacking out confidently, happy to go in front or behind. She has seen some farm traffic and doesn’t seem phased at all. We have hacked her in the wind where she proved to be very sensible. We put a lot of emphasis on desensitisation during the breaking process, she has had all sorts of things waved around her/over her/walked over etc and takes everything in her stride.

Tuppence is a very loving, friendly pony. Always good to catch. Had her first pair of shoes on recently and was perfect. Loads well. We haven’t clipped her, but I can’t see this being an issue given how straightforward she is.

Tuppence won some in hand showing classes at country level as a youngster, including champion riding pony breeding and reserve shp breeding, plus 1st yearling sports horse at North Yorkshire county, champion shp breeding at Stokesley, and reserve champion shp youngstock at Hambleton.

I would expect her to have a very bright future ahead of her as a competition pony with a bit of education.

Annie - 15.2, 5 year old (2021) Irish cob mare.

Annie is the epitome of a supercob, she has so much to offer and is such a lovely kind soul that only aims to please.

Backed and ridden away last summer and mainly hacked. Annie was imported from Ireland in November from the breeder and is ready to go on to her next adventure.

3 good paces in the school and surprisingly naturally balanced for a horse of her age and type. A very comfortable canter and not big and bouncy. Hacks alone and in company, loves to box up and go for a hack to explore the countryside and pop a log in the woods. She’s a lovely forward thinking brave sort that wants to do the right thing.

Just started popping a few fences she has a lovely jump and is really honest.

She really would go on and do a variety of jobs whether that be exploring the countryside, fun rides, riding club, hunting. World is your oyster.

She has been a real pleasure to have and I ride her last every day so that I always end the day on a good note with a smile on my face! She is still learning so wouldn’t suit any very novice riders.

Good to catch, bath, load, groom, tack up. Clipped for the first time recently and was a bit worried at first but then started to enjoy the scratchy bits so settled down and stood quietly. Did have a set of shoes on but is now barefoot as she really didn’t need them her feet are solid. She thought the farrier was a bit scary but again, just young and needs reassurance.

Millgrange Lover Boy (N/N)
Our gorgeous boy Johnny is now ready to start looking for his person. We brought him over from Clifden sales as a 2yo, he was shown lightly last year in hand and was then backed this winter.
He is proving to be safe and genuine and although green he has a very sensible head.

He hacks alone and in company, first or last, and he’s great in traffic. He’s done a school hire, show clinic and done a trip to the woods. He has done his first show at NPS area 29 where he picked up both his NPS pure and confined novice qualifications after winning two strong classes and then stood reserve champion.
He loads and travels well in a trailer and lorry.

Dolly is a 6yo truly exceptional model with quality, presence, and a wonderful attitude. She would suit a kid wanting to compete PC and just all rounder or someone who’s wanting to excel in showjumping/ dressage as she got moves !

This lovely pony is low mileage but straight forward to handle and super easy to educate.

An exciting project for someone wanting a top-class youngster.

Showing a super temperament and willing nature, Dolly has all the makings of a future star . She’s a fine petite little mare with beautiful coloring and has great confirmation .

Full history is known and Dolly has been out to a handful of shows plus a stay away , where she wasn’t phased by anything . Shes easy to hack out and seen all farm machinery etc .

Super easy to clip , load , stands great for farrier , lives in and out plus very sociable and loves being out with other horses !

Sure to excel in the right hands.

Such a hard decision, but our lovely girl is available to a special home.

Spirit is extremely pretty with superb breeding, well established paces and a lovely rhythmical ride. Just pops into a frame and is so tick tock in the show ring with her way of going whilst attracting the eye with her looks and presence.

In the 3 years we have had her, Spirit and my daughter have had lots of adventures together including pony club, hunter trials, showing, fun rides, wh, sj, arena eventing, training camps and so much more.
> competed xc 80/90, unaffiliated sj 70-90, wh 70-90 and novice dressage
> Always does a lovely test, scoring well over 70% in unaffiliated outings
> Sucessful in hand and ridden showing classes, placed in two m&m novice/open ridden classes at Scone Palace International Horse trials 2025
> Many wins, placings and proven records in sj, showing, arena eventing, wh, hunter trials, dressage - a true rosette winner!
> Regularly attends pony club / camps/ clinics

Spirit is willing, keen to please, polite and safe. She is easy to handle (daughter does everything herself), wash, catch, clip, load, travel. She hacks alone and in company and has seen all kinds of traffic. She has good feet and is up to date with vaccinations, worming, dentist, physio.

