14.2hh black gelding cob X 7 year old

Super sensible with gorgeous personality

Will be a fabulous happy hacker / pony club / riding club all rounder.

Hacks alone and in company, snaffle mouth not too forward and a lovely ride.

Has been to shows, loaded and hacked off the yard and arena hires.

Pops around small courses, coloured and natural fences. He has done everything we have asked if him totally genuine and unspoilt.

Good with farrier, easy horse to have on the yard.

Turned out with mixed heard. Easy to catch, calm in the stable and on a busy yard.

Loves to be groomed / pampered, stands at the hose.

We clip his feathers, which he stands well for.

Recently seen the dentist, Vaccinations up to date.

Loads but sometimes hesitant at the bottom of the ramp, never more than a couple of minutes.

STANLEY GRANGE TAITTINGER

148cm 7 yo bay gelding. This pony is an absolute delight. He’s been with us a few weeks. And honestly hasn’t put a foot wrong. He is like a pet to deal with on the yard. Gets on with all other horses. Perfect to hack. He stood on the motorway bridge and didn’t batter an eye. Doesn’t get silly or strong on the gallops

Or in the field. Not massively experienced to a fence as mainly shown. But is really enjoying it. And proving to be just as easy as he is to do Everything else. Doesn’t mind having a few days off is still a well behaved pony. We can’t find anything negative about him. He has been successfully shown. Qualified RI 25/25. And Was placed 5th there. A regular in the ribbons. I’d love this lad for my daughters. I’ve tried!! but they won’t part with theirs.

The only reason this wonderful pony is for sale is because the current rider has found him a bit ‘much’ in the show ring. He’s been professionally produced and he gives it his all

Wanted LWVTB

  • 13hh - 15 2hh
  • RDA centre needing LWVTB/Loan
  • Temperament is more important than breed

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

If you would like to check out our RDA centre we are online and Facebook as Elisabeth Curtis Centre.

Always super fun he has won pony club events , competed BE had great dressage results and shown much ability. Also he has jumped up to 90 easily and done pony club camp !

Ridden by several children and a mum this year he has shown great ability and kindness whilst still being a great character to have around.

He has been ridden by smaller children and has helped them learn as he waits to be asked properly to do his job and not run off while they are working it out!

He is a character and has been strong to lead at times but we have always found him safe and kind to be around and handle in the field in the stable and transport etc.

Good with farrier and clip and to bath . . He hacks out in a group without pulling to get to the front but has also been in front.

Stands happily on and off trailer at shows.

A very special, home-produced young gelding.

I have owned Charlie from 10 months old, broken and entirely produced by myself. He has been an absolute pleasure to produce and is the loveliest person with manners to die for.

He is snaffle mouthed and lovely and light in the hand. He has been a quick learner in picking up an excellent foundation of flat and jump work, enjoying his work and being willing to please.

He has three good, balanced paces and is lovely and light in the hand. He can work nicely forward and produce a quality way of going for a more experienced rider, but equally has the temperament to step down a gear and look after a less confident rider.

He hacks both alone and in company and is a sensible, straightforward ride. He is not spooky hacking or when jumping fillers, and has a lovely attitude to new experiences. He has recently been cross country schooling and was very easy throughout.

He has also been ridden by a less experienced year old girl, for whom he adapted brilliantly - going quietly and reassuringly while remaining responsive and cooperative.

He is well mannered and easy to have around. He is good for the farrier, vet, to travel, etc. He is excellent to handle, having been brought up and produced with care from a young age. Charlie has been shown at local and county shows as a youngster, so is used to the atmosphere and behaves excellently at such events.

He has been carefully and correctly produced, without being rushed, and has a lovely attitude to his work. He is the sort you enjoy having around and genuinely want to see do well.

Emrys is the kindest, most loving pony, he loves attention and treats.

Emrys is a little speed machine, loves to jump, will never stop and is not afraid of fillers/water trays etc.

Emrys would make a super worker pony in the right hands as he’s a smart boy. Perhaps an all-rounder Pony Club Pony, or Emrys would make a super games pony, he’s quick and nifty. He loves the games equipment.

