  • Fantastic temperament
  • Very easy to handle
  • Thrives off attention

Sparky is the favourite of the yard his cheeky but kind and gentle soul catches everyone’s heart. He loves attention and a good fuss.

3yo this year although behaves a lot older. He’s up to date with worming, jabs, teeth and has been seen by the farrier.

Is lightly backed and has not been phased by anything put in front of him. Seen all farm machinery. Hacks out alone and in company. Trots over poles just very green in the arena due to his age.

13hh currently expected to make 13.2.

Ponies like him are like gold dust I’m sure he will turn his hoof to anything.

Looking for a 5* home for this much loved little man.

£170

  • 3 years
  • 12 hands
  • Live with mares or geldings
  • Live out or part stable
  • Ideal companion

Bentley arrived into our care after his owner couldn’t care for him any longer due to personal circumstances, they decided he was best placed with Blue Cross to secure his future. He is currently based in a foster home awaiting his forever family.

He is an inquisitive young pony who would be looking for a home as a non-ridden companion due to being companion sound.

Bentley is still working on some basic handling so will require an experienced home to continue his training to be able to meet his routine care needs. He is still working on being comfortable enough to see the farrier.

He is happy to live out 24/7 or part stable with company. He has lived with mares and geldings and will thrive in a routine with a loving family.

  • 12.1 hands
  • Project pony, lead rein, kids pony
  • Sweet mare
  • Lots of potential

Lily arrived into our care having been transferred from the RSPCA. She arrived completely unhandled but has taken time to settle at our centre and is doing extremely well.

She is a sweet curious baby with lots of potential. Lily now wanders over to start her training sessions with the team, she adores a scratch and finds this super positive! She can now be caught and has started leading, she will happily stand for a groom and have her feet picked out. She has seen the farrier too!

She has grown in confidence and curiosity and would thrive in a set up with someone who has lots of time to give her, ideally to live with other young ponies. Lily is happy to live with mares or geldings and has lived out 24/7 and part stables with company.

Lily is looking for a home as a potential child's ridden pony in the future once she has settled and matured. Due to her size she will most likely be a lead rein type and mature to around 12hh.

  • Gelding
  • 4 years

  • Nemo - 14.2 4yo grey class 1 Connemara
  • Fine stamp of a Connemara with all the attributes to go far
Nemo is a fine stamp of a Connemara with all the attributes to go far, whether it be in the show ring or pony club.

He is working nicely on the flat with 3 lovely paces. Always ridden in a snaffle.

He has hunted on a couple of occasions in Ireland.

Nemo is popping a small course exactly how you would want a 4yo to, he shows scope and braveness to his fences. He has been xc schooling where he was very brave, jumping everything asked of him.

He hacks alone or in company and isn’t phased by farm machinery.

Nemo would be perfect for either a competent teenager/small adult to continue producing. He has all the basics in place and has been produce up to now slowly with his future in mind.

Nemo is very kind and gentle on the ground and in the stable. Easy to do in every way. Good to shoe, box and clip.

Please no novices or time wasters as he is a young horse and this doesn’t do his education any favours.

He will not be sold to just anyone.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

AFAN WAMBLI: Gorgeous Lead Rein / Second Pony

  • Genuine Lead Rein or Second Pony
  • Attends Pony Club, Local Shows, Local Common Ridings

After owning this gorgeous little chap for 2 years, he is now looking for a new little person to love him.

Wally is a perfect Lead Rein pony, loves to stand and be pampered, cuddled and fussed over, but our daughter is now wanting to go free rein and unfortunately, he is more ‘go than woah’ therefore more suited to a second pony. He has hacked out free rein, but is too sharp for the first ridden aspect, having said that he has been free rein in an arena with my daughter at lessons and PC Rallies.

During the time we have owned Wally, our daughter has attended Group Riding lessons; Pony Club Rallies and Camps; local Festival Junior Rides; and local Gymkhanas and Shows. They have had huge fun together, picking up an array of rosettes and won trophy’s for Best Turned Out and Lead Rein Showing. Would be ideal for anyone interested in showing as he is gorgeous (and knows it) with lovely paces.

I have led Wally from my horse, although prefers a ‘hooman’ for the ‘cuddle into factor’.

Good to clip, catch, load/travel in trailer, with Vet, Dentist and Farrier. Not been sick or lame, no laminitis. Up to date with vaccinations, worming and teeth.

Very sad sale so no time wasters or dealers and no Loans or LWVTB. Further images and videos available on request.

Very hard sale of our much-loved pony. A sweet girl, easy to do and generally just a really nice sort to have around.

Happily lives in or out and within a mixed herd.

Fully up to date with vaccinations, teeth, barefoot and good for the farrier.

Moves beautifully and although we bought her for PC for our daughter a year ago she does not seem happy in such a busy ridden life.

She produced a beautiful foal in 2022 with her last owners and we feel a life primarily focused on non ridden activities such as passing on her great qualities to her offspring will be a better fit for her. This is reflected in her price.

Finding the right long-term home for this lovely girl is really important to us.

Lots more photos and videos available on request.

Heart-breaking sale of our registered Welsh Section A , Morvanna Miss Marple, who has unfortunately been outgrown.

