Ref #: 414674

  • Mare
  • 16 years
  • 13.2hh / 138cm

Glow has been part of our family for the past three years and has given Lily memories that will last a lifetime. She is the kindest, most genuine pony who always gives her best and loves her job.

She is a fantastic all-rounder who has turned her hoof to a bit of everything. While she is capable of jumping, we haven’t done much with her over fences as Lily much prefers to keep all four feet firmly on the ground, so our focus has been on dressage.

Glow has just returned from proudly representing Scotland at the BD Youth Inter Regionals, adding to an already successful competition record which includes competing at the Quest Nationals and numerous local and regional championships. She is equally happy at a stay-away show as she is at a local competition.

She hacks alone and in company, is excellent in traffic, travels beautifully in a trailer or lorry, loads with ease and settles wherever she goes. She is happy to stand for hours being pampered, clips without fuss and is barefoot with no maintenance required.

Glow is safe, sensible and forgiving, making her the ideal pony to either step a rider up or give confidence to someone coming down a level. She has always been ridden by children and is a true family pony.

This is an incredibly difficult sale as Lily has now moved onto her next dressage pony and simply doesn’t have the time to do both justice.

Glow will only be sold to the very best of homes.

POPSTERS LEMON GEORGETTE.

Lemon is a very well bred, super smart dun mare who really catches the eye wherever she goes and whatever she is doing. She is a top class pony who can happily turn her hand to any discipline. She has been quietly and correctly produced over the past year by my now 13yr old daughter.

She has 3 lovely paces and works well on the flat and is still improving as she gets stronger. She loves to jump and is really brave to a fence. She is schooling confidently over 80cm SJ and Xc. Lemon isn't bothered by coloured fillers and jumps steps, ditches, skinnies and water. She has been to numerous PC rallies, indoors, outdoors, Sj and Xc rallies. Pc references are available. She has recently qualified for trailblazers at 70 and 80cm and attended pony club residential camp.

Competitively she has won and been placed at unaffiliated dressage on grass, placed working hunter and tetrathlon all with my daughter. She really is a very talented pony who we really feel can go right to the top in many disciplines. Ideal competitive NSEA/PC pony. At home she is great we use her to nanny breakers and naughty horses.

She happily hacks alone round the roads and round the farm checking the sheep. She is fine with cars and vans but green with large farm machinery. Snaffle mouth at all times, she is definitely more kick than pull however being only 5 she wouldn't suit a total novice or a very nervous small child.

She is super easy to have around and happily lives in or out and turns out with mares or geldings. She has never been sick or sorry and up to date with vaccinations and the dentist. Lemon can be a little nervous with the farrier but she is getting better all of the time. Currently happily barefoot.

Loads in a lorry and a trailer and travels on her own and happily stands on the lorry. Please call to discuss Lemon further we really want to find her the best home. Price now reduced as she has to be sold, now getting hopelessly outgrown by my daughter who has loved producing her.

Searching For A Sensible Family Friend / Allrounder To Enjoy Hacking, Pleasure Rides & Clinics

Ref #: 410902
  • Full Up 14.2 - 15.2hh. Age 6 -14 yrs.
  • Confident Hacking Out / Meeting Farm Vehicles. Sensible To Hack In A Group / At Pleasure Rides.
  • Lightweight Cob / Connemara Or Similar Type.
  • Full Up 14.2 - 15.2hh. Age 6 -14 yrs.
  • Confident Hacking Out / Meeting Farm Vehicles. Sensible To Hack In A Group / At Pleasure Rides.
  • Lightweight Cob / Connemara Or Similar Type.

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise, but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

Casper - approx 14.3, 4 year old Irish cob gelding.

Super smart little chap that would go on a do a variety of fun things if wanted, or equally happy hack for the rest of his life!

Riding really sweetly for his age, he’s done tons of hacking and is used to being ridden on the beach. Working well in the arena for his age with 3 nice paces and good transitions, starting to learn about working on the bridle. Starting to pop a fence and done a bit of XC, he’s a really game little chap and will give anything a go with a smile on his face.

Hacks alone or in company and has been good in the traffic we’ve met and with the farm machinery around the place.

Lovely little cob that’ll make the most super all rounder.

Kind easy going type that takes everything in his stride and will make his new owner very happy.

Good to catch, load, wash off, travel. Turns out individually or with others.

07581238106 - please WhatsApp message for videos. If you call and I don’t answer please send a WhatsApp- NOT voicemail (they don’t work on my phone!) and I’ll get back to you.

🌟 14hh 6-Year-Old Connemara × Appaloosa Mare – £12,500 🌟

A fantastic opportunity to own a talented and versatile 14hh, 6-year-old Connemara × Appaloosa mare with all the qualities to make a top Pony Club all-rounder or competitive jumping pony.