5* home only for this special boy and I would like to stay in contact and follow his journey wherever he may go.

No novices as only backed last year as gelded late and ready to go to a home that'll spoil him; needs a home who’s going to love him, he is easy to catch, great to load, groom, wash and no problems with the dentist or farrier. Fully vaccinated.

please contact me for videos and further information about Emrys.

He is a true gentleman. For sale as very sadly out grown. A great kid's pony. Good to catch, clip, shoe, teeth, travel, hack out, groom, wash.

Mixes with other horses inside or outside.

Good on lead, or off lead. He will walk beside you if you need to walk with your child. You can also lead another pony from him.

He doesn't mind dogs & been used to heard sheep.

Exceptional 12.1hh, 10 year old traditional coloured mare.

  • Exceptional temperament
  • Qualified RIHS open ridden coloured 2025

Exceptional 12.1hh, 10 year old traditional coloured mare.

True first pony, lead rein, junior ridden or RDA pony.

We bought Dolly for my twin 10 year olds, just over a year ago, primarily as my daughter, who rides with the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) desperately wanted her own pony. Her twin had never sat on a pony before. Dolly has taught them both to ride, including winning numerous classes over the summer, qualifying for the sunshine tour in first ridden, lead rein and in hand classes. My children do everything independently with Dolly – bringing in and turning out, grooming, bathing, tacking up, loading, feeding. She is a true child’s pony, I know that they are absolutely safe around her, no matter what they are doing. Dolly will stand for hours and hours to be pampered, groomed, bathed, plaited and cuddled.

Dolly is fantastic to hack. She hacks in gale force winds, rain or shine, alone and in company but mainly alone as we are on a competition yard with adults – with one of my girls riding, then they swap half way! She hacks on open countryside and has experienced out of control dogs running at her, barking and jumping at her and owners chasing them and stands still and calm. We have taken her up to the South Downs accidently at the same time as a cross country race and again she was completely non plussed by multiple high vis runners on narrow paths racing past her. She’s had mountain bikes zoom past, from behind her, and again not spooked or got upset. She has an exceptional temperament that is incredibly hard to find. We have taken Dolly up on the South downs, through woodlands, to the beach, to shows – both indoor and on grass and she has been brilliant. This is all with my novice daughters who had only ridden with RDA and the other never before Dolly. Dolly has been led from me in my power chair with our two dogs running alongside. My daughter hacked Dolly from the yard to the beach with a group of adults. She had to lead the group across the railway crossing as the horses were being silly. She stood on the beach whilst they had a good gallop, away from her and back towards and then they hacked home together.

After only a few months of riding, Dolly has taken both my girls to lots of shows – their first ever show she won her classes with both children! She is very easy at shows, happy to stand and eat a haynet, for the kids to walk her round, share an ice cream, be sat on bareback and played with. She needs zero working in. My daughter who had never ridden before getting Dolly is now confidently riding in first ridden and pony club classes and Dolly has competed in lead rein, in hand, junior handler, dressage, handy pony (where she was 2nd out of well over 20 entries), never coming away without a ribbon! She won her in hand coloured class at her last show. Dolly qualified for RIHS 2025 in the open coloured ridden class and would be a really top class junior ridden.

My girls mainly enjoy hacking, doing obstacle courses in the sand school, having lessons, lunging her, doing shows, trotting over cross poles, pole clinics and just generally playing with her. They do not canter and have no desire, they are both novice / nervous and have never wanted to progress to anything faster than a trot. Dolly is very well schooled and with her previous owner competed regularly in dressage and affiliated showing, qualifying for RIHS on her first attempt. Dolly would be a top junior ridden and would excel at both dressage and showing or equally as a cherished first pony, teaching tiny tots to ride or would be an exceptional RDA pony. I do not think jumping will be her forte – she will trot over very small cross poles but we have done nothing more. My ideal home is one where she is adored and pampered like she is here.

