  • Been there done it!

Daisy is a truly special pony who brings a smile to everyone on the yard. She has the sweetest temperament and has long been a firm favourite wherever she goes.

She has enjoyed a wonderful and varied career, always living in caring, family homes. Daisy has turned her hoof to just about everything: from BS and unaffiliated show jumping, to Pony Club activities, and more recently taking on the role of a fantastic second pony for children. She has taught young riders with patience and kindness, giving them confidence while still having plenty of ability and enthusiasm.

Despite her age, Daisy has lots of life left and plenty still to offer her next little rider. She’s naturally forward off the leg, but remains quiet, sensible, and not strong. She loves her hacking and is safe in open spaces.

Daisy is excellent to travel both alone or in company, making outings stress-free and straightforward. She’s very well behaved for the farrier, dentist, and vet, always showing her gentle nature. Out in the field, she gets along beautifully with other ponies but is equally content grazing alone.

She’s easy to have around, affectionate, and a genuine pleasure in every way—someone will be incredibly lucky to have her.

Top Class Allrounder – Kind & Talented rising 5yo Class 1 Connemara Mare

Introducing Sophie, a stunning rising 5-year-old Class 1 purebred Connemara mare, standing at 14.2hh. Sophie is the definition of a traditional Connemara pony—she has a leg in each corner, a beautiful head, a kind eye, and a calm, generous nature that makes her a pleasure to work with every day.

Sophie has the ideal temperament for a novice rider, a riding school program, a mother-daughter share, or a young rider wanting to do a bit of everything. She is sweet, steady, and exceptionally quiet, both to handle and to ride. Her laid-back attitude and genuine nature make her the kind of pony that gives confidence and always tries her best.

Under saddle, Sophie is nicely schooled with three balanced paces and a lovely rhythm. She works in a soft outline and listens well to her rider. Over fences, she really shines—she has a super jump with a careful, tidy technique that would make her an excellent working hunter or Pony Club allrounder. She is honest and uncomplicated to a fence and is equally bold and sensible out cross-country, where she never looks at a thing.

Sophie’s kind and willing attitude make her an ideal candidate for Pony Club, working hunter, or family use, and she has the temperament to suit a wide variety of riders. Whether you’re looking for a safe and straightforward pony to learn on, or a quality young mare to produce further, Sophie ticks every box.

She comes from excellent traditional Connemara bloodlines, by Tullaree Hawk (a son of the legendary Dexter Leam Pondi), out of a mare by Bobby Joe, with Garryhinch Finn also in her pedigree—names known for producing performance ponies with sound temperaments and quality conformation.

Sophie has no stable vices, passed a recent 5-stage vetting, and is open to re-vetting for serious buyers. Her price includes delivery to your yard anywhere in the UK, and if she’s not the perfect match, we offer an exchange policy for peace of mind.

Take a look at her video to see just how lovely and genuine Sophie is. For more information, feel free to call 00353868077626 or email gertytynan@gmail.com. This kind and talented mare is ready to find her forever home.

 Princess Lexie – A Once-in-a-Lifetime, Coloured 12-Year-Old Mare, 14.2hh
A true schoolmistress • Confidence giver • Mother’s dream

Princess Lexie is exactly what her name suggests — an absolute princess and a rare gem of a horse. At 12 years old, this beautifully marked coloured mare has proven herself time and time again to be a one-in-a-million partner for riders of all ages and abilities.

? Temperament & Handling

Lexie is an angel in every way. She has the kindest, sweetest nature and is a complete pleasure to have on the yard. Her manners are impeccable — quiet and easy to shoe, box, catch, clip, ride, and handle in all situations, including busy traffic and new environments. She has a wonderfully willing temperament and shines brightest when she is building confidence in her rider.

Ridden regularly by novice students, Lexie takes everything in her stride. She is calm, forgiving, and always looks after her rider, even in tricky moments. The epitome of safety and steadiness, she truly is a confidence giver and an ideal mother–daughter share.