She is confidently jumping up to 1.10m with plenty of scope to progress further. Brave, careful, and willing, she has a fantastic attitude to her work and always tries her best. Unfazed by fillers, water, combinations etc.

She is bombproof and completely unfazed by traffic, farm machinery, open spaces, and busy environments, making her a genuine confidence-giver. She would be perfectly suited to a child wanting to enjoy Pony Club, hunting, camps, and all-round fun, or a competitive teenager looking to excel in showjumping, eventing, or riding club competitions.

She is kind, easy to handle, and has excellent manners both on the ground and under saddle. She loads and travels perfectly in a trailer, stands quietly, and takes everything in her stride. A genuine, straightforward mare with a lovely temperament and a bright future ahead.

Currently got an amazing loaner who takes her out, competes etc so very hard sale. Our loaner did a lot of work on her!

No novices as she can be forward and strong.

I am not in a rush to sell her, so she will only be going to a home which I think is suitable. Comes with full wardrobe

  • Show- jumped BS on a ticket,
  • Hunted fox and blood hounds
  • Good jump, forward, soft mouth

14 .2 HH with shoes, currently bare foot. 14.1hh unshod.

7 years old this year late foal.

Has bs sj on a ticket (video's available) via whatsapp, also SJ by me unaffiliated this year, won or placed each time out.

Has x country schooled and competed dressage and show jumping with previous owner, has also hunted with both blood and fox hounds

Jumps anything put in front of him, forward to a fence but not strong, soft snaffle mouth

Great hack alone or with company, forward but not strong, soft snaffle mouth, schools nicely when in consistent work, goes nicely in an outline when in consistent work, we have been schooling him jumping , pole work so he see's his own stride, but he will still jump whether he see's his own stride or gets it wrong. we have had him out competing, great to load and travel and fine with all going on around him in the warm up, goes with his ears pricked and a smile on his face, he is not the finished article, but he has been out competing and been placed each time so far, (no poles down)

Been in hand and ridden showing and whp, and hunter pony classes inhand, won or placed each time out, a genuine nice to deal with all rounder, loads and travel's well alone or with company, stands quietly on the lorry when his buddy is taken off and quietly waits his turn, really nice guy to deal with, goes out/in first or last, out in field alone or with company no issues just likes his food, presently carrying to much weight, as he is not doing enough work due to my health issues.

I brought him (mature petit female) with the intention of showing, whp, sj, ode, arena eventing and hunting and hacking and he does it all with a smile on his face, I feel now he would suit a younger rider who is happy to compete regularly and keep him in consistent work.

lovely chunky stamp of a pony, no recorded breeding but by his lovely cheeky kind character and his eye catching leg action in trot, I would assume him to be a welsh part bred. not enough feather to do traditional classes though !

Happy chap to deal with day to day, good catch , clip , farrier load etc, no vices or lumps or bumps, very good doer !

Vacc's , teeth, worming all up to date

Brought 20 months ago with full 5 stage vets cert. open to any vet.

After my heart attack i am unsure going forward of my future plans so he is sadly offered for sale , his tack and rugs could go with him at an additional cost.

he is not available for loan, and I do not think he would suit a novice.

I did not expect to advertise him once I got him going, but sadly no one can predict the future or health issues

He is a lovely natured pony who should be out competing and enjoying himself with a like minded rider.

If advert is still live then he is still available

Texts will not be answered.. other then for jumping video,
I have no addition videos of recent show jumping as I was not expecting to put him up for sale !

We are on the hunt for that pony.

You know the one.

The mother’s dream, the schoolmaster, the “why on earth are they selling this?!” type, the one you’ve considered having more kids for..

Specs:

* Approx 12 - 13hh

* Gelding preferred (a non-mareish mare absolutely welcome - no prejudice here, just mild emotional scarring from one hormonal diva already in residence)

The rider:

A small 9 year old with a beautiful seat and hands, currently popping around 50cm out, 60cm + at home on a saintly type.

However…

Said child is not here for mind games, life lessons, or character-building via being launched into next year.

We are seeking confidence, not chaos.

* Take child safely from 50cm up to ~70cm without drama.

* Attend Pony Club, school teams, hacking adventures

* Be a best friend, therapist, and occasional babysitter

* Be 100% in open spaces (we live on a farm - no hedges to cling to here, just vibes and fields)

* Hack alone and in company like it’s a gentle stroll through a Jane Austen novel

* Preferably the type that, when faced with excitement, thinks:

“Absolutely not, I am a professional.”