Dolly is well used to dogs and has met cattle, sheep and lots of livestock out hacking on the downs. She is not phased by tractors, bikes, motorbikes, cars and so on.

Dolly is excellent to catch, shoe, clip, bath, load. We have a single trailer but she has also travelled in company in both a lorry and trailer – she is loaded and unloaded by my children. You can do everything with Dolly without her tied up – I can clip her face etc with no headcollar. She is very easy on the ground, has no vices and is not mareish or difficult to manage when in season. She turns out alone or in company, is respectful of fencing, has been in by day and out by night over the summer and is out by day, in by night in winter. She stables alone if needed as is very content with a haynet! She is barefoot with good feet. Dolly is up to date with her vaccinations and passed a 5 stage vetting last year (2025). She has never been unsound, unwell or needed the vet, except for her vaccinations.

Any viewings, inspections and vetting fully welcomed – I have 1000s of photos and videos to show all the things they do together.

Please note, Dolly is very heavily feathered and as such these need maintence and care specific to traditionals- will talk this all through honestly with all buyers.

Ponies like Dolly are very few and far between and references can be obtained from both previous owners.

This is a devastating sale due to an unexpected and life changing medical diagnosis earlier this year meaning I am in and out of hospital and have a long, complex treatment plan ahead. Please absolutely no timewasters, or those not in a position to buy, as this is a distressing time for everyone involved. Home is of utmost paramount importance.

This is a sale only, no loans, I am very keen to stay in touch as is previous owner, if at all possible please.

Based West Sussex, excellent trial facilities. Price negotiable to very best home.

Dolly will come with everything - bridle, rugs etc, 6 month old made to measure Ideal GP by seperate negotiation.

We can potentially help with delivery.

We are hoping to find a really good home for this handsome little star where he will be loved and enjoyed by a new little rider.

He has proved to be a safe fun pony, doing various PC activities, fun rides, hacking, training sessions. His current rider was 8 when she started the loan and she is now 10 and growing fast ..so looking for a bigger pony. Since I, ( the owner) don't have any children he is offered for sale.

He is not a whizzy pony... quite steady , although genuine enquiries can see his showjumping video where he does a lovely clear round at a good pace over a set of 50cm jumps with his loan rider.

He is available straightaway and can be viewed at loan home near Alsager, Staffordshire.

Genuine enquiries please, we really want him to go to a kind knowledgeable home where he will be well looked after. He's such a lovely personality he does deserve a home where he will be appreciated, so please don't be offended if I ask questions about his next home.

**To enquire please text first as limited phone signal means I often miss calls and I do not use voicemail... at least texts usually get through and then I can go to an area of better reception to call you.

12.2 Approx 17yo gelding (no DOB in passport). Steady and safe on the lead rein and for a novice, but equally has hunted and has a good jump including dykes. Great to hack, good in traffic and open spaces. Typical pony will veer to grass (we use balance support reins which sort it). Lives in or out with any herd, has been a wonderful nanny to our youngsters. He will lead another or be lead off another. Good to clip, load, travel. No particular ailments, has the odd cough if arena dusty, goodness knows if would fly through a 5stage vetting but he is a good, sound, kid friendly pony. Goes barefoot with us. More and videos on request.

NB- My son was a total novice when we bought Fred, and my main prerequisite when I purchased Fred was SAFE. He has never once given me a moment where I have had to worry that any high jinks (!) are about to occur, he is a super cool, solid ‘mums favourite’ kind of pony that would equally give some fun to a slightly more ambitious rider within reason. Much more whoa than go- a small rider would struggle to get him to canter in the arena without a tap or mum clicking but similarly a stronger child could probably coax a half decent SJ round out of him.

Please no tyre kickers- we think the world of him and this is a very sad sale!

- He is in his late teens

- He is a pony (!). Will always try veer off to grass/ a bucket, is prone to laziness.

- He may not fly through flexion tests

He has good legs, not covered in lumps/ bumps. He doesn’t have any sweet itch etc and has never had a bout of lami with us.