Riding & Performance

Princess Lexie is a true schoolmistress with experience across multiple disciplines:

• Cross Country:

Her absolute favourite job! Lexie loves XC — always taking every jump in her stride, always honest, and always eager. She has a natural enthusiasm for fences, takes everything on with pricked ears, and always makes sure to carry her rider safely to the other side.

• Show Jumping:

Schooled over coloured poles and happily jumping up to 80cm here. She would be the perfect pony to take a child from cross poles to more technical courses with confidence and fun.

• Flatwork:

Beautifully schooled on the flat, with three balanced, expressive paces and a super straight way of going. She has the presence and movement to shine in show classes.

• Hacking & Pleasure Riding:

A dream hack — relaxed, reliable, and unfazed by traffic. Happy to go out alone or in company.

• Previous Experience:

Has hunted, taken part in hunter trials, and enjoyed pony club activities. She is versatile and willing, making her suitable for almost any loving home.

? Conformation & Type

Lexie is extremely well put together — a proper model of a mare with good bone, substance, and an eye-catching coat pattern. She is beautifully marked and stands out wherever she goes.

Ideal Home

She would be an outstanding fit for:

A novice rider
A mother–daughter share
A riding school looking for a safe, quality mare
A pony club home
A fun, happy-hacking home
A family searching for a trustworthy, kind partner

Lexie has no stable vices, is open to any vetting, and comes with complete peace of mind.

We are having to sell Charlie as our daughter is concentrating on her education.

When we first bought Charlie back in 2020 he was competing at Pony Club events in Yorkshire

We stabled him near us and used him at the Stable yard events and hacked him etc, but interests and change in lifestyle now means that we need to sell him on to another loving home.

Charlie Hacks, Jumps, Schools well - fetching and grooming, feet picking is second nature to Charlie.

He is not a first pony as he is willing to go forward and needs that experience and confidence from the rider (When hacking)

In an arena he is quite used to having all sorts or persons of riding abilities on him and is solid as he was once used as a schooling pony between 2021-2024.

We started to train him to drive and although at the early stages he seems to be good although we have not got actually putting a cart on him yest.

He is currently stabled at a family members residence.

He is priced for a swift sale.

Bear is a lovely bay, registered New Forest gelding with a kind, willing temperament. Although only four, he has an old head on young shoulders and has already shown how sensible and genuine he is.

He’s done an intro dressage test and is jumping 60cm in the ring, and has happily popped over a few logs while out hacking. He goes in a snaffle at all times and has been ridden by a small child both at home and a show.

He hacks alone and in company, and is easy to do—good to clip, loads in a trailer and is generally lovely to have around.

Bear would make a fantastic Pony Club/all round pony or he would be equally happy in a happy hacking home.

He does have a mild locking stifle which he may well grow out of with age and as he strengthens. However, this is well managed through living out 24/7 and hasn’t stopped him from enjoying his job.

He is the most lovely pony and will only be sold to a genuine, loving home. Otherwise he will be kept as my hunting pony.

A super pony that is fantastic to handle and very easy to do in all ways. Only ever ridden in a snaffle. Approx 13.3hh

A very forward going pony, which will make someone's best friend and competition pony with a knowledgeable owner due to his young age. He is still very green and has not been rushed with us.

He has been ridden a number of times in the ménage on the flat and hacking with a 9 year old and has been very well behaved.

Dressage - he has competed at his first competition, and behaved extremely well taking everything in his stride, with so much more potential with further training.

Showjumping - he has been training at home and has the potential to make an awesome competition pony with the right rider. He recently competed at his first showjumping event.

Hacking - he is great to hack alone and in company, never silly. Ridden in open fields in a group & on his own, always well mannered.

Good to box, clip, shoe. Up to date with vaccines, physio and dentist.

He is a fantastic little pony and now looking for his next rider to bring him on further.