This is a very sad and genuine sale of a much loved pony who has looked after my daughter and given us everything. She is fit and ready to go make her new jockeys dreams come true.

Full history known and in touch with breeder / previous owners.

6yr old, 14.1hh approx grey registered Highland gelding.

Fingal is a very straightforward young pony. He has 3 good paces, and the most genuine, laid back temperament.

Fingal came to us for breaking as a 4yr old, and then spent the summer of his 5yr old year lightly hacking with his owner.

He hacks really well both alone and in company, isn’t phased by much at all, and has no worries about traffic, including heavy farm machinery.

He is good to do on the ground, very easy to catch, shoe, clip, etc. He lives out happily with other horses.

I believe Fingal could do well in the show ring, his sire competed at HOYS, and his half brother took champion at Royal Windsor and qualified for Olympia. I think he could also be a lovely, confidence giving allrounder. We took him to an arena hire and popped him over some small jumps and he also went straight through water, over ditches, and up/down steps without any hesitation.

Sad sale due to owners lack of time.

  • A cob that loves to jump
  • Fun low level allrounder
  • Easy to handle in every way

Malcom is a super sweet natured and easy to have around.

On the flat he is responsive to your leg and has nice forward paces but is still very much more kick than pull.

He happily pops around a small course of fences including fillers. He’s never spooky. He’s a real confidence giving type.

To hack Malcom will go up the main road alone and in company, in front or behind. He’s not bothered by lorries or fast cars. He’s passed building sites with moving machinery not battering an eyelid.

For the past 3 years Malcom has been with a young girl in a pony club home. He’s been to unaffiliated shows and regularly placed. Sad sale due to school commitments and outgrown.

He’s an absolute saint for the farrier, easy to clip, load, travel, catch etc

Malcom would make someone very happy and will them with confidence.

He would make a great addition to someone’s riding school, RDA, low level all rounder or happy hacker.

Malcom is sold with a full wardrobe of rugs, bridle and fitted saddle.

  • Previously hunted with several packs including the South Notts
  • He has plenty of jump
  • We think he would be an excellent team chase / hunt scurry pony

Jack has previously hunted with several packs including the South Notts, and this 25/26 season with the Warwickshire, proving exceptional. He absolutely adores his hunting, he stands like a gentleman at the meet and to get on and off, will go off happily on point, brilliant with Hounds, and jumps anything he is pointed at carefully and cleanly. He has been hunted by both children and adults.

We bought Jack to campaign the 143 working hunters, which he did for the most part of last season with great success, qualifying for RIHS and HOYS. We do feel however, that Jack has won all there is to win as a worker, and is now looking for a home where he can primarily hunt as that what he enjoys most.

He would be suitable for a confident and competent little jockey or small adult where he can do NSEA, pony club activities, fun rides and some occasional eventing. We think he would be an excellent team chase / hunt scurry pony. He has plenty of jump.

Very sweet and easy to do, load, hack, shoe.
Up to date with worming, teeth, physio etc.

Jack can be seen to crib around feed time.

Only for sale as jockey wishes to pursue showing.

14.1 9 year old black Welsh sec d gelding. We think he would suit an all rounder home where he would do a bit of everything as he really does enjoy everything.

Luke is the sweetest boy in the stable and a pleasure to have on the yard. He has good manners, good to catch, clip, behaves for the farrier.
He loads well, travels well and will happily stand on the box if you take another off.

He is amazing to hack and is not bothered by any sort of traffic, he will happily hack on his own or in company. He's the type you would take out with a young pony to give confidence.

He enjoys jumping, he has done some unaffiliated showjumping and a couple of BS shows on a ticket.

He's been over XC fences on farm rides and arena eventing.
He has a brave scopey jump.
He rides exactly the same in open spaces, doesn't fizz up or get silly.
He's been to the gallops and on farm rides.

No stables vices, no lumps, bumps sarcoids, no sweet itch.
Up to date with worming, farrier, dentist and injections.
5 star home wanted for this very special pony and we would love to keep in touch with his new owners.

  • Wonderful temperament, great with children and adults alike.
  • Genuine schoolmaster, ideal for young teenager that she can help step-up.
  • Great to hack, loves to jump and enjoys flatwork.