He will do his absolute best to look after your child and has no wild ideas of going fast or busting any moves without plenty of encouragement.

He is super friendly with adults, kids and animals alike.

  • Get on and do, really fun pony, will turn her hooves to anything!

It is time to find our lovely 12.2 a new smaller child to have fun with. A very sad sale that we’ve put off all summer. She is a Welsh Section B with recorded breeding.

Nancy has been a superstar for the last 2.5years, but is now hopelessly outgrown. We bought her from a lovely PC home with two daughters who had her since she was a yearling and was loved just as much. Now, 12 years old, Nancy has done just about everything a pony can do. In the last 2.5yrs shes taken my daughter from her perfect first ridden to jumping round 70cm courses. She will jump bigger single fences at home but her best results have come at 60/70cms.

She has been showjumping, cross country, dressage, farm rides, beach rides, been galloping with my horses, numerous camps including Somerford Park. Pony days, games, been dressed up for Halloween and Christmas jumping - the ultimate child’s fun pony. She has been to championships and stayed away. She has even given dressage to music a go, although she would prefer something in the faster lane.

Nancy is handled by children, but isn’t a pony to stand and be pampered for hours. She’ll be brushed and hooves picked out by children but she wants to be on with her job. She is not fizzy or buzzy but covers the ground for a 12.2 and is quite quick, including against the clock! She will however step down and trot round a 40/50cm course and has been ridden on the lead by my youngest who doesn’t ride.

She hacks alone and in company, and large groups, is safe to take into open spaces, and will gallop along with the big ones no problem at all and she will keep up! She’s been on fun rides, farm rides and to the beach with no worries of her running off.

The ideal home will be a medium to confident small child who wants to do a little bit of everything, coming off their first ridden pony, as she really does thrive off working. Not really suitable for a child who is coming straight off the lead rein because she wants to be on with her job. Doesn’t buck or rear, and isn’t particularly sharp, but would prefer a balanced child because shes quite petite. Safe in all situations, with traffic, farm machinery, other ponies in warm ups. Can also be led off another horse. We bought her for my then just turning 9yr old and I wish we’d bought her a year sooner!

Teeth, vaccinations, physio, farrier all up to date. She hasn’t needed shoeing and we’ve done lots with her over varying terrains. She has currently had a summer of less work whilst we’ve focussed on the bigger ponies, so is a little bit rounder than she should be but it won’t take her long to be in prime shape again. She is a delicate stamp of a pony when fit and competing. Nancy has filled my daughters wall with rosettes,

We have 100s of photos and videos of her in all scenarios over the years. Please only enquire if you’re seriously interested. Shes been part of our family, living at home with us, so we know her very well. Sadly my daughter’s legs nearly touch under her belly.

TENTATIVELY LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME — HUDSONS RINGA ROSIE

12.2hh | 6-year-old | Skewbald Mare | TGCA & IPSA Registered | €6,000 now as moving away for college (Open to offers) Being sold with TOYS ride.

It is with a very heavy heart that we are tentatively looking for the perfect new home for our much-loved girl, Hudsons Ringa Rosie.

Rosie is an absolutely beautiful, eye-catching skewbald mare who is about as wide as she is tall and quite literally marked like a painting! 🎨 She has that lovely, square little native type with a foot in each corner, a fabulous temperament and an abundance of presence.

Currently standing as TGCA Part Bred of the Year, Rosie is a top-class HOYS native contender and has already successfully competed both in-hand and under saddle.

Despite her competition potential, Rosie is also the ultimate mother’s dream. She is currently ridden by a 5-year-old little girl, who absolutely adores her, Rosie has hunted off the lead and is equally established ridden off the lead, Rosie is equally adored by everyone on the yard. ❤️

✨ Rosie is:

* 6 years old

* 12.2hh

* Skewbald mare

* TGCA registered

* IPSA registered

* TGCA Part Bred of the Year

* A serious HOYS native contender

* Competed successfully in-hand & under saddle

* Ridden in a snaffle

* Hacks alone or in company

* Absolutely bombproof

* Totally unfazed by tractors, lorries and machinery

* Excellent ground manners

* Stands beautifully for the farrier, physio and dentist

* Kind, genuine and incredibly easy to handle

Rosie really is the perfect combination of a competitive pony and a much-loved family friend. She has the ability and presence to go right to the top, while also having the temperament and manners to be trusted with a little one.

