Our beautiful boy has been hopelessly outgrown, and we are heartbroken to be writing this advert, but at nine years old he still has his prime ahead of him and he deserves to give another child all the joy and fun he has given us.

He has taken my nervous, eleven year old daughter from popping around 50cm courses to competing in the International Arena at Hickstead at 85cm in the NSEA finals.

Noteable achievements:

2026

Qualified for the Pony Club Spring Barrier Festival Champs in Arena Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage.

Was part of the second placing team in Arena Eventing 85cm with two double clears

Two double clears and a top ten place at 85cm SJ.

Two double clears at 70cm

Finished mid way down the table in dressage.

Is part of the NSEA County Champ Team at 75cm

Has qualified for Pony Club Regional Champs in dressage and SJ. We were unable to attend the eventing qualifiers.

2025

2nd place in first ever Cotswold Cup

Qualified for Sunshine Tour in SJ (70&80cm), WHP, Dressage and Arena Eventing. Sadly we were unable to attend the champs themselves.

Qualified for the International Arena at Hickstead at 85cm NSEA Champs - this has been postponed in 2026 due to the weather.

Various other Pony Club, NSEA & other unaffiliated events.

Has competed in some WHP shows, which is not really our thing, but has done well, and I believe he would do well in this.

He is good for, and up to date with farrier, vacinations, dentist and maintenance physio. He lives in or out happily.

My daughter, who is small for her age has been able to look after him independently from the day we got him, including loading him into our lorry.

The transformation in my daughter’s confidence and riding ability has been remarkable thanks to this gorgeous pony.

Unfortunately the time has come to find Cheeto a new jockey. He is a 12 year old 11.2hh chestnut gelding with no recorded breeding.

We have owned him for the past 4 years and he is my youngest daughter’s pride and joy. She has done everything with him. He is a proper little all rounder from doing ODE, SJ, XC schooling, pony club camp, PC rallies, beach rides & the gallops. He is confident up to 60cm.

He is the character of the yard being a typical cheeky pony but is always handled and cared for by my daughter.

This is a very sad sale purely due to being outgrown and he is too good a pony and too young to become a field ornament. He is not a novice ride so definitely more of a second pony. He is very responsive to the leg and forward to ride. Not a kick along. He is not naughty just quite strong for a little pony and takes some getting used to.

He schools nicely in all 3 paces. He is great to hack alone and in company and is happy to lead the ride unfazed by traffic, sheep, tractors etc. He can also be easily led from another horse if needed and is not bothered by sticking to their side.

I also believe he has the potential to make a great driving pony.

He is currently barefoot and copes fine without shoes. His perfect to load, clip, trim, bath & groom all done by my daughters.

⭐Overview & Temperament

Hunter is a very friendly, willing, and solid little chap with a kind nature. He is never silly or sharp, making him the ideal family pony, 1.5/2nd pony for a confident child, a mother-daughter share, or a small adult. He has spent the past year being ridden by my 12 year old daughter. Prior to that he was ridden in a small riding school for 3 years expertly carrying children aged 6–12 of all abilities—from absolute beginners on a lead rein to confident riders off-lead.

He takes up the leg remarkably well; he is comfortably ridden by a 5'4" adult as

well as children.

⭐Riding, Schooling & Hacking

Hunter loves jumping, showing off his lovely canter, schooling, games, and fancy dress. He is fantastic at join-up and will happily follow you around the arena over poles and obstacles. On the roads, he is excellent in traffic, hacking out on narrow country lanes alongside tractors, tankers, and farm machinery. He hacks out confidently in company and has been highly sensible solo when my daughter hacks accompanied by me on foot.

⭐Show Success & Potential

This spring and summer, Hunter attended local shows and competed in in-hand classes, placing every time with child handlers. He settled well into the busy showground atmosphere and behaved both in and out of the ring. A judge recently noted that he has the build and traits to make a great driving pony if someone wished to explore that discipline.

⭐Ground Handling & Management

On the ground, Hunter is a true yard favourite who loves a fuss—nobody can resist tickling his moustache over the stable door! He stands patiently when tied up, loves being groomed, bathed, and is an absolute dream to clip (he literally taught me how to do it). He is excellent to catch and will meet you in the paddock for scratches. He is barefoot all round, a very hardy type who can live out 24/7 or stabled overnight, and happily lives with both mares and geldings without getting upset if left alone.

Being a friendly, food-loving pony, he may try to pull a small child toward prime grass or haylage.

⭐Health & Wardrobe

Hunter is fully up to date with vaccinations, farrier and dentist.

He stands patiently for the vet and the farrier (especially with a lick). He loads perfectly, though he prefers company as he can get slightly anxious when travelling alone. He comes with his complete wardrobe,

Sylvie has been in the same home since a 3 year old so full history known, only for sale due to ill health.

Our stunning, clean limbed, great allrounder has been to pony club rally’s indoor and outdoor, on surfaces and grass, has competed in dressage and SJ competitions and been on funrides. Not phased by open fields, going through woodland and through water. Great to hack, both in a group or in his own and has been on multiple hound exercises.

He has been show successfully in a pervious home but with us we have allowed him to experience a bit more of the world than just showing as whilst he is 10 he was only backed as a 9 year old so had little mileage and can still be a bit green in some areas.

My lightweight 14 year old son absolutely loves riding him as he is so responsive and eager to learn. Can sometimes need a little reassurance and takes confidence from his rider but the more he does the better he gets. He is just sadly very much outgrown, my son has grown like a weed over the holidays and the time has come.

Bobby was bought to introduce our family into showing county level - too many wins and championships to mention - and he has done just that. He has been a wonderful family friend with us for 7 years, ridden by three daughter's and mum and competed at all levels, He would now like a quieter life although he is still healthy and active.

He l is great fun to hack alone and in company and is 100% in traffic. I have trusted him to hack alone with my teenage daughters on country lanes and tracks for miles over the Quantocks. He likes to be in front when hacking in company. He can be busy and lively in a group so definitely not suitable for novice or nervous riders. He enjoys fun rides but finds them very exciting.