Personality required:

* Kind

* Forgiving

* Mannerly

* Unflappable

* Has absolutely nothing left to prove to anyone

The home:

* Experienced, knowledgeable, and slightly obsessive

* Farm with turnout, routine, and a varied life

Absolutely gorgeous 14hh silver dun 3 yo reg Connemara by the legendary Gwennic de Goariva, his dam is by Moy Hazy Cove.

Owned since a foal, well handled and very much part of our family.

Pumpkin is such a special pony, he combines eye catching looks, quality, good conformation and a kind temperament.

He has a positive, forward thinking attitude and has taken everything in his stride. He is broken in and quietly riding away, showing three beautiful straight, quality paces. He is very accepting in transitions and understanding.

Hes quietly hacked out through our woodland, farm and on the roads, taking everything in.

He is now at a perfect stage for someone to take on and produce further. He hasn’t been over asked or rushed.

Good to do in all ways, he is handled daily by my 10 yo daughter, good with the farrier, and to do in every way.

He carries serious quality and in the right home has all the attributes to make a top level WHP, event pony.

Will only be considered to the right 5* home

Bobby is an absolute superstar tiny tots Lead Rein pony. He will carry the smallest of jockeys safely around the biggest of atmosphere's. Doesn't mind a little one wobbling around on his back.

Qualifies for M&M LR NPS Scotland finals every year, (also qualified as a FR in 2025)

Was also 3rd out of 50 in the M&M LR final at stars 2024.

Bobby was bought to introduce our family into showing county level - too many wins and championships to mention - and he has done just that. Taking both my daughters from when they were 3yrs old and teaching them up downs. He has been ridden off the lead in First Ridden but needs longer legs to keep him going.

Bobby loves a varied life and we have successfully competed him in SJ, XC, WH and hunting. Will happily lead from another horse.

All Vaccs, worming, farrier up to date, Happily travels in a lorry or a trailer.

This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony, but my daughter has moved on to a Show Pony and we would love for him to go and do the same for another family that he has done for us.

3yr appaloosa x cob dun and white mare currently standing at 13.2

Homebred so full history known, been well handled since a youngster so used to leading, tying up, seeing the farrier, grooming, bathing etc.

A really friendly, sweet type. She'll follow you round the field for ages just to lick you!

She has been bitted, walked out in hand to see traffic and done some gentle lunging ready for someone to make their own.

Loves a fuss and a groom, good with her feet. Had a rug on, and is happy in or out. Stables quietly and is nice with other horses.

Loads and travels well.

She is going to be a lovely, versatile allround type for a child or small adult to make their own. She has an inquisitive, level headed nature and learns quickly with a good attitude.

She is used to a farm environment and despite not being away from home before she settled quickly here and fitted right in.

She is up to date with trimming, worming, vaccs and dentist.

She has unfortunately rubbed her tail a bit but possibly environmental as we haven't seen her do it here.

She is on sales livery, if I don't answer please leave a message and I'll call back ASAP.

Galway Rosey is a lovely 14.2hh, 5-year-old weight carrying mare with a kind temperament and a super attitude to work.

She schools sweetly on the flat and is responsive through her transitions. She's not your typical ploddy cob that needs a kick every stride; instead, she's forward-thinking without being strong and maintains a lovely, rhythmical way of going. Perfect for us lazy riders who appreciate the reliability and safety of a cob but would rather not spend the whole ride nagging with our legs!

I think with further schooling she would look fantastic in the show ring.

Rosey hacks confidently both alone and in company. She is unfazed by traffic, sensible in open spaces, and isn’t strong making her a pleasure to take out.

While show jumping isn't naturally her strongest discipline, she always tries her best and never says no, showing a genuine willingness to please.

On the ground, Rosey is an absolute pet to handle with excellent manners. She passed a vetting upon import, giving you peace of mind you’re not going to fall in love and fail at the first hurdle!

Scooby Doo – The Ultimate First Pony

Scooby Doo is the quietest, kindest and most sensible little pony you could ever wish to meet. He is exceptionally safe, with impeccable manners both under saddle and on the ground, making him the perfect first pony both on and off the lead rein.

He will happily walk, trot and canter beautifully on the lead rein for children taking their very first steps into riding. Off the lead rein, he is equally happy carrying riders who are holding the saddle handle while building confidence, as well as those riding independently. He truly has a young body with an old head on his shoulders. He is never spooky, sharp, strong or silly and always takes wonderful care of his riders.

Over the past 15 months, Scooby Doo has worked in a professional riding school where he has safely taught hundreds of children, from tiny tots aged just two years old through to more established young riders. He has patiently introduced countless children to walk, trot, canter and their very first jumps. He has three beautifully balanced, steady paces and responds exceptionally well to the voice, allowing beginners who are still holding the saddle handle to be guided confidently without needing rein contact.