She is the type of pony that is very hard to replace, so finding her the right home is far more important to us than simply finding her a new owner. 🩷

We would love to find Rosie a 5⭐️, knowledgeable and loving home where she will continue to be cherished, enjoyed and given every opportunity to reach her full potential.

💰 €6,000

Serious enquiries only, please.

A loving, long-term home is an absolute priority. We will be very particular about where this special girl goes.

📩 Please message for further information, videos and enquiries.

  • Genuine quality pony for a competent small adult wanting to get out and enjoy themselves

Super smart 8-year-old New Forest mare, looking for a competent small adult to go out and have fun with.

Ariel is a lovely little mare with a good education on the flat. She works correctly in all three paces, and is enjoyable to ride.

She is currently jumping confidently around 60–70cm and would be ideal for someone wanting to enjoy Riding Club, clinics, lessons, low-level dressage, jumping and general all-round activities, with scope to continue progressing.

She is forward-thinking and responsive rather than a kick-along type, so is not suitable for a complete novice. She suits a balanced, confident rider who enjoys riding rather than simply being carried around.

At 14.2hh she would particularly suit a small adult who wants all the fun of a horse without needing 16.2hh of it!

Only available because her current rider has moved onto horses and Ariel is now surplus to requirements.

Milly has jumped single fences of up to 90cm but is probably best suited as a starter competition pony rather than having top track potential. Milly is nicely schooled on the flat to prelim level, and understands the lateral work. She has untapped potential on the flat, and would easily be a very smart BD pony, but my daughter doesn't enjoy flat work particularly. She has done plenty of XC schooling and is confident with water, steps, ditches etc.

Milly has been all around the country with us and travels perfectly (lorry or trailer) and stables away happily. My daughter does everything with her on her own, including hacking for miles. Milly has hunted lightly, including the opening meet and boxing day last season, and took to it like she had done it her whole life. She took part in one pony race last season, again taking it all in her stride and behaving perfectly. Milly has good correct confirmation and strong feet. She has no health issues and has been completely sound. Up to date with everything. Milly has never bitten, kicked, napped, bucked, run off or reared with us. She lives out 24/7 in the summer on restricted grazing and we turn out in the day and stable at night in the winter.

Milly was a late starter as she has previously bred a foal, who has won in the show ring at county level.

Milly does prefer a balanced, relaxed rider - she does not do anything bad but will get tense if someone hangs onto her mouth or is very wobbly. She is best clipped by an adult. A very good home, ideally with younger children coming along is very important to us. I cannot overstate what a lovely, kind, genuine pony Milly is. Excellent trial facilities and open to vet. Price includes tack and is not negotiable.

11 year old Connemara- N/HWSD (certification will be provided).

Green passport from Connemara Breeders Pony Society.

Bred and produced in the West Coast of Ireland.

Stunning, show stopping mare, you won’t find a prettier one out there. Sadly, jockey has moved on to 148's.

3 lovely paces. Beautiful conformation. Would excel in showing or dressage, looks stunning when all plaited up, always getting superb comments from judges. Has been in the same home for past 5 1/2 years. Originally purchased as a first pony for a 9 year and has also been ridden and schooled regularly by 2 adult riders in several disciplines. Very well-schooled, oodles of training with professional dressage rider. Has been to unaffiliated championships in dressage and SJ. Has been XC but this is not my daughters forte. Looks the part for dressage, knows her job with leg yields, flying changes, counter canter, shoulder in, rein back, turn on the haunches and half passes.

Has a rocking horse canter, slow paced and likes the chilled life. When pushed to jump by a crazy jump loving child she can sometimes put up objections and has been known to throw shapes in the form of bucks and the occasional rear! However, give her the lazier slower pace of life and she's happy. Not suitable for a child who wants to jump jump jump as she'll just object.