Stepol Northern Dancer ‘;DANCER’, beautiful bay 14.2hh allrounder, Welsh section D mare who loves to be active. 16 years’ old and a genuine schoolmaster, she is great with children of all ages and adults alike but would thrive with a young teenager that she can help step up. She is easy to groom and tack-up with an excellent temperament, great to hack either alone or in company, is good around cars, and loves to jump up to 1m comfortably and has occasionally jumped up to 1m20 single fences. She enjoys flatwork but does not have much experience in dressage, however, would make for a beautiful dressage pony.

She is good to travel, but can sometimes be reluctant to load if she does not travel regularly or is not familiar with box/trailer. She has been to multiple farm rides, non affiliated show jumping competitions, cross country events, arena hires and gallops and has thrived in all areas. She is not strong and has exceptionally good breaks so is only ridden in a snaffle with no flash required. She was also previously part of a Pony Club at a riding school.

For the last couple of years, Dancer has generally only been ridden for non-competitive pleasure but can easily be brought back up to a competing level.

She was bought for 11-year-old daughter and has done well with her for the 5+ years we have owned her, only deciding to sell due to a change in circumstances and time commitments. Dancer is a low maintenance pony, who typically lives out from March through to the end of October with no issues. She prefers life living out and only gets brought in at night during the winter months due to requirements of the livery she is on now but would be happy to live out all year round.

She has never bucked, reared, or kicked people during our ownership, however, does experience mild crib biting after she is given treats or is in the stable for prolonged periods, no health issues relating to cribbing have been identified by her vet.

Dancer has recently attended a lame clinic at Leahurst Equine Practice as she was displaying mild lameness in her left rear hock. Mild arthritis was diagnosed and treated with a steroid injection. Leahurst have monitored progress and Dancer has since passed a follow up vet check for use as an all-rounder. Potential buyer should be aware that she may require a further steroid injection in 12-18 months. Lame clinic notes and clinical discharge notes may be provided if required.

An absolutely wonderful pony ideal for first time or experienced owners alike.

- Vaccinations and worming up to date
- Microchipped

SOLD! (Vetting pending) pony found - thank you to so many people for reaching out. I tried to respond to as many as possible. Good luck finding new homes for some super horses and ponies
  • Experienced home on farm awaits with lightweight adult rider
  • I’m searching for a best friend with a safe, fun attitude to life
  • Gelding preferred (due to 2 mares on had already)
I’m on the lookout for a fun but safe set of hooves, ideally fitting the following criteria:
• 148-158cm
• gelding
• under 15 years (this is non-negotiable)
• must travel on a trailer
• must hack alone and in company without major quirks inc. napping and bucking
• must be a nice person to handle, no kickers
• horses with veterinary history considered with full disclosure, but no rehab projects
• bonus if they already know how to ride and lead (I have small children)
• something that doesn’t need riding every day and wouldn’t mind a break of up to a week between riding when necessary (I’m a nurse and work shifts)
• able to turnout in a mixed herd (1 other gelding and 1 mare, next to another mixed herd of 3)

In return I can offer:
• experienced (lifelong pony/horse owner) home
• daily turnout come rain or snow
• reasonably competent riding! I’ve previously competed at BE Novice and done lots of BD but have ridden very little in past 18 months
• I have a soft spot for thoroughbreds, but would prefer them to have some life experience outside of racing
• ideally I’d like to do some BD, some low level jumping clinics (90 ish) and lots of hacking. If I haven’t lost my nerve then maybe some low-level BS and BE
• I’m 5’3” and pretty consistently about 55-56kgs so ponies are welcome
• my horses are looked after to very high standards and want for nothing

Please send asking price along with initial information. Realistic budget available.
I’m based in Cambridgeshire but willing to travel for the right horse/pony

Dolly (Auburn Lucie) is a 7-year-old 14.1hh competition pony with the scope, talent and attitude to progress to the top with the right rider.

A proper blood jumping pony who is careful, brave and naturally competitive. Dolly has been professionally schooled on the flat and has been lightly competed up to Foxhunter. She jumped a couple of Newcomers 2nd rounds last year, jumping superbly and just unlucky to have the final pole at Kelsall. We have kept her points low so that she will still be eligible for HOYS second round in 2027 too.

Although primarily produced for showjumping, she has also:
• Taken part in Pony Club activities
• Schooled cross country and jumped everything asked including water and ditches.

Dolly is extremely polite and easy to handle in every way. She stands happily on the lorry when other ponies are taken away and is well behaved and relaxed at stay-away shows.