MIDNIGHT
Striking 2019 black ride & drive cob mare standing at a full up 14.2hh.

This lovely mare is a happy hackers dream, she doesn’t want to go round and round an arena, she wants to be out in the open countryside hacking for hours, or driving.

Midnight is very steady, she will tolerate a complete novice, great confidence giver and is an absolute armchair to ride. She’s steady, safe and easy.

Midnight has three comfortable paces, she’s a weight carrier and hugely takes up the leg, she has her full history known, and has always been a driving and hacking cob, she will go out in 60MPH traffic, isn’t worried about the heaviest and scariest of traffic and is absolutely everything you want and need from a hack.

To drive, Midnight would even suit a beginner driver, someone learning the ropes, she is so easy, confidence giving and straightforward to drive, she jogs out, off and on road, and she will stand patiently at junctions and waits.

Just a super ride and drive with a great attitude and willingness.

A granny’s hack or an out and out driving cob.

She is a kind, trustworthy and easy mare on the ground, laid back and quiet.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Rio is a stunning 12hh Welsh Mountain pony with lovely conformation and very pretty looks. He has been well handled by children since he was a yearling, making him kind, and easy to do in every way.

He is beautifully bred, sired by Springlane Prophet and out of Delami Misdemeanor.

Rio is a super mover with a naturally nice way of going. He has been lightly backed, long-reined, and is taking everything in his stride. He has been to shows and always comes home with a rosette.

He is easy to load and travels well, and is good with the vet and farrier. He loves people, enjoys attention, and has a sweet, friendly nature.

This is a sad sale only because we are too busy to give him the time and work he deserves. He would make a fantastic young pony for someone wanting a quality Welsh to continue producing.

Sold from field.

Hugo is not in any ridden work and hasn't been for several months due to not having a rider for him. He hasn't been in consistent ridden work for about a year due to being outgrown, I should have sold him then but I was clinging on to him as he is such a sweetheart.

Temperament wise he is just the best, loves a fuss and easy to do, loads himself, brilliant to catch, clip, shoe etc.

Ridden wise he can be spooky and therefore isn't suited as a first ridden, either lead rein with competent home or as a 2nd pony for a little rider who isn't worried about the spooks.

He has been with us for 2.5 years and in that time has done PC, PC camp, local shows and hacking. He is great in traffic, will go first or last but does prefer to follow.

Snaffle mouthed at all times, not forward going! Will jump but hasn't done in a while, doesn't look at fillers.

Need to find him a knowledgeable home who will bring him back into work slowly and properly to bring out the best in him. Will be sold with numerous rugs and bridle. Home of utmost importance.

We have had Chip (Pathfinder Olympic Flame) for nearly 5 years so know him inside out. He is a pleasure to do in all ways, on the ground and to be ridden. He has a massive personality and definitely a character on the yard. This is an extremely hard decision but my daughter has left for university and he will be wasted sitting at home. So we have decided it is time for Chip to teach someone new.

Chip is currently competing at 90cm showjumping unaffiliated. He is very careful and neat so he will usually go clear. He is currently schooling out cross country at 80cm and adding in some 90cm where he can. He is a pony that responds better to patiently building confidence. However, he is bold out cross country and absolute loves it. He has done one ODE last year I had planned to do more this year but unfortunately A levels came in the way of that.

He currently competes at prelim and novice in dressage. He does really like schooling and with the right person could easily excel at novice level. Chip is also a pro at pony club he has attended many rallies and has gone to 4 pony club camps and this is something he really enjoys. In the top class at PC he is often the demonstrator for schooling/dressage moves. Out hacking Chip can go in the font back middle he is very reliable and he's been a nanny to our other baby horse. He has also lived on farms so is very used to farm machinery and dogs. Chip is a very handsome pony wherever we go he always gets compliments.