Scooby has never bolted, reared, bitten or shown any nasty traits. He has the sweetest, kindest nature any parent could wish for. He IS NOT cheeky, mischievous or naughty like some little ponies can be. He greets everyone with his ears pricked forward, comes to call from the field and absolutely adores kisses, cuddles and attention. He truly is every child’s dream pony, with the most adorable little face that you simply can’t help but fall in love with.

He waits patiently in group lesson waiting for his turn, is equally well behaved in private lessons, and has taken part in our in-house competitions including Lead Rein classes, Handy Pony, Fancy Dress and Pony Club rallies.

He has a lovely snaffle mouth and requires no gadgets.

Scooby is affectionately known as our “large puppy dog” because of his incredibly affectionate, gentle and loyal personality. He adores people and will happily follow you around the yard without a headcollar or lead rope. He stands quietly to be groomed, bathed and fussed over, and genuinely loves attention.

His manners are second to none, allowing even the youngest children to confidently catch him from the field, lead him, groom him, pick out his feet, tack him up and care for him safely.

He is a firm favourite during our stable management courses and therapy sessions, where his calm, trustworthy nature allows children to build confidence while working independently.

Scooby is exceptional out hacking. He is completely unfazed by heavy, fast-moving traffic and has seen everything from articulated lorries, double-decker buses, tractors and trailers to motorbikes, bicycles, prams / trolleys and dogs, absolutely nothing fazes him.

He hacks confidently both alone and in company, happily leading or following. He is never strong, nappy or silly and is perfectly content to stay at the back of the ride without trying to overtake, maintaining whatever pace is asked of him. In open spaces he remains calm, relaxed and sensible. If the other horses canter away, Scooby is more than happy to stay behind with his rider, and he will patiently wait if the others return home ahead of him.

Scooby enjoys jumping and will happily pop a small course of coloured or rustic fences, both on and off the lead rein, always giving his rider confidence.

He is excellent to clip, catch, load, travel, shoe and stands perfectly for the dentist, farrier and vet. He loads first time, every time, travels impeccably and is an absolute pleasure to take out and about.

Scooby has recently passed our annual Riding School Licence inspection, carried out by a veterinary surgeon, which is comparable to a Stage 2 vetting.

During the entire time we have owned him, he has never been sick, lame, suffered from colic or required any time off through injury or illness. He is fit, healthy and in excellent condition, with no sarcoids, sweet itch, laminitis, lumps or bumps.

He is wonderfully low maintenance and doesn’t need riding every day. He can happily have four weeks off and return to work exactly as he left it, without any fuss or freshness. He currently works four days a week in our riding school and thoroughly enjoys his job. Sold on behalf of a working livery.

We have several horses and ponies available for viewing.

Scooby has a very simple routine and is incredibly easy to keep. He has a basic diet of haylage when stabled and grass when turned out. He currently lives in a mixed herd of 25 horses, is stabled during the day when working and turned out overnight. Equally, he would be perfectly happy living out full-time or being stabled full-time. He is not clingy and is equally content living or turning out on his own if required.

Scooby is only available because we regularly rotate our riding school horses after around 12 months to two years. We strongly believe these wonderful ponies deserve the opportunity to enjoy a one-to-one family home where they receive individual attention, more variety and plenty of fun adventures. They work incredibly hard teaching children and give so much of themselves every single day, so we feel they deserve the very best next chapter.

Whoever is lucky enough to buy Scooby will not just be purchasing a pony—they will be gaining a kind, genuine and utterly trustworthy family member who will give a child years of confidence, fun and unforgettable memories.

Jimmie is a 14.2h 4yo Irish Sport Pony piebald gelding. He is very quiet and remains slightly ‘more woah than go’ in even the most hectic of horseshows!

Jimmie is extremely brave and loves cross country. He has no issue jumping water, drains, coffins, hedges, etc. He has been a good lead pony for nervous horses. He would be a safe hunt pony for a child.

He has been produced slowly and well loved by our riders and summer working students for his consistent work ethic and friendly personality. He has jumped with our rider up to 1.05m.

Jimmie has been consistently clear in 80s showjumping classes at unregistered shows with scope for more. He loves competing and remains easy to ride on course. He is never strong or hot.

He is easy to ride in the contact in a loose ring snaffle and has a comfy canter. He would best suit a child confidently cantering crossrsail courses, or a mother/daughter share.

Jimmie is quiet for hacking in groups, around traffic, machinery, and cows.

He is gentle and kind for anyone to handle, catch, load, shoe, clip, tie, etc.

He is open to any vetting