She has a beautiful temperament and is a pleasure to have around. She happily turns out with others (currently with two geldings) and has never been mareish.

To ride, Dolly is sensitive and reactive, so she must go to a capable, balanced and competitive rider. She would suit a gutsy, experienced jockey looking for a genuine top track pony, and would not be suitable for novices or nervous riders.

She is sound, vice free, has no allergies and has never been lame.

We would love to see Dolly with an established rider aiming to qualify for HOYS in the coming years, where we believe she has the ability to excel.

Sensibly priced for a straightforward sale to the right competitive home. Serious enquiries only please. Viewings welcomed.

Unbelievably still for sale through absolutely no fault of his own, after two 'successful' viewings and passing two 5 stage vettings.

Please no more timewasters.

Exceptionally sad sale due to growing a number of personal reasons. His new home is of the utmost importance.

Stunning 13.2 gelding. His full history and family history known, as we bought him from friends of friends.

He is a wonderful fun hack, not strong and not particularly fast, but he loves to go out and just really enjoys time with his humans and adventures.

He has been good in farm and village traffic and previously hacked on a busy road. He isn't bothered to go alone or with others, and is happy to meet others on the ride and then leave them and head home.

He has been to local shows and has done really well showing, loves to jump but we've only done small courses (60cm) as he's been ridden by novice children and a nervous small adult! He feels much bigger to ride than he looks and the ground is surprising close when you go to get off!!! You can do gates etc from him and he really is just awesome fun to hack and enjoy. He's not spooky, loves to jump but doesn't get silly and will work in a beautiful outline with a more able rider. He's very sensible and has always been safe to ride for us but he's not a total plod. He's a handsome young man, and he knows it!

It makes no difference to him if he's ridden every day or once a month!

He's kind and genuine but does have character, so he prefers not to be the last one left stabled if everyone else has gone out for example!! He will just shout a bit and make his displeasure known!!!

He lives with a mixed herd currently and is bottom of the pecking order. He's barefoot but has been shod before, he lives in or out but does like to be out. He's low maintenance, and in the nicest way, cheap to keep!

An unexpected change in personal circumstances means this is a very reluctant and sad sale with his tack and rugs as he's totally wasted and not getting the human love and attention he so deserves. We would really like to keep in touch if possible and find him a like minded rider or family who will love him and enjoy him.

Please no timewasters. Price is negotiable within reason to the right home.

Much loved 14hh coloured gelding, aged 9.5, owned by us for the last 5 years.

He arrived with us as a green 5-year-old when our daughter was 10, and together they have learnt everything side by side. He has helped develop her into a confident rider and has been an incredibly fun and reliable pony for the last five years.

Sadly only for sale as she has now moved on to her next competition pony and he is not getting the time he deserves.

He has extensive experience including Pony Club rallies, lessons and low-level competitions and absolutely loves hunting and cross country.

He is a super safe hack and genuinely bombproof, happily going out alone or in company and unfazed by traffic and busy environments.

He loads and travels well, is excellent for the farrier and dentist, and clips well (as long as you don’t take too long or he gets bored!).
He is currently barefoot, up to date with everything and has never been sick or sorry.

He has good stable manners.

Like any pony he has opinions:
• Not keen on being led around on a lead rein – he prefers having a rider.
• Not a huge fan of deep water.
• Can be strong to lead sometimes.
• If pushed well beyond his patience he may lift his back legs in protest, but this is very rare and more of a grumpy opinion than a buck, and he always continues his job.

He is in the prime of his life and ready to make another rider very happy. He would suit a wide range of riders looking for a fun and experienced Pony Club, hunting or all-round pony.

Finding the right home is extremely important to us and we would love to stay in touch with his new family. A first refusal buy-back agreement will form part of the sale.

His breeder’s details are in his passport and we have always stayed in touch with them.

He will not be given away as he has endless experience which can be vouched for by instructors, with plenty of photos and videos available.

Serious enquiries only for this very special boy.

CONNEMARA MARE

A very sad sale of this much-loved and intelligent pony, rising 4 (born May 2022) and 14h. Mae is a quality young mare who loves to learn and is ready to progress in the right hands. She was long-reined, lunged and lightly backed in the summer, and is affectionate and willing to please. A 5* home is essential.

Shown in-hand successfully at County level, no vices, confident in traffic, easy to load, N/N for HWSD. Purebred Connemara and graded Class 1.

Only reason for sale is that Mae is too slight for me to ride.