Having said this he is not a first pony when Chip gets excited he can throw in a buck it is never to be nasty (and as he has grown up this is now very rare). He is also not a push button pony he wants you to work with him. He is a very honest pony but sometimes if he feels that you don't want to do something then he won't do it so he needs a confident rider. So for these reasons no novices please.

Unfortunately in September of 2023 Chip had a gastric impaction (following over consumption of a blackberry hedge - yes he loves his food!) (happy to discuss the details with full vet report and medical history). However this was 2 years ago and not had any problems since and doesn't affect him in anyway. Apart from this incident he is never sick or sorry.

Chip is up to date with vacs, teeth, physio etc .

He is good to load, clip and with farrier ( he has never had shoes on) .

He will come with all tack saddle, bridle, rugs etc

An ideal home for chip would be someone who wants to do a bit of everything and have fun with a safe sensible cheeky pony. He would also be a mother daughter/son dream. (I (Mum) very much enjoy riding him as he is so easy and safe out hacking and he has even popped a few 90cm jumps for me) Chip is a very sociable boy so he does need friends in his field he would hate to live alone. This is an extremely hard decision so please only enquire if you are serious, 5 star home only.

13.1hh | 8-Year-Old Welsh Section C Mare

Sire: Joyton May Be Black (by Parvadean Diplomat)
Dam: Laurtom Red Hot (by Brynmeillion Llewelyn)

Red is a beautifully bred, quality Welsh Section C mare—true to type with substance, presence, and an exceptional temperament.

Well-handled since a youngster, she is calm, kind, and a genuine pleasure to have on the yard.

Backed and riding away, Red is showing real promise under saddle and would make an ideal project for someone looking to produce a talented, willing pony. She was recently loaned by Blenheim Palace to a young rider who needed to regain her confidence, where she was happily hacked out and popped small jumps.

She would make a wonderful second pony or a lovely mother–daughter share.

Currently wasted through lack of time and deserves someone who can continue her education and bring out her full potential.

  • Stunning Great Mare With Loads Of Welsh Sparkle
  • Full Of Traditional Bloodlines
  • Suitable For A Child's Pony, Driving Pony Or A Broodmare With Her Breeding

Llafar Rock-Queen Will Excel In Any Discipline She Will Put Her Hoof To. She's Got Lovely Flashy Paces And Certainly Knows How To Fly The Flag For Wales.
She is so full of sassyness and look at me attitude

Her breeder is J. Dart from Anglesey WPCS Judge

Rock-Queen has been bred for her quality and temperament for which she has in abundance and is so chilled and has a willing to learn
Most of the Llafar Stud foals are sold abroad and are doing extremely well in their chosen careers.

She is up to date with her Vaccinations, Teeth and Feet. She's currently barefoot and has never had any shoes on.

She's so calm and very confident that she can be schooled by a child as well as an adult. She lunges with her bridle and saddle, or just a headcollar on as well as free rein.

She's learning Liberty and is picking it up quickly, She long reins beautifully and would be suitable for riding as well as driving with a bit more schooling.

She is a late starter with riding as she has been started this year and is riding away nicely with someone walking at her side. I am working with her to build up her paces as well as some lateral work from the ground.

The picture with the girl on her was taken about 10 minutes after backing her, she really is that calm about everything.

Rock-Queen has been shown Lightly In-Hand at Selby in the summer
She came a respectable 2nd and 3rd in her classes which were large ones.

As she has not been long as she was started and she is still green and sharp, I would recommend that she would make a fantastic 2nd ridden pony for a child although with some more schooling she will make a brilliant 1st ridden as she looks after her jockey already.

She's not been jumped under saddle, so she's very low mileage with no problem, she's just jumped in the field, but she's got a cracking careful jump.

Rock-Queen just needs a friend who wants to go and have some fun with her. She hasn't got a jockey with us anymore and she's too good to be wasted being a field ornament

If you feel that you are the right person for her or you would like some videos of her, then please get in touch.