We have owned Marple for nearly 3 years and in that time, she has taken my daughter from trotting around on lead rein to competing at 60cm. With us she has done everything at pony club; numerous camps, rallies, and tetrathlon. She has competed successfully unaffiliated in SJ, ODE's and Hunter trials. Marple and my daughter have qualified for the Southwest Show jumping Championship at Hartpury and Trailblazers (both at 60cm) and the Sunshine Tour at 30cm, 40cm, & 50cm. They have also been on fun rides and beach rides.

Marple is good to hack, happy alone or with company and very good in traffic . Marple is good to lunge and responds well to the voice. She will also be happily led from another horse.

Marple can be forward going so more suited as a 1.5/ 2nd pony, but saying that we have had her as a lead rein, first ridden and second pony so depends on the child. She is good for the farrier (currently has fronts on), dentist (is seen every 6 months), and the vet. She is good to catch, clip and load.

She is a good doer but never had laminitis. She is up to date with teeth, vaccinations, worming etc and comes with a substantial wardrobe and a bespoke handmade Issi Russell bridle. 14-inch Ideal GP saddle (less than a year old) by separate negotiation.

5* home only for this very special pony. We are in touch with her previous 2 homes and would love to continue the chain.

Marple does have an extremely tiny cataract in her left eye which was picked up when we had her vetted (vet said it was barely perceptible). We have had this checked every year and it has not changed. Very happy to share vet report.

Adorable 2016 Irish gelding standing at 13.1hh.

This beautiful boy offers a very safe, comfortable and confidence giving ride. Badger is snaffle mouthed, he has been ridden by children and adults, he enjoys hacking when alone and in company, always snaffle mouthed and super easy. He is brilliant with traffic, including farm traffic, doesn’t get hot or silly in busy environments.

Badger has three comfortable paces on the flat, he rides bigger than his size and massively takes up the leg, he would easily be quiet enough for a riding school, he is very forgiving and keen to please.

Jumping wise he has jumped courses at shows, cross country schooled and he’s bold to a fence, not spooky or looky and keen to please, he’s a real genuine type, a super family pony and very much the sort everyone wants, he is trustworthy in every way, happy to be handled and loved by little people too!

Good to clip, load, and catch. Will happily lead from another horse.

Devastating sale but she’s too good to sit in a field and will go on to give another child much pleasure.

Heartbreaking decision, but the time has come for Taffy to find a new little rider to help teach the ropes.

Taffy has taught my daughter so much. He was the perfect step up from her first pony.

He has given us endless fun and success, rosettes, sashes and trophies. He is admired everywhere we go. They’ve competed unaffiliated showjumping, at local and county shows (first riddens and workers) been on fun rides, trail hunting, done all pony club activities, beach rides and clinics.

Schooled around XC and Derby fences (water, steps, ditches, banks)

Bombproof in the heaviest of traffic. Happily hacks alone or in company.

100% catch, box, shoe, clip, load, travel, traffic, bath. Lives alone or with company. Vaccinated upto date.

Eric - Approx 14.2, 4 year old Connie X gelding (no breeding recorded).

Super super sweet pony, riding nicely for his age. Hacking well alone and in company, loves to box up and go for a hack in the woods and pop some logs, goes in front or behind. Going sweetly In arena and popping a fence but just still green as to be expected for his age. Really amenable little chap who soaks everything up like a sponge and goes about his work with a smile on his face. Good to mount.

Very kind temperament, sticks his face up for a kiss on the nose before you put his headcollar on! He’s like a pet dog around the yard and really enjoys standing around for a pamper and a groom - a bit of a timewaster!

Good to catch/load/travel/wash off/kind with other horses.

Make a lovely little allrounder/pony club/riding club/happy hacker.

Very reluctant sale of a much beloved pony. Ollie is the type you can entrust to his rider whilst sitting back and enjoying the experience and it has been a privilege to have him in our family. Our daughter does everything with him herself and he’d stay another year if not hopelessly outgrown. We had a waiting list for him last year all of whom have now found other rides – his type rarely come on the open market.

Ollie is incredibly willing and versatile – truly excels at dressage but also very capable jumping having taken our daughter from 50 to 90cm classes. He also loves XC although this is not something we’ve concentrated on, and has been a member of the PC games team (will run to vault or stand for stirrup). He’s also great to hack out and can be ridden tackless.

We’d like to find a decent little jockey for him who’ll ride him sympathetically. He will step up or down and build confidence - he’d be suited to a child who has already had a second pony in order to get the most out of him.

Well established lateral work including leg yield, rein back, simple changes, turns on the forehand and haunches and working on correct flying changes! Ollie would probably enjoy working equitation. Scores mid 70%’s prelim to decent 60s in recent elementary test.

Wins and qualifications are too numerous to list but include NSEA Hickstead and Addington champs in SJ, JWS and dressage, placing 3rd in inter county prelim final and 2nd in champs novice plate, along with winning the ride-off at PC grassroots final and qualifying for Barrier Spring Festival Novice dressage.

In previous homes he also excelled at WH, did extremely well RC dressage champs and has been in NSEA teams for various disciplines at championships many times and been on JWS winning team.

We are in touch with all three of Ollies previous owners and his previous jockeys have all touched base and share their equine journeys via social media.

He is excellent to handle, groom, shoe, load, bath, clip, etc.

Looking for a 5* home preferably on a private yard for this fabulous little pony where he will live a happy and varied life.

A full wardrobe will be included for Ollies next adventure.