In the main she is not one bit mareish, you won’t find a more ploddy nice paced mare but in the interests of being fully honest, she can every so often chance her arm, show a touch of dominance in a small rear and if pushed too much and wants to go back to her stable will throw some shapes and have a cheeky buck. Never, ever dirty or nasty… just needs rider to be competent to handle her in these moments. My daughter has managed her since a 9 year old and is now 14. Can be months in between doing this, even a year but want a future buyer to know she can do it. Never a single day sick, sorry or lame.

Jumps 80/90 comfortably but for a younger rider will mess around with jumping if she's had enough. A very loving, calm, forgiving pony. Can be left a week or two and is no different when you get back on. Great with younger children on lead rein and equally have had 70+ year old grandmother on her. Children as young as 2 have been on her countless times and she’s good as gold. Children regularly back flip off her bottom and sideways, gets ridden to the field bare back and backwards and doesn't bat an eyelid... Likes the quieter life and is definitely more kick than go!! Loveable, kind and trainable nature, abundance of pure class. She would really suit a therapy type home or in hand showing... or someone who wants to do very little, schooling and the odd hack.

Calm and un-phased in traffic, deals calmly with all farm machinery and regularly hacked out with large and small dogs by her side and not fazed by various livestock. Hacks alone or in company, if in company prefers to follow. Absolute dream in the stable and has impeccable manners.

Loads well - trailer or lorry.

Perfect feet.

Perfect for dentist.

Full physio work up every 3 months since owning her.

In the field, will want to hog the gate and be first out or fed first... will chase others away to make sure she is Queen Bee! Shares a field with my 148 gelding and adores him.

Has previously had a foal years ago prior to us buying her.

WILL NOT SELL TO A YOUNG INEXPERIENCED CHILD.

Very sad sale of our much loved lady. Serious enquiries only, no dealers. Best home is a must for this beauty.

Sophia - DOYLAN SOPHIA’S GIFT. 8 years old dun mare

Sophia has done pc camp, rally’s and games this is not her favourite discipline & happy to discuss further.

SJ

XC schooling

Mia spends hours playing with Sophia in the round pen.

Sophia is very much a get on with the job kind of pony, she is very bouncy and forward from the moment you hit the saddle. Nearly all her exercise is done in big open fields and Mia doesn’t have any issues she is just a real good fun forward pony. She likes a rider who will talk to her and takes lots of reassurance from that.

Sophia would make an amazing BS pony as she can jump for fun and has all the speed and agility to get her legs out of the way if on the wrong stride.

Pony racing would be another thing she would excel at. Eventing , tet, dressage or showing these are all things Sophie could go on to excel at with the right rider.

She needs a kind handed jockey, someone brave but sympathetic.

This is a very sad decision for us so please no time wasters.

Good to catch, clip, vet, load, farrier ect

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth.

She is the easiest pony to take away and regularly travels 6 plus hours to stay away shows. She stables or corrals.

Trigger is an ideal teenagers pony to go out and have loads of fun with.

Registered Section D x Arab on a green passport.

Really sad sale due to GCSE's starting

Trigger has a huge personality at our yard.

He's your typical Sec D and is fully aware of just how gorgeous he is.

He's nice and responsive with good breaks. Ridden in a snaffle and quite often used for lessons.

He's done a bit of everything with us over the last year. Showjumping, cross country, beach rides etc.

He can work well in an outline and really loves jumping.

He's not suitable for a complete novice due to him still being a little green. But perfect for a confident teen to grow with and have fun.

He's just past a 2 stage vetting for my licence and is up to date with everything.

He wears front shoes and is good with the farrier.

Good hacking but currently does not hack alone from our yard due to rules other than he wouldn't.

Loads fine but can be a fidget in the trailer till you get going.

No personal space awareness! He likes to be right in your business and help with whatever you're doing!

Honest write up of a really gorgeous pony with heaps of personality and presence.
